The Barge and Bottle in North Kesteven

Had a fantastic afternoon in the Barge and Bottle to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. The buffet was fab and the staff couldn't do enough for us. First class, thank you 👏👏

Really friendly staff, excellent service, nothing too much trouble. They were busy, but served efficiently and with a smile - terrific. Food was delicious, large portions, nice presentation. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and value for money. If we lived nearer we would not hesitate to return at the slightest excuse!

We arent from the area and came across this place on google, a review saying ‘new favourite place to eat in sleaford.’ so we thought we would give it a try. It was definitely worth it. not bad pricing with excellent quality food. would highly recommend!

This is a fabulous place. What a discovery! There's a massive menu with everything you could possibly imagine. I was expecting decent pub grub but could not believe the quality of food on offer. I had large grimsby haddock and chips - delicious. So fresh and a big portion. We also had pizza -again, freshly cooked and home made. I could see people around having lovely roasts too. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The atmosphere in the place is lovely - not too loud and pubby. Good space between tables and nice booths. I don't know how they manage to have such a wide ranging menu and produce it so freshly. Would highly recommend. Ps reasonable prices!

Great pub. Has slowly become a regular for us over the last 3/4 years, had a 20+ person Xmas do there which which was excellent.

We were there for a Club Christmas Lunch, 30 of us, pre-booked. The service by management and staff was excellent, pleasant, polite, helpful, could not have been better, made us all feel as if we were the most important customer they had. We were served quickly, which was tricky for the staff as there was a very good choice of starters, mains, sweets/cheese and biscuits, everyone that I spoke to thoroughly enjoyed their meal. For myself and my wife, our meals of salmon and turkey, respectively, were excellent quality and there was plenty of food on our plates, first class. One member of our party, who was there without his wife, asked if it was possible for the staff to make up a small portion for him to take home, for his wife, this they gladly did, and refused to take any payment for it. The whole Christmas Lunch experience just could not have been better. Thank you Mick, Donna and all the staff, especially the chef.

Went to the Barge and Bottle, Carre Street, Sleaford , Lincolnshire For Sunday lunch we had exceptionally friendly welcoming on arrival and being shown to our reserved table. Asked immediately if we wanted a drink whilst we looked at our choices from the extensive menu’s. We both had Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. The drinks arrived a short time later . Including a bowl of water for our Dog which we had taken with us. Several members of staff came over to say hello and acknowledge the dog , very friendly. The food arrived a short time later, far to much for us to eat, 7 kinds of vegetables and a pot of gravy . Excellent food , so much we couldn’t manage a dessert. All for £40 . My family and I went to the Barge for a Sunday roast and it was lovely. The food was excellent and the service was so quick, even though they were very busy! Would recommend to anyone in the Sleaford area

Me and my friend came in on Saturday, it was extremely busy however they still managed to find us a table (as we forgot to book!) and despite how busy they were they couldn’t do more for us. On top of that the food was delicious! Thank you!

Wow, what an amazing experience at the Barge and Bottle for New Years eve 2023. Donna and Mick absolutely know how to put on a show, combine that with such amazing staff, Richard, Chris and Clive were as always fabulous (everyone one else but too many to mention). We started with Mussels in a garlic, white wine and cream sauce which as the photo shows was amazing, I then had quite possibly one of the best steaks I had ever had, well rested, lovely and pink in the middle. Thanks to the whole team (joe) great chef and part of a brilliant backroom group who constantly excel at great food and presentation. Cheers folks - keep safe and above all keep smiling.

A table of 11 of us descended on The Barge for New Year’s Eve. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was phenomenal, the service, as it always is, was professional and friendly. Always made to feel welcome, and always a great night out, New Year’s Eve was outstanding even by their own high standards. The best New Year’s Eve we’ve had for 20 years, hands down. Thank you Mick, Donna and the whole Team. Look forward to more of the same in 2024.

It always amazes me that whenever I visit the Barge &Bottle, the experience is always one hundred percent. Given the extensive menu they provide, the food is always hot, tasty, wholesome and presented well. The Chef caters for everyone! The staff within the restaurant/bar are literally dynamo’s! They move at the speed of light to make sure you get your food at its best. You will receive the best welcome ever and a grateful thank you and goodbye. In my opinion the Barge & Bottle is the Hub of Sleaford and provides an environment that all can enjoy. Well done everyone. Wishing you the very best for 2024.
