Tarantino's in Havering

We’ve been eating out at this restaurant since a few years ago. Whilst the music/general ambiance was good, I’m sorry to say that the service/food has gone down. The food is not cheap, but it used to be better quality, I had a beef lasagne which was over £12 but arrived without even so much as a salad garnish on the side. There wasn’t much meat in the dish it was mostly cheese. My friend had the cannelloni which had hardly any spinach at all! Under the previous management of ‘Andreas Marinelli’ we used to be greeted very warmly, be given a bowl of mixed olives AND warm mini pizzas, and sometimes be offered a ‘Drink on the house’. He used to go above & beyond to make us feel welcome. We saw other guests having the olives/free shots etc but were offered nothing at all. Given that we had always been very regular and loyal customers this was very disappointing indeed 😔. In fact I don’t think any of them recognised us at all, maybe just the younger waiter. Very disappointed 😔 & won’t be going there again.

9 of us visiting Tarantino’s for a birthday meal. From the way we were greeted, to the very last moment when we left, the whole experience was first class. The food is amazing and the staff were so kind hearted. They gave my dad a bottle of Prosecco as a birthday gift. I was blown away by this gesture and so was he. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Thank you all for making our evening so special and thank you for all the laughs and putting up with my sense of humour. Amazing xxx

We had the most amazing time in the lovely restaurant! We had the bottomless brunch which is extremely good value (1.5 hours of Prosecco and 2 courses for £31.00!) Amazing! The food was delicious, all of the staff were so good, really attentive, without being intrusive. I have eaten at Tarantinos many times and the food is always fabulous, but the bottomless brunch we had on Tuesday 13th Feb was really outstanding. There's also a really nice, chilled atmosphere. We will be back soon! 🥰

Nice warm welcome on arrival and had a choice of a few tables. The restaurant had a nice Italian feel to it although signs of neglect in places, some stained & worn out seats, scuffed wallpaper & paint etc but overall fine. Service was good throughout our meal, although staffed asked if we needed more drinks far too many times. We all ate from the 3 course festive menu and all the dishes were presented well & tasted great, good value for the price. Plus all the coffees and hot chocolates tasted great & were nice & hot too, which isn't always the case especially with floater coffees. So overall we all had an enjoyable meal & we all said we would come back.

I had a meal here where there were 18 of us. I booked the table earlier and I paid. A deposit for each of us. We had the lunchtime menu which was very good value and lots of choices. The service was very good, I had sent off a list of each of our choices. We were not rushed and was told we had up to 5 o’clock at our table. The food was very good, you get very good serving here. We ordered our drinks separately which was very easy to do and all the waiting staff made sure no one waited when they need a drink. I have eaten here many times and will go back.

I love the feel of this restaurant, you seem to relax as you walk in the door. Today is our 34th wedding anniversary, this was our first choice to go to. Excellent service from start to finish, the staff are attentive without being intrusive. The food, well where to start? We had the prawn, smoked salmon and avocado salad for starter, very generous portion and beautifully presented, it was delicious. We also both ordered the fillet steak with red wine reduction. Perfectly cooked and melt in the mouth luscious meal. Feeling quite greedy we ordered the homemade tiramisu and the panna cotta which we shared. OMG the absolute best tiramisu that I have ever had! The panna cotta was lovely, but I had to stop myself from ordering more tiramisu! It could have been a serious miss piggy moment. Finished off with espresso martinis and we are completely stuffed. If you haven’t been, then get booked in, any excuse for good food is sufficient.

We visited for lunch on a Sunday... Family of nine. I booked about a week in advance and we were given the option of pre ordering which made for a more relaxing time since we only needed the drinks menu when we arrived. We ordered a variety of dishes which all tasted great. I had the Sunday roast pork belly main and calamari starter. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The birthday music and lit cake was very well executed. We brought the cake. There is a lot of parking available in the area. The closest one we found was about a two minute walk from the restaurant. If you step out of the restaurant, turn left and left again, you'll see the car park. It's free to park on Sundays. Thank you, Tarantino's.

This is a first class restaurant with great food and lovely staff and the Sunday roast is amazing value I would highly recommend

What a difference in a year. Came here last year for my birthday and wrote a five star review. Came here in January for my mums birthday and what a difference. The waitress we had was so rude and not interested. Whenever we asked for something she rolled her eyes. They forgot our water, the food arrived and mine was cold but never mind. If the food is average but the service is excellent you can bear it but this time around the staff let us down. A shame as we had been there on many occasions. Now have moved on to a couple of othe Italian restaurants in Upminster.

Staff are really amazing. Food is great. We had an amazing time. The manager was so friendly and accommodating. Waiters are very funny and nice. Lobster linguine is my fave! Salted caramel cheesecake is heaven.

I booked online and in the requests section I explained I was in a wheelchair, I needed the toilet to be told they were upstairs. I am unable to use the stairs. I couldn’t have been more upset. There was no disabled toilet. Although they knew I was in a wheelchair I would have expected a call to tell me this. I would not have booked. The man I spoke with, I think he was the manager was very apologetic and agreed someone should have rang, he was very helpful and kind about the situation. The food was average: I had mussels to start. And steak medallions for main. There were lots of mussels and they were ok. Maybe too much lemon! The medallions weren’t medallions, but flat pieces of what can only be described as cheap steak, it wasn’t particularly tasty. But for what you pay for a lunch menu, it was acceptable

Whilst the food was good, the evening was not as expected and how it was sold to us. Booked table for 9pm as we were told if we wanted the table all night, we had to book in at 9pm to stay for the music and party night. At 11pm the Manager turned all the music off and turned the lights on. Clearly wanted an early night even though the website states that it doesn’t close till midnight. Once we and another table spoke to the Manager he then put the music back on. Someone on the other table wanted to order a bottle of champagne and they were told they weren’t allowed to, but they could have G&T’s. Very strange! When I tried to give the manager some feedback he tut at us and the constructive comments we were making. Maybe the owners need to be present to understand how the restaurant is being managed, which isn’t very well. I think they will loose a lot of customers if they do not improve the service and attitude of the Manager.

Came here for the lunch special to be told it finishes at 4pm Maybe they should update the website as it does not state any times. I had prawn and scallop linguini There was 1 prawn in the whole dish £17 I informed the waitress who went off to the manager came back and did not acknowledge anything So i again pointed it out yo be be asked do i want some prawns on a plate(we was paying and had coats on by this time as we was going to the theatre) When i said no we have to leave she said we can give a free drink Again no we have to get to the theatre. Stood there staring at me and offered no solution, So £17 for pasta Shocking service Food not great Messaged them to complain to be ignored Surprise Surprise Won’t be returning and neither will my friends

Have been going here for years, and both this and the Brentwood one are unbeatable. The place is not what it used to be when it comes to being very busy , as other places including the new one around the corner has really taken off with a better choice and quality . saying all that , as far as Italian goes with the standards lasagna and pizzas their famous calzone they are not to be beaten.our meal here was an excellent choice of cured meats sharing plus a prawn cocktail as starter . The mains cannot go wrong with the Milanese and seafood Risotto . Rounded off with a couple of Irish coffees . We had a beautiful house white and a couple of glasses of Chianti each. A little expensive in all and it was not so busy looks like the football is keeping people indoors . We loved it , thank you staff .

My parents visit this restaurant regularly do they decided to have their 60th wedding anniversary celebration here. We had a table of 20 people, my parents had got decorations which were delivered to the restaurant and they had been placed on the table. The staff are always very friendly and professional and know my parents very well. The meal was very good, we had preordered our food but they were able to cook dishes ordered in the night. There was a singer in the restaurant who was very good, she sang for my parents when the cakes was brought out to them. The restaurant was busy but the service was still very good. I can recommend a family celebration here as they make you feel very special here and the food is always very good.

This is a very authentic type of Italian restaurant. So much so that I actually felt I was there the terrace so beautifully decorated with seasonal flowers. The sun was streaming in and the service was courteous and polite with a little touch of humour....

This is my second time leaving a review for Tarantino! This time I visited for their new bottomless brunch which was AMAZING! For only £20 we had unlimited prosecco, starters (you aren’t able to choose these) and a main of our choice. The starters included sundried tomatoes, peppers, artichokes, olives and a mini calzone (with tomato and cheese). For my main I chose the scallop and prawn linguine and it was 10/10. So delicious! Best Italian I’ve been too!! Friendly staff, very attentive. I can not fault this restaurant.

We went to this restaurant as my parents go there all the time and love it. We booked our table before on the phone, we got given a choice of tables when we arrived as it was not very busy. It got very busy later in the evening. The service was great, the food was very fresh and tasty, it’s got great decor and good choices on the menu. I would go back as we had a lovely evening and enjoyed the food and drink there.

We ordered to collect our food from Tarantinos and it was absolutely fantastic. Brilliant friendly service, food was cooked perfectly for our collection time and was absolutely fantastic. Such a treat to have a restaurant meal at home. Looking forward to our next takeaway already ordered.

We chose Tarrantinos for our take away this weekend. This resturant is local to us but one we havent visited in a while. We called the restuarant direct as one of our family members has a nut allergy. The meal was delivered within the hour and arrived hot. Ok, so we don't live too far away but it is usually hit and miss to whether or not food is delivered hot. The food was amazing and plentiful. We certainly didn't feel it was any less superior because it was a take away. We would definitely order from them again and highly recommend them to others. We will also visit the restaurant in person once we are allowed to do so.

So happy to find this cute little place so close to home being such a huge lover of Italian cuisine. The food was truly delicious , service was lovely and mostly Italian which was also nice and made us feel like we are in Italy even more! Portions were generous and most importantly they were not stingy with seafood! I had mix fried seafood for starter and risotto with seafood for main and both had plenty of delicious seafood! My friend had goats cheese for starter and scallop pasta for main - both were amazing! Lovely service as well ! Cant wait to go there again!!

We arrived at Tarantinos expecting a classy Italian restaurant as it was so highly rated on tripadvisor. Following our meal we have left with a bitter taste in the mouth (and not just from the food!) after waiting an hour for our starters, we asked the waiter where these were and were then told that the printer is broken and so we needed to re order our entire meal. We were then told it would be 2 minutes (after waiting a further 10 the food finally arrived) a mixture of frozen food recently reheated - nothing was fresh. Would Or recommend the meatballs (starter) the sauce tasted like tomato soup. Following a very slow average main, we then had to ask for the bill from 3 different waiters. It finally arrived and then we said to the staff that we would like the service charge removed and the two starters following the time it took for them to arrive. We were told this could not happen as we half ate them. We were then spoken to in a very rude manner by the staff, saying “this isn’t greggs” “we don’t care about tripadvisor, do what you want ‘. The manager then eventually slammed the bill down with the starters removed at which point we were told never to come back to Tarantino, don’t worry, we won’t.

I’m Italian and tend to avoid Italian restaurants it’s the same as our home cooking, and usually nicer at home but we decided to go here as opposed to other restaurants in Hornchurch and I’m so glad we did. The service, and food was 10/10. I really enjoyed the food, I’m a lemon lover and all meals came with plenty of lemon it was really authentic. I rarely write reviews only when I’m blown away and it was honestly lovely. We got 20% off the bill as they’re currently doing a special offer, which was a bonus! I’m trying to fit in another date to go back

The food is really amazing. We have been here at least for times and we have always been delighted. The service is exceptionally good and the atmosphere is wonderful.We come from Suffolk and the journey is worth it just to be in such an excellent restaurant. We will be back.

Could be improved!Really nice staff and the food is good but they really need to update the tables and chairs and general decor as it just ruins the atmosphere a bit. It looks almost dirty because it’s so old. I’ve heard the pizza is the highlight for the restaurant. We had the pasta and it was average but I’d definitely go back if they to get the pizza and if the decor improved I’d give it another go!

What a fabulous experience!! Fantastic service from an energized staff who made you feel welcome the very moment you stepped over the threshold. And incredible food - nothing over complicated, just really delicious, fresh ingredients. We will definitely be back 😊

Visited for the first time and the food is really lovely and reasonably priced.Would recommend the Goats cheese as a starter.Parking can be a little tricky as you can’t park directly outside so you have to find somewhere in the surrounding streets or park in Lidl for 90 mins.I will definitely be returning.

I hadn't been here for some time as it perhaps was on my radar but without reading the current TripAdvisor reviews I recently visited and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Really really nice food, well presented and very good service. currently it seems to be one of the better restaurants in hornchurch and I'm not surprised.

Went here by taking advantage of the Governments eat out offer I couldn't fault the food nor the service but it is noticeable that the prices appeared to be higher than precovid 19

Booked here yesterday with my parents to have a celebration dinner and honestly couldn’t fault it. The staff were brilliant from the set. polite, attentive and most importantly safe. This restaurant is great for parties and also romantic couples. Food is excellent service is friendly and professional. Some nights they have a singer who is very good as background which allows you to chat with out shouting above the music. My favorite food is the Liver and Bacon they also have a full a la carte menu and some special`s. Well worth a visit it will be lively at the weekends so make sure you book

Celebrated a birthday at the restaurant this evening with my family - we had a wonderful evening! We chose Tarantino's Hornchurch for my daughter's birthday. We booked in advance and just as well, the restaurant was packed. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was good and the food didn't disappoint. I mentioned to the staff that it was my daughter's birthday and they surprised her with a rendition of Happy Birthday when they brought her dessert.

I organised a suprise meal for my husband last weekend. There was 18 of us and we had the all inclusive party menu. Everyone was impressed at the quality of the food and the drinks that were included for the price. Even though there was a large number of us we recieved great service and we were looked after really well. Everyone had a great night and we stayed until closing time. Thank you to all the staff for a fab evening and making it one to remember!

Went to Tarantino last night with my partner for a date night, we sat next to the Venice mural literally reminds me of my trips to Italy, would've been lovely to sit outside just a bit chilly for me sadly, but definitely next time when its warmer weather!I had the Chicken breast stuffed with spinach which was divine! My partner had the Fried-Lamb cutlets, was perfect!The staff were very friendly and the service was great! Highly recommended!Can not wait to try the other Tarantino's !!

We visited on a Friday night. The restaurant was really busy and like all really good Italian restaurants had a relaxed but bubbly atmosphere. Lots of laughter in the place and everyone clearly enjoying the night out. There was a very big group being served as we arrived and I assumed that we might have to wait a little as theirs was really a huge order. Not at all! We were greeted and shown to our table and the wine we ordered appeared moments after we ordered it.The service was just right. Not rushed but there immediately you wanted it. The food is traditional with good portions. My two daughters and my partner opted for pasta dishes which looked very appetizing. I however went with skate from the specials board. This dish was the best fish meal I have had in years with a creamy sauce and perfectly cooked. Super friendly place - we will return.

Had our work Christmas party at Tarantino’s. There were 22 of us and we had a great night! Food was lovely and served quickly and all together. We had the all inclusive deal and had plenty of drinks and table service the entire night. Would definitely recommend this place for a big group.

Went there with a Group of people from my Zumba Group, had the set festive menu. Certainly enough choice for everyone. Very good service throughout, and we were a big group. Delicious starter and well presented, prawns and salmon, but just the right of picante. I had steak for main course, a little overcooked but hey ho it was good quality and the vegetables were lovely. Not struck on the tiramisu at this particular place. Each place has it owns recipe, but overall very good food. Then the dancing began, not sure if it is normal, but our instructor took over the booth and we had a really good bogey. Would recommend for big parties as service was excellent. Would go back as a small group of friends or family.

A bit of a mixed bag of main course quality for the 6 of us in the party. Some dishes were decent, but others were not to standard. There was a lack of consistency. The wine was of poor quality & we had to return one. However most disappointingly, we were asked to leave at the end of our meal although it was evident that we were preparing to leave. Not to worry Tarantino, we will not be bothering you again.

We received excellent service at our Family lunch this weekend. The food was tasty and well presented and the staff were great. They also helped us accommodate an elderly member of our family who isn't very mobile, as well as helping with a celebration cake for one of the younger ones. Really nice place - Thank you Tarantino's :-)

Had a fabulous night with family and friends celebrating my sons 18th and daughters 16th birthdays. Lots of choice on the menu and would definitely recommend the skate, chops and spaghetti bolognese. Pans cotta was delicious too and check out the specials board too! 1 person did have a slight issue but this was dealt with quickly and without fuss. Added bonus of a singer who was fab and disco. Can’t fault the staff who were brilliant and brought out the cake and sang happy birthday along with the rest of the customers. Overall a fab night, will highly recommend and definitely be going back.

Came here last night before going to the Queens the theatre. Excellent service, excellent food, the restaurant was airy and bright but typically Italian with the theme of red, white and green. I had a 30% discount code on food for 4 people and above after 5pm, which made our bill 55.00 for four people. Would definitely go back again.

We went for a family meal and we had a lovely experience with these guys. The food was very very good and the service of the waiters and waitresses was brilliant. We had the all inclusive menu of 3 courses and which also included our drinks all night. After a slight confusion on the service charge we were told it is included in the price and to round the evening off nicely we were offered a free shot of sambruca.

Always a delight and never a disappointment when we visit here. The staff are knowledgeable, good sense of humour and attentive. The food is such good quality and flavoursome that it is hard to resist the dessert no matter how full you feel. A wonderful restaurant and authentic feel of Italy.

I have never been to a restaurant like this, there were 16 of us with the all inclusive party package. The waiting staff are excellent and worked so hard as the restaurant was packed with a hen parties and another family celebration big table,the drinks just kept coming at no time were we waiting. Food was piping hot and very good. Was very loud so if you want a romantic meal don’t choose a Saturday night. Most of our party stayed for the disco.

When I came across this romantic little Italian restaurant, I think my heart did backflips and start jumps. I’m a lover of all things Italian, but the coffee is where I begin!

Great venue brilliant atmosphere

I want to say that we really had good time with friends. The food and service was excellent, everyone has enjoyed. Can recommend to everyone

Hate doing this....... but I must be honest the whole dinning dining experience was disappointing to say the least. Firstly the service was okay and I'm being generous because of the fact the restaurant was at full capacity. The food wasn't what I expected especially after reading such positive reviews. My steak was burnt which they begrudgingly replaced and my Mrs's food just wasn't very nice. The wine list is exceptional and enjoyed a very nice bottle of red but when I asked for an Irish coffee I was presented with a milky latte with a slight taste of Jameson's. The atmosphere was great and that made the evening enjoyable. Not a real Italian restaurant. The type of place with a dance floor and cheesy musician/DJ which is more designed for family hen parties.

I was a little put off by the name of the restaurant but don't be this is a fantastic little restaurant with friendly staff , amazing food and well priced lovely wine, I recommend

We had a very nice meal at Tarantino’s pre-theatre. My wife had monkfish, which she loved. My veggie calzone was also excellent, and the fried courgette were the nicest I’ve ever had. Friendly service in spite of quite a busy night. We’ll be back!
