The Bank Wine Bar and Bistro in Wrexham

Fantastic food! I love the small plates lets you try so many things. The lamb lollipops were especially delicious! The environment is beautiful and laid back fine dining. The restaurant and bathrooms were so clean and beautiful.

Wonderful service and food set in beautiful surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and Alex and the waitresses were the perfect hosts. Will definitely come back - multiple times! Joanne

Came here for mine and my girlfriends anniversary and booked a table for a Saturday night. The atmosphere was good (it was busy which was unsurprising) and the food was excellent. We had small dishes and all of them were really tasty and well cooked. Will definitely be coming back again when we can!

My daughter and I ate at The Bank last Saturday. The food and ambience were fabulous! The staff were very helpful, pleasant and friendly. Our server was Macy, she was just lovely! Well done to Alec, the manager, for giving Wrexham this superb venue! Mary

We walked in after dinner expecting a quick glass of wine before heading out but ended up staying for hours! We were fortunate enough to meet the owner and chef who treated us like old friends. The wine suggestions matched to our tastes perfectly! Our only regret was not coming earlier in the evening to try the food.

My wife and I visited for a Valentines meal. We have visited a number of times before and never been disappointed. The new menu was great and the staff were knowledgeable, attentive and generally lovely. We took advantage of the 6 plates and bottle of Prosecco offer that they were running that day which was brilliant value for money. Despite polishing off all 6 small plates we both found room for dessert which were equally magnificent. For a romantic meal, a casual get together or any other reason I cannot recommended The Bank highly enough.

A lovely night, nice place shame there were not more in. Went for the Tuesday Tapas, excellent. 6 Tapas per couple plus a bottle of wine for £45. Beautifully cooked and served. Thanks to Will and Jasmine. We will return

Rubbish time at the Bank today. Was closing at 2pm we didn't know and we had booked and we were told to be out within the hour. Complained and did not even receive an apology. Would not go again and would not recommend. No atmosphere very poor from a local business.

What a real pleasure it was to have lunch here. The staff were helpful - explaining the menu and being attentive without being overbearing - the service was great, and the food was delicious. Can strongly recommend the duck hash browns and turkey pigs in blankets! 😋

Best place in Wrexham. If you struggling something different from pub food, just come to this place. I had large meal with seafood and veggies. Everything was tasty, well cooked.

We visited the bank this afternoon ( me, wife, daughter * 11 months) from the start, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We order our food, and the babies' meal came out first, helping us out as parents enjoy our meal and relax (happy baby). Food was lovely, highly recommended the prawns and squid!! Thanks again to the staff and chef for the lovely relaxed meal. Highly recommended.

Great visit on Tuesday evening. Two very friendly and helpful staff members. Great atmosphere and food. Although the menu might appear limited initially there is plenty to choose from. Our only comment would be that we would have been happy to receive dishes as they were cooked rather than everything arriving all at once given it is tapas style. Definitely on the list for return.

Lady was really rude.. wouldnt serve me at the bar and when I asked her what the problem was she told me we are table service only. So I sat down and waited to be served while watching her serve customers which has just walked though the door AT THE BAR... I then I walked back over to the bar to ask if me and my friend could get have a cocktail. She then decided to serve some other people ahead of me and then eventually served us. Really weird atmosphere and could not understand what her problem was

Our first visit and it won’t be our last. Delicious tapas-style food, excellent service and a unique and quirky location - renovated old-fashioned bank where a trip to the loo leads you past the old bank vault with strong room visible. Good atmosphere too.

Great food lovley helpful staff. Jasmine and Kia credit to the business ,friendly welcoming and above all helpful. Great food and drinks highly recomend very good bistro cannot fault.

Very nice friendly place. We didn't eat so haven't given 5 stars for food but tbh it looked really good. We we just still full from lunchtime. Really enjoyed out cocktails.

Not impressed,party upstairs wasn't the best,food was poor and not enough to go round,they ran out of pink ginn 9pm and said there was no more,why he couldn't get one from downstairs was anyones guess,poor choice of lagers as well,wouldn't recommend at all

Great tapas - partner and I popped in at the beginning of the evening and the service we got was fantastic. The food all came out at the same time which was convenient, and I couldn’t fault any of the items we ordered, they were all delicious. Lovely cocktails too!

Only discovered this place recently as we hardly ever go into town. But this is worth a trip. Fantastic food expertly cooked, beautifully presented, delicious and different. Excellent choice of cocktails and all brilliantly crafted. Service is friendly, unobtrusive but effective. Highly recommended and a real asset to Wrexham as a high level dining experience.

Amazing food and drinks!!! Can't believe I've never been to eat here before I've only ever been for drinks. We had six plates between us and loved it all, my fave was the duck hoisin hash brown bites. Daquiri to die for. My only gripe and it is only a small gripe is the fact we weren't eligible for the two cocktails for whatever deal as we had a different one each which had I know I'd have tried the one my husband had. We have booked to come back in a couple of weeks x

We visited for dinner and believe me this sets the bar for tapas,the menu is well thought out,inventive dishes and balanced flavours ,along with knowledgeable service you need to book ,everything about this place screams top notch ,will be going back very soon .

What a beautiful wee gem in the centre of Wrexham. Such a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were amazing and accommodating. We waited about 30 minutes for a table but they were more than happy for us to stand at bar and have a drink, they even grabbed a chair for my Dad. The food was delicious, the sausages were odd but so tasty wish I could taken more home. Oh and the MaiTai was divine and the perfect accompaniment

As always, fabulous food, great atmosphere and excellent service. So many dishes to choose from we took a while to decide. Apart from how wonderful each dish is presented, it was all bursting with flavour and the quality of food is outstanding. The cocktails are excellent value too. I came here last year and forgot to review. Great tapas amazing staff menu but they attempted to send every dish at once. Tapas should be as and when comes, once we asked for this they accommodated and it was great.

Food was very late, over an hour, even after pre-ordering, mine an friends last dish came out as everyone was finishing, very over cooked, really tough to cut into, so didn't eat or pay for. Enjoyed the night, but it was more the people and occasion. Nobody was impressed by the food, very average bordering on poor for the price. Could of been an off night, but won't be going back anytime soon, sorry.

Had a fantastic tapas meal. The dishes were amazing...really interesting ingredients, all very vibrant with great flavour combinations. Everything tasted wonderful. Staff were lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend for something a little different.

Great service. Tapas was fabulous 3 For £16 although we ordered 6 there was only 2 of us so we couldn’t finish it because there was a lot. The belly pork was delicious highly recommend ordering that. Will definitely be back

We went for the Mother’s Day pop up Sunday lunch.. The beef was amazing and a full selection of veg! Service was attentive and friendly. Shame they don’t do it every Sunday but when they do so it, it’s well worth the visit.

Bit of a let down. Food was good, but the attitude of the staff was not great. The waitress that served our table, didnt crack a smile once - we appeared to be an inconvenience for her. She was also at our table every 10 minutes asking whether we wanted drinks, but didn't bother to ask whether our food was okay. They actually overcharged us too - the manager went away to loop at the CCTV came back and confirmed the overcharge. He was not particularly apologetic, which was also a disappointment. It's a shame because the place is really well put together, and the food is very good. Unfortunately, due to the unsatisfactory service we received, we won't be going back.

I found myself waiting in Wrexham, and popped in for Lunch. Found the atmosphere very relaxed with appealing decor. The tapas style plates were delicious with friendly and attentive staff. The former bank still has a vault downstairs too Highly recommended.

Never eaten here before and popped in on spec for a light lunch. Menu enticed us to change our minds and split some plates of tapas. Great decision ! Both enjoyed every plate.

Lovely food, a tapas style, so you have a few plates per person. The staff are very nice and check on you through your meal and drinks, very accommodating. The only slight issue was the music was quite loud for us to talk. Our table was at 7:45 on a Friday night so we appreciate that, and the music was an amazing selection, but I think it could have been a bit quieter to really make the ambience perfect.

Absolutely delicious food and great service at this fab restaurant. We were celebrating a friends birthday and shared a selection of the small plates. Particular favourites were the mini sausages and the camembert. Will definitely be returning, very soon I hope!!

Food just "ok"...and quite pricey for what we got. They call it tapas style, but all it means is very tiny portions..... Toilet could have been better.... Not dirty but needs improvement.

This was a work weekend where we needed somewhere to eat at night in Wrexham. TA recommended this place online. We had a lovely evening here. Good choice of cocktails and beers. Great tapas. I especially enjoyed the falafels and camembert with dipping warm bread. The tail on prawns were also delish. Service very good if anything a little too attentive particularly around the supply of our drinks. All in all a superb dining experience.

One of Wrexham's many bars situated on the main High street that serves food in daytime . Excellent choice of beers there . Great atmosphere there. It used to be TSB bank and still has a strong room downstairs.

Just really good tasty, fresh food, awesome atmosphere, great service! Beautiful place! We've enjoyed it so much and the owner made a dinner possible although we never had a reservation. Even our little one (15 months) was very welcome, they have a good baby highchair and changing room! Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Very pleasant experience, excellent service and food

I have nothing but positive comments about The Bank…the food is always absolutely amazing as is the atmosphere and service. The menu changes regularly which I think is really good as after a while, we all get fed up of “The same old”….It’s nice to see different dishes that we can try! Also, the produce is all brought in locally and the mayonnaise is the best by far…. 😊 This was my Dad’s favourite place to have a pint or three of ‘Goose Island’ every Saturday afternoon….I can’t wait to get back there with my Mum and raise a glass to my amazing Dad 💙

The Bank is simply one of the very best eateries in Wrexham. Imaginative dishes, freshly prepared using some of the finest ingredients. It’s a genuine joy to visit and Alex and his team do an outstanding job of making sure everyone is made thoroughly welcome.

OMG ,how have we both never been here before,food fresh ,exiting ,different and well thought out ,atmosphere was just what I wanted ,busy ,chilled and music in background,this place is what everyone needs now and again to recharge the batteries and have a dam good...

We were welcomed and I was on crutches staff could not do enough for us. They went above and beyond to find a table to Accommodate myself on crutches. Original table was booked upstairs. Food was lush. Gorgeous small plates that were amazing. Nice wine....
