An absolute lovely hidden gem. Perfect for a meal after the cinema. The panaeng curry was Devine and the restaraunt has a very cosy vibe.

Delicious food. Very good price. Very good service.

Don’t order takeaway! I placed an order Sunday evening an hour before close. I went to pick it up and was charged 8.50 for a tiny papaya salad. By the time i got it home it was almost inevitable because of the amount of chilli used. It’s a shame because Thai food can be great but this was a very Poor example.

First time eating here, the food was out of this world, every bite was delicious. It’s a lovely little place tucked away but to us was a gem of a find. The service was quick and efficient nothing too much trouble. My only disappointment was that we didn’t find it earlier. We will definitely recommend and will be back again. A little gem best find in Brighton to date

After 7 years of going here still my favourite Thai place. Homely atmosphere and absolutely gorgeous food. Would recommend to anyone.

Easily the worst Thai food I've had in Brighton. I'm trying to figure out why it's called Thai Spice, because there certainly weren't any spices in my curry! Seriously, I had no idea green curry could be so flavorless. It's a shame because the restaurant itself was cozy and charming.

Great authentic Thai restaurant. The service was great, and the food was delicious. We were surprised with a birthday desert with candles, which was a great end to our meal. If you love Thai food, then this is the place to visit 👌

I’ve been coming here now for probably 25 years or so and it never fails. Really reasonably priced. Excellently cooked and presented, lovely service. A real hidden gem.

A little gem of a Thai restaurant hidden in a back street. My Thai wife gave her full approval (rare for her to do so with a UK Thai eatery). Can recommend the Tom Kha soup. The Moo Ping was really tasty. The service was very friendly. Highly recommended. Steve and Kesorn

The restaurant is hidden in a lane, and the decoration looks similar to British pub, which is pretty cool. Went during 6pm, it was not that crowded, but the crowd turn up near 7pm. The owner of the restaurant is very nice and try her best to serve everyone one quickly. We have order three dishes and two rices and not sure if we should order more, the owner kindly suggested we can see the portion first and if we need more dishes, they can make it quick for us. The curry is good and authentic, the sea food soup was fresh and spicy enough, the papaya salad is the best I ever had in the Uk. Strongly recommend to order dessert from them, was a perfect ending for the whole meal.

Food was bland and insipid. We odered the Pad Prik Kra Pao (Chilli and Hot Basil) stir-fry and Red curry and both were lacking chilli but the Pad Prik Kra Pao was literally just some soggy veg with a bit of fish sauce and a couple of bits of basil. I wasn't expecting it to be like it was in Bangkok but some spice, flavour, chilli and care wouldn't have gone amiss. Hard avoid.

I ordered a set meal A as did my two friends. The price of the food was good but it looked like they only served enough for two people. The food, although mild, wasn't really the taste I was looking for. I wouldn't recommend set meal A. If you know what to order your experience could have been much better.

My better half and myself tried this Thai restaurant when we were in Brighton last. This time, being on my own I wanted to find out it things had improved. Sadly, this is not the case. Although the food was all right, it was nothing extraordinary. The food was definitely better than many others we had tried though, so that was in their favour. The staff were friendly with the service good. I did not have too long to wait for my take-away meal to be ready. This was a plus for them.

A quick visit to a small cosy eatery down an unassuming alley. The place had a 70’s curry house vibe about it- in a good way! Fair prices and polite staff, the only downside they brought out a wrong main dish, but they quickly swapped it no fuss- plus the prawns were huge! Give it a try for sure.

Nice little restaurant. Décor is a little dated, but adds to the authenticity. Food was great and service perfectly good. We booked but it wasn't busy on a Sunday evening. Prices good too. I'll come here again.

The dishes here tasted excellent, especially he green curry which had just the right spice. The pad Thai not bad either. Dumpling starters were packed with pork. The service was friendly and price was very reasonable. I’d recommend.

Growing up in a house hold where Thai food was the main dish, I’d like to consider my self an expert. If you want authentic Thai food ask for the Thai menu where you can try northern Thai food. This includes Thai spicy salads and soups with aromatic herbal flavor. Thank me later!

Stumbled across this restaurant down a side st, decided to give it a try as love Thai food, was absolutely delicious dishes, wine reasonably priced and staff were lovely . We will be back

This restaurant is small and friendly, not busy on a wet Tuesday night, but seemed to attract an eclectic range of diners. We had a mixed starter between us, which was very palatable. Vegetable Pad Thai, vegetable Red Curry and Kai Yang (chicken with honey and spices) were ordered. The first two were delicious, the latter - well I don't know as it never arrived. Now, as we are not well versed in the quirks of Thai cusine, we had no idea if we had ordered something that traditionally comes seperately (like crispy duck at a Chinese restaurant), so we ploughed on with what we had. As it happened it was enough to be fulfilling, and leave enough room for me to try something new for dessert - namely Gluay Buat Chee, hot banana in coconut cream basically, very sweet and tasty. We had a bottle of decent Pino Grigiot to accompany the food. The bill was just over £40 (after we reminded them our chicken was absent - we know by the reaction of the waitress that it was not done deliberately - it was a genuine mistake). Not a place for a romantic night out, but good honest food and kind service at a reasonable price.

Owner or manager had a table of teenagers not far from us all competing with playing devices. I don’t come to a restaurant to listen to the tinny noise of TikTok and YouTube clips. Ate as quickly as we could and left.

It basically was the only place with the kitchen still open (sadly at just 21:30...) in front of the hotel so we didn't have much choice. Food is not too bad, tasty, greasy of course, menu is gigantic and it has a 1000 dishes probably, from hotpot to Singapore food and whatever, portions are generous but the place was just so dirty! Grease all over the table, garbage on the floor, empty cardboard boxes stacked around, just kind of unhygienic all together. Clientele was mostly Chinese so food should be pretty authentic Sichuan, but do mind the hygienic situations...

Considering how many branches of Costa there are in Brighton - this is perhaps the best location. However Lack lustre, slow, service. Dirty unclear tables & Many of the items of food unavailable really don’t help. The cafe is large with an lots of tables & larger downstairs seating area. They forgot one of our drinks, but did give us a larger one at no extra cost. It was lunch time & they were busy. Still a disappointing lunch not the usual Costa standard.

Came along on Saturday evening before seeing a show at the Brighton Centre, was first through the doors ! We were in and out within the hour which was perfect, dumpings and mixed starter to start with very tasty. Followed by Pad Thai and a lovely Duck dish, washed down with a bottle of wine - price £54 bargain

Saw this restaurant whilst we were looking for a place to eat and thought we’d give it a try as there seemed to be quite a few others dining. I’m glad that we did as the food was really nice and freshly cooked.

The title says it all. The chicken in my curry was raw. No money taken off the bill, barely an apology. Makes you shudder at the thought of what else they serve.

Una visita rápida a un pequeño y acogedor restaurante en un callejón sin pretensiones. El lugar tenía un ambiente de casa de curry de los 70 al respecto, ¡en el buen sentido! Precios justos y personal amable, el único inconveniente fue que trajeron un plato principal equivocado, pero rápidamente lo cambiaron sin problemas, ¡además las gambas eran enormes! Ate here with my other half having last eaten there years ago on a previous visit to Brighton. Nice old building, busy and reasonably priced, but we did find our stirfrys a bit bland and lacking in flavour.

Excellent value for lunch, even after the recent price increase to £7.50 for the lunch set menu. Lovely freshly cooked food , served efficiently. Very small restaurant so be prepared to wait for a table

Possibly not the most attractive interior but for a lunchtime meal i.e.not too heavy but good cooking,reasonable choice for a set menu proved just right for us and two starters,meals an drinks for less than £20 can't be bad

Staying in a nearby Brighton hotel, we decided at we would try some Thai food for that evening's meal. They were only about a ten-minute walk away, so not far at all.Their take-away menu was fairly extensive, so we had a decent choice. My nearest and dearest chose the Pad Thai, while I decided on a curry with fried rice.My fried rice was not as spicy as I would have liked it, but the Pad Thai apparently was very good. I certainly cannot complain about the curry, but it all really boils down to personal taste.The meal arrived sooner than expected ,which was a bonus. The staff were friendly enough ,so we have no complaints on that score. The price of our meals were slightly on the high side, but not by much. As it has been a long time since we have eaten Thai food in this country, we have no idea of costs. Thai food where we live in Australia is expensive, so we do not have that as often as we would like.

Went here with husband and daughter and was not disappointed. Had mixed starters which was excellent and then had a Thai curry. Very tasty and speedy service without being rushed. Restaurant full of Thai diners which does say something. Had been here before and the standard is still good.

With the owners young children watching TV & doing homework I had a bit of a doubt on entering. “Reviews look good, let’s give it a go”. A waitress wearing jogging bottoms & trainers brought over the menu. Plenty of choice for starters & mains.

We came across this restaurant whilst having a drink at the next door pub. It is quite basic and dark looking but decided to give it a go as it had several Thai people in so thought that it must be good! We were not disappointed and the food was very tasty and plentiful. I had vegetable pad thai and it was delicious and plentiful. I would recommend anyone to try this place as it is small but friendly and yummy food. Prices are reasonable too! All in all, a nice little find!

Went for dinner with my [ Thai ] wife last week, small cosy restaurant off the main road. Attentive staff who happily spiced up the Laarb dish to meet her chilli levels. She thought the dishes were lovely, very authentic in taste.

Fui allí anoche. Me preguntaron si el entrante mixto tenía hongos porque era alérgico. El camarero dijo que no. Llegó el juez de salida y afortunadamente cortó uno de los tempura de vegetales para descubrir que era hongos. Sin embargo, la masa contaminada fue suficiente y pasó la noche muy mal.

Apareció aquí para una cena rápida el viernes por la noche en Brighton. Pedí Roast Duck and Rice mientras mi compañero iba por Pad Thai. La comida llegó rápidamente y los dos estábamos contentos con nuestros platos. El pato asado era muy jugoso y tierno, y Pad Thai tenía un buen nivel de especias. Servicio rápido y eficiente y comida muy buena relación calidad-precio.

The food we had was delicious, well priced and cooked to order. We were so impressed we came back for dinner the following night and were not disappointed. I wish this place was local to me.

We stumbled across this little restaurant by chance and are so glad we decided to go in! It's quite small, and being a week night it was very quiet. Can't really fault anything - discreet, friendly service, delicious food, cold beer and great value for money. We had had a fairly big lunch, so only had a light meal at the Thai Spice, but we're looking forward to going for a "proper" dinner next time we're in Brighton. The Tom Yum was delicious, and the chicken satay (very tasty) was a really good sized portion for a starter.

Having read the various reviews my wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner recently during a short break in Brighton.

I went with my husband and friend last Saturday because my Thai friend recommended this place. I was so satisfied after sharing some starters (different tempura) and then trying pad Thai and chicken curry with coconut rice. Everything was more than I expected. Will go back for sure

Just on the side of the Lanes off West Street with simple tables appeared to be family run. Delicious set menu with a bit of everything Thai. Good value. Enjoyed the evenin.
