Always great food. The lunch menu is amazing value and the reason we go so often. Food is so flavourful and perfectly balanced.

Love this restaurant, always book when visiting Newmarket and this meal didn't dissapoint. The restaurant was very busy, but the food was superb as always, choose from both the menu and specials board. Great cocktails too. Our waitress Ella was great, super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

OMG! My wife and I ordered our usual go-to dishes when eating, Thai green curry and chicken chow mien. They were the best ones we'd ever eaten. It's clearly a popular restaurant as all tables full and with the quality of our dishes we can see why. Reasonably priced and friendly, efficient staff.

We walked into this cafe looking forward to a good Thai meal. We stood waiting to see if there was a table available…. And waited and waited. Two members of staff walked past us and ignored us… so we left and we won’t be back. If we had been at least acknowledged, we would have stayed for sure. We understand that the place was busy and we would have been happy to wait if only someone had said hello. 😞

Always great food - whether it’s take away or eat in the food is always fresh and great flavours - some of the chilli dishes are a bit punchy but it’s clear on the menu which these are and if you really like heat - go for it!

Watch out with the prices I order a Amstel that it saids on the menu £3.80 but when the bill came it saids £4.50 I told the waitresses and she saids very rudely thats the new price but that is not what is reflected on the menu I said. I felt the menu was deceiving, I felt Scam, for sure I won't be going back there again.

I’ve been here a few times for lunch. The lunch menu is good value, the food is very tasty and it comes out quite quickly. My only gripe is that the bar staff tend to throw empty glass bottles into some kind of bin, which makes a really loud noise, and is a bit irritating. But it’s excellent value for money, and worth a visit.

Very disappointed on the last takeaway! Our family is a regular visitor to this venue either to eat in or takeaway. Usually high standard but the last takeaway we purchased someone had not closed the lids completely resulting in the coconut curry leaking out into the bottom of the bag and entering some of the other dishes! We couldn't return to the venue and explain what had happened due to time constraints so we had to make do with a miss mash of dishes all without our favourite coconut ingredient !

Have been several times before as it fits in with trips for any purpose to Newmarket. One great advantage is that [unlike other restaurants in the town[ it does open at lunchtime [!} and stays open all day. Had lunch there today and as good as ever. Speedy service and excellent food. At lunchtime there is a meal in a box for less than £6. If vegetarian emphasise "No fish sauce or shrimp"

I've been here several times now both for lunch and dinner. The food is really good and if you ever come for dinner be prepared to not get a table as it's pretty much always busy and there's good reason for that! Would highly recommend.

Fabulous Thai food! The beef massaman curry was delicious!!! I’ve marked it down because our crackers were forgotten about, and one of our mains ended up sloshed all over my handbag. But overall it was really good indeed and we enjoyed it!

I've been to this restaurant a number of times and I've never been disappointed. The staff are attentive and amiable, the cooks produce wonderful food and it's all reasonably priced. Come for lunch, supper, a night out, when you can't be bothered to cook for yourself.

Went there for lunch a few days ago, I chose the lunch deal with the Thai fish cakes and Pad Thai, it was one of the best Pad Thai I ever had outside of Thailand... Also very impressed with the good service. The place could do with a bit more of a Thai vibe/decor. As the food is so good, it would be nice to feel like you are in Thailand :-)

Came in here with 3 friends after horse racing at Newmarket and were luck to get a table.I had the spicy seafood soup which was an absolute treat.All the food we had was lovely and the 3 bottles of red wine we had went down very well too.Service was great and we were made very welcome.

The meal was excellent, we had a shared meal for 2 people so had a chance to sample several different things. The servings were very generous and could really have been enough for 3 people.The service was prompt and friendly.Would happily return.

Was not sure from the outside of the restaurant but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised with the vibe and delicious looking food served at other tables. Despite being quite busy for Monday night, and despite having seem to receive a lot of take away orders, our drinks and food served rather promptly by a friendly, attentive waiter. We ordered a set menu ( 18 per person or something like that) and were totally full by the time we left the restaurant with big smile on our face. It was definitely the best green chicken curry we had in England - even better than some served in fancy Thai restaurants in London ! Unlike many other Thai restaurants in UK where they serve Thai green curry in the diluted bland version ( sorry to sound snobbish here ) this one was full of flavor, rich and spicy but not overly so. Convinced that they have a Thai chef in the kitchen, we asked the waiter and he readily confirmed so. Yes! All other dishes are delicious ( noodle, satay , fried banana etc) and you can tell the chef cooks from fresh ingredients with his ( her?) heart in it. What a nice surprise. Great food. Great vibe. Attentive service. Reasonable price. ( seems to be kids friendly too - as we saw some family and there is a kid menu too ) Yeay ! If we drive past New Market area again, we know where to go now!

Suggested for a takeaway after some of my family had been to eat there a while ago and raved about it, but as 30 miles from where I live, the opportunity has only just occurred.

We ate dinner at the Thai Street Cafe on a Monday evening while we on a short visit to the Newmarket area. This is a busy modern style restaurant with large bar area. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Our food was absolutely delicious and surpassed our expectations. Unusually for us we even had a dessert, the banana fritters, which were also very good indeed. The prices were very reasonable and we would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

My niece, who lives in Newmarket, introduced us to The Thai Street Cafe & very good it was too. Three of us ate on a Tuesday evening, the restaurant was fairly busy, but they managed to seat us straight away. We only had a main course, but the starter & main menus were good & varied, the dessert section of the menu wasn't very inspiring, so we skipped pudding. My choice was Singapore Noodles, which I asked them to spice up a bit, which they did. My wife had a Massaman(?) Curry, which she really enjoyed. My niece also had a curry, but I can't remember what it was. All three of us were very pleased with the food, which was tasty & very reasonably priced, good portion sizes too. We paid £32 for three dishes & one soft drink (no alcohol, the curse of driving). We will return next time we're in the area. I've clased it as Cheap Eats below, as it was very good value for the money, but maybe it would be Mid-range if alcohol was included.

My wife and I regularly eat at TSC and the food is always first class, don’t think we’ve ever had a bad meal here. Of particular note are the Beef Massouman, which can be made to any heat you like including “Thai hot” which is spot-on. My wife loves the Veg Pad Thai and the restaurant can readily accommodate her GF and DF dietary requirements. It can get busy at the weekends, so booking is a good idea.

Great atmosphere (always great to see a busy restaurant on an unpleasant mid week, mid month evening), excellent honest food well cooked and served. Food allergy well catered for with ease. Good all round value, highly recommended

My boyfriend and I had come in one day to grab some dinner. It was a busy Saturday but we were offered a spot at the bar. After only a short amount minutes James kindly offered us s table and provided us exceptional service! He was amazing! Def made our experience here comfortable even though we didn’t have a reservation and they were quite busy!

Popped in a round 6.30pm for tea. It was quite busy but I was asked if I wouldn’t mind eating at the bar. No worries from my side. Bar man quickly took my order and Chilli prawns and ample amounts of Thai crackers arrived shortly after. Both where excellent.

Last night while visiting my friend who lives in Newmarket we decided to go to the old crown where we worked together 36 years ago when it was the crown pub and restaurant, we first of all got told by the tall waiter who met us at the door that he had no booking for us for Sunday night but we were the table that didn’t turn up on Saturday night???

We go for lunch once a month when in need of a quick and flavoursome meal. The lunch menu is short but very good value. We have always been served quickly even when the restaurant is full and the food quick to come. The food is very good. If you like Thai food this is the place to go.

Lots of choice. Informal restaurant you can have a table or sit at the bar. Food served very quickly. I went for the chicken panang the sauce was delicious with crispy peppers and green beans. The chicken was like that cooked sliced chicken you buy in the supermarket but delicious all the same. I'd definitely have bit again.

Wow.....Just wow!!! This was our first visit and the food was amazing. We had the £18.95 sharing for 4 and it was so good ( and great value for money). I would highly recommend that you visit, but be sure to book in advance x

On a wet Tuesday night in March this place was packed. They must be doing something right but no way is this authentic Thai food. It’s not even close - ‘bland’ is the best word - for Thai food!? My ‘classic’ Thai dish was cooked without chillies and the waitress was surprised when I questioned this. “Oh, would you like some?” She supplied a small bowl of “chillies” which tasted more like red pepper (bell peppers).

Plenty of choices for starters, mains and deserts and really wanted to try them all. Recommend for less formal nights with friends or partner. Staff very friendly and made to feel welcome.

We have just returned from a family birthday dinner at the Thai street cafe, this was our first visit and had been recommended by a friend. There were 9 of us and we were all very very impressed ! We were served by Michael who was chatty and informative and had a great conversation with us about my nephews rugby, he was attententive without being intrusive and made us all feel very comfortable. The food is superb highly recommend the massaman curry it is delicious. The evening was lovely with not one single criticism from anyone will definitely be back thank you Michael and the Thai street cafe.

I ate here at weekend with a friend, it wasn't very busy when we first got there but soon picked up, the food was lovely and all presented well. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The overall price was good for what we had too so not an overpriced menu at all, will defiantly go back.

My wife and I use this restaurant when we wish to have a good light lunch which is both tasty and value for money. It is quickly served and the lunch boxes are especially east to eat from. There main menu is also available and is at a reasonable value.

I go here with my son reasonably regularly. They always bring the food out quickly, are friendly and the food is of a reasonably high quality. I normally plan for around £20 per head including a couple of beers per person and it's always in that ball park. A nice place to go with a good atmosphere.
