Baker Street Kitchen in Middlesbrough

Everything was lovely apart from a few small bones in the sausages.

I’ve been to Baker Street Kitchen plenty of times now, and every time I get the most lovely food and service. The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, and there’s lots of vegan options too (vegan pancakes!!) Perfect spot to meet with friends.

Had a lovely brunch here today!! Really good value for money. Also, I just wanted to say how accommodating the staff were with my baby and just wanted to say thank you to the lady with the red hair for putting me so at ease when my baby was getting a bit fed up in the highchair as it’s not often you get that when you go to cafes/restaurants. He also loves the dancing caterpillar hahah!

A gem of a place. I don’t often venture south of the river but my partner had an appointment and I came along for the ride. We stumbled across this place and were both happily surprised. We visited Thursday lunchtime at 3ish and though the place wasn’t busy there were a few tables occupied. I can imagine this place being popular during peak kick time hours. Service was friendly and welcoming. My partner had the parmo supreme burger and wow it looked and I was informed tasted amazing. Moist tender chicken and very generous portion. I had a tuna and cheese jacket potato and we finally found somewhere that doesn’t skip on the toppings. You could taste the tuna it wasn’t drowning in mayo and the potato was cooked to perfection. With 2 cups of tea the bill came to £25 such good value for money. If we’re down that way again we’ll definitely be back. Watching other dishes being served I got menu envy.

I had smashed avocado, crispy bacon, poached eggs on toasted bloomer, everything was cooked to perfection and the avocado was amazing. My sister had the full English and said it's the best breakfast she has every had. The staff are friendly and very inviting. I would highly recommend Baker Street Kitchen

I've been here a few times it's the perfect place for brunch items. I'm vegetarian and lactose intolerant so ask for the vegan menu which have a lot of the same options from the main menu on. I always find the staff super friendly and helpful if I ask anything to be swapped, they did run out of any of the parmos for my partner when we went last however it was close to closing time. At times it can be a little loud during the rush at midday so if you're someone like myself who struggles in loud environments it may be best to wait until the lunch time rush has gone.

Came here on the 11th December 2023 at around 8.40am. Absolutely terrible service from the start.We put our order in and the guy repeated it back to us and all was OK. Came to been served to only recieve one out of three breakfast and no drinks at all. Sat waiting for a short time assuming the rest was comming and went back up to be told they missed half the stuff off the order as they didn't realised (still was charged though). Asked for a refund as we weren't going to sit around waiting for anuther two to ve made for the one we had to go cold to be only given a half refund, like really. Eventually sorted it but a very bad experience definitely won't be returning, the guy serving definitely wasn't all there seemed like he was on something, then as we were packing up to go were were just getting dirty looks whilst they were talking amongst themselves. AVOID. had the staff deskt with this better amd showed positive communication skills me may well have stayed through the mess up.

Would be nice if you had London Pride Beer is all I have to say.

I am a regular customer, food lovely but today the girl overcharged me by £7.50 by adding an item I hadn't ordered. Instead of voiding the sale altogether and starting again she charged me £25 and did a refund for £7.50. When I asked about it, there was no apology from her, in fact she was quite blasé about the fact that while £25 is taken immediately out of my account, I will have to wait for the bank to reimburse me with the £7.50 because of the girls incompetence! Surely the sale should have been void and done again correctly!!!

Really lovely staff. Surprised how good the food was, given how quick it was to come out! Loved the choices of music too.

Lovely place for breakfast, very affordable and tasty! Went with a group of 5 and we all ordered very different meals and thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommended :).

Everytime...just perfect... Can't beat the fantabulous coffees, Hot chocolates and tea varieties. Food today was Mushroom and Egg brioche and Sausage and Bacon Brioche. 5⭐️

Really nice breakfast, fast service and good coffee. Nice atmosphere with a variety of seating from cosy booths, tables and bar stools.

This is my local restaurant and I've came here a few times for breakfast which has always been 50/50 in quality. Their salads and breakfast is good. They do their burgers well. Their panini's and melts have not been to appetising but the worst is the chicken. The chicken is dry with little to no seasoning which was disappointing once when I decided to get a chicken burger. The customer service is very good and I like the vibe of it. Improvements need to be made in some parts of the menu but overall it's a nice establishment.

Roasted vegetables and houmous ciabatta

BSK hosted my mother’s 70th birthday party recently and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Everything was amazing from the facilities, the room set-up and the tasty food. The staff were also fantastic. They could not do enough for us and made us very welcome. They even went above and beyond making the menu and drinks Italian themed as a surprise when they found out our family heritage. I recommend this place for either a casual lunch or a private celebration. They have never disappointed.

I can’t recommend enough - both my dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the staff were so lovely. We were greeted as we came in, and just overall it felt like a great environment. The smoothie was amazing too, and my vegetarian breakfast was delicious. Thanks guys, I’ll be back soon!

Popped in with my daughter today…. Choose the full English breakfast, presentation was lovely, however the bacon was rock hard, left in the hot plate under light for too long maybe? Nice atmosphere and friendly staff

Lovely place near Teesside university . Staff were very friendly and food quite good . Couldn’t fault it. Very reasonable prices too. Would defo recommended . Very clean areas and toilets .

Every time we’ve been here the food is amazing, bus mistakes happen at all restaurants and BSK is no different. When we got our food today, there was an issue with one of the meals (nothing major at all) and we took it back to the counter. The staff were absolutely amazing with us and couldn’t be more apologetic. They took care of us and instead of the food standing out to us this time, it was the exceptional customer service we received. Thanks so much for making a fuss of us and leaving us with arguably our best experience here, we will definitely be coming back very soon!

5 superb atmosphere and service great toasties

This was a great experience. Lovely staff, fantastic service, and delicious food and drink. I had a ham and cheese toastie and one of the speciality mochas to sit in and had an Oreo brownie to go, which was absolutely outstanding - I’d have happily eaten a second one!

We really enjoyed our lunch here! Toasties were all great & the cakes were yummy. It was very friendly and as an LGBT family, we felt very welcomed :)

Lovely Mother’s Day meal. Everything cooked to perfection and as we asked for. Nothing was too much trouble and service was served with a smile. Only issue was the tables were too cramped together with people sitting directly behind us so we couldn’t pull our chairs out to sit down.

I ordered smashed avocado and eggs on toast. Bread was thin sliced white Hovis and the avocado tasted supermarket bought - not what you’d expect for £7. Really quite disappointing.

Fantastic coffee shop and restaurant in Middlesbrough. They have a great menu and the food is top quality. I popped in for full English breakfast and a cappuccino. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. They have indoor and outside seating.

Went out on a weekend morning for breakfast, first visit and I was very pleased with the fast table service. I had planned to get the Chicken Waffles but unfortunately they were not in stock that day, but it was happily substituted with pancakes instead. The meal was delicious and I'll definitely be making a return in the future.

The food is pretty good. Quite expensive though and the portion sizes steer towards the cheaper ingredients (IE fried tomatoes, mushrooms) than others (hash browns, sausages, black pudding).

Over the past 12 week's I've visited here most Tuesday mornings. It is a little gem. I often have breakfast which comes out well presented, hot and is very tasty. The service is good and the staff very hard working. Nothing is a problem - just ask for what you want and if it can be accommodated the staff will try their best to help.

Popped in for a quick coffee whilst my other half was at dentists. Nice flat white and a warm cheese scone. Quick service and reasonably priced.

This is one of my favourite spots for a mate date and catch up its stylish modern and very welcoming, the food great and they have a nice variety of options on the menu, the staff are friendly and nothing is to much for them, got to mention the young lass who is always on the till her personality shines she is very cheerful and set the pace for the restaurant, if she isn’t a manger she deserves to be

Thursday was the first time I have been in and I have to say I am very rarely wowed by service but all the staff were super friendly. In particular there was a blonde lady/person with tattoos on their arm at the till who has the friendliest demeanour of anyone I have come across and was an absolute credit to the company. The food was excellent and despite being mega busy everything was served hot, timely and prepared perfectly. Would absolutely recommend.

Slight wait outside whilst tables where being cleared , this tells me it’s good ! Had Eggs Benedict , got to say it was the nicest I’ve ever had . Firm white , runny golden yolk , crisp bacon with toasted muffins , the hollandaise sauce was lovely . With a simple nice pot of tea . Place was clean , pleasant with great service . Long queues of people outside waiting to eat ! I shall return . It’s one of these places once visited you will return , nowhere better in Middlesbrough

The pancakes were absolutely disgusting, they were really salty and when I notified the staff they made the excuse that it's because they were made with soya milk which makes no sense. It appears that they accidentally used salt instead of sugar and tried to cover it up then didn't even offer a different dish. Waste of money and would not recommend eating here since the service was terrible.

Had breakfast in here, and my workplace had a staff do before the first lockdown. Both visits were excellent. Staff are great, especially with kids, and the food was just delicious. Waiting times are absolutely fine and I couldn't find a y faults with it. Just go!

Very good breakfast, had the eggs and bacon with some white bread toast. The only thing I was not totally happy about was the orange juice; not very big and a bit pale and 'watery'.

Having travelled and had a terrible experience at the Baltimore Hotel we came for Breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was beautiful couldn't fault a thing covid safe environment breakfast made to perfection. Wonderful friendly welcoming staff A must try!!!!!

...the service used to be much better, nicer and friendlier. We usually go in on a Sunday and the customer service from sooner off the staff can only be described as perfunctory. Passably polite but no warmth or even niceness I'm afraid. The experience came across as functional and cold.

My partner and I came here over lunch for food and drinks with my two dogs. The food was great (eggs benedict - slightly too much hollandaise sauce but delicious), HLT sandwich (good for veggies), hot chocolate and a mocha. The staff member said hi to our dogs, brought water and even a sausage for them to share. Flawless service.

Was visiting the area from London and decided to have some food there. The quality was terrible, the bacon was like cardboard and they forgot to serve our orders TWICE and we had to remind them only to have to wait again another 20 mins for it to be prepared because it wasn't prepared in the first place. Will definitely not visit again.

Honestly, so disappointed.. spent £30 on two very Mediocre meals that would have been done better by weatherspoons, and the bairns £2.50 sandwich came out and it was half a sandwich 🤣 howay I know lockdowns been hard but u can't be robbing people blind

Simply the best. This is my favourite place in Middlesbrough. The food is delicious. Oh and the desserts are lush. Superb atmosphere. Friendly staff. Nothing is too much for them. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely disgusting. Paid £22 for this. Asked for extra mash and instead recieved a tea spoon amount. Ordered chicken breast and recieved a scabby, undercooked slimy leg. Roast potatoes rock solid and tasted of fried fat. Basically paid £22 for some peas. Won't issue a refund either as they have lost a lot of customers lately due to ethical reasons, and clearly need to keep my money.

Just been to Baker Street Kitchen for lunch with my daughters. A Chicken Parmesan, chicken and chorizo melt and jacket potato with tuna and cheese with a selection of coffees were all really tasty and served by friendly staff in a dining room that has been made Covid compliant by distancing and barriers. Well worth a visit at around £30 for the lot.

Absolutely disgusting company that likes to entice young students for fake jobs to come and work for free as part of 'a trial shift'. With no pay. Even making them buy a uniform when their regular staff wear jeans. Completely illegal so I dread to think what their food handling standards are.

I visited with my brother for lunch last week on our first trip out together since lockdown. I was apprehensive about going out but all I can say is thank you to Baker Street Kitchen for providing an experience where I felt complete safe and reassured. To top it off the food was delicious and well priced

I'm a smoggy, but we live in the South.In the summer of 2019, during a long weekend visiting Whitby, etc., I decided to introduce them to their hertiage and have a parmo.I found the Baker Street Kitchen in an online parmo review and confirmed the feedback on TripAdvisor.With a chihuahua in the party, being dog friendly was a big part of the choice.Having to queue for a table was nothing but a sign that we were in the right place. Everything about the visit was perfect. The service was pleasant and attentive and the food was outstanding. We went for the classic parmo and it was a big hit with the whole family.Will definitely be back.

Tried a different venue for breakfast than Bedford st Cafe , big mistake .Ordered a full english and a smoked salmon with poached eggs on a muffin with hollandaise sauce.Breakfast over cooked and not a pretty sight not cooked fresh what so ever , the other order tastless. Coffee was the only good part of the breakfast lovely . Just did not do it for us, must try harder.

Visited this weekend with my family and have to say I loved it, from the second we arrived it was clear how organised they were and before we knew it out table was allocated after being fully sanitsed.The good was beautiful and staff extremely well mannered. Will definitely be back.

Yesterday morning we headed to @bakerstreetkitchen to try their breakfast. When we arrived we were advised to place our order on their website, which is something we liked as we were able to order at our own pace.We ordered two breakfasts which were £7 each, the breakfasts only come with 1 sausage but you can add extra using their website which we did, you are able to swap items (excluding sausage or bacon) so we swapped the tomato and mushroom for an extra hash brown which were so soft and delicious! The breakfast was of high quality and we are struggling to think of somewhere we’ve had a breakfast that can match both the quality and flavour! We will definitely be going back here for breakfast! It was outstanding!

Visited Baker Street Kitchen for breakfast and was not disappointed. It isnt cheap at £7 for a full breakfast and the portion sizes are not huge (you only get one of everything) but it was definitely enough for me and the quality is good - the homemade mini hash brown was a particular treat!

An unplanned brunch with my husband and was extremely impressed with the organisation of this restaurant.Felt very safe with the covid secure guidance being followed. Even ordered via their website in order to avoid contact with staff. Very quick and efficient service and will definitely return.Well done everyone at Baker Street Kitchen

Food lovely and the restaurant was itself is nice. However service is terrible. Food was late and asked for sugar multiple times still wasn’t given. Change for £10 wasn’t given had to go Back to get change still no apology.
