Great food in a lovely setting 02/04/24 . Staff very friendly and attentive. Can honestly say one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to.

Ordered takeaway and collected. Very suprised by theexpensive prices as 4 items came to nearly £70. The portions were quite small and the mixed starters looked as if they came from a party box at Iceland.

I first visited in June & after was sent a voucher for a free bottle of wine on the next visit. I visited again last night only to be told they wouldn’t accept the voucher! I was only given it 2 weeks ago & it clearly says valid for 1 month! Spent £119 and still refused the voucher. Surely this is false advertising luring in customers with vouchers then declining them. I have sent two emails to complain - no response so far!

Good set lunch menu, reasonably priced at £14.95 for two courses. Spring rolls for starter were heartily sized and tasty. Tempura vegetables likewise. Main courses, pad thai king prawns were lovely and properly cooked. Sweet and sour chicken an odd inclusion for a thai restaurant but very tasty and recommended. Green thai curry was great tasting but minuscule in size and therefore disappointing. All meals and courses beautifully presented. Service OK, a little inattentive, had to repeatedly chase, but when present were friendly and engaging.

My husband and I went for lunch to the restaurant for my birthday. We have been before with another couple, some time ago and we loved it. This time, we felt the service wasn't up to scratch, given the prices they charge and asked for the 10% service charge to be removed. The reasons are as follows: 1) rather than being led to our table, the young waitress just pointed and said "you're in there" 2) our cutlery was just dropped onto the table, not put down gently 3) the table next to us (3 people) - the waitress cleared their plates whilst one lady was still eating 4) then brought their mains, whilst the lady was still eating - we commented on this and they agreed it wasn't professional. 4) my husband's Thai green curry was obviously not made fresh. The sauce with the veg in it was tasty but they had just added cooked chicken to the sauce, so it was tasteless and for the price he was disappointed. 5) when we got the bill for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 small lager and a coke, it was £88 including the 10%, so as that was removed, it was £80 for lunch! I really don't mind paying for good food but that was very expensive for what we had and won't be returning.

Went to celebrate a family birthday and it was amazing as always. Attentive staff, good quality food, good size portions, nice welcoming atmosphere! Nothing was too much trouble.

Great food and prompt service. Recommended by family and lived up to the excellent reviews. My rating of 4 reflects the one thing that was not to our particular preference in that the sticky rice came beautifully packaged & steaming hot but was so sticky that it was too heavy.

This is an excellent Thai restaurant. Four of us ate there, each ordering different starters and different main dishes. We all agreed our meals were really tasty. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant is fairly small so probably best to book at busy times.

We ordered a takeaway from Thai Terre East Dean for a second chance after a poor experience on a previous occasion and I am sorry to say I won't be ordering from here ever again. The food is expensive and mediocre. Duck with tamarind sauce was full of pineapple which is not mentioned on the description, Garlic /Kratiem Prik Thai chicken was tasteless and anaemic looking and the rice was all stuck together. I have not had a reply from my email regarding my comments but nothing so far which I feel is unacceptable. It is such a shame that we won't be ordering ever again from this establishment - we really wanted to like it as it is so convenient!

This was a 70th birthday celebration but was sadly a poor choice of venue. We arrived at 7.05pm and were promptly shown to our booked table. The waitress took our order and our drinks were delivered quickly. From there it all went down hill quickly. We waited for 1 hour 5 minutes and were about to cancel the meal when a waitress showed up with our starter platter, apologised fir the delay stating "we are very busy with take aways!!!". We found that incredible that the restaurant prioritises take away customers over booked in dining customers. The food itself was mediocre, tasting rather like a cheap chinese takeaway. We didn't dare go for a sweet in case we had another 1 hour wait!!! In all, I would certainly not recommend it for a special occasion nor if you want decent quality Thai food.

Visited a few days after indoor eating was allowed again. Screens between tables but this in no way diminished the experience. Staff friendly & welcoming. Food really good. Amazing how Thai restaurants have replaced Chinese restaurants in the smallest of towns/villages! Thai Terre is nicely decorated with many lovely orchids, has attentive wait staff, and serves solid Thai dishes. It certainly gives an option to pub food in East Dean.
