Deserving of its number 1 rating. The most covid secure place we have visited. Temperature check on arrival, hand sanitiser on table and wipes. 1 in 1 out of toilet. Disposable menus. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. The food is all very well cooked and presented from an extensive menu. Keep up the good work.

From entering the building to leaving, the staff and service were superb and the food matched in quality and flavour. Every effort was made to keep both staff and customers safe, including temperature checks and sanitiser on each table. Both the food and drink menus had plenty of choice. My wife chose meatballs to start with, followed by chicken shish with paprika fries and oven roasted vegetables. I had calamari to start with, followed by salmon fillet with sweet potato fries and oven roasted vegetables. We had a side of halloumi fries. I am not normally a fan of halloumi, as it is often like eating rubber but I have to say that these were delicious and very filling. We had a lovely bottle of Spanish white, which made an excellent accompaniment. The whole meal was superb and as previously stated, the service matched from start to finish. I also had an excellent view of the light show on the tower.

Yorkshire Fisheries

20/09/2020: A friend recommended this place, and we were impressed with the quality of the fish - totally ungreasy, with tasty batter. I wasn’t quite so struck on the chips but thought it was decent value at under a tenner for the whole meal, including a slice of bread and butter and a large cup of tea. It’s a traditional fish and chips place, but very efficiently run and they know exactly what they’re doing. Very much worth a visit while you’re at the seaside.
27/08/2020: Yorkshire Fisheries are our fave chippy and we periodically make the trip to Blackpool just to dine there. Welcome is always friendly and service efficient. We revisited as part of the Eat Out scheme & covid measures were clearly explained at the door and staff were wearing PPE. Putting aside my personal views on temp testing, they were the first place we went to since customer logs were required for T&T to collect these individually rather than using an open log book. There is also now a separate exit from the building. We over ordered as usual - tried the haddock, cod & plaice with chips & also the salmon fish cake. As always, everything was cooked fresh and delicious The whole toilet system is a bit confusing as the green light means it can be used & we were informed it's one in, one out, but though we went when the green light was on, there were already other patrons upstairs. Yorkshire Fisheries is a gem! The best fish and chips we have had in the UK, and the best service. Make sure you check it out!

The Eating Inn

23/09/2020: I love Blackpool but it’s fair to say it’s not renowned for fine dining. After a few days of takeaways and heavy food this was a welcome relief. Came recommended by the man who runs the Lytham street car park (which is a bargain for all day parking FYI). Did not disappoint. I had the cannelloni and my husband had the gammon. Our son had sausages. Home cooked and delicious. We squeezed in some sides and dessert. Try the foot long eclair! Absolute bargain also. Service fantastic.
15/09/2020: I'm a local. I love eating out in my home town, especially during these challenging times, supporting local businesses. I've have been waiting for a sunny day to try this I wanted to sit there and enjoy a beautiful sunset over a fabulous dinner with my husband served by friendly and efficient staff. And that's exactly what i got. Booking recommended as it can and does get really busy. From the outside it looks very welcoming. Its well put together. Inviting. Outdoor area has parasols for shade. And beautiful lights overhead that shine day and night. Not in your face, the restaurant lighting is perfect too. Not too bright.STAFFSpecial mention as they were so busy but kept smiling all the way. Service wasn't compromised either. FOODGood selection on the menu. Something for everyone. I had a 6oz fillet steak (cooked to perfection). Trimmings of salad, mushrooms and I picked an amazing peppercorn sauce. Delicious. Hubby had burger, fries and the most incredible onion rings! Half a carafe of red wine which was bob on! Sometimes house wine can be cheap and nasty. This wasn't. We watched the sunset from our table as was our plan. Perfect spot for it. PRICESGreat value, end of!Coming back soon (apparently the chicken kiev is out of this world).Highly recommended (check out all the great reviews).
