Teapots of Olney in Milton Keynes

Visited for Mother’s Day Afternoon tea and it was fantastic! Lovely china cups and plates. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious, we ordered 2 vegetarian and 2 regular. We would definitely return in the future.

Excellent friendly cafe. Caters for coeliacs with lots of choice and good knowledge of cross contamination. Nice selection of lunches and cakes.

A real treat. I’ve no idea how many times we’ve been to Olney and never tried Teapots what a mistake that was. The atmosphere was great a bit like stepping back in time but in a good way. The food was well cooked and the coffee was first class but above all the staff were so friendly. I’ll definitely be back

First visit and boy what an amazing little find. A very warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was simply fantastic and I’ve had my fair share of them !! This was by far the best I’ve ever had. Freshly made tasty sandwiches and a delicious homemade cake selection along with just scrumptious scones. Endless supply of hot tea along with any other drinks if required. What more could you ask for.

We drove over again, from just outside Cambridge as we love it here. We had a cheese ploughmans and 2 pots of tea, and 1 latte......and of course a piece of cake! It was delicious and more than that is was so much more reasonable than a ploughmans we had, had a few weeks ago, closer to home, where we had a postage stamp size piece of cheese, for the same money !!! We had decent wedges of Brie, Stilton and Cheddar, (and it was good quality), With a roll, salad, pickles and chutney. I had slice of cake (caramel) and was asked if I wanted a small or large piece( I think they charge a little less for a smaller bit which is good). I had small, but it was ample.....and gorgeous. They are so nice in there and it is always clean and so nice to 'go back in time'. If they had a bit of Glen miller playing, it would just top it off !!!

We had a delicious full English breakfast at this delightful tea room. It was cooked to perfection, with top quality ingredients. The owners are charming. Can't wait to visit again.

phoned ahead to order a takeaway for lunch & it was ready for me to collect. went for the club sandwich - perfect portion size and was even tempted by a slice of cake for afters too!

Lovely breakfast. Nothing fancy, just a really nice tearoom with pleasent people and nice food. Just across from the market place so perfect for a visit when going there.

Visited for mother's day with my wife and little one. The reception by the staff was welcoming and friendly and it was good to see the place was busy. We were lead upstairs in this quaint little house to a well decorated, clean room with a few tables in. We'd pre-booked the special afternoon so other than deciding drinks (tea, obviously - it was afternoon tea after all) there was very little to do other than make small talk for the few brief minutes it took for the cake stands of sandwiches, scones, cakes and fancies to arrive. The gluten free food arrived on its own stand and luckily the staff told us which was which because thee was very little difference in appearance to the food that contained the dreaded gluten. If you need a GF diet you'll know how unusual this is. There was also very little difference in taste or texture either. I can't stress how amazing this is. GF food has made great improvements in recent years but this was another level. So very impressive. The staff were always on hand to offer more tea but were never intrusive and were absolutely professional and friendly throughout. I can't recommend Teapots highly enough. An amazing place with a delightful selection of beautiful food.

Back again for another lovely breakfast. Still good value, still a lovely atmosphere, still so polite. Still our favorite.....and we will be back. Worth the hours drive for that and a walk around the town. Oh, and had a visit to the village of Weston underwood, about a mile away, too. A lovely day.

After living in Olney for 22 years I had surprisingly never been here before. We held my sisters baby shower here in the upstairs room for Sunday afternoon tea & I have to say it was amazing! The staff were so polite & had everything covered & absolute pros at their job. The platter of cakes & sandwiches were deli& the tea a proper cup of tea. Lovely little place, definitely recommend & hope to visit again soon. Thank you for catering for us 😊

Warm friendly service, delicious toasted cheese and tomato sandwich and wide selection on drinks options made for a lovely afternoon with friends. I’m still drooling over the sandwich…will have to take my husband there soon. Just one thing…bathrooms are up 2 flights of stairs so not sure how customers with mobility difficulties cope. Oh..and the homemade cakes are wonderful!

We visited here on the off chance when walking into town. I've always wanted to go into teapots as I've always heard good things. They didn't disappoint. A pot of tea & Scone for me & a pot of tea & fry up for my partner. It was delicious & the prices weren't too high. I'll be looking to go there for an afternoon tea as they looked amazing! 10/10 from us!!

This place is amazing for gluten free, there are so many options and the quality of the food is brilliant. I’ve been coming here for ages now and they never disappoint, always a lovely experience. Myself, my husband and my daughter visited for my husbands birthday lunch. The Gluten free bread was lovely! Best I've had so far. The caramel cake was delicious! A stroll around Olney should always be accompanied by a visit to an old-fashioned tea room, and Teapots fits the bill.The furnishings are comfortably chintzy but the changes you'd expect to be in place have been introduced with a light touch.Tables have been spaced out, you need to hand over your details if you're just stepping in off the street, but the bill of fare has stayed very traditional.We plumped for a generous ploughman's with a selection of cheeses and a prawn jacket potato, both were top notch.Loos are spotless but they are at the top of a couple of flights of stairs, which is worth bearing in mind if mobility is an issue.

In the midst of Covid it is great to have some sanity return to life with places like this coming back to give us some comfort.The enforced lockdown has seen a number of physical changes having been implemented but the bright ne table tops, screens, masks, reduced table layout hasn't changed the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff with a true welcome still being extended to all who come through the door.I sensed a slightly reduced food offering due to the menu being on a wallboard display rather than on the table but pretty sure if you fancied something not shown, efforts would be made to give you what you want. It's that sort of place!Nice to see Teapots back.

My wife booked afternoon tea for myself and family for a birthday treat and I must say it was absolutely beautiful, lovely selection of sandwiches, gorgeous cakes and warm scones with jam and cream endless tea and coffee if wanted. All unrushed and in a really lovely atmosphere. If you want to book afternoon tea for a special occasion I would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend Teapots.

I have found another little gem in Olney for you , its a wonderful little tea house called the TEAPOT. Last weekend my partner and I just fancied a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake so we went into this little teahouse , it was like stepping to the past with lovely tea and cakes served on china , best china as my grannie would say with very nice sandwiches and home made cakes , they also serve breakfast as well

What a delightful place, I wanted a traditional afternoon tea in a tea shop, this met and exceeded my expectations. The tea room was lovely, the staff were very attentive, the afternoon tea was lovely, couldn’t eat it all so they boxed up what we left. Highly recommend this tea shop.

Very friendly, welcoming and prompt service despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon. Also very accommodating to our requests for something slightly different to the menu. We both had the Simple Afternoon Tea, which was more than sufficient for lunch for two hungry blokes. In short, excellent value for money, well prepared, seasoned and tasty. The home-made cheese scones were a highlight. Traditional, quaint decor and a great spot for a very satisfying lunch.

We popped in for a lunch, seated upstairs which was a relief as we thought there were no tables left, having had our meal were not surprised.I like a good coffee, this was absolutely perfect as was my scone with jam and cream. Coffee gorgeous rich taste perfect good sized cup. Scone, cold ( ooh yes cream just sits in top ) beautifully baked not the usual ‘mass produced ‘ ones so often served, not here. Himself had a lovely soup which he enjoyed very much and as a bit of a cook he’s hard to please.Thank you to all for a lovely treat, heartily recommend. Great hospitality and welcome.

Entering Teapots of Olney felt like an opening scene from a Miss Marple episode. Mismatched china, proper leaf tea served in old fashioned teapots and a bell which rang so loudly on entering you really felt like your piece to camera was about to start! We had a very tasty poached egg on toast with smoked salmon and gorgeous pot of tea to wash it down with. The owners actually have time to talk to you rather than the standard 'is this table alright?' line which is rare thing and something of a delight for me personally.Simply no negative points at all the place is cosy, personal and the food is good quality and inexpensive. Its a hit.

Another lovely experience at lunchtime.Such a friendly tearoom which serves up wholesome food from a good range of menu options.Opted for their home cooked ham and coleslaw sandwich which came adorned with a reasonable side salad and portion of crisps. Ham was lovely, as was the coleslaw.Lovely place, lovely food, lovely people.

We go regularly for the ambience, the cakes and the tea. Beautiful. No negatives at all. The toasted tea cakes are particularly enjoyed by my friend and the breakfasts are great. Quality and friendliness.

Called in for brunch and it just shows how popular this little place as we had to wait for a table - well worth waiting for. We had the Welsh rabbit with a poached egg on top - best poached egg I’ve ever had. A pot of tea which I got 3 cups out of.

The decor is absolutely lovely, it’s filled with various of antique items that give it a homely feel. The food is always excellent and the variety of gluten free food to choose from is always excellent! There’s usually more than one gluten free cake to choose from too.

On arrival we where greeted with a warm smile and a lovely well presentable cafe . We where shown a table and we ordered the cream tea. Highly recommend. The food was outstanding . Fresh , delicious , beautiful presentation. Lots of variety too .

Visited Olney over the weekend with family, popped into teapots for lunch, food was amazing and served promptly. We’d looked at other places first but decided on here and we made the right choice! I had the ploughman’s which was by far the best I’ve ever eaten! There’s a massive selection of cakes and scones too! You will not be disappointed if you eat here.

My wife and i stopped on a sunny friday afternoon and had tea and cake. The cakes seemed all home made and were delicious. The service was swift and freindly but not hurried. It was a little too warm in there for us and we were downstairs, not sure if it was even hotter upstairs. It was busy so must be porpular.

We visited this lovely place today as we had been given a voucher for a special afternoon tea. We had to book 24 hours in advance, but that was fine. We arrived early and even though it was busy, our table was ready. The food and service was second to none, the staff were so lovely and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend and visit Teapots again, it was a lovely afternoon.

A friend and I stopped here for a light lunch when visiting the area on a shopping day and it seems we have stumbled upon an absolute gem.
