Thai Garden in Kettering

Food is amazing as always, been coming here for over ten years, owners are very welcoming. However only downside is you always feel a bit rushed!

The food was very nice, Shane about the attitude of the young Male waiter. Very dismissive and rude.the other staff were friend and help. My friends who had come to visit me were not impressed by him. You think with everything going on, he’d be more friendly. Just didn’t seem interested. Sadly this can make a break a meal experience. Makes me think twice of taking friends again.

This review is not about the food because I didn't get to eat any! I was in Rothwell yesterday evening, checking out the area as a potential relocation spot. Figured I'd eat in the Market Hill area to get a feel for the atmosphere etc. I love Thai food, so wandered into the Thai Garden and asked if they had any availability. At the time, the restaurant was not at all busy, although I appreciate that there could have been imminent bookings. I was asked if I had a booking I replied no, then I was asked for how many. I replied one. Then came a bit of muttering about needing to have a booking and then came the most offensive part of the whole exchange -"how much are you going to spend?" I thought I was hearing things at first. What would possess a restaurateur to ask such a question? Were they trying to weigh up using a precious cover just for one person, who might not spend very much. . . . . Besides, I didn't even get to see the menu, to know what I might have wanted to spend. And since when is being seated contingent upon how much you're going to spend. Either you have space to seat somebody or you don't. And then I was told that they do takeaway and asked whether I wanted take away. I replied "no I do not" and promptly left. I'm not one to jump to offence but the whole interaction was out of order and I can't help but wonder if I was in a different skin, whether it would have unfolded in exactly the same way. I live in London and eating out is something I enjoy from high end spots to my local kebab shop. I have never experienced such. I feel it was very rude and unnecessary. If you don't have space, no problem but asking a potential patron about what they intend to spend is plain wrong, highly offensive and it should never happen. I hope you take stock and never engage with anybody like that ever again. For comparison, I tried the Italian kitchen instead which was clearly very busy, unlike the Thai Garden. It was a completely different experience. The lovely lady who greeted me tried to see what she could do for me and because it was so busy she could only offer me an hour slot. I didn't take it because I didn't want to rush through dinner but I really appreciated her manner and effort. Thai Garden - take notes on how to treat people!

Always lovely food, but it is often a long wait between courses. The bill is just broken down as food:£233 and drinks: £95, so it isn’t a clear or very honest way of presenting it. We return for the lovely food.

We ordered a takeaway from there today, the 28th may, got my birthday. They just opened again yesterday during this covid lockdown. They were so lovely on the phone when I ordered. They were so organised when I went to pick up. We got the food home 25 minutes away. Omg it was so good, just as good as when we go and sit in. Thank you so much for opening again, and also thankyou for making my birthday fantastic during these very odd times, see you again soon

Even the basics are done to the highest level and items like Sam rod and crashes nuts in yellow bean sauce are divine. Service is always brilliant as well

We visit Thai garden regularly as it’s one of our favourite restaurants. On Sunday we went with all our family to celebrate a couple of birthdays . We had the amazing buffet lunch which was fabulous, everyone was looked after so well . Vegan, vegetarian and the little ones were catered for so well. Everyone enjoyed all the food which there was plenty of! Freshly cooked, so much variety and as always friendly and attentive staff. Thank you for making it a very special day , we will of course be back !

Have heard so much about this place so was expecting something outstanding. The food is pleasant enough but portions are very small and prices pretty high. Despite it being a quiet midweek night were asked for drinks orders before sitting and felt very rushed through service. Ordered a dish that menu states contains cashew nuts but came with (much cheaper) peanuts. When we commented were told it was a printing error - same error is apparent on the website.

We've been here many times and the food is always high quality. Service is casual and very efficient. We booked 6.15 pm for the Valentines Night special menu. Service was swift.....too swift as most of the staff ran from the bar to the kitchen. Lovely meal let down by the dessert menu....more important the lack of desserts. We ordered toffee banana, waited and waited. Only to be told that they had ran out. The truth is that with toffee banana the kitchen needs to make time. With orders and takeaway orders we NEW this was a lie......ran out my arse.Perhaps more honesty next time, don't offer a dessert menu is you don't want to serve it. In addition my floater coffee never turned up either.

Usually we don’t eat here on a Saturday night as it is always so busy but it was the only night our friends were free to join us. In spite of the restaurant being completely full at 6 30 and numerous orders for takeaways Sam and Joanne still produced a magnificent meal. Many congratulations to their amazing chef too. We will of course return as we have done for the last 20 plus years!!!

I with my wife have been visiting the Thai Garden for the last 25 years and can honestly say every visit has exceeded what a good restaurant should be. Lots of choice on the menu which is always high quality and the service is second to none. A big thank you to Sam and his team. Pay them a visit and enjoy authentic and beautifully cooked dishes and don’t forget to say hello and give them your feedback.

I recently had the opportunity to eat in at this restaurant. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was quite relaxed and the staff are immediately friendly, and were very attentive to requests. The menu is varied, with Thai, Chinese and Malaysian cuisine. The food was superb; the prawns in garlic butter are exceptionally addicting. Everything was cooked perfectly. The great reviews this restaurant has are definitely well deserved, and when I am in the area again I will definitely return to sample more dishes from the best restaurant in Rothwell.

Having previously visited both for takeaway and restaurant meals I was extremely disappointed with both our meal and service on New Years Eve. I called our order in at 6pm and was told it would be 25 minutes. I was there just before 6.25pm. It was jam packed in the waiting area. Customers who had booked tables were having to squeeze their way through. Our meal was finally ready at about 8pm! No apologies for my wasted time. Others had been waiting longer than me. To top it off some of the food had obviously been resting on heat and was dry and tasteless. I was going to keep it and take it back the next day but couldn’t be bothered to go back. The dogs had it! After having spent thousands of pounds here over the years I will give my money to a more deserving restaurant.

I would not normally comment about somebody else's review, but I feel that the review made by martella 1964 is unjust and completely contradictory with their review in August 19. We to were at the restaurant on Christmas eve and had made our booking weeks before, we also received a phone call confirming our booking which I thought was quite professional. We were sat in the same area which they were complaining about, yes it's in the bar area which accommodates smaller tables, the upper part of the restaurant was for bigger groups of people, this was quite obvious to anyone.Our evening was really lovely and the food was great as usual, the "scruffy" lady was not scruffy at all and was very attentive to all the 4 tables. We will be back " you have been "warned"

My partner and I have visited this restaurant previously and very kindly left positive reviews but only because we felt sorry for a tiny basic place with minimal staff. I am amazed that the place is still open. We received free drinks as a pay off and bribe on our next and last visit after showing the older women our positive review. We booked a table weeks ago for Christmas Eve. We received a telephone call at 9.20 PM several days ago which disturbed us to confirm that we were still coming. Very rude and unprofessional. I do not appreciate being bothered at home in this manner. We arrived on time on Christmas Eve and was met by a very scruffy woman who made not attempt to be smart for guests who are paying premium prices. Every body was smartly dressed on Christmas Eve apart from her! Despite giving us free drinks on our last visit and thanking us for our positive reviews ( which was really undeserved) she did not did even recognise us. No customer service for loyal customers obviously. We were offered a table by the bar and close to the front door with other diners coming and going around us all night. We do not expect to pay for over priced food and sit in freezing cold conditions with the front door opening and closing and other diners arriving and leaving and the bar staff carrying drinks next to us all night. We asked to be seated elsewhere and instead of looking for a table for us inside the restaurant the scruffy women ordered me to go and look myself! No customer care whatsoever! Despite visiting this place and leaving underserved positive reviews for food that was overpriced and tasted average at best we felt totally unwelcome and our loyalty and previous positive reviews were totally ignored. The older scruffy woman just cared that there were plenty of customers on Christmas Eve and we were treated like dirt. We decided not to pay premium prices and sit in the freezing cold with the bar staff and other customers walking past us all night and left in disgust. I told the unkept scruffy woman that would be leaving a review on trip advisor and she replied that’s fine as she did not care at all about loyal customers. She was very cocky because on Christmas Eve there were plenty of customers. We will never visit this place again and when the place is empty maybe the older scruffy woman will realise that she should treat loyal customers with care and respect. My partner and I left the place both dressed smart looking forward to a nice meal but we refused to be treated like dirt. We then had the dilemma of what

I would eat here again without thinking about it. The beef dish in the imperial set menu for 2 was superb and I could of just had a big bowl of it to my self. The staff are great and they make sure the door is closed quickly to stop the cold air coming in!

Just to say very many thanks for a delicious birthday meal last night. Great flavours, very nicely cooked and good service, up to your consistently high standards - much appreciated.

Rothwell is only a small town but is very fortunate in the number and quality of its restaurants. Probably the best of these is the Thai Garden, not the least because my wife and I love Thai cooking although it also serves Chinese and Malay dishes. The food is excellent and the surroundings comfortable and welcoming: it is possible to have a table where a private conversation can be held but is still surrounded by other diners. It also has a better-than-average wine list.

A small gathering of my family very much enjoyed an evening meal at the Thai Garden, in celebration of my birthday, on Tuesday this week.

I’ve been to this place several times and felt it was about time I wrote a review. We always go for the Sunday lunch where there is one sitting and there is no choice but a variety of dishes food come out. Starters first, then a range of mains with rice and then a plate with a few small dessert items on for each person for a set price. The food is always delicious. I’m a a vegetarian and they always bring me a separate variety of starters and mains so I don’t just have to have the one veggie dish from the meat eaters range! It is so thoughtful how they prepare separate dishes for veggies and vegans and makes the experience special for everyone. Talking of everyone my 92 year old grandmother LOVES coming here. She had never tasted Thai food before the age of 90 but now exclaims this is her favourite restaurant! The staff are also exemplary. So kind, thoughtful and attentive, not only to my grandmother but to all the family. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for authentic and excellent Thai food and for a lovely experience all round.

We were a party of 32 friends & relatives, including a couple of vegans & couple of gluten free eaters for the Sunday Buffet, we have been several times before and always had top service and exceptional food. It was marvellous once again.

We heard good things about this restaurant from friends in Rothwell so decided to try it for ourselves and we certainly weren't disappointed. The food was extremely tasty, the staff were friendly and there was a good choice of meals to have. Will 100% be returning!

We visited on a Wednesday evening for my (coeliac) sons 13th Birthday. The food was exceptional and the service the same, they could not have done more to accommodate our GF requirements ..... they even sang Happy Birthday. We will definitely he back.

Food as always is good. If they could work on the service to be more friendly and interactive rather than process driven. It would make the experience considerably more enjoyable. Eating is about the conviviality not about being part of a process.

Great food, fast service, very friendly staff. Not local but will be returning next time we are in the area.

What can I say ... a return visit for myself and taking my 90 year old mum and my friend ..we asked for a table at the bottom near the bar as mum has a walking stick and not too good on her legs ...

We went for a group meal yesterday evening and from the moment we arrived until leaving the service was great. There were 8 of us and the place was very busy, but we were looked after impeccably. It probably helped that 4 of us were local who use this restaurant regularly. I am not an expert on Thai food but it all tasted good and wasn't too spicy. I would certainly go again.

I womt come here again,very rude staff refuse to take negative feedback. Your prawn dish says grilled it come out looking like a omelette. I give you the feedback and you just say no it says in a wok. Then your waiter trys to taste the food which just looked pathetic.

Like another recent reviewer I've been quite shocked and surprised to read the negative reviews about this restaurant, as they certainly don't come across as the Thai Garden I know.

Having read a few of the recent detrimental reviews I cannot believe that we have been dining in the same restaurant! We have been coming to this wonderful place for over 20 years and in all that time we have never had a bad meal. The service has always been slick and professional. Joanna and Sam the owners, bend over backwards to welcome their customers and the food is superb. We eat in very good restaurants in many countries and this is still one of our favourite places. Over the years we have brought lots of friends and family and they have all loved it too.

Terrible food and service. We visited as a party of 5, the restaurant was not busy but the staff were insistent on rushing everyone out as quickly as possible. All of the food tasted of stale fish and was cold. The food is not freshly prepared either, it is frozen and then reheated, all of it was dry and tasteless. The glasses and cutlery are filthy too.

Love this place. Staff know me now. People come from from miles as the food, staff, atmosphere is fantastic. So worth a visit.

As a family we have been visiting Thai garden religiously for over 10 years. I am yet to find a restaurant that competes (bold statement). Any excuse, Thai garden.

My first time, won’t be my last!! Every dish was delicious... Service was good too. The one thing that could be better, is the seating. Felt like we were on top of others...

I visited here with friends recently and was very disappointed, with Thai being one of my favourite foods to eat and trying many restaurants I was not impressed, not what I call authentic Thai food having lived in Thailand for 5 years, staff were miserable and rude, I definitely won’t be returning.

Had a takeaway from here recently. It was terrible. Soggy rice, soggy noodles amd limp vegetables. In fact, all the dishes were completely tasteless. It was most disappointing as the restaurant was highly recommended by a friend, but we won't be eating from here again.

My friend and me decided to get a takeaway from Thai Garden as we'd heard great things about the place. It was not cheap £50 for two of us, but we were hungry and it was payday. I can onlu describe the food as terrible. The rice was slop, the crispy noodles were soggy and the vegetables were HUGELY overcooked with not a bite to any of them. Every dish was as if it had been watered down and was completely tasteless. It was like they had served us leftovers and just reheated in the microwave. Totally unacceptable. We telephone to complain, to be told their food is amazing and under no uncertain terms would a refund be given. Absolutely unacceptable. DO NOT get a takeaway from here, unless of course you like an extortionately overpriced plate of tasteless gruel.

Nice surroundings with miserable staff.The Sunday lunch was very poor value for money compared to other local Restaurants.The portions were small.

Was staying in Harrington, so its only a short drive to the restaurant. It was very busy for a Saturday night, I would recommend you book early. The décor is basic, but the welcome is warm. The food was average to good.

Second visit to thai garden after friends recommended I go back after a awful first meal. Well nothing has changed. Green curry was terrible, no chilli, I think it had cream in it, too much fish sauce. Honestly worst I've ever had. Satay skewers were no better than local Chinese. I asked for dim sum and got very rubbery pork dumplings. I really like thai food, but not here. Much prefer tong thai in Kettering. I cannot understand why this has such a high rating.

How do they do it? It’s always SO good, the food and the service. We have been coming for over 20 years and have never had a bad meal. It’s always superb. We eat in very good restaurants all over the world and this is still one of our favourites. Our friends tell us that the takeaways are wonderful too.

I recently had another great meal at the Thai Garden. As I typically visit on a Monday or Tuesday I don't have any issues getting a table or with the service. In fact they are happy for me to go at my own pace when eating and to enjoy my wine at my own pace. On this occasion I had the salt and pepper smoked chicken as a starter. Knowing I like spicy food, the dish came with extra chillies on top. For main I had the char sui with jasmine rice. The pork was beautifully cooked and very tender, making it a pleasure to eat. All of the food was washed down with a well-priced bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc (Oyster Bay, £17.50). Definitely recommend and will be back again soon.

All the food was served hot and very tasty. Don't eat a lot of Thai. Probably should try more. Would certainly eat here again.

Best oriental restaurant for miles, love it. Place of choice if we can get out without the kids. Great atmosphere. Love their banquets. Looking forward to our next visit

Why does this place have so many TripAdvisor stars? Portions were tiny, the crispy noodles were soggy and tasteless, the steamed fish was clearly not steamed with any aromatics - just had a so so sauce chucked on top before serving.

Booked a table for 13 people with a pram over a month in advance, we cancelled on the day of the booking. This was due to constant incoming calls from the restaurant on the day to try and change our time slot. As we could not do this they then rang again telling us we had to be gone by 8:30,our table was booked at 7. I don't understand how they expect a table of 13 to have ordered, eaten and have had a good time in an hour and a half. After that conversation came another one about how they do not accept prams in the restaurant!? Bearing in mind when we first booked they accepted the fact we had a pram and accomadated that we could sit at the front of the restaurant as there were steps at the back of the restaurant. So in the conversation about the pram on the day, they pretty much called us liars as they said we had never informed them of a pram. These calls ended when we finally told them we didn't want the table any longer, and to them, by their reaction, they simply did not care about the fact they just had a table of 13 cancel 6 hours before the booking. The only one good thing about the restaurant was that we didn't need to pay a deposit so no money lost.... Except for them. Not only did they lose out on a big table, or money, they lost out on 13 customers. I know that I cannot speak about the food or interior of the restaurant but I can say that to treat customers that way before even arriving (I understand even then it is not acceptable once arrived) is disgusting.

This is our local restaurant and visit fairly often, We are always given a warm welcome. I have never visited to find it has empty tables, as it is always busy, booking is advisable. Menu is varied although I personally like the drunken Prawns and the Flambé Chicken and always have a starter of crispy duck. It is very clean and the staff are excellent and vert helpful. I have enjoyed every meal we have had there, I found price wise it is mid to expensive. Thoroughly recommended.

I've eaten in this restauarant on about 6 occasions now. It never disappoints. The owners are always welcoming and the food is always consistantly good. The menu offers food from different countries, my favourite is normally Thai.

Been abroad for 10 years and we always found Thai Garden really good. What a disappointment. Starters of crispy lamb and garlic prawns were delicious but main coursres of musselman curry and Thai Green curry were really, really poor. In both cases the chicken was poor quality and over cooked and felt rubbery. The Green curry which should have been spicy was tasteless. Utterly tasteless. They do need to up their game but for us it is now too late.

I have lost count of how many times we have eaten at this superb restaurant. We are real foodies and eat in some of the very best restaurants but this one is up there with the greats and half the price. We have been coming here for well over 20 years with family and friends. It never disappoints

Without doubt the finest Thai restaurant In my experience.

South east Asia is one of favourite parts of the world, and have travelled right through the area: the food is just wonderful so imagine my delight when i move to a market town to discover the best Asian food right on my doorstep.

Despite being an avid traveller I would have to say that this is still the best restaurant in the world for me. It’s not Michelin star’d, it’s not high end cuisine, just bloody good food. We have eaten in here for nigh on 20 years and still can’t fault it.

At last I managed to get my old school friends to experience this wonderful restuarant.. visited on a Sunday lunch for their set menu ... wow .... the food was amazing .. everyone enjoyed it and loved the menu and new flavours ... would 100% revisit anytime ...

This was an off chance me and my friend come here. It was just one of those evenings that we had nothing to do so I asked him what sort of food do you fancy, He picked Thai. So this was our first choice. Service was amazing, and the food you couldn't fault it! so much to choose from and many different beverages also. I will definitely be coming back here.

We booked a table for 9 o’clock on Saturday 29th September to celebrate our 32nd Wedding anniversary.

Well I wanted to just go to my favourite Indian but my wife convinced me to go to the Thai Gardens instead. We have been here on many occasions over the years and was expecting it to be up to there normal good standard. We had our meal and was very disappointed the chicken Satay was tough and tasted like it had been re heated from after the week ended . So that went back and asked they removed it from the bill . My Penang curry was also tough and the curry sauce was thick and not that tasty as I had had previously . The bill came hand written on a a test off receipt with “ meals £40 ‘ “drinks £9”

I last came here with friends a few years ago and had been on about it to my partner ever since. Last night we dined here together and it was just as delicious as I remember! We were booked in for half an hour after opening and were warmly welcomed in to the restaurant. There were already people in when we arrived and it very quickly filled up - so I would suggest booking, rather than taking a chance! There were prawn crackers and a sweet chilli dip at the table for us on arrival, then we both had a starter and shared two mains and a side.... we could not finish our meal as there was just so much! We will definitely be back and my aim is to work my way through the menu!

We'd not been in the Thai Garden for several years but it was great to go back for my wife's birthday dinner party... The speed of service and quality of food was excellent and just as good as it has always been. We'll not leave it so long for our next visit, highly recommended.

Popped in for a late lunch and enjoyed it very much. Nicely cooked with good flavours and good quality house wine.

We have been going to this restaurant for approximately fifteen years on our annual visit to England. The food is always excellent, the service is always above average to good, and in the past we have come away happy and satisfied. We were there on August 1st, 2018 and got royally ripped off. The manageress insisted on charging us an extra £9 for prawn crackers without any prior warning that extra crackers were chargeable. She served me a substitute, smaller beer at an extortionist uplifted price. It just left a very bitter taste with us. The crowning glory was that she was unapologetic, aggressive, and borderline rude. GO THERE WITH A TIGHT HOLD ON YOUR WALLET AND ASK FOR ALL PRICES TO BE SPECIFIED BEFORE YOU ORDER.

We arrived at 8.15 as per instruction, as Thai Garden couldn't fit our party of four in earlier. Fair enough, but we didn't actually get to sit down until 8.40! It would have been nice to sit down on the settees provided, but a large party was already sat there. We were obliged to stand near the front door/bar getting in everyone's way, and generally feeling uncomfortable and self-conscious.

We booked a table to take some of our family who were visiting from Mexico. Our son in law who is Mexican wanted specific things that were not on the menu. Sam produced exactly what he wanted and he loved it.

Excellent, consistently good, authentic Asian fusion food. Staff very helpful and attentive. Food tasty and dishes very individual. Good value and would highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

My husband, sister in law and myself went here on the spur of the moment so had not booked.

We arrived late on Wednesday evening, shortly before closing time, and half-expected to be turned away as the last customers had just left. Quite the reverse - we were warmly welcomed by the cheerful staff and very well looked-after.

Been here a few times, service is great and the food tastes amazing. Always prompt service and friendly.

I dined with my partner here recently for the first time. The place was busy and to be honest I wasn’t especially impressed with the general decor and ambience of the place - the furnishings seem old and dated and the lay out (being on all them levels) rather cramped and unappealing.

We arrived shortly after opening and directed to a table and ordered drinks. There is plenty of free parking apart form Mondays when there is a market. Our food didn't take long to arrive and everything was very nice, hot, cooked well and tasty. The menu has a choice of thai, Malaysian and Chinese. We were the only diners so had the place to ourselves.

We absolutely love this restaurant. After 20 years of coming here we are never disappointed. Sam and Joanna run the most fantastic enterprise with superb food aided by Paul who is always also so welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend but you need to book!

Extensive menu and everything we had was full of taste. Obviously very popular in the area as it was pretty full just after opening. Would recommend to anyone.

Quality of food was delicious. We ordered a selection of dishes alongside the Imperial dinner for 2 and there was so much food.

My son chose this restaurant for his birthday meal. There was seven of us in total.

Although the food was ok the way we were rushed through our whole meal and then asked to leave the table ruined our night . We were there for a birthday celebration and after constantly topping up our wine glasses and pushing us into a second bottle the staff did not give us chance to drink it and told us to take it home with us , totally disgusted !!!

I rang a week in advance to book a table for 6 people for my birthday in the evening on a Friday night. The staff even rang me the morning of my booking to confirm we still wanted it which I thought was very organised! We were shown to our table and one member of staff which I assume is the owner was very polite, welcoming and friendly to us! We ordered our food as were having a lovely time until we started to see people rolling in waiting for a table. That’s when other staff started to rush us! Our food was practically thrown on the table and they were giving us looks as if to say “hurry up!” We finished our mains and no sooner than they had collected our dishes they threw the bill on the table without us even asking for it! We paid the bill but still had half a bottle of wine left when they said “you can take the wine home if you want to” which we didn’t want to do! A lady then asked another table next to us to leave and then came over to us and said “can I take back your table I have others waiting” - we were not impressed at all! Such a shame because the food was lovely but they clearly haven’t got a good booking system in place and staff aren’t friendly apart from that one man. Will not be visiting again!!!!

We visited this restaurant Friday 16th March. The food was acceptable but the customer service was diabolical. From the moment we arrived we were rushed. It was meant to be a lovely family occasion and it was totally and utterly spoilt by the staff and the unwelcome feeling we ALL felt. They were very quick to sell us another bottle of wine after the first but couldn’t afford us the decency of drinking it. We were asked to leave as they had another reservation and told we could take the wine home. Also this was the case with two other tables and they were equally as disgusted. We live in Rothwell and have eaten at many of the lovely restaurants here so I wouldn’t return here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of other places SO GIVE THIS A MISS.

Six of us visited this restaurant for my sisters birthday, having booked a table for 6.30pm. We arrived on time and ordered our starters which took a while to arrive. The food was nice but not outstanding. Half way through the meal we felt very forced to buy another bottle of wine after heavy persuasion from the waiter. We had taken a birthday cake to the restaurant and they served this for us but also seemed annoyed when we didn’t order desserts or coffee which left us feeling uncomfortable. We were still drinking our bottle of wine when the waiter said “you can take this bottle and drink it at home” as he wanted us out of the restaurant. There was another table of about 12 people who were celebrating a birthday too and the waiters said the same to them as asked them to leave as there were people waiting for the table. They had also taken a birthday cake and you could see the confusion on their faces as they were rushed out. The service seemed greedy and rushed the whole way through. Our bill was nearly £200 and I expect to be made to feel welcome for this but they just want you in and out as quickly as possible. It’s especially rude to make people leave the table when they are still eating and drinking something they purchased at the restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion as you won’t be treated well which ruined our evening. We did tell the waiter on the way out how we felt and he just ignored us, so the problem wasn’t even acknowledged. The food is ok, not the best Thai food I’ve ever had and expensive but the rude service ruins the experience. We’ll never visit again unfortunately.

We have lived in Corby for 6 months now and I was beginning to get withdrawal symptoms due to lack of a Thai food, but I have been saved. We went to the Thai Garden on Friday night and it was extremely busy, but they still managed to deliver good service and some great food. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening (except for the terrible weather) and will definitely go back.

Went with friends on a Saturday evening to see what everyone had been talking about. Wonderful food, lots of wonderful spices and different flavours. Service was prompt and friendly. Will be back again

Stumbled upon this place during a work trip, I have tried my fare share of Thai green curry around the world, I have to say this is by far the best I have ever eaten! The staff are just awesome! So friendly and trying to help so much! Hugely recommend this place

Like many companies my husband and his colleagues decided to opt for a January event rather than pre-christmas. We enjoyed an excellent evening with attentive staff and delicious food. This restaurant is deservedly popular and always busy. With several in the group being vegetarians it is great to find a restaurant that really caters for our tastes.

My husband and I try to go as often as we can sometimes once a week for a food treat, the food is sublime and just the best around, the service is impecible too, the staff are so friendly and welcoming i cannot recommend this place highly enough, if you dont go your are missing out.

We arrived in plenty of time and were immediately seated at a table for 4.

We booked a table at the Thai Garden for 2 adults and 2 teenagers as a treat before seeing in the new year with family. We had not been for about a year but the service and food was just as we remembered - perfect. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly and offered both the set new years menu and the a la carte menu. We went for the latter and every dish we had was superb. The only catch is that this quality has a price and the Thai Garden is definitely on the expensive side.

The second time we have visited this restaurant and again, were not disappointed, excellent friendly service and food. Cannot wait to return, when next travelling up country to visit family!

Enjoyed a great Christmas meal here. Quiet evening, as it was Monday. However, felt that the wonderful service we received was usual for this restaurant. A little pricey, but amazing flavours and textures. Lovely.

Went here for a Christmas party, we had a set meal and it ended up about £40 each including drinks but most of us were drinking water, I thought it was quite pricey but it was good food.

Food here is fantastic! The environment is clean, staff friendly and the best prawn crackers I have ever tasted. It is expensive but you get what you pay for!

We have had many take aways in the past and been happy but now the quality of the food has gone down ,the satay sticks are soggy and far too much peanut butter .

What can I say about this restaurant that hasn’t been said already! We have been regulars here for over 20 years. It is simply wonderful! We take friends and then they return and bring more friends!! A big thank you to Sam and Joanne and also to the wonderful Paul who is always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The rest of the staff are also extremely polite and helpful.

Went here for a meal one Sunday evening with an old school friend. We looked at the menu and thought we would give it a try. £17.50 for a set menu. This consisted of three starters and three main dishes. It meant we did not have to choose one dish and could try dishes that we would not normally pick! The owner was also very chatty and informative and made the whole meal a great experience with very good food. Cannot comment on the deserts as too full to try!If I am back in Rothwell again, I would go back again!

6.30 pm Saturday and the place was full , save a table for 2 , so we got seated in 5 mins . Enjoyed a lovely meal .

I have been here a few times now,and every time has been a pleasure. The staff make you feel very welcome and are lovely,it has a lovely atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. The food is absolutely amazing. A great evening to be had here. Can’t wait to come again....

We arrived at the restaurant having not booked a table. The waiter asked if we had booked and we said no, he then took us to a table. We ordered drinks and sat chatting when a party of 4 people came in, how everyone reacted we obviously had their table. Our whole experience was awful, they took our food order and it was cooked within minutes, not a problem but the young male waiter made rude comments and the food was practically thrown on the table. We were not made to feel welcome. The food was lovely, just the service we received was unacceptable. Sadly nice restaurant spoiled by rude staff. No revisit ever!!!
