Thairiffic in Glasgow City

Was here solo on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was located on the first floor and patrons needed to go up one flight of stairs. It was half full and well decorated. Tried their vegetarian pad thai. Didn't take long to arrive. Nuts and a slice of lime on the side. Was nice. Some of the vegetarian starters looked interesting, however the price just didn’t seem right. I might try some when I have company to share. I also had their take of a Thai milk tea, it was silky smooth indeed but I did feel there was too much ice and not enough of the actual drink. Service was relatively efficient and friendly.

Went with high hopes after reading so many positive reviews but found it disappointing. We are big fans of proper Thai food aka the likes of David Thompson. This restaurant seemed to boast fine cooking but sadly no. The green chicken curry seemed good, but left us with two days of indigestion, the tamarind seabass was served not with tamarind, but the contents, squeezed out of a sweet chilli sauce bottle. The chicken satay was tough and obviously had not been properly prepared in a marinade, the only redeeming thing was the sticky rice, which was as it should be, sticky,

Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The portions were ample, the food was flavourful, delicious and very reasonably priced.

I love this restaurant, lovely atmosphere and amazing food, food takes a little while to be prepared but trust me it's worth it. The pad Thai is a classic and it didnt disappoint, but the lamb shank curry was out of this world. It is on the expensive side but it is truly worth it. Definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't already.

We had a lovely meal, using the 3.small plates plus rice offer. Three plates sounds a lot and it is very filling but not too much. There's a good range of options on the small plates menu, which was better for trying a range of dishes. I had the chicken satay, pad Thai loaded fries and the sweet basil chicken. Loved every bite!

Fantastic place, everything about it was top notch. A must go to for anyone, even if you want non Thai food. Would return in a flash😁

Walked past this restaurant many times and never gave it a thought as the entrance is quite uninspiring. We decided to try it on my birthdays and it was amazing. It's on the first floor of the building and the decor is kind of minimalist but very nice. Having been to Thailand ourselves we thought it was very authentically Thai. It was very clean and toilets were immaculate. The food was amazing, as good as we have had anywhere outside of Thailand. Our server was a lovely girl from Bangkok, which added to the authenticity. Will definitely return.

Thairiffic is indeed terrifically brilliant!!! From lovely atmosphere to friendly and helpful staff and most importantly amazing food that literally brought me back home. We booked for dinner for a wee reunion of University friends and we had such a great time enjoying the meal and conversation. I'll definitely visit and bring more people there again 🙏

We decided to go based TA reviews. It was so good!!! Super service from start to finish and its clean and smart. Now for the real deal. I came across this restaurant by coincidence a month ago and have been there 4 times since then. The menu is big and diverse and the prices are reasonable. The food is always top notch, the pad thai is my favourite dish, full of flavours and the portions are quite big. The service is also excellent, the drinks and the food always arrive rather quickly, not to mention that the staff is very friendly. Will definitely be back again soon!

Beautiful restaurant with tasty food. We were seated and served promptly and the staff were excellent the entire night. I had the massaman curry and it was delicious and the portions were medium-sized.

Hey, I don't often review places twice, but Thairiffic thoroughly deserves all the plaudits. Delicious fresh food at a reasonable price, friendly, super-efficient service and a lovely wee venue. We were there the same day of the women's elite cycling race, so we ideally positioned to watch the amazing cyclists whizz around the corner and up the hill. My husband went for the thee small dishes option - a perfect amount for lunch, while I had two veggies starters, the crispy tofu and the vegetables in tempura batter, both served with chilli sauce. He loved the beef and the chicken curry, and is already talking about what he'll have for this three dishes the next time he eats there. For drinks, I went for the generously portioned G&T, and my husband had the Singha beer. Thairiffic is terrific, and I hope the owners and staff have a long and prosperous future in Glasgow.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal there this evening. It’s a small restaurant, which I prefer, great menu and reasonable prices. The shared starter platter was wonderful, perfectly cooked tempura veg, spring rolls, prawn toast, carrot salad, chicken satay and prawn crackers. Great starter, light and delicious. The mains, oh man, the lamb shank massaman curry was just delicious. A must try! The thariffic noodles were delicious.

Excellent lunch option. 3 not so small plates and choice of rice for £13.95. Glad we went for 2 starter style plates because the mains were big enough to satisfy and a decent portion of rice. Four different rice's to choose from, good variety of meat and veg dishes, bags of flavour and a nice amount of chilli heat. The service was excellent too, can definitely see us returning for an evening meal.

Absolutely adore this place! Haven't been in, but been ordering for a few weeks now via Uber, and the food is outstanding. Chicken satay is lovely, freshly made with good quality chicken (not the rubber stuff u get in other places lol) , peanut sauce is real nice too, only gripe is I'd rather have some onions and Peppers with it, rather than the lettuce, carrot, and cabbage it comes with. The Thai Cashew Chicken is so tasty, I get it with the sticky rice, which I love. Not many Thai places for delivery in the Glasgow area, so I'm over the moon to find this place. If it wasn't for the exceptionally high delivery charge of £4.50, I'd order even more than I do now. 10 min drive from town to Rutherglen, doesn't merit a £4.50 charge, especially when Uber also charge a service charge. For a starter and a main for one it's costing over £30 for delivery. I think you'd find you would maybe be a bit busier if you put that charge down, just a suggestion. But other than that this place is great, can't wait to pop in for a meal sometime too 😋

Don't be put off by the underwhelming entrance, the first floor restaurant is well set out and spacious, the staff friendly and efficient and the food superb and reasonably priced

Been here a few times and always had a lovely meal. Staff very kind and friendly. Food is very tasty and authentic. Never had a bad experience. They have a set lunch menu which is very reasonable priced. Great portion sizes. Would highly recommend if looking for Thai food. We will certainly return again and again. Don’t hesitate to try!

Lovely lunch on the 3 small plates for £14. Our plates were not small, big portions. Great value. We did really enjoy a few cocktails too.

Came in a big group for lunch and service was excellent. Despite there being so many of us, it was very efficient. Food was also great. Love their tapas style lunch menu - means you get to try multiple dishes and it’s all in very generous servings.

Fantastic. The best Thai food we have had in Glasgow. Excellent friendly service, lovely cocktails and a wonderful selection on the menu. Warm relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu soon.

This place is amazing! The food is wonderful and I often stop here for take-out on my way home. The people are beyond friendly. The service is fast and I think the prices are reasonable. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Visited after an evening at the theatre. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, reasonably priced and was served very quickly. The restaurant is clean and very pleasantly decorated. Would definitely return to try more of the menu

We were happy to find such a delicious Thai place in Glasgow. The lunch special was a reasonable price and excellent food. The loaded Hoisin Duck fries had a soft boiled egg and mayonnaise. The spring rolls were fried and came with a sweet and sour sauce. I missed fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. The menu was limited and everything was labeled spicy except the Pad Thai. There were vegan options. The food didn’t come very fast but had obviously been made fresh.

Exactly what you expect from a genuine Thai restaurant. Great tasting food presented and served by very polite staff. I can always tell a good Thai restaurant by how tasty their basic dish of Pad Thai is. We had 2 different Pad Thais and both were perfect. All the staff were very attentive, thoughtful, friendly and helpful unlike some other types of restaurants. There is a view of probably the most famous street in Glasgow but unfortunately the buiding opposite, the old 02 Cinema complex is shut down and in terrible condition, plus there are 20-25 steps up from the high street to the restaurant so not suitable for anybody who can't climb stairs.

REALLY good food and EXTREMELY FRIENDLY service! The place is not too big but it is very spacious, the tables are well distanced and everything is very clean! Would absolutely reccommend!
