Best Thai in Swansea, Always absolutely delicious. The prawns in their king prawn Krapow are just superb, just wish there was more of them 😋

Was so happy to find this hidden gem in the Swansea market. I ate there with my husband and daughter who also loved their food. Can recommend the Chicken satay Pad Thai, red chicken curry, papaya salad and the main course soup, We were also offered some fresh chillis in a fish sauce to add. Hot but delicious. Everything was 10/10 tasty, authentic, friendly, helpful and great value for money. I'll definitely be visiting again.

Food is always lovely, but takeaways are sometimes not always as hot as I would like, usually need reheating. The Panang is really tasty, it used to be really spicy which I loved, but now it’s more mild. Would be nice to have that kick in it again. Always quickly served, staff are always friendly and the owner is very down to Earth and has time to chat with all his customers.

Every time I eat here I want to come back for breakfast, lunch and supper the next day. Larb & moo ping are my absolute favourites, everything else is just delicious. Amazing value, and they’ll omit the fish sauce if you want veggie/vegan. The chefs are amazing, multitasking, smiling, helpful and serving up fantastic healthy, tasty food at great value. Great stop in Swansea market. Food great, tables clean, prices decent (main.and rice £5.50 (and service better than most pubs. Owner even comes out to chat and see how you are. A true gem of Swansea market

Food was amazing, very quick and efficient service! The man who took my order was very polite and made me feel at ease, nice to see that masks were being worn and eating area was spotless and wiped down after every customer, would return and recommend to anyone!

Maybe they were having a bad day but it’s the worst pad Thai I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve eaten a lot). Essentially it was dry chicken breast with rice noodles and sweet chilli sauce all over it. It didn’t even look like pad thai as it was pink (I presume from the copious sweet chilli sauce). It was very disappointing. On the plus side the portions were large and reasonably priced.

Came across this by accident. Great Thai food. Huge portions. Great price. Sat at a table and had an excellent meal. Having lived in Thailand for five years, I can vouch that this is the real deal!

Love Thai Taste! My father introduced me to their stall in the market a few years back and now it’s one of my favourites. Tasty food. Nice portions. Usually busy due to being popular, but the wait time isn’t long.

Always a terrific meal here. The staff are so friendly, the food so fresh. Everything is cooked to perfection. Fully caters for vegetarians and vegans too which is lovely. They can’t do enough for you! It’s always busy and you can see why. The only downside is that it has to open with the market hours, but if this were an evening restaurant, they’d be busy even then. It’s a must try. If you find something you like, you’ll stick with it. But don’t be afraid to try something else too.

The food here is to die for. The staff are friendly and the whole experience is great. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. Vegetables are bought from other traders in the market and so is the meat. I would recommend the curries, Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. Great for vegans and vegetarians too.

The food is cooked fresh and full of flavour and the quality is second to none it never fails to disappoint and the staff are very polite and can't do enough for you, it seems nothing is to much trouble for them

Tried a few different dishes here and I am an chef. I've tried a few different thai places in Swansea. This place is bad. Bland food been whipped together as cheaply as possible. The chicken I had yesterday was grey in colour and so dry I'm surprised if It wasnt cooked 2 or 3 days ago. I love a panang chicken but here it's terrible. Do not recommend

This is the closest I guess you'd get to Thai street food in Swansea. A limited menu but the dishes are classics and cooked up fresh as you wait. A stunning place to eat. It's not a long sit-down experience it is a grub-and-go place but does not suffer at all for that. It is really good Thai food and the prices as you'd guess are very reasonable. Amazing.

Without question the nicest Thai food in South Wales, and don’t let the market stall appearance sway your decision, the food is tasty and totally authentic! Spend lots of time in Thailand and this is among the best I have tasted as the authentic staff make the food using traditional and imported ingredients. The owner talks to everyone and is always very friendly. Sometimes there is a small weight but you don’t mind as things are then cooked fresh if they have run out. It can get pretty busy at lunch time so my advice go a little earlier in the day or later before 3:30. This has now become a weekly go to Thai takeaway for us!

Great option if you fancy something slightly different. Food is fresh and full of taste and zing. Be careful of the spices though as it can be pretty hot! Having travelled extensively throughout Thailand I can confirm that it is authentic Thai cuisine. Can be very busy so watch out for your timings.

Called lunch time spoke to staff about various meals we were both given samples with no obligation. Finally settled for a mild chicken and sweet potatoe type curry absolutely Super It say a lot when you see the No of Asians eating there and the people queuing for take aways

Me and my wife have visited Thai Taste since it opened and I honestly and whole heartedly have to say it's the nicest Thai food I have ever tried.Other Thai restaurant in the area are tasty but they just hold nothing on the dishes in Thai Taste, and this is a Market Stall.The ladies that work here are very polite and the owner is incredibly humble gentleman.Sitting in is always an option but we mostly take the food to go, remembering to always order way too much as it warms really nicely later that day.

I'm so glad I found out about this place - it's a hidden gem in central Swansea. Perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a quick and tasty meal for a small price, it's amazing value. Great for students who want to eat out but don't want to splurge. It can get busy during lunchtimes but they also do food to takeaway. It's nice knowing you're supporting a local business especially the hardworking Thai ladies.

It's conveniently situated in the centre of the market. The food is really tasty, although I must make an effort to order something different!!! At £4.50 for a main course it's an absolute bargain. Lovely staff too.

My favourite place to get Thai food. I always have the chicken Panang with steamed rice. Always hot, always fresh and always spicy :) The only downfall is the lunchtime mad rush and the language barrier between some of the staff.

We came by when visiting Swansea and the market. The prices are around £4.50. The food was Okay, but not terrific, the rice was a bit overcooked in my opinion. Maybe I am missing the real authentic Thai food essence, but I expected a bit more. Spicey it was.

Best Thai food I've ever had. It's a small place but you can always find a seat. Great seevice with smiles from all the staff. Quick service, deliciois food, freshly cooked and at reasonal prices. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to try Thai food or loves it.

Absolute gem. Tucked away in an average market - the Thai ladies running this stall are as authentic as you can get. You can either have pre cooked dishes ready to go, or they will cook you proper Thai - think Som Tam, Larb Gai - and for silly cheap prices.

When living in Swansea I became addicted to this place the food is soooo tasty and very good value for money here . Best Thai I have ever had and no other place comes close to this. Super speedy too. Well done ladies !

I have been to Thailand, tasted so many Thailand dishes everywhere, yet, tasting these dishes from this hidden gem inside the Swansea market made me feel like it’s my first time all over again. (We would have enjoyed it better if they are accepting cards/contactless payments) It was worth the wait from the long queues, and quickly had the table to dine, no complaints about the staff, very affordable and very satisfyingly filling making our very first time in Swansea a memorable one!

My wife and I were on holiday and visited Swansea indoor market. We noted a queue for this place and the meals looked nicely presented. It is busy (or at least when we were there) so we had to loiter for a table. You get to your table, note the table number then place your order. Food came up mega fast, I had Pad Thai with chicken my wife had Chicken and cashew with boiled rice. Generous portions, very tasty, reasonable (£12 for two dinners and drinks) and nice environment. The ladies were helpful (we did have to ask to have the table wiped down which they did immediately). It is no frills but strangely enhances the experience. Will definitely go back again if we are ever in Swansea.

Myself and three colleagues went here on a recommendation, three of us had green curry one had pad thai, a whole container of rice and a whole container of curry, £5,it was absolutely delicious, including some spring rolls, wow, no wonder it was busy, what a little gem of a find, definitely going back.

My partner and I ate lunch here earlier this week. The food was freshly cooked in an open kitchen. I chose vegetarian pad thai (the server explained the ingredients and checked about allergies) and my partner had chicken satay. The food was ready within five minutes and was delicious. We sat in the little seating area in the middle of the bustling Swansea market. There was always a queue of customers - (mainly take away), but the service was extremely efficient. We are local and will definitely come again and recommend it to our friends.

A popular stop in a busy market -sitting area as well as take away. Good service,but lunchtime can be busy. Freshly cooked with an authentic Thai taste.

Impressively authentic Thai food considering its in the middle of Swansea, the pricing here is great value and they do some harder to find dishes like papaya salad. Friendly staff are happy to make food spicier or milder on request. Quality of food has not always met expectation over many visits so it loses a star, but still definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic food, very good value for money, good service, friendly and polite staff, great market atmosphere, good portions. Food served hot and presented well. Gets very busy at lunch time but worth the wait. No card facilities. Will definitely return for another scrumptious meal. Highly recommended.

Visited Thai Taste today for lunch and what a great decision i googled asian food in Swansea and decided to give this eatery a go, the staff are very helpful and polite my wife do not like very spicy food so she was given recommendations and tasters prior to choosing her meal which she enjoyed I like my food a bit spicier and was recommended a dish by the proprietor and what a great choice we are looking forward to our next trip to Swansea so we can enjoy the delights of Thai once again also the prices are excellent value for such beautiful cooked food .

I enjoy popping into the market, we all need to keep it going. Yesterday I decided to have a Thai lunch. I asked for a spicy dish with prawns. I wanted king prawns not tiny prawns. It came and boy was it spicy, but thankfully had about 5 big prawns. I had a laugh with a fellow diner about how hot it was. Lots of chilli. My eyes were streaming but I wouldn't give up. I'd just had my makeup done in Debenhams. All this for £4.50. Thanks I will be back again and again. Support Swansea Market have a look around great produce and stalls.

My daughter wanted to take me to Thai Taste in the Swansea Market Hall and I wasn’t disappointed. Fabulous spicy Chicken Panang and my daughter had the Pad Thai. Only £4.50 a meal!

Where I work in the city centre affords me so much choice if I haven’t brought lunch, have to say that sometimes even if I have when someone mentions “Thai Taste?” Everyone within shouting distance perks up. This is freshly made throughout the day and so tasty and such good value for money. Balance this against a burger meal from McD’s and without a doubt hands down this wins. I even pick up a couple of meals to take home as a Friday night take away as this is so good. Healthy option that tastes sinful and never boring. We love it 5*

After a quick gym session in town was looking round for some good grub and came into the market and came across this place. Got to say bloody tasty as hell and will be coming back here again after my gym session or whenever I’m in town

Very popular Thai restaurant providing authentic food cooked on the premises. Preparation and cooking is visible, which is something I find comforting. Lunchtime demand meant that even with 9 staff there was a queue and we returned after 2.00 pm when tables were more freely available. Sitting there it was almost like being on a Bangkok pavement. Despite being busy staff are chatty and friendly and our food arrived quickly. Had som tam which was fresh & spicy and moo ping which was gristle free.

You've got to try this place you have to wait but well worth it fresh and delicious food...you need to open a proper restaurant so we can come in the evening.

Probably as authentically Thai as you can get at a street vendor price. The quality and quantity are both good. The only issue is beyond their control... it gets crowded.

I visited the Thai Taste with my 9yr old daughter at the beginning of the summer holidays and in all honesty I think we have visited at least twice every week of the summer holidays!

I'm lucky enough to be able to grab lunch here about once a month, I usually go for the red curry with rice, it's plenty spicy for me as it's not super hot. Service is great even when busy, well worth the money and probably on a par price wise with a lot of the fast food giants and certainly a lot better for you!

It’s lunch time and the walk into town can have you wondering to many establishments. Walking through Swansea Market with the amazing smells this place is a must. The food was fulfilling and of taste.

I've eaten in here loads of times - it's in the market (enter the market via Union Street, walk straight past the fruit and veg stalls on your right and you'll see it on your right hand side).

we chanced upon this wonderful establishment our first day in Swansea, and it became our go-to spot for delicious and fairly authentic Thai food each day (except Sunday, alas, when the Swansea Market is closed- but that led us to another great restaurant discovery anyways)

Heard about Thai Taste and tried it out,so glad we did.So Tasty,we had masaman curry and red curry,delicious all freshly prepared .We can't wait to go again,other meals being ordered looked lovely.Excellent value for money ,wonderful street food on your doorstep.

Always a delight to come here in the afternoon for lunch. Absolute bargain prices for freshly cooked noodles and a drink. I also recommend the Moo Ping as that was also very tasty. It's often busy here and its not hard to see why. A really lovely gem to Swansea Market.

This place is the nearest ive had to what ive had in Thailand, authentic as it comes. Very friendly staff. Fresh cooked to order and high quality ingredients. Been there so many times and would go again. Prices r great and very good value. Well recommended

Have past this venue many times whilst in market always packed with customers of all nationalities. So the wife and I tried it lunch time today for the 1st time. What a gem the place is spotless you could eat off the floor Staff very polite an exceedingly helpfully explained various menu options and offered tasters on all meals. We had spring rolls with a dip and a garnish A1. We had sweet and sour chicken with boiled rice More than enough and beautifully cooked and presented All for £10 odd. Fab Lunch thanks to all staff.

I go here when I'm on break quite regularly. The staff are lovely, it's really quick and the food is absolutely stunning! I give it a straight ten out of ten, if you've never tried this place I highly recommend trying it you won't be disappointed

I've been coming to Thai Taste for about 2 years now.

This was a lunchtime visit and it gets busy. I chose the pad krapow, which was pork and chicken stir fried with basil, garlic and chillies in light soy sauce £4.50. It was a generous serving and delicious , great value for money. I had a can of fanta 90p aswell. The service was good and friendly.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon - the place was crazy busy, and it’s little wonder. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful as regards explaining the menu. The food is fantastic, we had to wait about 15 minutes but this is because each dish is freshly cooked to order. They will even cook Thai food that isn’t on the menu if you ask for it. We had to sit at one of the tables outside which wasn’t ideal, but it didn’t put us off and we will definitely return. Absolutely delicious, good value, authentic Thai food, highly recommended.

Service was really quick and easy to order. Prices are very good. Portions are a good size as well. Only issue was that the food was a bit cold. Not hot all the way through. Left half of it. Had food from here before and was good but standards seem to be dropping.

Working in Swansea I regularly call into Thai taste for lunch and have never been disappointed. Usually I buy 1 meal to eat for lunch and a 2nd to take home for supper! My personal favourite is the panang but I have eaten and really enjoyed all the food available. If your going during the lunch period it will get really busy so make sure you have plenty of time or grab yourself a takeaway. For £5 you can grab a separate portion of curry and rice which is big enough for 2 meals but I've never managed to keep any leftovers hence buying a 2nd curry!! The spring roll with dipping sauce and the satay chicken are also really good. Would highly recommend visiting if your in Swansea and like Thai food oys the best I've found.

Ate here yesterday at lunchtime, asked for a very spicy dish and the chicken certainly didn't disappoint. Decent portion, speedy service and amazingly cheap. £4.50 for a main course including rice. Even provided me with chopsticks when I asked.

Pedimos pad thai(increíble) Chicken rice (buenisimo) y spring rolls (muy ricos). Totalmente recomendable si queréis comer bien y a muy buen precio.

Called and picked up two dishes to take away. Husband enjoyed both, but unfortunately I couldn't eat any as they were both far too hot and spicy! Having been to Thailand and had no problems with the food there this was very disappointing. Why so hot and spicy? Thai food should be tasty, not so hot that you can't taste it. Won't be returning.

At lunchtimes, Thai Taste can get extremely busy. Whilst this says a lot about the value and quality of the food, it can get a little overwhelming for staff. Check your order when it comes as I have had mix-ups on a few occasions... not least of which was on my first sit-down visit, when I ordered food which came with what I thought must've been an extra 'side'... turns out I had tucked into someone else's order which was delivered to my table. Whoops.Not so much of an issue, but I then had a staff member quite aggressively tell me that I had to pay for the bit I didn't order! In a packed market, this was a tad embarrassing. Usually I'd stick to my guns, but on this occasion I just wanted to get away as it was becoming a bit of a fuss... so paid and left.But otherwise... great food. Tom Yum is pretty good by most standards, Green Curry is superb.

I visited Thai Taste on my lunch break yesterday and I was really impressed. Me and my friend both had the pad Thai and really enjoyed. The portion size was really decent and the cost (£4.50) was also very good value for what we got. I’ll definitely be going back again and trying something different from the menu. You can take away or sit in and there’s a surprisingly good amount of tables. Lovely food, friendly staff, great prices and quick service. You can’t go wrong.

I have been to a lot of Thai food places around the world, including in Thailand. In my opinion, this place beats them all. They capture the essence Thai market food, albiet with a slight adjustment for the Western palette, in a simple and super-clean setting.The place itself is unpretentious and the staff are efficient and lovely. The food is amazing. I've now had most of the menu and it's all fantastic. Everything is fresh, spicy and well portioned. It is all pretty cheap too, so is amazing value for money.I go here every couple of weeks. I can't really recommend this place more.

What a find. I was looking around Swansea market for a nostalgic visit and come across this gem. The food is amazing, the cleanliness is A1 and the staff are very helpful. Bought seven takeaway meals and had a sit down. You will not be disappointed. Will be back very soon as the freezer is looking empty.

I have been for lunch there twice and each time the food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and lovely. I lived in Thailand for several months when I was younger and the food here is exactly the same as the food I had in Thailand. This cafe is well deserving of its Five Star Rating.

Great value tasty daytime thai lunch. Good selection of dishes to eat in or takeaway. All main dishes are £4.50 each + starter and drink if required. Really busy but quite fast service.
