Always good value, I tend to have the same thing but it's always cooked fresh and is very tasty, good value if you order of the special menu, service is always friendly and helpful,

Ate here on Saturday night. Expected good things from the reviews but was pretty disappointed. Chicken skewers to start were pretty vile. Tasted gelatinous and undercooked. Knew we’d be unwell as soon as we took a bite. And soon enough, both me and my partner we very unwell. Service was quite poor. Asked for another beer several times, of which the beer never came. I won’t return and won’t recommend people to eat here.

Good and authentic thai dishes if you ask for the real thai ones with more chilli. Duck red curry is great. Tom yum is flavorful and you can ask for more chilli. Good service.

Traditional Thai (for amateur) cusine with all you need. Delicous food with nice stuff willing to help you and give you advises if you are not sure what to order✌️ Atmosphere is present and the kindness of the chief is something only what I saw in Thailand (till now).

Very nice place, I wasn't expecting to be this nice since its a bit far away from everything, but the food was delicious, we had some spicy soup and for main yellow curry chicken with rice (I forgot to take a picture). The meal was delicious, the prices are good and the service is great the ladies working there are super friendly people. Next time around I will be back trying the other items, there is a lot of dishes to choose from.

For a Thai Cuisine in a foreign land, the Tom Yum is superb. They can even adjust the spice to an Asian level. Ginger Jumbo Prawns and Green Curry Chicken is good even for a Thai customer. Well done in balancing the flavours.

The best Thai restaurant with the best food. Ordered a collection over the phone. 20 munutes later I picked my food up. Discount if you collect from the restsurant. Hot and ever so tasty. I would say this is the best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten from.

We had a takeaway from this restaurant. Food was all delicious, lovely Thai Curries and Stir Fry dishes.

Quiet on Thursday evening. Didn't need a reservation. One hard-working waitress doing everything with a smile. Not much atmosphere with just about four tables occupied. But we enjoyed it .

What a lovely Thai Restaurant to come to and share dishes with a friend. I don't recall having Thai before but it was lovely, very much enjoyed sharing dishes, chatting and time just flew. If ever back, will most definitely come back 🙂

Fantastic service & amazing food at a great price! The mixed starter was so fresh & delicious. Beef massaman full of flavour, rice fluffy & duck high quality.

Great experience, excellent customer service and very friendly. I liked that they changed plates and utensils after the starter. Food tasted very good and you can choose the level of spice too. The restaurant, tables, and toilets were perfectly clean. The price was good too- £19 for starters, Curry and egg fried rice. After the meal you are full and not bloated. Plus no service charge for under 8 people. 10% for 8+. Recommend this.

Very lovely place, staff were amazing oh the food was very excellent, staffs were very cheerful & pleasant.

I've been here multiple times now and I'm always amazed by the quality of the food and service. The dishes are authentic at reasonable prices. I particularly recommend coming for their Sunday banquet menu.

Visited this restaurant on a whime. Can't express how quick the service was. Seated in a beautifully delicately decorated area, we were attended to quickly and our order was taken. The food (set menu B) was divinely delicious and plentiful. I was pleseantly full at the end. Prices where very reasonable. Defiantly will return..... Soon.

We had the mixed starter, Pad Thai Noodles, Weeping Tiger & Ginger Jumbo River King Prawns. It was very good and they managed to remove all nuts too for my husband's allergy. Very enjoyable meal - will definitely be back again for a meal.

We have been going to this restaurant for years. It has the best quality food in town. Quick service, freshly cooked food, lovely staff and excellent prices!

I ordered a simple take away meal at 7.07 pm tonight; thai green curry, coconut rice and a soup. I asked how long - 25 past seven they said. I was a bit surprised as there were only four customers in the restaurant (and four staff; all standing around looking at their phones). I agreed. Fortunately, I did not pay in advance. With no communication at all, I stood around waiting until 7.42. Then I simply told them to keep it. Laughable lack of service. I don't think they care. The warning signs were there when I noticed only four customers on a saturday night. I have had food from them before and it has been OK. They have had my custom for the last time. avoid.

We've had plenty of takeaways from Thai Siam and eaten there too plenty of times. We were always pleased and came back for more. For us it was the best takeaway in EG. Until last Friday when the prices had gone up by over 10%, but then our food was poor. The squid was rubbery, in fact we couldn't really eat it, the sauce with my duck was watery and there was next to no veggies. The broccoli in my husband's beef dish was raw so could not be eaten. The portions were also smaller. I decided to contact them by email just to let them know, in case this was a one off and to alert them to this, but I've had no answer, hence the bad review. Since then I've found out someone else had a bad experience too very recently. It's a pity, it was our go-to place for takeaway. I hope it gets sorted soon

Restaurant was very tired and needs a face lift. There was hardly anyone else there but the staff still wanted to take our plates and drinks before we had finished.

Really great food as normal and good staff. Just a shame we had to ask for prawn crackers as they had still not come out when we'd almost finished our starters.

You can only choose dishes from the limited lunch menu, and came with a very small portion. I had to order one extra dish as I was still hungry after finished my set lunch. All food tasted very similar with lots of palm sugar.

Food was lovely could of done with a few more peppers and veg in the mains . On the flip side the toilets were smelly and needed a good clean so will not be going back for that reason .

This is without a doubt he best restaurant here in EG. The BBQ rib starter is amazing, it’s got some kind of limey Thai twinge to it, so good. And the Choo chi prawn curry is on another level to any curry you’ve had an a Thai before. The lady who runs it couldn’t be more friendly & accommodating, the prices are pitched well, the decor inside is relaxing & warm. It’s actually the best. I’ve lived in EG for 9 years & it’s been my favourite for this entire time. I’m so glad they manages to stay open despite the pandemic. Five stars well deserved.

Agree with Stuart below- good food but marred by poor service. The older waitress was exceptionally rude in her demeanor, refusing point blank to give us separate checks as there were 8 of us. I've never been denied something as simple before, and all it would have involved was some paying attention on their part when they took the orders, but they obviously just couldn't be bothered. They also left me out *each* time they took a drinks order and I had to run after them, but no apology. I began to wonder if this was on purpose by the third time. They then had the cheek to add a service charge to our bill! Won't be going back, which is £200-300 of weekly business that we will be taking elsewhere.

We went for the lunch special and it was very good. I recommend the chicken with cashew nuts.

Good service, tasty food, pleasant setting and good value but a lot of the dishes do contain MSG so be advised if you are sensitive to it.

What a find, looks simple when you go in but the food is smashing, freshest cleanest tastiest Thai, in London this would be megabucks...

Had a lovely take away from here. Penang curry was really nice. Will definitely go for a meal here soon.

Nice food, From the time we booked it was like were an inconvenience . First time I phoned up I asked if they still did the buffet on a sunday she said no and put the phone down on me. I phoned a few days later and she insisted on telling me they didn't do the buffet even though I was on a different number. When we turned up for the meal she said it again and the service was awful. The worst that I have experienced in my whole life. There was nobody else in the restaurant and can see why. They were moving tables in the empty restaurant and I asked for a brandy but they continued to move the tables for at least 10 mins before I cancelled the brandy and asked for the bill which came fairly quickly obviously to get rid of us. We were polite throughout well behaved and quiet, clean well dressed and spent close to £100 When we left at 7pm after 2 hours we all called out thank you but no response. If you can't or don't want to provide a good service in that industry then don't bother is my view. Absolute disgrace and has turned something which used to be very nice into something very bad. No doubt your restaurant will continue to empty and we certainly won't be filling it up,

The food was full of flavour, service was good. Would suggest a better cleaning fluid for tables as they were rather sticky? Otherwise nice meal.

Early evening tea. Fantastic food and service. Had the fixed menu £22 each, absolutely gorgeous food and great portions.

Ordered a takeaway to be told a time to collect, waited 30 mins after that time to be told it’s still being cooked, got a refund and a pathetic apology, won’t be coming back

This evening we ordered the mixed starters for 2, a red thai curry and coconut rice.....the quality was amazing, the food piping hot and it all tasted delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone wanting a great food....Thank you Thai Siam, you are now our number 1 takeaway x

Really decent food. Only had 3 dishes of takeaway, but was impressed by the depth of flavour and lack of greasiness in all. The portion sizes are maybe a little smaller than some places, but the quality is definitely superior.

The food here is always really fresh and tasty. It doesn’t feel really unhealthy and are generous portion sizes. The chilli duck is amazing would recommend.

Well im very disappointed today with a dry chicken pad thai...never had a problem here but im sure this was left over from lunch and not freshly cooked i did call but apart from a sorry nothing done....i will go elsewhere from now on...always try to stay local but this was very poor !!!!

This is personally my favourite local Thai place. Its reasonably priced, great service and run by some absolutely lovely people. Green curry and coconut rice are my go to along with their pad thai noodles! Superb and always enough for leftovers the following day.

Me and my partner visited the restaurant and ordered a chicken satay starter each, my partner bit into his and then spat it into a napkin as it was stone cold and rubbery, when we looked at it the chicken was completely raw inside, I then pulled mine apart (luckily hadn’t but into it) to find mine was completely raw, I called a waitress over to tell her neither of our starters were cooked and she said wait there (leaving the plates with raw chicken infront of us for atleast 5 minutes) whilst serving other customers, finally came back took the plates and asked if we wanted fresh ones to which we said yes we don’t fancy eating raw chicken. A little while later she brought 2 fresh starters out to which we cut open before biting to find these were even more raw than the first lot served, me and my parter no longer wanted to eat here so we went to the til and said we’ve been served raw chicken twice in a row and stated how dangerous this could have been if I had eaten it as I’m pregnant to which they said sorry about that and gave us the bill CHARGING US FOR OUR STARTER my partner said to them I’m not paying for the starters we didn’t get toEat I will pay for the drink we had each, they argued for abit until I told them I’m pregnant you’ve given me raw chicken and could have made the baby unwell and that they are disgusting for trying to put it on the bill to which the manager came over and said no you can remove the starters. I thought this was an absolute joke, they weren’t apologetic ATALL and didn’t seem to think it was a big deal atall. Obviously will never be returning.

Thai Siam is situated in an unassuming parade of shops between the main town and the train station, with a pay and display car park a brief walk away. The interior gives the impression of a Mediterranean restaurant, with some traditional Thai decorations to remind you otherwise!The service was friendly and the food was tasty, but as other reviewers have said, it does seem to lack atmosphere, which would elevate it from a casual stop after shopping, to a go-to dining destination. We were seated at the back towards the kitchen though, so perhaps this dampened the ambience.In terms of the food, we had prawn crackers, vegetable spring rolls, Thai fish cakes and vegetable tempura to share for our starter. Service was prompt and the food was hot and delicious (although I'm not a big fan of the texture of Thai fish cakes, so we probably could have done without those!) Our main course followed shortly; weeping tiger, turmeric fish, chicken pad thai and egg rice. The fish was served in a generous portion of sauce, the consistency was good (not too watery!) and the spicing was subtle. The meat and fish were good quality too.We finished our meal with an ice cream and a brownie; with one beer and one mineral water, the bill came to £75.70. This seemed a bit steep, but we did have a lot of food! Overall, I think Thai Siam might be better for a takeaway than a dining-in experience, as the food does the talking here :-)

The restaurant itself has a very relaxed and traditional feel to it. It has low lighting and nice spaced out tables inside, giving tables a little more privacy than other nearby restaurants. The food is always quick to come out, it is always steaming hot and full of flavour. The widely diverse menu consists of weeping tiger (my personal reccomendation), pad thai and oyster sauce stir fry. The team at Thai Siam are always very friendly and recognise repeat customers, nothing is ever too much trouble. The only drawback to the restaurant is the pricing. We do find that the pricing is only very slightly too high. Nothing too outrageous, but sometimes this factor can affect our reccomendations. Located at the bottom end of the high street of the busy East Grinstead near all the shops, and other food outlets.The Siam is richly decorated inside the beauitiful building with a vast dining area.Once you enter the restaurant you will be welcomed by the attentive and courteous staff. They serve the most amazing food all freshly cooked to order. choices include classic Thia dishes and some tempting starters.my vist was a truly an enjoyable dining experience. This charming restaurant well worth a visit.

Visited last week with my bf. It was quite late and they still served us even though we spent a long time thinking what to eat. I am coeliac and was very surprised as they have a gluten free menu(not that maaaany options, but definitely worth it, and they are working on making a more extense GF/dairy free menu) they were very careful with my food and the service was just perfect. Really nice staff, we loved the food as well. Totally recommend. We’ll be back!

I tried this restaurant for the first time today and went for the Sunday buffet, specifically because children (10 years under) were only charged £7. So they charged £15 for my 10yr old son, even though he didn’t eat that much food...very unimpressed & felt conned. Food was mediocre at best; last time I visit & wont recommend.

Very brightly lite with little atmosphere and a tad cold (kept jacket on the whole time and waitresses had double layer tops on!)Food was very tasty and well presented with some fabulous, fresh, spicy flavours.My prawn dish had loads of prawns in it and the sticky chicken dish was delicious.The accompanying wine was fully of flavour and reasonably priced.

3 friends dined here for the first time about 7pm on a Tuesday evening. Was 'greeted' by a very grumpy looking waitress and didn't feel very welcomed at all. Found the restaurant to be too brightly lit and not very cosy. This may be ok during the lunchtime, but for an evening meal it felt too much like a canteen. Think some wall hangings or cosier touches are needed. The restaurant was also quite cold and my friend actually felt the need to put her coat back on.All that said, the food was actually delicious! I had the stir fried crispy chicken with cashew nuts and it was really good. Bottle of house red was a reasonable price.I'm not sure whether I would go again because I really felt the restaurant lacked any atmosphere, but would recommend the food. Maybe I'll get take aways.

Very disappointing. Staff wanted to close at 2.30. Made that very clear early on. Poor service and food mediocre.

Enjoyed a very pleasant meal on a Wednesday evening. Staff were efficient, friendly and welcoming. A busy evening with a large party also enjoying the food. We began with the mixed starter which was very good, as always. We followed this with ginger king prawns, weeping tiger steak, coconut rice and a chicken pad thai, everything was delicious and freshly made. Highly recommend.

food was good and not oily - i had the fish cakes and then prawn red curry. Both tasty. My only gripe was that the prawn red curry had few vegetables - but was generous with the prawns and portion size. Overall, worth a visit - nice ambience and very popular it seems

Stopped here on a Wednesday evening, very busy restaurant plus a stream of people collecting take-aways. Staff are always very helpful, polite and attentive. Food is consistently good, the mixed starter is freshly cooked and we followed that with the ginger prawns, weeping tiger steak, coconut rice and plain pad thai noodles. Always a great evening here.

Lunched there today. Really great Thai food and nice staff, particularly if you can chat a bit of Thai to them. Good food, staff very busy with a full house and the meal spread out nicely rather than rushed. We liked the buffet concept that gives plenty of flexibility and discourages waste. It would be good to see a slightly bigger selection on the menu.

We’ve had a few takeouts from here not yet been inside to eat although the restaurant looks stunning inside. The food is to die for. A real treat for us. Can be expensive if your like us and want to try a little of everything. They do all you can eat buffet during the week I believe and keep meaning to find the time to come inside and eat. We’ve recommended to friends and family who are now regular customers. Big foodie thumbs up from me

Delicious Thai cooking and attentive polite staff makes this traditional Thai a culinary must-stop for East Grinstead. We visited for the Sunday Buffet which is a bit misleading as it is actually an 'order as many courses as you want' from the buffet menu with personal service with table service. All the freshly cooked dishes were delightful and the cover of the menu starts the meal with a smile. Great value at £15 a head. We got to try lots of different dishes because of it.
