The Alexander Arms in Limavady

My wife and I had our lunch here last Friday, (19 June). Welcomed by very pleasant helpful engaging staff. Very comfortable relaxing atmosphere Our food was delicious especially the seafood chowder. Would be more than happy to return.

Received one of your afternoon tea boxes yesterday as a gift. It was delicious and very well presented. Great selection of food. Highly recommended.

I think it’s a bit dearer, too dear for a quite ordinary pint in a run down establishment by surly unsmiling staff....no return visit planned

It is basic but to be fair I've been in basic places before an it was double the price. No toilet or shower in the room but there literary right outside the door. There is a bar downstairs which is very handy. The breakfast is really nice. The staff were lovely an very friendly an the location is very central. I will be definitely back again next year.

Sunday evening family meal. Very disappointing! Poor quality bland food served on chipped plates. Could have cooked a much better dinner at home. No atmosphere in the restaurant. Reminded me of school dinners in the 1980's.

We had a beautiful meal with my niece & her husband & the service was very good & definitely got value for our money. Would recommend you to give it a try!!

The dining area was spacious and the seats were very comfortable. Very extensive menu, plus six choices of specials. I had breakfast here twice, and it was very good. You could eat a little box of cereal and have a big fry as well. The exact contents of the fry was different each day, and it was very enjoyable. The front lounge with a bar was very comfortable, with a fire going.

A group of us had lunch in the Alexander Arms during a recent visit to Limavady. The waitress was friendly after waiting a few minutes in the bar we moved to the dining room. The menu was varied and we picked from the specials. After a short wait we were served with three excellent meals and one a bit below standard. The turkey and ham was very good, served with very tasty cranberry sauce. The cottage pie was also very tasty with very good sized portions. The burger was a bit disappointing although the chips were good. The burger just lacked taste. There is no effort to connect the food to it source, but given the price of under £30 for four lunches it offered excellent value for money.The Alexander Arms has an old fashioned feel to it which is fine but it could do with a bit of a make over especially the dining room which could do with a fresh coat of paint. But overall a very good eating experience offering value for money and reasonably good quality food.

Called in for lunch as a family member had an appointment at the local hospital. Ordered chicken pie and chips,curry rice and chips, chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and a babies mash and gravy. All were tasty and hot. Fresh chips and freshly made pie and curry. Clean plates all round. Staff couldnt do enough to help. A main meal is £6.50 fantastic value. 3 mains a dessert, 2 coffees, a coke, a jug of orange and a baby dinner all for £29.50. Handy parking right outside and the bathrooms are clean and even offer face wipes and deodorant. Its not fancy but it is clean. Will be back soon.

We went for sunday lunch and as usual the food was delicious. Staff friendly and attentive. would reccommend

Had a family wedding anniversary celebration here. We had the upstairs to ourselves with our own wee bar and Barman (think his name was James). Had a lovely meal, 3 course's and 3 option's, and very reasonably priced. Had a great night, the girls organising and serving were more than nice. Kid's were able to play about, (sometime's noisely) without any hassle. Drink;s were very reasonably priced. Was my first time in the Alexander Arm's and I was pleasantly surprised. A very down to earth old world pub/inn.

Needs updating old. Smells off damp dark dendgy won't be back. Offers accommodation but wouldn't want to be staying

I've eaten here often. The food is good quality tasty home cooking at a very reasonable price. The staff are experienced friendly and helpful. The live music on a Sunday and Thursday is live, real and the atmosphere is brilliant.

Whatever u do .. do not have a mixed grill. This is not going to b a mxd g. 2 bacon 1 pork chop 2 fingers of chicken 2 slices of black pudding 2 cheap sausages an 2 eggs. Hardly a mixed grill an overcooked. £16 flipping joke. Have had better fry's

Una estancia de la zona principal que siempre ha conservado limavady su carácter y calidad. El primer hotel que he nos dieron de comer en 6 años y han permanecido un encantador lugar para comer.

Acabada de los brazos de Alexander, por segunda vez en dos años y una cálida bienvenida por el personal. Las habitaciones y los baños estaban limpios, cómodos y parecía recién renovado. (Nota para Donald: la ducha mientras perfectamente funcional era alarmantemente ruidoso!)

Yo disfruté de un almuerzo ayer, 17 de 16 feb. Esto era simplemente otra visita que hacer cuando en Limavady.

Fantastic meal - brilliant service, reasonable price. Quite surprised, been a few years since we have eaten here, glad to give it a try!!
