Teras Turkish BBQ Restaurant in Waltham Forest

Our 2nd visit to this lovely gem in E17. We enjoyed a romantic evening that took us back to many lovely holidays in Turkey. Decor, atmosphere, staff and wonderful food at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be going back!

Qué variedad tan fantástica: la comida era increíble, abundante y hermosamente distribuida. ¡Todo lo que tenía que hacer era quitar las tapas y habrías pensado que me había gastado una fortuna en un chef en casa!No me puedo quejar de la calidad de la comida, el tamaño de las porciones y la fantástica ayuda de Alex mientras organizaba mi comida de cumpleaños.¡No puedo esperar para pedir otra comida para llevar o visitar para una cena en la experiencia que estoy seguro será igual de increíble!Muchas gracias por su ayuda, generosidad y amabilidad, que rara vez se encuentran ahora.

I went to this place for lunch as i have done many times in the past. The service was great as was the food.but...... I was shocked to get my bill which was 60per cent higher that i normally pay. Wont be going back. Shame

El shish era una porción pequeña con una cantidad muy pequeña de salsa, casi indetectable; no pudimos comernos la mayor parte del pollo porque estaba muy seco. Las patatas fritas no eran comestibles, empañadas y frías. El lado de la berenjena era muy pequeño para 7 y muy soso, necesitaba condimento. Hay lugares turcos mucho mejores en Walthamstow con mucho sabor y por un mejor precio.Me comuniqué con el restaurante y no he tenido respuesta.

Nos hicieron sentir como en casa al estilo típico turco.Para 4 personas, bebidas incluidas, la factura fue de 100, lo que me pareció muy razonable.Definitivamente iré de nuevo

This restaurant is progressively getting worse. Shame as it used to be really good. There are better Turkish restaurants to visit in Walthamstow and nearby

Now let me just put this out there I do regard myself as the kebab king ... a title I hope with such pride I tell ya !!! Anyway I popped into this place for a cheeky dirty donner and chips ... I mean we all appreciate a dirty donner don’t we wink wink nudge nudge !! Anyway place was pretty quiet so food came pretty quick but my gosh how I wish I went to pinar or yasers ( two local legends in the same area ) cheeeeeeeeese and biscuits this donner had more pieces of white fat through it than actual meat! Was shocking ! Literally could not eat it! Chips were Average, and to top it off 14 pound for this shower of shiiiiiiiiiiii.... ! Never again !

Lovely place for a family night out ! Food is always exceptional. Staff are very friendly and service was immaculate. Would be back soon!

Had Friday night dinner at Terras with my friend and the attention from the staff was second to none. Friendly, quick, attentive you cannot fault it! Oh and the food is tasty also! Will be back 😊

Meat was ok but nothing special given the high prices, I’d be keen if the restaurant invests a little more on better quality ingredients, I would be rushing back anytime soon. But good luck.

Venimos aquí regularmente y nos encanta la comida. El personal siempre conoce mi pedido y siempre es muy dulce. Se han reformado recientemente para que el lugar se vea mucho más brillante. My husband and I went here on Friday evening. It’s a great family run joint and you can tell they are very passionate about the food they’re cooking, as well as providing exceptional customer service, (thanks Billy and Hassan who served us). The food was delicious, my husband had the mix grill and I had the lamb chops, both juicy and flavoursome. Oh and the bread... it’s out of this world, very unique tasting! Actually I would just go there for the bread!

Nice little place next to Wood green overground. Good for take away as well as for dining in. Starters are a bit expensive for the quantity served, but the mains are ok and tasty.

Reservamos una mesa para el miércoles a las 7 pm. A la llegada, solo 1 mesa estaba ocupada y solo vimos 2 mesas más sentadas en todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí.

The staff are friendly; the food is amazing. However, take away is the same price as going out to a restaurant with a family. Portions are not very generous. Therefore, excellent but not sure about 'value for money' criteria

Have eaten here quite a few times and every meal is fantastic and of top quality. The staff are fabulous too.

Ever since my first lunch in teras i keep going back, the food is amazing as well as the neat and detailed presentation, also portions are large which is even better because you can take your left overs home! As always the staff was excellent giving us the best service any restaurant has to offer especially billy who always puts a smile on me and my families face recommend teras to everyone that wants to eat perfect foreign food, Thanks Billy.

Great authentic Turkish food on a quiet Sunday lunchtime. A quality repast was backed up by speedy excellent service. Portions are large so bear that in mind when ordering but you can take the extra home with you. Thanks!

My first Turkish restaurant experience, came over for lunch this afternoon with a few friends and it was really nice thanks to billy who helped me allot recommending dishes which were excellent, highly recommend teras.

If your looking for tasty food, with great service then look no further. Billy took good care of us. Will definately go back again!!!

If you are local in the area its a nice Turkish place to eat. I have been twice with work colleagues had the 8.50 lunch menu which is two courses value wise very good, portions are decent and they also include a drink.

Popped in for a quick meal and was really pleasantly surprised. Great food and even better staff. Everyone there was so nice and Billy and his colleague really took care of us. Definitely recommend

We visited Teras last night for a friend's birthday meal. The food was excellent, as always, and the staff were attentive and friendly. It is such good value for money as well. Big thanks to Jane, our waitress, who went the extra mile to provide a rice pudding birthday cake + candle + singing for our friend Alison. I really recommend Teras for a great night out.

This is our favourite local Turkish takeaway. The food is great and the platters are huge. Staff is also lovely and always trying their best to make customers happy.

We ate here on Friday evening for the second time and it did not dissapoint. The food was lovely and fresh and the service was excellent. Having eaten in lots of Turkish restaurants can honestly say this is one of the best with fresh homemade authentic Turkish food.

We booked a table for Wednesday during the England game and the restaurant was empty, as expected.

I highly recommend this Turkish delight. We have frequented this very friendly and welcoming restaurant and we have always enjoyed the experience. Firstly, the food is of very good quality with an excellent choice on the menu.

Myself and my boyfriend come here alot and it's good everytime. We usually have the 2/3 people platter which we finish. If you like meat, Mediterranean style bbq/kebab then try here.

This place exceeded my expectations in every way. The food was cooked to perfection, the staff were great and I can’t wait to go back. The mixed grill was amazing and the salad & bread were delicious too.

It’s a bustling, family restaurant with a joyous cacophony of meaty smells and laughter filling the place. We had cold mezze and a massive meat platter. Nothing is subtle but it’s all really really good. Lovely warm service. A total joy.

We are regulars here and have been for sometime and still this restaurant always will go one step more with their fantastic hospitality absolute amazing food which is always cooked to perfection we can not recommend this restaurant highly enough and also great value!

Generosas raciones y variedad de elección, siempre bien preparado y no hay que esperar alrededor para cursos incluso cuando está muy ocupado, que es normal. Su cordero doner y se podrán tenía la parte hubiera sido adecuado para dos personas, pero se las arregló todo. Yo tenía pollo cazuelas, todo servido con arroz, ensalada y pan pitta. Tan fácil como overface es delicioso. Todo se sirve a precios razonables. Lo que no gusta.

No es mi tipo de restaurante en una ubicación que no favorecen, sin embargo debo elogiar el Teras.

Wouldn't recommend to go on a Saturday evening, was extremely busy with delivery orders. Waited over 30 minutes for my food whilst i sat and watched them prepare several delivery orders. Was very disappointed and will not be returning anytime soon.

Siempre puedo contar con teras para acoger grupos grandes y dar cada vez la comida increíble, incluso dan aceitunas, pan con generosidad y salsas. El servicio es siempre perfecto, especialmente un camarero llamado Billy que se aseguró de que los vasos estaban siempre lleno y que la comida era perfecta. Gracias!

We ordered for delivery on Tuesday evening and were gutted to hear that there was a 1 hour and 45 minute wait! Although a pain in the neck that we had to walk down to Wood Street to pick up our order we couldn't really be annoyed because it just proves how busy they are and it's because the food is always great. We had 3 lamb shish and a mixed shish. They all come with their own separate portion of salad, bread and 2 dips - chilli & garlic. As usual food was amazing. The lamb is just so tender. Great price too. I'm sure we'll be back again before Christmas.

The food is always delicious, especially the lamb chops, kebabs, bread and cold meze.

I got the imam bayaldi and the carrot tarator starters for takeaway. Nicely roasted aubergine absolutely stuffed with mushrooms, peppers and onions. Filling as well. Hefty portion of the tarator, with tons of julienned carrots mixed in. Sweet with a hint of savoury taste from the garlic. A nice complement to the aubergine. Overall, a cheap and filling dinner. Just dinking a star because cash only for takeaway- really ridiculous. It’s 2017 already!

This is the best Turkish restaurant I've tasted as I've tasted a lot! The atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and attend to all needs.

Had bonfire night dinner here and it was great. They were busy but found the four of us a table. had the cold mezes and the jumbo platter which was plenty for us. A round of drinks followed by mums home made rice pudding and fried ice cream all for 60£. Can’t beat it. Food was all very tasty and the service was very very good.

Really great delicious food. Generous portions reasonably priced. Brilliant customer service from really nice welcoming staff who go out of their way to accommodate. Olives and Turkish tea recieved on the House.

Big, tasty portions of Turkish food (suitable for vegetarians) with complimentary baklava and Turkish tea at the end. Very attentive staff and endless steam of bread that had ben warmed on the grill. Always seems to be someone celebrating their birthday here so be prepared to sing!

Teras is one of my favourite restaurants. 7 of us visited yesterday for my birthday. The food is amazing, lamb shish is best I've ever had and they do great salads and bread. The food is really tasty, succulent and fresh, and you can watch them make it. I recently got back from a 2 week holiday in Turkey and this still ranks up there as some of the best Turkish food I have had. The grilled meats are great but if you want to try something different, try the Halep, it's very tasty and I haven't had anything like it before.The waiters are always exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere, its always buzzing and has very pretty decorations. Can't fault a thing, I highly recommend it.

Top notch food, juicy Adana lamb kebab and another off the Teras specials. Both delicious and flavoursome, the bread that comes with the food is delicious as well - full of herbs. The service was great and the waiter very friendly. Bit of a misunderstanding on my order but I was actually really pleased as what I had was fantastic. Definitely go again!

In a group of 30 people night before a wedding. Got us all in with no problem, Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. Moussaka was amazing. The main man was amazing too, He remembered everything from drinks to food. really felt welcome by all. Great night. Thanks.

One of my favourite Turkish spots in the area. Decor is lovely and customer service is great! Food is served fairly quick and the takeaway option is also fast! Great food with authentic Turkish taste!

This place was amazing. Some of the best food I've eaten, made authentically and great service. The calamari was spot on thick slices of squid allowed to the thin one you get most places. Absolutely amazing. Would recommend.

My partner and I always come here and we've yet to be disappointed. What can I say, it's just good Turkish food! The lamachun and chicken and lamb beyti is my favourite. The staff are great too.

My boyfriend and I have ordered take away from this restaurant many times, the food is plentiful and on the whole, delicious. We have also visited the restaurant a number of times and this is where Tera's really stands out. The staff are friendly and can not do enough for you, even when the restaurant area is full. So glad to have a little gem like this close to where I live.

Five of us were celebrating a friend's birthday, Excellent food and first-class staff made it a very enjoyable occasion, which I suppose we might have expected from the previous glowing reviews. What we did not expect was the pleasure we got from the lighting. This may seem to be an odd thing to comment on, but all I can say is "go and take a look". You won't regret it.

After a long day sightseeing in London my son and his girlfriend booked a table at Teras where they had eaten a few times before. We had starters to share and mixed grills. The food was great and we thought we were all full until Jane the high pressure sweet salesperson decided that we must have two sweets to share. Well none of us had the courage to refuse and shared baklava and rice pudding. I must Jane was correct they were lovely. Just one thing I can say to Jane is two lollipops will get you a long way!

The customer service was amazing, very welcoming and caring. The food was so delicious by far the best Turkish food I have tried. The lady helped me carry bags of food to my car. Very friendly definitely will come back.

We haven't eaten in the restaurant but have had two deliveries and been really impressed. Our first order of 2 vegetarian mains (includes salad and rice portions each), 1 borek starter (including bread and dips) was way too much and meant we had two evening meals from it. Second order of 2 starters, olives and one vegetarian main was again quite a lot. So much tasty Turkish bread.All the food is delicious. The borek is melt in the mouth. The vegetarian moussaka is one of the best we've ever had from a restaurant, the aubergine was cook to perfection. Delivery has been pretty quick on both occasions.

I honestly had such a great time dining here.. A friend and I were challenged by Yaz (the manager/ entertainer) to finish our whole meal and if we did (which we didn't) he'll give us free cake ... we didn't manage to finish it, but he was still kind enough to give us a free hefty slice The food is delicious and the customer service is excellent.. I'd definitely make regular trips from here on Thanks Yaz!!!

Ordered the platter and wow was there enough food! The waiters were friendly and helpful, nit trying to sell bigger pricier meals but ones to suit our needs! The Turkish wine was surprisingly good! Have eaten many take outs but this was the first time I ate in! Would visit again. Great food, great value!
