Had one of the best , if not the best curries that my wife and I have ever had, absolutely delicious.

Wow I wasn't expecting it to be so good. My daughter took me out for a meal tonight and it was really good food, the host was very polite and caring. I had the chicken pasanda and it was delicious and the sweet nan was cooked to perfection. I will be back for more soon.

There were four of us for a meal and it's a very tight squeeze as only a tiny place. Literally fits in only 14 at the most. We ordered the meal and I asked for chips and when the food was served I was told there wasn't any chips. No alternative was offered so just had the curry on its own. Should have been informed before the food was served so I could order something else.

Food was amazing, and the service was great Tiny restaurant, very intimate but didn't feel intrusive. We had the lamb tikka pasanda, the chicken jalfrezi, tarka dal and pilau rice, all freshly cooked and delicious. Would happily go again!

Best curry you'll ever eat! We have been coming here every year while on holiday for many years and it is always beautifully cooked, wonderful tasting, good quality cuisine, every single time! It's still the best curry we've ever had anywhere in the uk. It's worth mentioning that you need to book ahead as it's very popular and only seats around 12, which is part of the beauty of this place. Its intimate dining, with a lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Highly recommended!

A very small restaurant seating for 16 only. The food was was very good, but the service wasn’t the best, only the one waiter who we found to be a little off hand. Half the drinks came out and having waited ages for the rest, we had to ask again for them. The choice of drinks was very limited, having run out of a drink a fellow customer had recommended. The starters came at the same time as the poppadoms, I would have preferred a gap. We didn't realise it was cash only, luckily we had just enough to cover the bill. We didn’t notice the small sign in the window until the waiter had pointed it out to us. The toilet facilities were of a very poor standard, only one available for both men & women to use, a tiny space to squeeze into with a very poor hand washing area, really let the place down.

It feels like you are dining in someone's living room, and it's fantastic! The food is incredible and that's what you are there for, everything else is secondary. This is one of those "hole in the wall" places that you hear people rave about, do not pass it by.

A small restaurant full of regulars and locals seemed like an OK place to visit but Mo, the waiter, was really off-hand with us. The food was quite nice but the service was appalling. Asked four times for a glass of water to go with my wine... starter came with the poppadums. Watched how our half eaten pickles were being recycled for the next custimer. We didn't realise that this was interestingly a cash only place WITH hand written bill but were told it was our fault for not reading the notice in the window.

Only a tiny little restaurant . Only probably fit 12 /16 people at a push. Only one gentleman at the front taking orders and drinks. Two chefs at the back. The food I have to say was very tasty and excellent but can be pricey. Be aware you can only pay cash..

The order has to be ordered in a certain way and was taken an hour in to our visit, the drinks took 30 minutes to come, when we reordered drinks he brought 2 of them then chatted again for 10 minutes before bringing the other two. When he asked if we wanted a refill on the starter dips we said no, 15 minutes later we had run out of a couple of things so asked for a refill after all which was treated by the waiter rudely. Also, although there was a sign on the door that said cash only we weren’t told about it at the start of the meal. I even phoned up and he asked me if it was my first time so when I said yes it seemed liked the perfect opportunity to tell me about this. Overall I have to recommend because the food was that good but the service was a real let down.

Wow what amazing birthday meal we had with our friends, its a very small restaurant with 16 covers. The owner is extremely attentive , the wine choices are brilliant. The food was so tasty , the meat moist and non fatty ( I had a lamb dish ). We will return , thankyou 😉

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Teignmouth, if not Devon. Mohammed and his chef prepare all their food freshly and the flavours are delicious. The restaurant is extremely small, seating only 15 people, so you get to talk to the other diners. Highly recommended.

Quite positively the smallest restaurant I've been in but one of the best curry's I've had.

Here just for the day, had a wonderful meal and the service and cooking was excellent, cannot fault it.

My wife and I booked a table here on Saturday night just to try somewhere new. We were not disappointed - the food was outstanding, easily one of the best Indian meals I've had. The restaurant is tiny, so book a table, but it's a great place. The service was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back soon, and we will bring friends.

I have been to this Indian restaurant 3 times now, once with my husband & two more times with two different friends. Each time i ordered different dishes & they were all fantastic. So much flavour & excellent quality produce. Excellent little restaurant giving you the feeling of real personal service and superb food. Not many covers so booking essential and it's cash payment only. There are 3 Indian restaurants in Teignmouth but this our one of choice.

The food was good, but the service was absolutely atrocious, and really slow. My stomach was fragile so I ordered a starter to come with everybody else's mains. The waiter rolled his eyes at me and scoffed when I ordered, as if I was being an outrageous imposition to him. I received way too much food for a starter, couldn't eat even a third of it, and in the end I was charged for a main. So SO rude. Not coming back here.

We are usually disappointed in finding a decent curry outside of our home town of Birmingham, not so here. A couple of locals recommended this place to us and we were really pleased they did. Generous portions, authentic dishes and beautifully spiced food. Cobra on draught too which was a bonus. All reasonably priced and a great character of a waiter. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

This has to be one of the best curry’s we’ve ever eaten. Absolutely delicious and the leftovers tasted even better the next day. The only thing that let this restaurant down was the toilet. Just not good enough to have such a poor (unclean) facility with a soap bar that was so old, it had cracked around the edges.

Very nice food, it’s small so you must book. My friend had a pram which was fine but difficult to manoeuvre and no where for her to feed her baby so she had to leave early. It was busy so a shame we felt quite rushed. We hadn’t seen each other in a while but were told they needed the table back. Also no card machine so you need to take cash.

Couple of days visiting Teignmouth and this was the Indian restaurant recommended by a number of people we met. Certainly different - very, very small with, I think seven tables, Delightful, friendly member of staff who seemed to be doing everything front of house. Had a party booked here to attend for this weekend for 11, which was booked 4 weeks ago. Had a call today saying that the manager has taken another booking so cancelling our booking, no apology, asked why and said because you may not arrive. Just said it was cancelled and it is the Manager's decision. This is very poor customer service and would avoid this place as their attitude stinks! They have no care or concern, just be cautious that this could happen to you.

Such a small ambiant atmosphere, the food however was delicious. The owner couldnt have been more helpful and the prtions were very generous. The leftovers were lunch for the following day. Highly recommended we'll be back there soon.

I don't want to tell you about this amazing place because it's small and intimate and you might book and prevent me from getting a table! But, in the spirit of generosity and love, I shall let you into this little secret. Charming, intimate and the best curry you will ever have. The peshwarri is so good that when I want to order one the size of a duvet so that when I die I can be wrapped in it. Ok that's weird, but honestly it's so good. So find just a couple of people that you love the most and take them. Don't take a group, just the 2 or 3 closest people that you like the most. We can't share this wonder with just anyone you know.....

We booked this restaurant for our party of 4 on a Saturday evening, very small restaurant, completely booked out - and now I know why. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly man who showed us to our table. Our waitress came over and took our drinks order and they arrived soon after. We looked through the menu and asked about a couple of items, the waitress was new and so a man (I think that he was the chef) came and helped us. One of our party likes VERY hot food so she ordered a Phal hot tikka Masala. We ordered poppadoms for starter which arrived quickly and ate those while our meal was prepared. The meals were absolutely fantastic, delicious and very nice sized portions too. The meal that was especially ordered was perfect, exactly what she had ordered! The chef came out with his hands cupped and said that he had used that much chilli in the meal, I don't think that he could believe his eyes that she had eaten that meal! She said that it was lovely, most places don't get the food hot enough.All in all, if you're lucky enough to get a booking here you won't be disappointed!Definitely a place to return to next time that we're in the area.
