Cheerful welcome, agreeable atmosphere, excellent food, generous portions, attractive choices. Enjoyed whitebait, then mushroom linguine and nice wine.

Met friends for lunch on Saturday 9th March 2024. Hadn't eaten here before but menu is surprisingly varied and good. I had the sweet potato and beetroot Wellington which is vegan, I am vegetarian, with salad and gorgeous great big real chips. The service was very good even though the Bar was busy. All 6 of us enjoyed our lunch and plan to have a return visit

We enjoyed our dinner at the Bar. It is on a lovely marina area and the food was excellent as was the service even though it was very busy. We would definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

Went for Sunday lunch with our friends who live nearby got to say the food is top notch and plenty of it highly recommended it you must book through as very popular the beef is to die for

Sunday lunch…wow, delicious meat cooked to perfection, tasty gravy with good selection of vegetables. Staff as cool and friendly as ever. This has to be one of the top venues as a restaurant along with a welcoming group of staff.

What a find! The food was amazing and the staff equally so! Best belly pork I've ever tasted, the parmesan pots were creamy dauphinoise potatoes with the right amount of cheese! And the sauce (mustard with a hint of tarragon) really complimented the dish. The restaurant is in a prime location for discreet people watching, ample car parking plus a lift to the restaurant. Went twice this week, had to be retained from visiting every night!

Tried to get a table at the Var for 2 weeks and with perseverance finally got in !! So glad as absolutely fantastic !! Staff really friendly and attentive and nothing too much trouble. Foil was first rate and the meat tender and cooked to perfection. Great selection of vegetables and creamy cheese leeks too were gorgeous!! Had starters and pudding and portion sizes very generous. Would highly recommend and will return but book well in advance… You will not regret it !!

Visited for lunch on a Saturday. This place is amazing and I have only praise for the food and service. Husband had whitebait, prawn, crab and salmon platter and I had the cod and chips. All beautiful, very well cooked, tasty and well presented. Establishment is spotless which is reassuring. Generous portions, fresh salad and amazing chips. I had the trifle for dessert, the best I’ve ever tasted. On previous visits I have had the lasagna, definitely the best I’ve ever had. Service was excellent, the gentleman on his trial shift is a natural when conversing with customers, was very friendly and professional. Large choice of drinks. Huge thanks, and see you again soon!

Went for Sunday lunch and although we’ve been in the evening to eat at the bar before never had Sunday dinner. Was absolutely gorgeous , plenty of it and I had the veggie option also yummy . Lovley friendly staff serving . Definitely be going back just need to book a little in advance as books up quickly .

Amazing food. This time I had the fish n chips - Two pieces of well cooked fresh battered fish stacked on the plate. It was too tasty to leave any! Liam and his staff are always friendly - quick service- reasonable prices and lots of choice. Can't wait to go back.

By far the nicest meal we’ve had in a very long time, possibly even ever!! The food was amazing - all beautifully fresh & delicious fish / seafood. Service was very good, bit of a wait for the food due to a small kitchen but with gorgeous views, atmosphere and food it was well worth it. Only complaint was that portions were huge, almost didn’t have room for dessert which would have been a shame as they too were divine! Thank you 😊

Have visited The Bar for quite a few family meals/celebrations and are consistently wonderful meals every time. Plenty of parking but quite a flight of steps up to the restaurant so wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. We arrived late but phoned ahead to explain why and they were still so accommodating when we finally arrived ten minutes late! The fish here is sooo tasty and massive portion sizes! Had to take half home with me for later! Other meals in the party ranged from steaks, burgers, crab etc... and were thoroughly enjoyed by all. Will definitely return to The Bar in the future and is one of my favourite restaurants in Pembrokeshire!

The BEST fish and chips anywhere! You get two sizeable pieces of well-cooked cod in a crispy Doom Bar beer batter for £14.95. The amount of fish may be too much for some, so I think they should have the option of a light-bite option of one piece for say £8 - especially at lunch time, as we were very full afterwards! It comes with salad rather than peas which is slightly odd. The only thing I didn’t like with the salad was that the cucumber was cut in thin strips with the skin on - as I don’t like to eat the skin, I ended up with tiny strips of cucumber after the hassle of cutting the skin off - my wife couldn’t be bothered to do that so left all the cucumber strips. The window seats overlook the boats in the marina and the staff are helpful and friendly. The restaurant is up quite a large number of wooden steps to the first floor, so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. Overall, we love having fish and chips here!

Once again we held a private function at the bar the food and staff were exceptional and the evening was a great success all down to them

We were recommended to dine here and we were not disappointed. We were a table of 10 and we hadn't booked so we were expecting to be turned away. Just the opposite, the staff were extremely professional, they soon pushed two tables together. The food was good and not over priced, there were no errors in our beverage or food order. The staff were happy and nothing was to much trouble. I would certainly recommend this restaurant, I am planning to revisit the next time I am in the area.

Fantastic food and service. The cod and chips was amazing. Having had supposedly the same meal a couple of weeks ago in a pub in St David’s there was no comparison. 2 large pieces of cod, lovely salad and rustic chips, at The Bar or...

Neyland Masonic lodge held a private party for 62 guests the food was excellent all served hot and by the efficient staff nothing was a problem to the staff will be using this venue for BBQ in the summer

Called last Sunday to make a booking for 5 and again yesterday to increase to 6 but was told that there was no booking and they were full. They asked to be given 10 minutes and called back after half an hour to say no...

This is a great place to eat. Sarah and her Team provide a fantastic service and are always friendly and helpful. We have been coming to Pembrokeshire from Birmingham every weekend for a year now and have visited this Restaurant about 1/2 a dozen times....

Visited today, with a friend for lunch. Nice variety on the menu, I choose Whitebait, massive favourite of mine, it came with bread and salad bowl, so tasty and a good portion for lunch. My friend had the chicken, bacon Caesar salad which was massive....

What a great Christmas meal, throughly enjoyed by all. The lady with grey hair (think her name was Sarah), what a laugh she was. 10/10 would recommend.

Had an amazing meal tonight with friends. Portions were large, piping hot and service was quick. Our waiter was attentive and very accommodating. He could not do enough to ensure that a great time was had.

Today we had THE best Sunday roast we've ever had in a restaurant !! ..And we've tried many. Great Service , Meals delivered quickly, So much food If your looking for a homecooked style roast , you will not be disappointed. We can not wait to return..Our new favourite place to eat !!

What a great find down on the marina in Milford Haven. Free parking for miles for the time being lovely walks nearby. Dog friendly in good wether as you can sit outside on the patio with a view.Inside is pleasant still partitioned off with Covid screens and will be better when back to normal but don’t let this out you off.Food is great with a good bar.Fish and chips is not for the small appetite but very good. All seafood dishes excellent as you would expect given the location and clientele.I have been there twice and would go again . Lovely place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. All the meals were very tasty and well presented, but be warned the portions are generous, so make sure you pace yourself. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and also attentive. I would definitley revisit the Bar and also recommend it to anyone looking for a good dining experience.

From arrival we were made to feel so welcome. Taken straight to our table. Liam was such a great host. Food was outstanding.6 of us ate and we all had different meals, each and everyone one of us commented on how stunning they were. Not only did they look great they tasted amazing and there was plenty of it. Desserts just topped the whole meal off. Great value for a 5* service. Can't recommend enough. Already booked to go again. This for me is Pembrokeshire at its bets!

This is the best restaurant we visited whilst on holiday, the food was wonderful. Very friendly staff and a beautiful location overlooking the marina. If we lived in Wales I would definitely be a frequent diner!

Super busy but still managed to fit us in last minute. Staff were so friendly and laughable. Gave us some lush bread and pesto whilst waiting for food. I had a medium rare steak and it’s the best I’ve had in my entire life! No other restaurant could beat it. My friend had a chicken burger and it was huge. Portions were amazing for prices. A great atmosphere

We popped in here for lunch a last minute thing we rang to book a table and Liam managed to squeeze us in always met with a friendly smile and nothing is too much trouble this place does the best food in town it's delicious had the fish and chips but asked for a small one as it's more than enough as usual it was lovely can't wait to pop in again

Had dinner here on a Friday night and it was the best meal I've had in a restaurant in Pembrokeshire by far. The staff were friendly and polite, the food came out promptly and was piping hot. Then the food....wow! Fantastic quality produce, perfectly seasoned, flavourful and plenty of it. The portion sizes were huge! I had crispy belly pork with creamy potatoes and onion rings in a peppercorn sauce. it was superb! And all at a very reasonable price.I'll will definitely be back to work my way through their delicious menu.

Visited for lunch with my husband recently, we sat out on the flower covered balcony which over looks the marina, stunning backdrop for a romantic meal for 2.The staff were prompt and friendly, excellent customer service throughout our visit. The food was delicious, generous portion sizes with reasonable pricing. A*

Arrived 14.00 for a late Lunch, on a beautiful Summer afternoon, hoping to sit out on ‘The Bar’ terrace. However, my wife and I were told ‘The Bar’ had apparently just closed for business. However, the ‘live on line’ advice was that the restaurant was fully open until 23.00 and very busy, at a peak time of 15.00 on the same day which was misleading! There was no explanation given, no direction to the open Cafe below and no invitation for future custom. This was a particularly disappointing experience, following long periods of enforced service business closures, due to COVID 19.

We went as a group of 6 and had lovely service and great food. Nice menu choices and the quality of the food high. Everyone was suitably impressed and therefore very easy to recommend.

Beautiful location and excellent service. The food is top class. Not a cheap meal but well worth it with generous portions. And great coffee too. A most enjoyable lunch. We'll be back.

Lovely meal for the 4 of us. Brilliant attentive staff. BLT, Ham & Eggs and Scampi all went down a treat. Very kind gesture of allowing us to bring in a birthday cake and brought it out with a candle (well they couldn't have fit 70+ on it!!)Will be back again!!

We visited The Bar when in Pembrokeshire for a week’s holiday a week ago having read the reviews on Trip advisor We were not disappointed. This was the best restaurant we had visited in Pembrokeshire and certainly one of the top restaurants we have every eaten at. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant we could see the tables were social distanced and staff were wearing masks this made us feel very safe and relaxed. We had a lovely table overlooking the marina. The staff were very friendly, and the food was exceptional with very generous portions and the prices were very reasonable. We had paid more at other restaurants and the quality was no where near what we had at The Bar. We just wish this restaurant was closer to where we live as a 3hr journey to get there is a little too far, but we will certainly visit again when next in the area. Thank you to The Bar for a very enjoyable evening and hopefully when we are all be back to normal again we will revisit.

Myself along with 3 friends had a fabulous meal at the bar! A lovely menu to choose from and polite friendly staff.As a vegetarian who is also a bit fussy i contacted them ahead of my visit and they accommodated me perfectly. I had a delicious vegetable curry with rice and naan bread. My friends meals looked delicious too and the chips were absolutely lush! We had a fab night out catching up and i look forward to returning again soon :)

Absolutely delicious food and brilliant service. Would highly recommend. The steak was cooked to perfection, the onion rings were huge and the homemade chips were definitely a hit! My husband had the Cod and failed to eat it all, two massive bits of fish. He said it was so tasty.

We ate here as a table of 8, having pre-ordered our food at the restaurant's request. The menu was small but featured something for everyone. On arrival, we received a warm welcome to the delightful restaurant which was nicely decorated with beautiful views over the marina. The waiter was great and looked after us well. Our food arrived shortly after we'd had our drinks and it was absolutely delicious - the portions were huge and everything was well seasoned, including the salad which was well-dressed.We ate:- lamb kebabs in flatbreads £13- lasagne with garlic bread £11- belly pork £15- Doombar-battered fish £11- child's ham and egg- child's scampi - child's pasta in tomato sauce (not on the menu but made especially for a little fussy eater)- Bailey's crème brulée- Nutella cheesecake- Ice creamAll of the main meals above came with tons of chunky, homemade chips (just like my nan used to make when we were kids) and salad.Pros - delicious food, huge portions, great setting, reasonable prices, friendly and polite staff, trendy setting.Cons - closed on Mondays and really popular, so book your table in advance.I'd highly recommend The Bar - it was the best meal we've had in Pembrokeshire this summer.

Having ate here at New Year I was determined that my family return with me, so our party included three adults and two young children. Tables were social distanced and staff were friendly and wore masks. The Government Eat Out Scheme was in operation when we visited. My daughter was determined to try lobster whilst in Pembrokeshire and this is definately the restaurant to try the sea food salad which was wonderful. Gammon and other salads were devoured and the children loved their scampi. The deserts of profiterols and creme brulee were shared and declared delicious. We were not rushed although we could here many telephone bookings having to be sadly rejected for this evening.

Great little spot. We visited during August 2020 when they were finding their feet post lockdown and the service was lovely. Outdoor area had a lovely feel and view of marina. They went out of their way to serve us outside and the food was unexpectedly amazing. I had the dressed crab/salmon/prawn/whitebait salad and it was a feast! So please we found this gem in Nayland.

Booked a Sunday lunch to pick up for takeaway fro family of 5. Absolutely beautiful food and loads of it! Good Social distancing system for pick up. Loved it - as did everyone else from 10 year old to 81 year old!!

We hired this venue for a private function for 80 people . We couldn't have chosen a better place . The food was first class and delivered to the table hot and quick .The staff went out of their way to accommodate some peoples special requirements.Nothing seemed to much or any trouble for the chefs and staff .We immediately booked it again for our next function

Booked this little restaurant for a family Sunday lunch before the New Year. The food was pretty good and the meat was tender. There was plenty of vegetables although I’m not a fan of tureens of vegetables served with a dinner. I would have liked to try their bar menu but we were booked in for Sunday Lunch which I’m not a massive fan of - not a criticism of the restaurant, just personal choice. Waiters and waitresses were efficient and polite.The restaurant is not easily accessible for people with mobility issues as there are about 15 steps to the entrance. Nice location but the restaurant has a lot of glass and we found it cold in December. The decor is a little dated and it could do with a makeover.The food wasn’t expensive and was good value for money to be honest. I would try it again, maybe not on a Sunday and not in the winter!

I often go for food in the Bar in Neyland! It is one of my favourites! Really tasty food and reasonable price! The staff are always really lovely and attentive, couldn't fault it!

We called in here for a meal last week, I had the fish and chips, my mouth waters just thinking about it, it was delicious..I kept being nosey at meals being delivered to other tables, they also looked just as good..The setting is lovely.The staff were helpful, polite and professional..I could not find fault with anything, will certainly visit again next time I am in the area,..

Excellent breakfasts, we had avocado, egg, tomato on toast and a massive traditional vegetarian breakfast. Everything was well seasoned and nicely presented. I wish this was offered all week not just a Friday and Saturday.

Absolutely brilliant food my steak was lovely and the peppercorn saice was to die for! The only negative thing was the ice cream was too cold.

A last minute decision to try this restaurant in Neyland found my wife and I totally won over by the quality of the food and the speed and efficiency of the service. Liam and his co-worker (didn't get her name) worked speedily and quietly throughout the busy lunchtime session. I did two things I don't normally do - first I had a dessert and secondly I LEFT A TIP!! Suggestion would be to book as the tables filled almost as soon as we got there. We'll done to all involved - kitchen and front of house - will be back soon

Sheltering in here after gale warning at sea. Sailed in and had a very welcome dinner here. Menu was very extensive and had lots to tempt al three of us.

If you like boats, this is the ideal place to relax and watch plenty of movement on the water. Very friendly and welcoming staff

The food served at the Bar is excellent - 24 hour cooked rib, pork belly, lamb tagine, vegetarian pasta - all sampled on recently visits and all excellent. The portions are huge, everything is well cooked and tasty. The chips are home made and delicious. The restaurant overlooks the marina and has a fabulous view. The staff are helpful and friendly and I’m so pleased to have this restaurant on my door stop.

We were staying in the Marina and on our last visit has been unable to eat here as they were fully booked (always a good sign). This visit we first visited just for drinks. The waitresses Lucy and Jas were a pleasure, they provided a great service and chatted to us about the local area and took an interest in what we were doing in Neyland. We were impressed at the number of beers on draught too.

Just had a lunchtime meal friends visiting us and thought we try The Bar and found it faultless on food with friendly staff.A great location overlooking the marina at Neyland.5 star.

Had a lovely meal here, beautiful views and top notch service. We was lucky to get a nice table with how busy they were and definitely made the right choice ordering the fresh crab! Absolutely perfect can't wait to go back agaun.

Went for lunch at the cafe downstairs which was very busy but spotted this place on our way back. Views amazing. Food amazing. Service amaze. I had the baguette which was filled to capacity , a fresh salad and truly homemade chips. Hubby had the cawl and enjoyed every last mouthful. Will definitely go again and if you don’t know the place please find it!!

Visited for Sunday Lunch. Opted not to have a starter which was just as well as the main course consisted of VERY generous portions of both meat and vegetables all beautifully cooked and presented. The desserts were also presented very well and were certainly not the miniatures some places serve. Service was swift and friendly and drink prices reasonable. The only downsides were an exterior flight of steps to reach the first floor location - very much offset by the view of the marina and beyond and the low ceiling can make the fully booked venue somewhat noisy - especially if you have a middle aged oaf obviously wanting the whole room to know that he was buying a round - but perhaps it was such a rare event that it needed a fanfare. Even he didn't spoil a very enjoyable meal.

If you’re looking for a good feed and not wanting to leave hungry, then you could do a lot worse than the bar. A beautiful selection of food from crab with prawns, salmon etc. to excellent fish and chips. Nice selection of deserts also and decent coffee. Staff were pleasant and very efficient. Overlooking the marina in a nicely laid out restaurant. Got a tad hot in the restaurant today so finished off with a drink on the outdoor patio area. A lovely afternoon!

We went with our neighbours for a meal. it was all good friendly staff nice hot food good amount on plate.

The menu was interesting but we all wanted crab but only one portion was available. A bit too child friendly for my taste and an overconfident/familiar young waiter. Not very helpful.

It was that giood the first time, we went back again. The views of the marina are fantastic, try to get a window seat when you book. The menu is interesting, with lots of good choices. The staff are all attentive, with drinks orders and food taken at your table. Would highly recommend.
