Thai kitchen was fantastic, food so tasty and delicious ,staff were very friendly and attentive.Great choice’s of meals on the menu.

Just had a fab meal here tonight for my birthday! 8 of us all had different main courses and each one was amazing! Def worth a try ! I will def be back 👍

First time eating here. Discovered purely by chance when researching Thai food, however a friend who heard we were intending using Thai Kitchen said we wouldn't be disappointed. She was right. The food was flavoursome with just the right amount of spice. My partner, who's birthday it was, doesn't like too spicy. I like it hot. The TomYum soup is without doubt the best i have tried. Hot and spicy, excellent. The attention from the staff was at just the right level, not intrusive but always willing to help. The chef included, she came out to make sure everything was OK. If your in Carnoustie and looking for something a wee bit different, try here. We will without doubt be back.

First time here so chose the set menu for two. Highly recommend as food quality and service were superb. Will be back soon 😀

Found this intimate little restaurant just off the high street and were pleased we did. The restaurant was fairly quiet as expected for mid week during May, but we were made so welcome by the owner, she explained what we were asking about on their fairly extensive menu for a small restaurant. We loved our starters and different stir fries as well as an acceptable wine to complete our meal. This small restaurant deserved both locals and tourists like ourselves to support it. We will certainly be back whenever we return to Carnoustie.

Went here with friends for our anniversary. We were welcomed with a lovely smile, showed quickly to our table and drink orders taken. Given time to make our meal choice and when the courses arrived they were hot and very tasty. Loved my Golden Bag starter and Chicken Cashew main. There was no feeling of being rushed out the door - just a lovely relaxed experience

Popped in to try a takeaway, had no idea if it would be good average or bad as I had not read reviews but wanted a quick meal I have to say it was excellent, really fresh, full of flavour and excellent service Will certainly buy again

The waitress (who I think was also the owner) was the sweetest most attentive woman and made my friend and I feel very well looked after during our meal. The food was authentic and tasty. I will definitely be back.

We had an amazing meal with fantastic service to celebrate my fathers 80th birthday. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the meal, great choice of menu, fantastic flavours and very accommodating with dietary requirements. The staff were very attentive and made us all feel very special.

The meal was nice - not exceptional but a good enjoyable meal. The service however was excellent and the staff all extremely friendly. Overall I would rate the meal as good value for money and I would go back to them again if in town.

Visited here last night. Very easy to book a table (fb messenger), the food was great( I recommend the Massamsn curry) and the staff could not have been nicer. Only cloud on the horizon was the very bright lighting , I asked for them to turn the dimmer switch down but it only went down a notch, the atmosphere would've been much improved with less harsh lighting.

We placed a big order on Saturday night and it arrived very quickly and all of the curries were delicious! We had Green, red and yellow thai currys as well as coconut and jasmine rice and noodles and it was all amazing. Would recommend highly!

There was a party of 12 of us and the Thai Kitchen could not be more accommodating. The standard of the food was breathtaking, the service smooth and quick and attentive and the price was beyond reasonable. Highly recommended.

Visited as we were in the area and thought it would be a change. I really hoped that it to be delicious given the reviews we had read. My starter was just average (chicken satay), as the chicken was very dry. However my husband ordered the tom yum soup and it was fragrant, hot and tasty. The main meals were nice, just a little oily. I had a chicken cashew stir fry and my husband ate a hot red curry. The coconut rice was nice but very salty and the noodles a bit gloopy. Prawn crackers weren’t nice either. So- it was fine but could be better and more refined. It cost £60.

It has been several months since my last visit to this restaurant and I have to say that I was not disappointed. I was the only person in at the time on Wednesday night which I cannot understand as the food is fresh, tasty, hot and sour and spicy, just as Thai food should be. We arrived as a walk in last night and were welcomed despite fully booked and no tables. They made a table which wasn’t best placed but since we just pitched up and it was Friday night was perfectly fine. The staff were warming and always smiling. The food was delicious. Best vegetable spring rolls I’ve had and I’ve been to Thailand. Main course were tasty and plentiful. Would highly recommend this small restaurant

We visited this absolutely fantastic Thai restaurant when staying in Carnoustie for a couple of nights, and couldn’t have been happier with it! The restaurant is quite small and intimate with a really nice atmosphere and is spotlessly clean. The food was so fresh and tasty and the service was great. It’s probably one of the best Thai meals I’ve had in Scotland and was good value for money too. If you find yourself looking for somewhere for a lovely evening meal in Carnoustie then don’t overlook this wee gem of a restaurant. I highly recommend it.

We were staying at the Carnoustie hotel and came here for dinner the food was very good, with fresh ingredients used, would recommend the sharing starter the fish cakes were great. Great little find.

We visited this restaurant last night. Weren’t sure as it was very quiet when we arrived but it soon got nice and busy, a good sign for a Thursday! The food was fantastic! We ordered the platter for two which we felt was a bit overpriced but tasted great. The curries were super! The duck and red are to be recommended. A great find and overall, great value.

Was really fancying trying Thai food but couldn't think of where to go. I Searched TripAdvisor to find some amazing reviews for Thai kitchen. So booked a table for 4 as family were visiting for the weekend. We were greeted at 5.30pm by a lovely waitress and we were shown to our seats next to a couple who were telling us how they were very impressed with the food so far. We ordered a mix starters for 3 and golden bags and were gobsmacked at how tasty everything was, light and fluffy making us want some more. The mains were out of this world, red curry, green curry, duck curry, massaman curry, delicious food, So impressed that we will be back for more. Thank you to the amazing chef and wonderful staff at Thai kitchen for this wonderful experience.

The setting is very basic but has lots of charm. The wine menu had a good range of choice and there is even a £100 bottle of champagne on there ?!?

Just visited this lovely restaurant with my wife and friends. The food was excellent, service friendly and very efficient. The menu offers a nice range of dishes and is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend you try this lovely little place you want be disappointed.

Had a fantastic meal at Thai Kitchen and highly recommend. Firstly messaged them via Facebook to request a table, had a response within the hour. The food and service was first class, we shared the sharing platter and then the Prawn Green Curry (normally rather mild, but this was the right side of spicy) and the Chicken Chilli Basil stir fry. It's a must if in Carnoustie

Ordered a takeaway from here for a group of 6. Food was ready on time and food was piping hot.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here in August. Waitress took time to explain the various dishes. When one dish was too spicy the cook came out to give advice. Later on she came back and asked how it was and told us what she had done. Really pleasant restaurant, friendly staff. Best to make a reservation.

From our experience it is usually difficult to find real Thai cooking in the UK. We have never had a meal that was less than excellent here. And the atmosphere is always lovely, it doesn't matter when you arrive, or how busy they are you are always made very welcome. Homely Thai food in a homely Thai environment.

My wife and I have eaten here several times since visiting Thailand and find both the welcome and cuisine very authentic. Well worth a visit.

Have been coming to this gem of restaurant for around 2 years now. Never had a bad experience and the food is amazing. The chef really cares about what she produces and it’s always of a very high standard. The staff and service is really good. Keep up the amazing work ladies.

The food at Thai Kitchen is good, but not great. We had pad thai, a couple of curries, and some appetizers. All in all, it was good.

Small intimate restaurant just off the main street in Carnoustie.Quiet when we arrived, but it was early on a Wednesday evening.We had a comfortable table in the window.Good extensive menu with individual meals and sharing options.We started with one vegetable and one mixed sharing platter between four.This was followed by individual choices. I had the Sweet, Sour & Spicy Fish with Coconut Rice. It was excellent. Everybody agreed that it was well cooked, beautifully presented and adequate. Would definately return when next in Arbroath.

Recently visited this restaurant with a few friends. We were given a warm welcome at the door and showed our seat. When we asked about the spiciness of the curries we were advised what was hot and what was mild. When the mixed starter arrived they looked and tasted delicious. The mains too when they arrived were hot and very tasty - we were all trying each other meals. We never felt rushed in the place, allowed to take our time and were the last to leave. All in all we will be very happy to return which hopefully will not be too long.

This restaurant opened a few years ago, and loving Thai food I always intended to visit. I'd heard great reviews from friends and family but only got round to visiting last night! I'm now kicking myself for waiting so long. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding! And the price was very reasonable. £50 for two starters, two mains with rice, two bottles of lager and one glass of wine. We absolutely loved everything about our evening and will be back very soon.

We have just eaten in this hidden gem of a restaurant just off Carnoustie main Street. If you live anywhere from Dundee to Arbroath and you haven't visited you are missing out. It may not look much from the outside but the food more than makes up for it. Not only does it taste fantastic but it is beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and helpful and not many restaurants have the chef coming out to check that your meal was up to standard! This restaurant may be tiny but more than makes up for it by transporting you to Thailand with its authentic beautiful food

I arrived just as it was closing but was still afforded a warm welcome.I was staying in the large Golf Hotel which is about a 5 minute walk away; it was well worth the effort of the walk to get good quality well cooked food that was very reasonably priced.The food was great - I had hot and sour soup followed by chicken red curry. Plenty of flavours and textures to enjoy.Strongly recommended for service and food. Thank you.

Very small restaurant with about 9 tables. One very calm waitress who seemed flawless in her work. Food, well, amazing!! Highly recommend the yellow curry!The chef came out and apologised for dinner being late and offered complementary ice cream or fritters. No idea why they thought the food was late. I thought the timings were perfect and we declined the kind offer.Would go again and again. Highly recommend it!!!!

We really really really enjoyed our meal last night at Thai Kitchen. The staff are so friendly and always give service with a smile :-) Although not really on the menu they were happy to make me my favourite Pad Thai Gai - yum! My boyfriend had Masaman curry which was also tasty. We also had starters and the presentation of each plate was lovely. The ambience of the restaurant is pretty and relaxing (and I appreciated the red roses on the tables last night as it was partly for our Valentine's treat as well as my birthday). Enjoyable meal out. Been to Thai Kitchen 4/5 times in past few weeks as I am working in the area and I have to say that the food is fantastic. I have had a different dish each time and the quality and taste has been second to none. Latest was the hot and sour king prawn soup to start followed by the duck curry with jasmine rice. The aromas as they arrived were amazing and the flavours were even better. Lots of hot, sweet, sour and spice coming from both dishes. I ate with three colleagues and everyone cleaned their plates and agreed that the food was excellent. Only sad part is that the restaurant as been virtual empty each time we have visited during the week. More people need to try this place as the food is top class.

Our second visit with friends yet again friendly service and the best Thai food I have tasted . If you live in the area you're missing out if you haven't been . Looking forward to our next visit .

This is the only sit down Thai restaurant around and you might expect the staff to take their customers for granted. Not at all - the welcome is good and the service likewise. The food is very tasty and well presented though they tend to stick to the tried and trusted and sometimes you wish they would offer something "different" and allow regulars to experiment with new dishes. Mind you, this is something that could be said of most Asian restaurants. If you try this restaurant you won't be disappointed.

The food was delicious and the staff could not do enough for you. Could this be the best Thai restaurant in Tayside. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We spent two days in Carnoustie at New Year, and as we could not get into the hotel restaurant, the girl in the Spar recommended the Thai Kitchen, I'm a so glad we asked her as it was an experience to remember, we had a set meal for two, this gave us a combination of three items, then for the main courses, we had two mains to share we also had two types of rice then followed by dessert, plus two rounds of drinks all this for £57, thanks for an excellent night.

One of the best and authentic Thai restaurants going, small but in the centre of town, menu not massive but food and service excellent, will keep going as often as possible.

Had the takeaway from here and was lovely! Will definitely return to sit in the restaurant some time. We had a chicken massaman curry and a chicken green curry and both were excellent, as were the starters we ordered - chicken on toast and chicken satay. 5*!

Visiting my other half who is working in the area, this little restaurant has become one of his regulars and having now visited myself I can understand why. The food we had last night was simply delicious. Service was very fast, staff very friendly.We had a platter starter, the tempura prawns and fish cakes were gorgeous, served with a sweet chilli sauce and a peanut sauce which was also lovely.To follow I had a Chicken Green Curry. Can not tell you how much flavour was packed into the curry, complimented with a delicate Jasmine Rice. Hope I get to come back.Oh and The Singapore (?) lager was also very nice, quite light.

People of Carnoustie you don't know how lucky you are.This is an authentic Thai venue where brilliant food is served with a smile.Lots of Chinese restaurants have Thai dishes on their menu but they usually disappoint. The Thai Kitchen is the real deal.We had fantastic starters and main courses which were freshly cooked and exactly as requested.We were the only 2 patrons due to it being late but both ladies ( server and chef ) were, friendly and happy to chat and answer all our queries.I absolutely 100% recommend a visit, you will not regret it.

We have take always from here regularly as well as sitting in. I adore there food, especially the king prawn yellow curry and the deep fried tofu. I highly recommend trying the food from here.

I have been lucky enough to go to Thailand and lucky enough to find this restaurant. The food is very authentic and a good value for money.ive actually been there and taken away a few times now.

As others have said, this is a smallish Thai restaurant situated on a side street at the edge of the main town. We ate here on a Friday evening rather than at our hotel and were not disappointed. We didn't even have to book. The menu is perhaps a little more restricted then you would get in a very large Thai restaurant but all the dishes that you would expect are included and are very well prepared. The wine list is not overly exciting but sufficient for the surroundings.The staff are very helpful and friendly which is alwas a big plus for me. I'd go again if I was ever in the area.
