Did a trip advisor search for Thai in Bexhill and found this place and what a find ! The staff were very professional and all food and drink arrived promptly. The food was delicious and the wine was good too. The place was fully booked and we must have got the last table as booked a few hours before. (Wednesday night) All excellent and will definitely be going back.

Totally brilliant authentic Thai restaurant in Bexhill……aren’t we lucky to have such a gem. We went as a group of four and the food was wonderful. The waitress (? Owner) was authoritative, but helpful and knowledgeable, advising us on several dishes…….all of which were superb. We would definitely recommend Thai Chava to anyone looking for a quality, good value meal in Bexhill. It will certainly be our “go to” Thai restaurant now.

This is my go to restaurant, as I am a huge fan of red and green curries. Been frequenting for 3 years now; quality has never missed a beat. Being a little off the traditional reservation, ate their on Christmas Day. It was fully booked. Fabulous food, clean and lots of space between tables.

Have been coming for over a year now and the food never disappoints. The food is fresh well prepared and fragrant. All ways hot . You know you’re in a good place when the chef puts in the attention to detail with the vegetables. My kids love the salt & pepper squid and prawns . And the best pad Thai . Would love to see a pho or a boat noodle soup on the menu with winter coming .

On a one night stopover in Bexhill we took a punt on this Thai restaurant. Really enjoyed it. Great tasting food, attentive waitress, fast service, good value too! Highly recommended.

I have been using this Restaurant since it opened . The waitress is actually very funny ,her sarcasm is in humour not rudeness & we often chuckle at her comments and she smiles at us cheekily. She works very hard on her own all night & provides a good service . .The food is fabulous, I used to live in Thailand and I am used to Thai food. I know it’s missing some authentic Thai veg but we aren’t always able to buy these items here in Sussex and I believe they do the best they can. The food is never anything but excellent in our opinion. It’s our favourite restaurant in bexhill .

The best Thai food I've had outside Thailand. Perhaps some oriental background music instead of pop would enhance the atmosphere. There were limited alcohol free options. No alcohol free lager for our designated driver.

Took my youngest son out for a meal for his 19th birthday. His first Thai meal, our first at Thai Chava. Hugely impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. Very tasty starter, then I had the green curry which was perfect and my wife and son had different noodle dishes. Fragrant, aromatic and tasty - everything you could ask for. A lovely experience. Can't recommend it enough.

What a great meal, food was excellent as was the service (more about that later). We started with dumplings, corn fritters and salt and pepper squid, all fantastic especially the squid. For mains my wife had panang curry, sticky rice and stir fried green vegetables, I had basil and chilli stir fry with chicken and boiled rice. Portion sizes were generous and quality was superb. The service was second to none as the waitress was by herself, so a little wait was to be expected. I am on crutches and she went out of her way to assist me even moving a chair outside for me to sit on whilst i waited for my lift. Truly a great experience we will be back as the food was probably the best Thai food in the area.

The most delicious meal at a very reasonable price. Service was great despite there being only one waitress for the whole restaurant! The priority was on serving the customers so there was one table stacked with all the dirty dishes, it would have been nicer if they were cleared but a small inconvenience by comparison to the meal we experienced.

Food was amazing As always ,felt uncomfortable with our waitress . Felt she didn't want us there. Never smiled tried to speak with her but she was very stiff necked. She did a job professionally.

Just been to this restaurant and had to write a review as soon as I got home. Really great and helpful waitress who on her own was really attentive checked for any allergies etc. Food from starter to main was just amazing honestly. If you try this place you won't be disappointed it is just top class. The biggest shock was the bill, all four of us couldn't believe how reasonable it was. I cannot wait to go back.

The single waitress couldn't raise a smile ( I thought Thailand was the Land of Smiles?!)...didn't seem to really want us there, warned the food would be slow and had to consult her diary before seating us at table in this small simple restaurant. So not a good start. My wife who is Thai asked for some Nam Pla dipping sauce, the waitress again, not keen, apparently the locals don't like the spicy smell? Having said all that things did change...we didn't have to wait long for our food, the portions were generous in size and the quality of the food was great! The nam pla sauce arrived and we both enjoyed our meal. I did feel a bit sorry for the waitress, she was on her own trying to juggle everything including takeaways. Ideally she needs someone to help her with a friendly welcoming smile! So I would recommend this restaurant though will not return.

Used this Thai restaurant a few times when staying at The Driftwood hotel. I always ring and book a week in advance as it seems quite busy and not a very big restaurant. Food has always been amazing, the waitress takes the time to read your order back to you to ensure it’s correct. Only one waitress serving food and drinks, taking orders and handing out takeaway orders, but works incredibly hard. Will definitely return again in our next stay in Bexhill

Absolutely lovely restaurant. One of our favourite restaurants and takeaways. The food is so good. They ask upfront if you have any allergies or food intolerances. The menu has certain allergens highlighted and for allergens that aren’t covered there they have an allergen book. They then confirm if everything is ok when you order which is very reassuring. By taking the lead, they make sure that you aren’t made to feel difficult at any point. I can’t have dairy and I’ve been here with a coeliac and both of us commented on what a fantastic (and unusual) experience it is. It’s how it should be - you go out to relax and enjoy yourself.

Nice fresh food But the waitress was so rude her attitude was terrible Once when asked to clarify the menu and again when asked for 2 scoops of ice cream instead of one even though we were prepared to pay extra Her loss -we are generous tippers if we receive good service

The food is the best Thai food around for miles. I live in Hastings and even go there for take aways, because apart from the quality, Thai Chava is best value for money. Ok, there have been comments about the waitress, she is a bit 'Basil Fawlty', but we like her, because she is very efficient and committed to serving everyone, not just you, and also because the food is so good it's easy to ignore. I say, if you love Thai food, go there!

Ordered takeaway from Thai Chava, have to order early as they have only limited slots. Food, as usual, was excellent well cooked good portions and great value. Have eaten at the restaurant in the past and whether you eat in or take away, you can't fault the quality. Its not the most luxurious of surroundings but clean and functional. Friendly staff and great service.

Beautiful cooked food with an attentive host .

I was very disappointed when I ordered a vegetable Thai curry to find that most of the vegetables were 'English', mainly chunks of squash/pumpkin and broccoli, when I thought I would get an authentic Thai meal with Thai/oriental vegetables. Previously on another occasion I had a Thai prawn curry which contained only 6 prawns for nearly £10 (takeaway price) so I don't find this restaurant very good value.

Having visited many Thai Restaurants I came across this small restaurant in Bexhill. What a find. Very attentive service where your choices were read back to you - just to make sure. When the same waitress came back with the freshly cooked starters she explained the best way of eating, for example, the Dim Sum with the sauce etc. Nice touch. Food was excellent on both courses, service was first class and the best value for money Thai I think I have ver had. I live 90 minutes away but will be back, it really is that good.

I have been going to Thai Chava for a year now. I have tried everything on the menu, been with friends and had a birthday party there. I have never had a bad meal and in my opinion this is one of the best restaurants...

Lovely attentive lady who served us, very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was very tasty, well presented and good portion size. We really enjoyed our meal thank you. Well worth a visit.

Great food, But take-away orders were the priority and it took over 2 hours to get our food. We were in at 5:50 pm, only 1 other table occupied, and our order was taken at 6:20 pm. Our starters came at 6:45, and mains at 7:30. We had booked early as we were going to see Steve Hackett at 7:45

Very nice food. Not much choice of dessert as many items not available. Don't sit in window as door doesn't shut properly and don't sit near back as have doors open ro courtyard causing cold air around your legs!

Very good meal, well presented. Initially thought the waitress was quite surly but realized that she more concerned about serving food and drinks than engaging in polite tittle tattle. RUDE WAITRESS. -We went to this restaurant as we were visiting Bexhill on a Sunday evening. The only Thai Restaurant open and was 4.7 stars. Already hungry and been craving for thai food we went in. Waited 5 minutes. The only waitress was in the counter doing something and literally saw us coming in but didnt even bother to offer us table. Restaurant was not busy and there was only 1 table occupied. We approached her and asked if she can give us a table for 4 as my other friend is coming. Directed us to our table, 3 of us. Gave us the menu and informed her that we are ready to order and she said "Are you not going to wait for the other one?" I said its alright she's not coming now. She smirked and said "why telling me its table for four!" Then I apologized and said shes not coming sorry" I don't know what's her issue as there's just 2 occupied tables there. Quiet Sunday night. She was tussing and doing this head movement. Sarcastic. Passive-aggresive. Appailing and miserable thai waitress. We ordered and the look on her face while serving us was so dreadful. The food was fantastic but customer service matters. I dont know if she's the owner but I hope they'll do something about it. She's so rude. I didnt finish my food and felt uncomfortable. This may very well be the best Thai restaurant I've been to! The waitress was very attentive and helpful and the food...wow the food is just to die for! We were a group of 5 people and we were all incredibly happy with the food and the service. This is now my new favourite place to go for a treat. YUM!

This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem in Bexhill. I have eaten in hundreds of different thai restaurants over the years and the food and service at Chava beats them all. Without fail the best Thai food I have eaten in the UK. I cannot believe somewhere as good as this was right on my doorstep and I didn't even know about it. Would highly recommend and will be back next time I want a Thai dinner. Amazing!

I'm always nervous about eating Thai food, I've found it can be very hit and miss. Fortunately Thai Chava was a hit. The green curry is one of the best meals I have ever had. Definitely will be coming back when in Bexhill again.

Delightful, compact Restaurant, serving genuine Thai Food. Menu has good selection of Meals, with recommendations as to which Beverages compliment each Dish. Nice Patio Garden at rear, to Drink or Smoke, if req'd. Slight misunderstanding on entry, as the Waitress mentioned something about 'Drunken not allowed", which at 1st we thought was aimed at us. But it turns out there's a Dish called 'Drunken Noodles' & we were being informed that the Dish was not being served at that time. (PS. I would Rate this 4 x Stars, but the Star Rating Table isn't working properly)

Catered for my friend who is gluten free The menu dipicts everything you need to k ow about the dishes ! They taste amazing I had the prawn pad Thai and rib starter ! i thought —-something different and try this place for some Thai food. Alas i did not get as far as ordering, as the unfriendly. rude and aggressive woman serving was a liability. She ordered me to sit near the door which remained ajar as they don't seem to have fixed the grotty hinge - operated entry door. i informed this so called waitress that i wished to be seated away from the door. She glared and disappeared out the back… she came back after some time to clean the table and exclaimed that she needed to clean the table, in a bonkers manner. Basil Fawlty —- but as a waitress. Additionally glaring some more. With that i got up - put the menu on the table and walked out. this place is a shabby, tacky looking and unfriendly excuse for a restaurant… what a travesty of service.i noticed an earlier review - picked up on this self same rudeness…Can you give zero??

The waitress was rude. When we entered she said the restaurant was full and couldn't take any more people for dining in. My friend said we are guests in the next door apartment so can order take away. Her response was "I don't care where you are staying". I took exception to this and said those words were unnecessary to which she replied "Are you going to place an order or keep complaining , I don't have time other people are waiting". At this point we simply walked out!

Ate at this wonderful little restaurant last night, what a delight it was every mouthful was delicious and the service was spot on super friendly and helpful! We love our Thai food after travelling there and the kind waitress chatted to us about how to make some of these lovely dishes at home and try to replicate the lovely meal we had! Nice atmosphere inside felt very safe too with Covid practices. If your a local or staying in the area this place is definitely worth a visit.

Four of us visited the restaurant for the first time after having booked the week before. We ordered one set menu and a separate mixed starter and mains. The waitress explained what we were eating and which sauce to dip.The food was excellent with a bit of heat and the cost for 4 with a bottle of wine and sparkling water was very reasonable.Take aways were popular and they were busy. I don't think they deliver but it would be worth picking up. We'll definitely go again or order a take away.

Normally have takeaway but decided to eat in the restaurant with friends. Great tasting meal but the service was no so great. Only 1 waitress serving the whole restaurant. She was extremely rude when taking our order and stood rolling her eyes. When we mentioned that she was being rude she ignored the comment. Would have been a pleasant evening if she could have been polite.

We visited Thai Chava Friday evening and it was perfect. The loveliest little Thai restaurant. Recommend the duck spring rolls to start. For mains we had Cashew nut with beef and Red Thai curry and finished the lot!Big generous portions.The service was brilliant and the lady serving us could not have done more to make sure we had a lovely meal and service. If your after a Thai make sure you visit!

We just dropped in here on an off chance not knowing anything about the restaurant however it was small, but with beautifully laid tables and welcoming. The food was fabulous and the waitress was so lovely and was working so hard. Being on her own did mean you had to wait a while for your food but it was worth it. We had a set menu which was good value.

Food tasted great! From the starter up till the mains. The ambience is rather nice as well; simple yet not boring! Overall, great place!

The takeaway prawn curry I had last month had 6 prawns in it which I thought was poor value but the noodle dish last week only had FOUR prawns in it! also not a full container of noodles so although it was supposed to be a main course it was quite a small meal and I was still hungry, (and I do not have a big appetite). It was tasty but nothing special. I do not recommend it as good value for money.

Excellent food and a great choice of dishes plus great value set menus. The service is not the quickest but this just adds the the whole experience. This is a great place for a relax meal with friends and enjoy a first class meal.

Very unprofessional customer service!! The waitress was so rude when I came in and asked if I could order for take-away. Even the chef was not be able to make more orders that evening, the waitress should explain politely to the clients. However, she kept a disrespectful behaviour and language with me as a new client. I feel terrible for that restaurant with (maybe) a quality food but very bad image due to their waitress.

I ordered a takeaway Thai prawn red curry with sticky rice. Delicious flavour,great quick service. I’m sure it did my cold I had at the time a world of good! Will definitely be returning next Month when I am back for work.

We ordered a selection of starters to share because that’s our favourite way to go, but we are now tempted to delve deeper into the menu of this delightful Thai diner. We had the chicken satay (sweetly spicy), salt and pepper prawns (light and luscious), ribs (saucily succulent) and the prawn crackers (crunchily crisp). Thorough enjoyed our Friday night treats and will now be adding the Thai Chava to our Local Take Away Rosta.

We live in beckley a good 30 minutes from this amazing authentic Thai restaurant going above and beyond during this awful time, as a head chef in a restaurant I know how tough these times are , well worth the drive and still piping hot when we got home. The ingredients dance on your tounge, incredibly well balanced. First class food at very affordable prices with excellent customer service.Be proud of yourselves.
