Stopped in here before going to see Bronco Billy, we had a certain amount of time and let them know when we were seated. It was nice because even though they were busy we didn’t need reservations. Loved that they took food allergies seriously and took time to identify items and also talk through questions. They were fast and efficient, and food was so good!

Average central London Thai that could be better. Dishes need to more authentically reflect Thai flavours. Service was a little pushy, half empty but quickly asked more than once what our order was, without being given time to read the menu.

Terrible food. I literally felt like I'd been robbed. Starters were dry, we tried to explain, the staff was more bothered about going home than helping us. Food was terrible dry and tasteless. Staff were very rude. No high chair or changing facilities for babies, not very family friendly either.

Good thai curries and thai salads

Thai pot at Covent Garden London serves delicious, tasty Thai food. Thai green curry is fresh with vegetables and you have options to take prawns or chicken. The chicken wings was crispy and tasty too. The papaya salad was the best dish and a perfect salad to start your meal with. It had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness and really done well. It’s worth the visit and you have to try the papaya salad for sure. The service was super quick, good ambience and very convenient access from the Covent Garden station. Highly recommend this place 👌👌👌

Excellent authentic Thai food. I have been three times and every dish was excellent. The som tam is a must try, best I’ve ever had outside of Thailand!

Visited on a weekday for lunch and the restaurant was so quiet till an hour later when two or three tables were occupied. Service was very friendly,but food was so basic and very average for what we have chosen. For mains ,we had a Beef Massaman Curry which came with potatoes and only 5 pieces of beef. Taste was so average,Another vegetable dish was the stir fried glass noodle with assorted veggies,also so basic and average taste. 2 bowls of jasmine rice accompanied the dishes. Fairly disappointed with the meal as reviews were very favourable.

Very disappointing. Very empty on a Friday lunchtime. Food was very average and arrived within minutes of ordering. No lingering over coffee. They were eager to close up with bills brought and lights in the other half of the restaurant going out. Won’t be back

Fantastic Thai food. I had pad Thai and it was excellent. I have been for many years and it never disappoints. Very good staff very efficient and friendly.

Most places seemed to be booked with queues as it was Chinese New Year. However, while walking back to Charing Cross we came across the Thai Pot. The staff were very welcoming and showed us to our table. We gave a drinks order followed by our food order some 5 minutes later. The soup was sublime, with just the right amount of spice. My beef dish with sticky rice and a side of spinach was excellent. Thai beer was its usual quality. Overall, super impressed and very reasonably priced.

Our experience and meal was OK but under whelming and under expectations. 4 small cubes of beef in our Massaman curry, rather overcooked (and seemed not from fresh) salmon, small starter portions. Service was rushed, when we asked for recommendations from the extensive menu we were told to look through it ourselves! Overall atmosphere felt cold, that customers are a necessary evil! And when they started brushing the floor not far from us we got the impression they didn’t want us there anymore (9pm). Shame as this could be so much better.

Lovely little place tucked around the corner from the main streets. Interesting menu, friendly service. Will return.

This is a great Thai restaurant. A few minutes away from St Martin's in the field. The food is fresh and most importantly tastes amazing. The staff are friendly and great service. A must must try.

Thai Pot is such a wonderful place to go for a bite to eat. In addition to the food being delicious and of great quality, all of the staff who work there are always so extremely kind, friendly and welcoming, which makes for a great overall experience!

Shout out to the lady who served us, she knew we were in a rush and had us served in no time, absolute legend! Got a stir fry with tofu and veg, which was also quite nice.

Extensive menu but the lunch set menu is good value for money which is what we went for. Food was okay but not particularly special. As a fan of spicy food, I loved their chili pots they offer for the table. Some food took a while to arrive.

This is a very nice little restaurant tucked away from trafalgar Square and Charing Cross. The food is delicious. Totally recommend it!

I didn't feel so unrelaxed eating in a long time. The staff is constantly rushing and yelling. I can tell they probably are scared of their manager. The food quality and taste is average. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to have a relaxed dinner in a calm environment.

Really disappointing meal - the vermicelli salad which used to be a great sharer starter was barely enough for one and hardly any glass noodle in it - and 2 prawns. Main courses were OK but service was rushed - in a virtually empty restaurant- after 25+ years of this being a go to that will be my last visit

I visited with four work colleagues. Food was tasty and service was really friendly and fast. We were not in a rush, but this would be a perfect choice for a pre-theatre meal. Highly recommended.

A nice spot for Thai food. Good variety on the menu and the food was tasty with decent portion sizes. Some dishes took quite a while to arrive though.

Pre theatre, fast service. This will be a go to for us. Yes I have had better Thai but it was gorgeous still. My goodness the staff make it so wonderful. Friendly, welcoming and available. This is a gem .. handy for the theatre and not packed out like many places.

Fuimos un sábado por la noche temiendo no encontrar mesa pero no fue así, a pesar de estar lleno enseguida nos sentaron. Se ve que es un lugar muy concurrido pero son rápidos y la gente entra y sale continuamente. El ambiente es más de comer algo rápido, no es un ambiente relajado debido al ajetreo que hay. La comida estaba buenísima, pedimos sopa tom kha gai, curry de pato y padthai y todo genial, además el trato fue estupendo. Muy recomendable

Great fresh food and clearly liked by Thai visitors (which was a good sign). Friendly service. Unfortunately there was a dog in the restaurant, possibly owner or one of their relatives? I don’t mind a dog in a pub but not in an establishment like this so one star docked (and it barked a number of times!)

We came in without a booking as it smelt good. They quickly made room for us. All the food was amazing the best Thai we’ve ever had. The young male waiter was superb and attentive and really looked after us and made recommendations etc. can’t wait to return - delicious and amazing experience

Went to this restaurant to meet with some friends for a long overdue catch-up. The food was really good but it turned up in around 10/15 minutes after ordering together with a couple of the starters. This meant we were done in around 40 minutes. The waitress kept coming to ask if we wanted to order something else and constantly looking at our table which made us feel like they wanted us to leave an the place wasn't even busy. Personally, a quick service for lunch works but not so much for dinner as generally people have more time and want to have a nice chat.

A great find! Delicious food, the nicest Massaman chicken curry I’ve had in a long time. The ribs starter fell off the bone. Very friendly service, lively atmosphere. A great dinner with friends. We’ll be back!

The Thai Pot , a family enterprise, is a personal favorite and a standard stop during our regular visits to London's west end. Delicious food, year after year!

I have lived in Thailand for months, and when I moved to London, I found it almost impossible to find authentic Thai food. I miss it so much, but this place is probably the closest to it I have found. It was very yummy and brought me back to Thailand and its flavours. I really enjoyed it, and it is now my Thai restaurant to go to. It is a bit more pricey than the other Thai places, and wished portions would be a little bigger. I love papaya salad and Pad Kra Pao so much. Left a couple of pics of them.

Sometimes, dining on your own can be a challenge. Not here. Delicious food, excellent and fast service in a friendly atmosphere. Ideal for a wet evening in London when you need tasty food.

Even though it was a busy pre theatre period this restaurant was happy to accommodate me and other single diners. Fast friendly and efficient service with excellent food at very reasonable prices.

intoxication alimentaire après être passée ici, malade pendant deux jours. jamais autant vomi de ma vie. on a demandé s'ils avaient de la place pour 5 personnes et ils ont dit que oui, cependant ils nous ont mis sur une table de quatre avec une chaise en plus sur le bord de la table, en plein milieu du passage. c'était beaucoup trop serré. niveau cuisine, le riz n'était pas cuit et les plats de nouille était trop acide.

Thai Pot was on our radar pre-covid, it did'nt disappoint. The food and the service were both very good. Refuelled we walked back to our accommodation near Tower Bridge.

Unassuming place in a very touristy neighbourhood. Ambiance is ok, nothing fancy but nothing to complain about; food is good: not unforgettable, but good, at least the pad thai. Staff is very nice.

We stumbled upon this great, really great, restaurant whilst visiting the London Coliseum theatre. Fantastic authentic food with impeccable service and only 75m away from the theatre. How refreshing to find a place with a family feel rather than the big chains that dominate. I really recommend a visit if you are near St Martins Lane or Covent Garden.

Authentic and delicious Thai food! I’ve been to Bangkok so many times and the dishes they have here taste exactly like the food I had there. For our starter, we had the prawn salad, which was fresh and tangy and some tasty chicken satay. For our main, we shared a salmon dish with spicy sauce and paired it with brown rice. Very flavourful. The coconut ice cream and mango soufflé that we had for dessert were both good too. Overall, a very good experience. Can’t wait to come back to try their other dishes. Hope they’ll start offering mango sticky rice and fresh coconut water on the menu too.

This place was incredible - we have been searching all over for good Thai food in London and we finally found it! Best Thai in London!

My daughter could not eat the pad thai (fried noodles with prawns, I think), and neither could I. We finished quickly, then went to Wagamama around the corner. My daughter wolfed down her noodle soup hungrily and enjoyed it. Lesson learned.

Good place to enjoy Thai cuisine. Very well maintained and easily connected to public transport. We loved the food there, especially Massaman Curry and Phad Thai. Service was ok. The in charge lady was a little loud and was not friendly. The place was a little crowded but mNageable.

I have visited here several times and it’s great and the food is excellent, however each and every time, it has the bang them in bang them out approach. Staff hovering to take your order, food arrives within minutes and they are rushing to get...

A visit on a whim with friends. A comfortable dining room with tables nicely spaced. Very friendly service with excellent food. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and well put together. The house white was decent and well priced. Very enjoyable and always nice not to feel rushed. My chicken Pad Thai was excellent and my friends enjoyed their Thai green curry. Worth a visit.

As someone with a Malaysian background, out of respect I've avoided Thai food for years, as I know it's a real challenge to recreate dishes authentically, especially when ingredients need to travel so far, and be absolutely the freshest. But, as the trend for Thai food has matured, I thought I'd finally give it try. I went with a friend who had been to Thailand and already tried Thai Pot. As it was my first time we ordered some classic dishes. Tod Mun Pla fish cakes with vegatable vinaigrette 1/5 They looked like they were packed with flavour, but were surprisingly bland even with the vinaigrette. Very one note. Looking at some authentic Thai recipes I couldn't make out any of the ingredients when I tried these. Satay chicken with peanut sauce 1/5 Cooked well, but quite bland, there wasn't any Satay marinade on the chicken, it looked like it was just seasoned and brushed with lemongrass. The peanut sauce had coconut and would have been a nice complimentary to the chicken if it actually had the Satay marinade. Tom Yum Goong Soup with prawns -1/5 This had the overpowering taste of prawn paste! There is no prawn paste in Tom Yum. It killed any other flavour in the soup and was just aweful. I can't imagine what the chefs were thinking? Pad Thai -1/5 The chefs did it again, prawn paste returns but now mixed in Pad Thai! There is no prawn paste in Pad Thai. Same story, killed everything in the dish, plus it was a mean portion served with lemon instead of lime. Rice noodles are probably the cheapest dish you can find in SE Asia, so why not serve a normal portion? Thai Spciy Prawn Crackers with chilil sauce 5/5 The only thing we ordered that was delicious. The after kick comes from peppercorn. Doesn't really go with the chili sauce, fine by itself. Sorry to say but pretty much every dish was a disappointment. I don't really understand why they would use prawn paste like that? Maybe they think it's a short cut and no one would notice. Being Malaysian I immediately recognised it, it literally had me gaging. And I love prawn paste - used in a balanced way with other ingredients. My mum uses it in homecooked dishes, so I know how delicious it can be. The two stars are for the good service, it was friendly and efficient. The food and portion size to prices are what let it down. Thai Pot is actually run by Thai people, so I'm really disappointed at the sub par quality and inauthentic food. Judging from the good reviews, I either went on a bad day or, like my friend, people have no idea what they're tasting. I guess they don't want to spoil those good holiday memories.

Had Tomyum and Massaman curry, the soup was really bad, cant say I've ever had Tom Yum as bad as this. But massaman curry was allright, hence 2 stars, nice staff, but remarks about me not liking the soup just because I have bad taste were disgraceful.
