The Balti Raj in Hinckley and Bosworth

Fantastic! Was busy, but we got served quick. Food was amazing as always. Attentive service - well done guys

I came here with a group of ladies (mummy friends) for a curry and a catch up. I haven’t been here for years and had a lovely meal. Quick service and hot food, it was delicious. They also worked it all out seperately for us to pay the bill. Would definately recommend and will return.

We have been coming to the Balti Raj for many years now. It has become a firm family favourite as a weekend treat. We absolutely love the food and the service is second to none. W are always made to feel special and welcomed like we were like family. If you haven't been then I sat get yourself down there. The food is well priced and us great value, they even run a week day special offer which is even better value. Keep up the good work guys 👍

The food was good as usual. However is was cold in the restaurant. I had to keep my coat on all night. As did the other diners. There was a problem splitting the bill for our party and after checking the total bill we appeared to have been overcharged by £60 We won’t be returning.

The Restaurant started off well as they managed to fit us all in for a Christmas meal however the first issue was that the restaurant was cold. Many of us wrapped ourselves in coats. We order food and said we would be paying separately. we then waited a while for our food. The Food was beautiful and very warm thankfully, as we had all got colder while waiting. We then went over to pay and discovered the restaurant wanted us to split it and that the bill was incorrect, Meal stated as £9.95 where down as £11.35. and drinks details where not written at all. The Restaurant gave us the bill and told us to work it out. We went through and added everything and we were over the bill and confirmed with restaurant after a few attempts and finally pay for or meals.

Been coming here for years and have sampled all the Indian Restaurants and the 'higher end' restaurants in Hinckley. We have simply never had a meal that was anything other than lovely. The service is faultless and the so-called posher restaurants could certainly learn a thing or two! Nothing but consistently excellent

Minimum delivery has risen 50% from £10 to £15. My wife does not eat Indian food so it's only me & I can't get to £15. 10 years of using this place now gone elsewhere. Strange I didn't think the cost of running a car had gone up 50%!

Really high standard indian restaurant! Me and my partner both really enjoyed our food. I had a Chicken Tikka Pathia and they got the spice level spot on! The only let down side was the garlic and cheese naan was not for me.

The best place in Hinckley and the best takeaway we have had during lockdown, 5 star!! we are regulars to the restaurant in ‘normal’ times and were sad they closed for a few weeks when lockdown started. So we were delighted when Salman decided to reopen for takeaway,our meal did not disappoint it was fab!! and highly recommend to everyone.Can’t wait to come back for a restaurant meal but for now it’s takeaway all the way!!

Me and 3 friends visited on Saturday night. Not our first visit & definately not the last!! Great service, fabulous food & lovely atmosphere. Solomon was kind enough to allow us to pay separately too - nothing's too much trouble. Although for some reason we didn't get an After Eight Mint Chocolate

We've tried a fair few Indian restaurants in the area to see if anyone can beat it but honestly.... not one of them can.The food is absolutely amazing.... we keep coming back... stop searching everyone... you'll be able to tick all your boxes under one roof at Balti Raj Indian Restaurant. If it's not on the menu just ask and they will cook up a storm for you.

Have been coming here for many years even before moving to Hinckley from Essex, bring friends and family from all over the country when they visit too. Always a friendly welcome and nothing is to much trouble to get us in. Our visitors always want to eat here again. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, atmosphere excellent. We have booked for Christmas Day this year and can’t wait..

We have been visiting Balti Raj for many years as a couple and as a family of 4 and in my opinion there is just nowhere better.

We visit Balti Raj frequently as a couple and at least once a month as a family , this consists of adults and children and would definitely say the restaurant is family friendly , they make the kids feel welcome every time and this in turn makes the experience even more enjoyable for the adults.

I have been a regular customer of the Balti Raj for many years, and this is down to the high quality of service and the delicious food! Due to these reasons I decided to take the sixth formers of a local high school for a farewell meal to celebrate their successes and wish them all the best in the future. The Balti Raj accommodated 34 students and 5 staff, and with so many people to feed I was so impressed by the fast and efficient service we received, thank you so much! The food is always of the highest quality. The staff are always so welcoming and due to this they will most certainly be getting my custom again. I will definitely be arranging another event in the future! Thanks again Balti Raj!

Myself and my partner regularly visit the Balti Raj. The food is always of amazing quality and the service is friendly and attentive. I explained the waiter the I was doing slimming world for my wedding and it turns out they create meals that are slimming world friendly! He was great at giving me tips on the best things for me to order... so I can slim for the wedding whilst still having our favourite food!

Amazing food, amazing service, amazingly affordable prices. Amazing Bangladesh restaurant. Amazing home cooked food. Amazing breads, best I've ever had. Amazing team, amazing welcome. Would highly reccomend.

The balti Raj is a fantastic small Indian restaurant that has excellent staff who treat you like a friend even on your first visit. I could not recommend a better Indian restaurant in Hinckley it is a jewel in a lovely town.

Food is excellent value, amazingly tasty with generous portions. Takeaways are very good as well. Staff are really friendly always welcoming and you are treated well at all times. The atmosphere is relaxed and I would highly recommend this restaurant. We have visited all the Indian restaurants in Hinckley over the years and this is by far the best. If you are unsure what to order, explain your spice preference and the staff will always offer recommendations if you are stuck which is really nice.

Very busy at 6pm. Didn't mind. Managed to be sat straight away, 5 minutes to wait to be asked about drinks. Then another 30 to order food despite staff standing around. Food was so, so. Not the best, not the worst. Waiter absolutely stunk of B.O., which pretty much put us off our food. Highly unlikely to return.

Went to the restaurant on the back of the reviews via TripAdvisor and was disappointed on many aspects. Two put of the four chutneys weren't rich with flavour. I ordered a pint of Cobra lager which in my opinion was watered down. I'm not a over fussy person but the disappointments were building up. I ordered the meat samosas as a starter which again when they came were small and not very tasty.

I recently visited again .This is in my opinion "The Best in Hinckley " And Yes I have tried them all ! As a Restaurant that does Not use Ghe in its cooking ,which is great news for those that do not want to expand their waistline ! I opted for an old favourite " Syheti gosht " And unlike other restaurants it arrived Not swimming in oil .The Taste was great as was everything else that I ordered . In cas your interested I will add that the Staff are Great too. nuff said .

Visited again for an excellent meal. Staff could not do enough for us, explaining what is in each meal and how spicy. Ideal for people on diets or slimming world as each meal is made to order and preferences. We will definitely be returning.

We were recommended to this restaurant by friends recently and we were not disappointed. The staff are all friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. The chef certainly understands his flavours! We have now visited twice and the food was excellent on both occasions. My only complaint is that I didn't discover this restaurant years ago. The menu offers an extensive range of delicious sounding meals, and we plan to work our way through it, so will be returning for another meal very soon.

My partner and I visited the restaurant on Friday eve and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we stepped foot in the door we were welcomed with attentive and friendly staff.

We've been using the restaurant fro years, and while the food and service have always been good, the new blood has brought something more - difficult to define - the place hasn't changed much physically, but the lads have brought things more up to date and clearly have ambition to further improve without losing quality.

Absolutely love the Balti Raj. This is my favourite Indian for both sitting in and take always. Have been visiting here for over 10 years and the food is superb, the price is more than reasonable and the staff could not do enough for you. I have tried other restaurants in the area but none come close to the Raj.

My girlfriend and I just so happened to stumble across The Balti Raj on google maps, when searching for local eateries in the area in which we were staying over Easter. Price-wise, The Balti Raj competes with the average prices found in Indian restaurants. Taste-wise, The Balti Raj dominates! We both couldn't believe how delicious our dishes were! Being a wuss when it comes to spice, I had a Korma (or Kurma as they call it) with special Pilau rice and a Keema Naan and my girlfriend had a Prawn Balti with special pilau rice and a garlic naan. As I said, they were outstanding! We went to collect our food, as doing so offered a 10% saving and we were only around the corner! The staff were so very friendly and were very nice to talk to, as we waited for our food. The restaurant looked stunning, it was actually a shame we didn't sit in (although I've been told it's common practice for you to get less food if you eat in?).Overall, I would definitely go back to The Balti Raj, it's actually a shame that I don't live locally; otherwise I would be there all the time!

We recently visited the Balti Raj for our regular family meal, as usual it was beautiful.We have been visiting this restaurant for many years now, first as a couple and now with our children.You would be hard pushed to find any other Indian that is able to match its food with its service; we love going and will continue to do so.I'm struggling to understand the poor review about not receiving popadoms; if I hadn't ordered something in the first place I certainly wouldn't expect to receive it for free. Anyway thank you Balti Raj for another amazing evening

Been going Balti raj for some time now and I can not fault the food the service is excellent. Going on the comment left by the last customer about not getting free popadoms when he order take away no were does it state on the menu this so why give a bad review when no other restaurant in Hinckley gives away free popadoms. So keep up the excellent service
