Thai Square - Covent Garden in Camden

Quite annoyed staff and very rushed ordering and experience. The curries were okay, but Laab Kai was inedibly hot and the profile of spices was very off. Overall okay experience but not one I’d like to repeat.

The crispy duck was amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant

Full five stars for this amazing restaurant full of great vibes, delicious food and friendly service! Louis was very attentive and helpful. The food came quite quickly, we had the shared platter for our starters, didn’t disappoint at all! The mains were all loved by my guests! I will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you!

Decent restaurant, nice decor. Food was average, I had the sweet and sour tofu though that was a bit more on the sweet side. I also specifically requested no onions in my dish when booking, even when placing my order I asked for the same. Despite all this, I found a piece of spring onion in my salt and pepper tofu dish which was disappointing. The restaurant knew that one of us was vegetarian and so when we ordered a platter of starters to share, there were some vegetarian starters but unfortunately they were with the non-vegetarian stuff and one of us couldn't eat it, which was a shame. Also the waiters seemed more busier waiting on tables of more people than our table of 4! They served the starters fairly quickly but there was a gap of 15 minutes between the starters and the mains which felt long! The waiters need to be more proactive. There is also a service charge which is extortionate! The food in general is also pricey. Having said this, they were kind enough to accommodate birthday cakes for our table and brought the cakes out for us :)

Perfect lunch combo meal pre-crystal maze experience. We had a group of 7 and the food was quick, large portions for the cost and tasted out of this world.

Good for pre-theatre meal. Food was good, but rice came in a plastic bag.

Though the environment is good but the food is bad. It’s just street food level or even worse, and in very small portion, just because it’s served in a fancy environment the price is triple. It doesn’t worth it!

It’s was a friend’s birthday treat and ohh boy! We were so full, with good food and a ton of Prawns which are my favourite. Had the 3-course gold set menu - Platter of starters like corn cakes, vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay, chicken dumplings and butterfly prawns. It was followed by a lovely mushrooms and chicken coconut soup. To finish the meal with Chi Chi Prawns which so so sweet & juicy and the best, some Prawns and Scallops which were light and tasty, accompanied by jasmine rice and mixed vegetables. Nothing disappointed but was delicious. Loved all the Cocktails too! I would recommend this place.

Jungle vegetrian curry was very good nice and spicy.

Visited in June 2023. We came here as part of a Virgin Experience Pre Theatre evening. TS is a comfortable and a casual restaurant offering Thai culinary delights. The menu options for pre-theatre was simple and concise. We went for classics such as Squid, Dumplings and Pad Thai, which is tried and tested. All pretty delicious yet nothing spectacular. The restaurant was clean, tidy and had some good decor. Friendly service. This is not my favourite Thai restaurant in London however, a good back up option when you’re in Central London. An overall pleasant experience.

Great food and nice atmosphere. Some Westend theatres are just around the corner and I can recommend the pre-theatre menu.

This branch of the Thai Square chain is actually in Shaftesbury Avenue, very convenient for many nearby theatres. The pre-theatre menu we were offered had either vegetarian or non-vegetarian mixed starter followed by plenty of choices for the main course. The non-vegetarian starter was five or six items plus sauces, all very tasty. Mains of chicken green curry and beef panang were both excellent. The service was friendly and efficient and the meal was good value for money. Will visit this and/or other branches again soon.

Really nice restaurant and the decorations are amazing. Restaurant was busy so couldn’t take pics. Food was really good ,had prawn crackers as a starter and pad thai as main. My friend is gluten intolerant and she was looked after..Very attentive the staff and the prices are pretty decent ,will comeback for sure.

Thaï square is visually appealing and mouth-wateringly great. Every restaurant I have been to makes you feel like you are in another world. They are picturesque, romantic and perfect place to take pictures. The service is impeccable! They are happy to serve and do it with a smile and happy energy. If you haven’t been it’s worth the experience.

We visited last night for my birthday. I can honestly say it is the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Bursting with flavour. We will definitely be returning. The staff were also amazing

Really lovely meal after seeing a show. The quality of the food was extremely good and the staff were polite and helpful throughout. We had the Pad Thai, Duck Curry and Sweet & Sour Chicken, with some Mango Sorbet afterwards (although this was fairly ordinary). As you might expect from a restaurant focused on delivering for theatre goers, the service was quick but this did not detract from the experience. We had plenty of time to talk and discuss the show. Mildly in the pricey side, but not unreasonably. £72 for three people - a drink each, 3 x main courses and 1 x pudding. Service charge was around 12% added on top, but this was discretionary. Would eat here again.

The food and atmosphere are very nice. Louis, Korn, Cream are attentive and friendly. Caramelized seafood is delicious.

Food was ok, tasty but not very hot, weeping tiger quite lukewarm in fact. Restaurant not that busy on a Thursday night before Xmas, not much ambience. Ladies toilets were an absolute disgrace - absolutely stank, bins overflowing and cobwebs and dust in the corners. Someone must have known about the stench as the door had been propped open - had I seen this before eating would have left and gone elsewhere.

Good ambience and very flavourful food.

Quite pleasant atmosphere. One of the best customers care. Papayas Salad is best with decorations. As it’s Thai Restaurant and They are serving only Thai beer which is Chang. It has good test as it’s necessary. There is one thing I think that needs attention , mix vegetable platter is too oily.

Food was alright ! i had a pad thai which was really good but my friend had a curry which was quite weird. we also ordered satays as a side dish and prawn dumplings which were very mid. Staff was so lovely though. They made an effort on decoration but it ended up looking very cheap. I dont know if ill be back🤷‍♀️ i feel there are better options for the price

Sinds onze reis naar Thailand zijn we op zoek naar een restaurant dat echte Khao Soi serveert. Bij Thai Square hebben we dat eindelijk gevonden 😍 Héérlijk authentieke Khao Soi waar we echt van genoten hebben. Daarnaast was de bediening zeer vriendelijk en was het leuk en rustig zitten. Als we nog eens naar Londen komen, gaan we zeker hier terugkeren! Er wordt 12,5% service aangerekend.

A very cozy and warm ambience restaurant. The service by the restaurant people are very friendly and approachable, and all are very cheerful. for the food, the Thai omelette is really good. For the steam sea bass is fresh and the sour and spicy sauce on the fish are just so fantastic. Also the glass noodles with prawn are so good that we just finished all. I would really recommend and come back again before going back my country.

A very nice and warm restaurant. The service of the staff are great and they are very friendly and nice, approachable. Food are also very good, ordered Thai omelette, that really has the exact Thai taste thinking some restaurant already cater to the local English but not for this restaurant. The steam sea bass with lemon sauce with chilli are very good, the sauce just brings out the sour and spicy flavours really like it. The glass noodles with prawns, is really so good and nice one. I will come back again and already plan another one before going back my country.

We had dinner here yesterday. The food was really good. Portions are quite small, but sufficient. The service was rather poor. After we just finished eating and didn’t order a dessert, the bill was brought to us without being asked (total time in the restaurant: 28 minutes). The bill already included a tip of 12.5%, which we found quite a lot (especially for the poor service). Food very good, service unfortunately not. Therefore only 3 stars.

I recently visited Thai Square in London, searching of something cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. "Coconut Jasmine flavor" Made with creamy coconut milk and infused with the subtle floral scent of jasmine flowers, this unique ice cream was everything I hoped it would be. The flavors blended together beautifully - the coconut provided a rich, smooth base while the jasmine lent a delicate perfume. You could really taste the fresh coconut coming through. The texture was perfect - soft and scoopable but not melted or runny. Each bite was cool and soothing but with plenty of rich coconut flavor to satisfy a sweet craving. I was impressed by how well the jasmine essence came through without being overpowering. It added an exotic touch to an otherwise classic coconut ice cream.

Food was amazing! Service was top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant and will very likely be visiting again some time.

Very delicious Thai food (and I’m picky because I used to live in Thailand 😻) We had amazing dinner, everything was superb

Went for a quick lunch with friends and was recommended to try a few desserts at this restaurant. Was the best dessert I had in London. The coconut jasmine ice cream was the best. It tastes amazing and I kept wanting more. We also had mango sticky rice which was superb as well. Highly recommended.

My Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals at Thai Square. The green curry was flavoursome with crunchy vegetables and a perfect level of heat. The rice was cooked perfectly and the spring rolls were a tasty side. Would highly recommend this restaurant, especially as a pre-theatre venue.

Excellent impromptu meal at Thai Square. The staff were very accommodating with finding us a table without a reservation. The food was wonderful but what stood out most was the service! Hats off to Louise who was quick and efficient as well as jovial with conversation and even took the effort to accommodate a slight change to our order last minute

Warning! If vegi or vegan do not eat there as they put fish sauce in the food then tell you they didn’t. I got it taken off the bill. This has happened twice now, not happy after as I’ve not eaten fish or meat for over 19 years and it dates horrid 🤬

We had an excellent experience in this restaurant. During my stay in London for few days (I’m from Paris), my family and I had dinner in this Thai square restaurant (we were 10 people) . The staff was friendly and polite. The food was great. The place is lovely and clean .Would highly recommend!

Best prawn pad thai I’ve had. Good quality food that i could actually taste. Clean rather than gungy and full of fish paste like some other places.

I can’t fault this restaurant. The Thai Green Curry was delicious with crunchy vegetables. I loved that the service wasn’t pushy to eat more . We got our food and we have been left alone to enjoy the meal. I really really appreciate service like that. (I don’t want to be asked 100 times- if everything is all right with my food). Ambience was just great. The veggie option is mainly tofu, but plenty of flavours and 🌶️ to choose from. I will visit again

Went there with my wife between shows of Cursed Child. Asked to have our meal a little quicklier and it came a few minutes later. Both pad thai and stir fry were delicious. Try their beer. Really light and fresh. Prices are normal but atmosphere and cleanliness are A1. Washrooms were beautifully decorated also and clean

Got a pad thai that looked more like a Coleslaw salad - plus no sauce to it. Their pad see ew was a real ew - spent a night throwing up after dinner there.

Order a month ago the table for 7 guests. As soon as we set and order the food came, and we couldn’t order any thing as they told us the kitchen is closed. This was 5 minutes from the moment we set. Why they accepted our reservation if actually the restaurant was closing in matter of minutes. Was very disappointing to learn that also the staff was disturbed by the management asking them to go on take late orders. Very much un fair and. My advice is Do not order table after 08:00 PM. I will contact the management and share what they had to say. Also, food was cold, imagine eating you meal cold.

Food was cold and service was mediocre.

Great value for money, it was amazing, we only got starters and still the portion sizes were huge. Tastes great and the presentation was really authentic.

Nice food and ambience with attentive but not pushy customer service. Attended as a party of 4 and chose to go for Ala carte. Nice selection of veg options on offer. Would return again!

Shocking! Asked to swap out a Chicken Based meal (Massuman Curry) for Tofu as we're vegetarian, and the waiter said that is fine. When the food came out, the curry had Chicken + Tofu in there! Luckily we happened to check before eating it. The worst part however, was when we told the waiter the issue, the response was 'do you want me to change it?' LOL. OF COURSE WE WANT IT CHANGED, WE'RE VEGERATIAN!!! No apology or sympathy given by the restaurant either given the severity of that mistake. Once the replaced curry came out though it was nice.

This restaurant is not very Good at all… not the same taste as Thai food. Meat too cooked, soup not the taste of coconut milk… find another restaurant!

Such tasty food and great service , had the prawn red curry, masses of large prawns and sauce just delicious. Sticky rice topped it off.

Enjoyed the food very much and the atmosphere was very good. It appeared they did not have the full compliment of staff as service could have been a bit quicker.

The food was really nice and well prepared. Only thing I will say is their food is spicy, the 2 chilli sign was still overly spicy for me and my partner and should be a 3 in my opinion. We also got charged for prawn crackers which we did not receive which seems abit shady in my opinion. The only restaurant I have been to that charge for take away boxes which was a surprise. This place will see me again but next time I will request my spice to be toned down slightly and bring my own take away boxes (which is silly).

We went for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon but didn't realise that this particular branch closed early on a Sunday, so we felt somewhat rushed! It would have been helpful if the restaurant had advised us of that, especially as my friends had come all the way from Scotland. Otherwise the food was very good and reasonably priced.

Pad Thai & Sweet n Sour stir fry sublime!

Great before a show. Location is great, food was lovely, service was slow but we didn’t feel rushed into eating fast. Downside was the toilet facilities not being clean, lots of rubbish & paper on the floor of rat cubicle, slightly off putting.

Perfect restaurant for a pre-theatre lunch and it was lovely & cool during the heat wave due to aircon! Food was excellent quality & great flavours.
