Terra Nostra in Blackpool

Dined here a few times after being highly recommended by Mark and Rebbeca, owners of the The Beaucliffe b and b in Blackpool. Wasn't disappointed, food was absolutely stunning and great service, can't wait until our next visit in August. Highly recommend.

Pizza was under cooked and sloppy in the middle, The chicken was not very tender , the sauce on a good note was very nice. Will not be going back in a hurry.

Back in town after decades away and was left looking for somewhere not awful. Stumbles across this place and intrigued by the steamy windows. They were busy but managed to squeeze us in. Well!! Delicious! Attentive! And would be £5 a dish dearer in my part of Cheshire ! Mind blown!

Booked for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere was good and the food was too, except for the Risotto Marinara, as the rice was undercooked and the grains were hard in the middle. It wasn’t edible. No-one came to ask about our meal until the plates were collected and on noticing that the Marinara had hardly been touched, I was asked if all had been ok. I mentioned that the rice wasn’t cooked and the waitress went to get the manager. His manner was rude and abrupt and he made me feel very uncomfortable for daring to mention that the rice wasn’t fully cooked. After arguing with me that the rice was cooked fully, he asked if I wanted another, but everyone in our party had finished their meals, so it wasn’t appropriate. The attitude and manner of the manager, who made me feel awful for mentioning that there had been an issue with my meal, spoiled the evening for me and marred what, apart from the under-cooked risotto rice, had otherwise been a really nice meal. Despite the majority of the meal being really good, being made to feel so uncomfortable by the manager when mentioning an issue, has made me think twice about booking there again.

Been here a few times now. Absolutely love everything about it and the price for the set menus is a bargain

We have been here many time's, it is still one of my favourite places to eat.

This has been our 'go-to' spot for a meal on our annual run up to Blackpool Illuminations for years now, mainly because of its quality food. That family 'treat' dates back to when it was half the size it is now and is an even more special occasion these days with fewer opportunities for us all to be together. As it's a deservedly popular destination, we always make a point of booking and we arrived at the appointed time for this latest visit to find it packed and greeted with the words 'not be long'. Twenty minutes later, we were finally shown to a table and when we queried the length of the wait, it seemed our booking was pointless, as it appeared to count no more than walk-ins ('we have been busy'). The food was as good as ever, but that wait - in the doorway as there was nowhere else available - sadly reduced the experience to no more than average. In decades of dining out all over the country and beyond, it was by far the longest wait we had ever experienced after booking, and blew away our long-held belief that a reservation meant a table was reserved, not the start of a wait for one to become available. If this is now the norm, perhaps when Terra Nostra was extended, a proper waiting area should have been included.

The food was good, but there were no gender inclusive washrooms.

Christmas eve amazing food, best lobster ravioli, service was top notch 👌 nothing to much trouble, thanks Max & team.

Good family run Italian restaurant providing excellent food and service in Bispham tram to and from Blackpool or Norbreckcastle hotel

Although we both love Italian food we find that the prices charged by many restaurant’s extortionate and unjustifiable. We were therefore pleasantly surprised when we viewed The Terra Nostra menu online and decided to give it a try. The welcome on arrival was warm and friendly and the service throughout our meal was very efficient. I opted for the Tagliatelle Carbonara which I can honestly say is one of the best I’ve ever tasted with plenty of cream and Parmesan cheese with a generous portion size. Priced at £11.95 it was excellent value for money. The restaurant certainly deserves its high placing on Trip Advisor and we would have no hesitation in recommending Terra Nostra to potential diners.

Usually can't recommend this place highly enough which is why we booked for a family meal to celebrate our little girls birthday. On arrival we were ushered through Sat down and within 5 minutes came to take our food order. We explained that with 5 children we would need a few minutes more, the waiter stood over us whilst we selected from their menu leaving us feeling rushed to order. The food was nice as usual but again felt very rushed. The service in-between food was sparse as we had to flag someone down to ask for more drinks. After our meal we asked for the cake for our little girl, it was brought out nicely with a sing song but once left on the table we had to find our own plates and spoons and didn't see another server after this despite all the adults wanting to order another round of drinks. The girl came over and began wiping and resetting our table so pressumed that this was our sign to leave so asked for the bill. The bill was brought and the girl continued wiping down the table, moving our belongings off it as she went. Very disappointed given how good this place has been in the past. Put a bit of a dampner on what should have been a nice evening with family.

A busy Saturday evening in November. The staff were welcoming and found us a table. The food was amazing and the wine choice ‘Villa diana montepulciano d’Abruzzo’ was exceptional. I was surprised though that I wasn’t asked to test the wine once uncorked at the table. The Caprese Salad was lovely however it had unnecessary salad underneath the classic & simple ‘Caprese salad’ which added nothing to the dish and was wasted. The Spaghetti Bolognaise was possibly the best I have ever had. I can’t fault the quality and taste of the Food & Wine which was of exceptional value. I couldn’t put my finger on it but the Restaurant was rather clinical and did lack ambience and atmosphere. Adding basics like tablecloths, candles, dimmer lighting and a bit more colour would of done wonders. All in all I Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Gorgeous food, lovely, efficient staff.

Booked Terra Nostra for last Saturday after a recommend from a friend. We had 2 different starters, a ravioli and pizza main, desserts to finish. They even catered for the kids with mini pizzas or half portions made to order. Service was good, all the food was fantastic, couldn't fault anything.

A very busy restaurant at weekends its a must to book

Such a shame - we have been here many times before but on our recent visit we founf /manager to be quite moody and unfriendly. Not the best Italian restaurant we have visited

Beautiful meal as always on Friday night with my family. We had muscles, mushrooms, livers,meatballs,calamari, fillet steaks with various sauces, and seabass. We also had a pram with two babies and they were so friendly. Food is always amazing, no where ever gets close to their standard, taste and hospitality. See you all soon

This is the place to go if you want great Italian food. I have been to most of the Italian restaurants in Blackpool, and surrounding areas. Tonight was my first time at Terra Nostra, and it’s probably the best Italian food I have tried around here. I had the king prawns from the specials menu to start. It was beautiful. The prawns were juicy, the sauce was delicious. I had the lobster ravioli from the specials menu for my main. Lobster ravioli is my favourite of all time. At other restaurants I have been to they will only give you a small amount of ravioli. At Terra Nostra I got a decent amount, which I was really happy with, and the taste was incredible! As we were waiting for our food we kept over hearing people talk about how amazing the food is at this restaurant. They weren’t wrong! We saw a lot of food being taken to tables, pizzas, steaks, etc. it all looked great! Not only is the food amazing, but the service is too! I really appreciate good service from good people. The staff here are lovely. They make you feel comfortable, they are kind, they never left us waiting too long for anything. It was just a really nice experience overall. I will definitely be visiting again soon, and I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone from now on :)

Nice buzz, wide menu with tons of choice, pleased with tagliatelle with king prawns and saltimbocca and mellow Merlot. Very attentive staff.

Overall poor experience, when booking asked to be there by 7.15 but not even asked for a drink till 7.45. Food took ages and when arrived not great. Table cleared after main course and bill landed on the table immediately with no offer of desert menu. Felt sorry for the lad presenting the bill but we will not be back not worth any where near the £100 bill.

Went with family who have just moved to the area so had no idea what this was like ..... but WOW its fantastic the staff are really friendly and attentive. The food was divine, 2 people had the lamb shank and the meat just fell off the bone, 2 had seabass and looked great and the said was delicious, I had a steak and it was one of the best cooked steaks I have ever had ( have eaten in many restaurants in alot of countries) . The presentation was also exceptional. If I'm ever back that way I will definitely call in again, as for the family they reckon they have just found their new favourite place. What ever they are doing in this restaurant I hope they continue as its great

I enjoyed and amazing meal with my friends I'm in a wheelchair and the staff welcomed me and moved a chair to make things comfortable, they gave plenty of time to decide. The food was absolutely delicious we ordered Garlic Mushrooms and Garlic bread to share which was amazing and for a main I had Pasta parcels with potato cheese and mint filling with an amazing sauce which I don't know what was in it but it tasted incredible. My friends had Lasagne and pasta shells with mixed meat and again a delicious sauce. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were happy to help. This was a very positive experience and everything we ate was delicious.

We had been in Bobby's bar opposite and had been recommended to try Terra Nostra. Definitely not disappointed. We never have a 3 course meal but the food was so good that we succumbed to having a dessert 🍨 as well which the young lady made for us (it was her first time at doing the desserts) and she executed them brilliantly - delicious 😋 Next time we're over we'll call in again

Chicken liver starter was beautiful as is the garlic bread. However 2 mains I've had on the last 2 visits have just been ok, penne arrabiata, nothing special. Steak asked for medium rare, was overcooked.

Stopping the night in Bispham to see the Blackpool lights and after reading reviews decided to book a table here. , Pleased we did, it was really busy (thurs night) and the food was delicious, staff so friendly and attentive without being over the top....

Normally have a fantastic time here but this time it was almost farcical. Arrived separately from friends and got seated at different tables. Took us ages to realise we were all actually in the restaurant. Starter was a bit hit and miss but main course was lovely. Waiting staff really couldn't be bothered though. Waitress asked if we wanted more drinks and didn't wait for answer and then another waitress collected the desert menus without asking and just wandered off. It all felt as if we were a bit of an inconvenience.

Booked this place after reading reviews on here, whilst staying in Blackpool. Food was fabulous, the best spaghetti marinara I have ever had. Lovely place, great service, would definitely recommend! 👌
