After a faux pas last Saturday (9th) my party of six ended up there. What amazing tasty food. Fantastic atmosphere and service. Best Thai food ever🥳

It’s unfortunate that we have such a good Thai near us, which I set the standards by. The meal was ok. The sauce with the pad Thai tasted a little too much like bbq sauce and the green curry sauce was more watery than I’ve been used to. As per previous comments the staff seemed like lovely people.

Last minute meal. Had the tum yum soup with tiger prawns to start, a first for me, was tasty & filling. Panang chicken curry main, again loads of chicken & tasty. My son had duck red curry which was fab. Friendly place & great wine. Will be back Huw. Diolch

Aroy mak mak! So delicious and authentic! Having lived several years in Thailand, I struggle to find authentic food outside of the Kingdom (of Thailand)… Now I know where to go when Thai food nostalgia becomes unbearable! Congrats to the Chefs and to the service staff!

I recently visited the Thai bach for a date night. We were sat in the window and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Even though it’s a small restaurant is has everything you need for a lovely meal. Fresh food cooked by experts but there’s a family run feel about the place. We started with squid and spring rolls which were both hot and served with sweet chilli sauce. Then we had the red Thai curry and the pad Thai. Both were hot and very tasty. The only thing I would say is that the ‘salad’ on each serving of the meal was dry, half a spoonful and quite honestly just a little bit unnecessary. For what we had it was an ok price but would expect a tad more perhaps for the money. All in all, a good meal

Booking made easy by the restaurant. Rang yesterday and they worked with me to find a slot for my group of five. The service and friendliness of staff was first class. We were visiting our daughter and her partner for the weekend in Swansea and searched Tripadvisor for Thai restaurants. As we were going to watch “Six” at the Arena we needed a table that was available around 5pm. We decided to try Thai Bach. It was a fantastic experience. Don’t get me wrong not fancy or posh but just fantastic authentic food and service. The kitchen is open to view and everything cooked to order. The greeting was fantastic as were the kitchen and front of house staff. All four of us would recommend Thai Bach without hesitation and we will return again when we are next in Swansea. Thank you Thai Bach.

After resolving a bit of confusion regarding what we actually ordered, we had pork dim sum, red curry with tofu and pad thai with prawns. Both were very tasty.

Excellent service, very polite and helpful staff. The menu has a wide range of both meat and vegetarian dishes. The dishes served were very tasty and hot, you can request making the dish milder if you choose to but I like my chilli's. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Thai restaurant in Swansea area

We have dined here before and as with the previous visit everything was great the staff the food and the place itself,. If you are a lover of authentic Thai food then you will love this place i wont mention the food selection because choice is an individual thing but whatever you choice im sure you will be happy.

Our first time visiting Thai Bach in nearly 6 years (when it was our favourite restaurant as students!), and delighted that it's still as good as ever. Great food and really reasonably priced. Couldn't recommend it enough😊

Enjoyed our meals. Starter of mushroom soup was fresh tasty, spicy and delicious. The spicy thai salad with beef also delish. The other half had minced chicken sesame toast and chicken sweet n sour pad dish. Nice drinks and service. Will be going back .....

A true gem of a Thai restaurant in Swansea tucked on the corner of a trendy little part of the city called the Uplands and near to the Brangwyn Hall. We were greeted by Huw the charming owner who couldn’t have been more accommodating help make our Sunday evening it was nicely busy with a great ambiance , it’s a lovely little cafe/ restaurant very much like those we have been to in Bangkok . Having been to Thailand many times we have to say this was the best Thai food we have eaten in a long time . We have lots of choice of Thai restaurants in London where we live , but we were delighted about how authentic this place and food is. The ladies cooking were fabulous so friendly and as it’s an open kitchen it was all spick and span, the food they delivered was simply superb well balanced and full of flavour . Satay fab, minced chicken on toast instead of the usual prawn mmm Yummy, The Prawn tempura stunning , we can highly recommend the Pad Thai , The Green And Panang curry and Thai salad AMAZING . You won’t be disappointed if eating here .We will definitely be back Thank you Huw 💙and your wonderful ladies ❤️

A simply fabulous Thai restaurant in the Uplands Swansea not far from the Brangwyn Hall , the area is quite trendy with some nice little independent shops , cafes and restaurants . Huw the owner is utterly charming and most accommodating. We booked for a Sunday evening which in Wales to get food is a feat unto itself most places only do lunch !! The restaurant had a nice smattering of customers and a lovely atmosphere , the Thai ladies at the open kitchen were delightful and the food they delivered was simply superb . The starters which included Satay , Prawn tempura and minced chicken on toast were all lovely and plentiful with nice little traditional dips. We can highly recommend the Penang curry , Red curry , the amazing Pad Thai and the spicy salad OMG , these meals all had lots of flavour and soooo tasty … this restaurant took us back to our many holidays in Thailand our happy place. Thank you Huw and your beautiful fun hardworking ladies for a fabulous evening . We will be back …. So to anyone coming to Mumbles or in this area this is a must ❤️ you won’t be disappointed.

Dobre jakościowo jedzenie. Pomimo że restauracja otwarta była od 17.00 zostaliśmy zaproszeni do środka około 16.25. Drzwi były otwarte, nikt nas nie wyprosił. Obsługa szybka. Czekaliśmy bardzo krótko na wszystkie dania. Polecam!!!

My sincere compliments to Thai Bach from excellent customer service to amazing food. I organised our work Xmas meal and communication with the restaurant was excellent from booking to pre-orders to unforeseen changes etc. The food was outstanding and everyone on the team really enjoyed their meal. We had some unexpected late comers and the staff were quick to accommodate this and get the late ordered meals out promptly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples, families or larger groups.

Down in Swansea for the weekend from London and this place was 5 minutes from our hotel. It is not upmarket and in some respects more a cafe than a restaurant but the food and service are excellent and prices reasonable. It was busy so probably best to book . Owner is welsh but rest of the staff are Thai and all are very friendly. Will definitely return next time we are down here in January.

Really lovely food - delicious with big portions and very reasonably priced. Food was freshly made and hot out the kitchen AND impressively all served at the same time! it did take a little bit longer for food to come than previous visits ( still within normal waiting times) but this was because we were a large group of 9 people (I have been previously in groups of 2-4). The staff were very lovely and were able to recommend and advise us regarding the different menu options. Will definitely be returning!

This place is an absolute gem, we visited last night with family and travelled half hr to experience such great food. Unfortunately myself and my wife are not local and live in London, but if this was close to me then I would never leave. We had the Pork Penang and Chicken Pad Gra Prow and they were both amazing. A must if you can get a table or close english for takeaway.

Thai Bach found us a table at last minute when another nearby restaurant let us down. It was near closing time and they seemed rushed off their feet so it was very kind of them to do this. What to say about the food though... Absolutely DELICIOUS! The only mistake we made was ordering too many starters so we couldn't finish our mains. The waitress kindly offered to let us take it home in a doggy bag though. Incredibly friendly service from all the staff we spoke to. Its unlikely that we will be back in Swansea anytime soon but we will almost certainly come back here if we ever do. Thank you!!!

Stumbled across this gem of a Thai place in Swansea on holiday by chance. Ordered pad thai, panang duck and tong gad gai (tong yum with coconut milk) - all were authentic and mouth-wateringly sensational. The only slight letdown was the starter, tempura squid, for which the batter was thick and we taste little squid. Otherwise, the main dishes are fab!

A menu of classic Thai dishes, everything I ordered was cooked well, served quickly and piping hot.....Will definitely return and would recommend.

Nice but a little too spicy really to allow the other flavours to shine. Maybe some heat direction etc on the menu. No discount for takeaway. €12 was too much.

In these times when it is impossible to go out for a meal the take away is a welcome release from home cooking (however good it might be). So we decided to get a Thai and as we had been to Thai Bach previously and were reasonably impressed with the food and service thought we would try their take away service. The food was good in terms of taste - average in terms of quantity - and a complete joke in terms of price. There was no reduction against the in house menu for collections and a green chicken curry which would normally cost me at most £8 (including coconut rice) from my normal, very good Thai cost me £11.50. So a meal of 3 dishes and a single starter was £39.50 which if I was eating in would be more than acceptable but which I felt for a take away was appalling. If the food had been either exceptional or of a large quantity then maybe I would now be talking about the food but it wasn't which is why my review is focusing on the price. Lockdown as we know is extremely difficult and take away food is, as I said, a welcome release but not when the price does not reflect the reduced service level. Please get your act together.

I highly recommend this little restaurant. All starters and mains sampled were outstanding. The freshest ingredients! The house wine was actually a lovely bottle too. Cannot wait to return when restrictions are lifted. This will be a regular haunt for us and have recommended to lots of family & friends.

The most authentic Thai food I've had in the UK since I visited Thailand when I was 18 in 2017. The food is fantastic and the hospitality is lovely. Great pricing especially given the portion sizes. If you like Thai food you will not regret eating here.

My husband chose The Thai Bach for a birthday meal with friends, we'd never been before but we will definitely return. Food is the best authentic food we've tasted outside of Thailand, panang curry was delicious as was their spicey salad, fragrant, fresh and full of chilli, fish sauce and coriander. The welcome is warm and service is very good, love that you can see the ladies cooking and everything served was piping hot.. cannot wait to return!

I genuinely hate leaving negative reviews, but if the food is rubbish, what more is a restaurant meant to do? You have one job!Sadly, a recent visit left a horrible taste in my mouth (literally). The chap serving didn't speak any english, and looked like a trafficked slave. The other chap seemed to be the owner but he didn't look he could couple with the demand and the icing on the cake was that the food was the worst thai food I've ever eaten, and believe me, I've had few. My only reason for leaving these views are that I hope no one else has the misfortune of going here when there are so many other nice places in the vicinity. Way overpriced for what you get in terms of quality (or lack of it).
