Tapaz Restaurant in Bolton

Visited today with my two (adult) children for an early birthday celebration. We had been here before - two years ago to the day - and the lovely waitress Maria not only remembered us, but also remembered that it had been my birthday. Some changes to the menu, but the food was as delicious as ever, and the gnocchi with prawns was an absolute delight. Will definitely be going again, hopefully before my next birthday!!!

Lovely drinks for us, cocktails were so delicious. Wide variety of lovely tapas dishes and such a good lunch offer! Would highly recommend

been going to this restaurant since it opened. lovely food friendly staff and a good atmosphere. noticed a review complaining about the stake (steak) being cold and the dumplings being gnocchi. if you ask they will warm things up. best not to order too many things at once. and if you want proper dumplings go to a Polish or Czech Restaurant where you can get a variety of Dumplings!

Went for tea with colleagues and everyone loved their food. Offered a good variety so vegans and meat eaters could all have plenty. The tiramisu was the best that Gary has ever had. Well done Maria 👏

I got 4 dishes and 2 were good. The Stake was cold and chewy, the Italian dumplings where Ghnocci which I know is a dumpling but it’s just like potatoe with small prawns in a not so nice tangy sauce. Quite disappointed

First time visiting Tapaz and can honestly say one of the nicest places to visit in Bolton. Service by Maria was great and the food was lovely. Decor also was great with a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be my restaurant of choice now for Spanish Tapas.

Never visited a tapaz restaurant before, was in for a treat!! We had the lunch time menu, great choice something different than the usual run of the mill lunch.Pork ribs melted in the mouth, juicy prawns, salmon bites delicious, etc etc.To top it off a dessert for £3 !! Well worth a visit staff could not do enough to make our lunch special.

After months of covid and lockdowns, this was our first meal out. The food was perfect, lovely atmosphere and excellent staff. Special mention to Maria, who kindly took my partners top and dried it in the back as the heavy rainfall caught us unexpected!

Had the lunch deal which is 3 tapas for £9.95 great deal fresh hot food right sized portions which was delicous. Service was excellent overall enjoyable meal out. Would definitely go again.

We have for many years enjoyed Christmas Eve meals at Tapaz with family but now with Tier 3 we rely on the excellent takeaway menu, this year delivered by Tiago and absolutely delicious. We ordered our 6 favourite dishes starting with garlic bread with cheese, lamb casserole, lasagne, meat balls, ribs and potatas pobre. The dishes are in good portions, enough for a second meal this weekend. The complimentary Panettone cake was a nice surprise, much appreciated with our thanks and good wishes to Tiago and Kenny in the kitchen.

Have eaten in the restaurant quite a few times but today ordered a take away. The food quality was not diminished in any way and the speed of service was fantastic! Would recommend every time!

Absolutely delicious takeaway, the food was hot and on time. The staff were so helpful. Can’t wait to eat in the restaurant when lockdown ends.

Very impressed that I phoned up before they had opened however they picked up and asked if I would call back when open, much to my surprise they phoned me :) Very easy ordering process over the phone and when we arrived the food was ready at the exact time we requested. Food was still hot when we got it home and so tasty. The ribs are the best I have had in while and the Carne Paella was magnificent. Chirizo is one of my favorites and did not disappoint me as it was full of flavour. With the discount we received for collection all in all was very impressed and will definitely be ordering again in the next few weeks,

What a great place , the service was exceptional Maria made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us. I think in a pandemic like this service is paramount, if you go somewhere and don't feel welcome you will not go back whereas this was the total opposite at Tapaz Ristorante, from stepping through the door we had the best experience. The food was amazing lots of choice and every dish fresh and tasty and the drink selection and prices great too. We will definitely go back and recommend to everyone we know. My check in at the restaurant has already resulted in some business for you over the weekend and they had a great experience too. Well done Maria and everyone at Tapaz Bolton doing a great job in these rubbish times and sadly heading back to lockdown. Here is to the next visit.

We called yesterday as I had seen it reviewed on TripAdvisor, we were met by the lovely Maria and shown to our Covid friendly tableThere are various meal choices on the menu either a la carte or 4 tapas with starter breads and a pudding or coffee We had the a la carte ,delicious breads., olives , white bait , chicken wings and juicy prawns, these were paired with a slightly sparkling Portuguese white wine which was delicious The service was attentive, informative but never intrusive.All in all a fab meal , I've recommended it to my friends and work colleagues, we will be back again soon Thanks Maria and the team xx

Wow, first time that visit Tapaz restaurant and just love the experience,you dont really see restaurants in Bolton with such 5 star food and services.Especially,I would to thanks Maria,she made us feel like home.

Wonderful restaurant with very nice atmosphere, drinks selection and tapas menu.I had ribs, chicken wings and some sort of shredded chicken pastry dish, all for £9.95.Really friendly staff, covid compliant with hand sanitisers, social distancing, face visors for staff but didn't feel like we were in the covid era. Nice atmosphere with back ground music, san Miguel on tap with a hot chocolate amaretto to finish it off.Will be back every week for sure!

I need to rate 10/10 in this one, food absolutely delicious and price was incredible. We had Maria serving us, what an amazing person. Great customer service skills, absolutely brilliant, vibrant and with a constant smile on her face. Definitely brighten my evening. Well done Maria, and Tapaz that food was delicious. Definitely worth the monies paid.

We were pleased that 'Tier 3' allowed restaurants to stay open and with friends we had two separate tables 2 metres apart making it easy to chat and share a jug of the excellent Sangria, freshly made in-house, great value at £15.50. We ordered 3 tapas each including pate, chicken wings, lamb casserole, lasagne, prawns, Greek salad and white fish in garlic oil and herbs, all perfectly cooked to our liking, thanks to Kenny in the kitchen. The service is always first class with necessary corvid precautions in place making a safe visit that we alway enjoy.

We went for our anniversary. Ordered the all you can eat. 1st 6 small dishes came out, (3 each) ate everything but left 3 small chicken wings as they tasted like dirty old frying fat and came with a mayo dip not a blue cheese dipping sauce as advertised. As the waitress took the empty plates away the ?manager spoke to her and sent her back to us. We were told “we do not waste food here, you will have to pay for that”. I explained that I wasn’t wasting food but the chicken wings were not nice and I couldn’t eat them. When our bill came they had charged extra for the wings, the price they were on the menu as a separate order, on top of the price we had paid for the all you can eat buffet. Now bare in mind we had eaten everything else, even though I must say the food was not great, all tasted the same, seems like the same Bolognese sauce was topped on everything and a lot was tasteless. The waitress spoke to the ?manager who was standing near us and we heard her reply......”did you not tell them we don’t waste food”. At this point I was getting pretty upset! Never ever have I experienced anything like this. Anyway she eventually came over to us and after a while agreed to remove the extra charge. So overall, no greeting when we arrived, 1st 2 drinks ordered unavailable, crap tasteless food, poor service, terrible policy!!!!! Never ever ever again!!! Worse anniversary we have ever had.

Ate here during the lunchtime 3 for £10 offer was running. I shared 6 tapas and each one was lovely!! Our plates went back to the kitchen totally empty and our tummy’s left full!! I will be keen to come back!!!

Just dined in, did the all you can eat, which ends 6pm on a Saturday, £19.95 each. Food was really tasty, worked our way through a few, well around 12 between us both. The bill was around £63 inc 2 sangria and 2 corona. Nice treat, definitely recommend this place!

This is a really good place to go for lunch if you work in Bolton, the 3 for 9.99 is good value for waht you get! They also do a great all you can eat option if you’re up for a session. Best restaurant in bolton in my opinion! Also the olives are so good, garlicky perfection!

During lockdown this place just had it right!! Greeted by a lovely lady who asked is to sanitise our hands as we walked in. Then shown to a table by the window. Perfectly distanced from others and lovely and private. Had a great offer on for a 3 course meal so we decided on that. Lovely cocktails, food was delicious and filling. Couldn't manage a sweet so had coffee instead. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Service was amazing. Will defo be back. Thanks tapaz.

We came from bristol to visit my mum and had a lively meal of paella and tapas. All of the food was delicious.

My husband and I had a really enjoyable meal and he is usually very hard to please! We ordered several meat and fish dishes to share and we were very satisfied as the food was so tasty and flavourful. We were very happy with the quality and service.

Just had a lovely meal for my daughter’s 11th birthday: it’s her new favourite place after we went a couple of weeks ago. The staff are fab - clearly busy but nothing is too much trouble - and the food is amazing. Definitely recommended.

A first visit last night for our son's birthday. Tasty and generous portions, fabulous helpful staff, and reasonable price. What's not to like? We'll definitely be visiting again. And to those who have reviewed negatively based purely on the lack of "deals" - review the food, not your expectations!

I’ve been here a few times but not since reopening after lockdown. The staff were all wearing face masks, tables were spread out and it was a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy the delicious food. Our party had some tapas dishes and paella and it was all lovely. I would recommend anyone to come here, one of the best restaurants in Bolton!

Was very much looking forward to dining at the Tapaz after seeing good reviews online, especially with the 50% government scheme in place it seemed the perfect opportunity to try. At no point before our booking (including when we were called and asked to move our pre booked table until later in the evening) were we informed certain offers would not be available. It wasn't until after drinks had been ordered and served that we were made aware none of the special offer menus would be available to us, Despite several of these offers being clearly visibly displayed around the restaurant. When we questioned why the offers were being advertised and not offered we were greeted with nothing but attitude and told "we are getting a good deal anyway". The food itself was nothing special, my husband was served the wrong dish and again the service was poor when he mentioned this. Safe to say this will be our first and last experience of dining here.

Disappointing with the menu to say they were avoiding certain things on menu with it being 50% off. Service was very slow Food was average.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Without doubt the tastiest tapas we have ever had, we went for the fish and veggie options and every single dish was so full of flavour and just so tasty. Good portion sizes. Looking forward to our next visit. Think we’ve found our new favourite restaurant in Bolton.

I personally think it is a disgrace that Tapaz have abused the Government 'eat out to help out' scheme by removing all of their weekly set menus to maximise revenue. The scheme was designed to help get clientele back through the door, however I wont be returning to Tapaz for the simple fact that they have taken advantage. Abrupt service. Decent food which is the one positive.

Went with a large group of over twenty ; because we were so large we had a set tapas mealdespite the number the service was fast and efficient the food was hot and very good .I will be back with my wife to try the varied and interesting menu

So we decided to come and support a local business with the Eat out scheme. Got here and the two offers on the website state;- All you can eat Tapaz £17.95- Tapaz special 3 course £15.95Neither of the offers were available, even when the Goverment are supporting 50% of the customers fee. This is a disgrace. We almost went to a different cuzine in Central Manchester but wanted to support a local business. Food was ok and restaurant clean, but midweek meal is to save a bit but support. Extremely disappointed, and will be sharing with all friends and family.The food and service however was decent and I would of considered a revisit again, if I didn't feel robbed of false promotions that we only were told about once we had ordered alcoholic drinks.

Family of 5 went today for lunch, very nice food and good size portions. Everything made freshly. Reasonably priced as well. Staff are great. Would 100% go back again and defo recommend

Firstly , I wish I had taken pics of the food to share them on here. Absolutely delicious and an excellent varied choice of dishes . We had the Pate, chorizo omelette, garlic mushrooms, lamb casserole, potato bravas, and white fish in lemon and herb. Everything was cooked to perfection, flavours were spot on. The staff are lovely also. And very friendly. Was packed out but didn't have to wait too long for a drink or to order. We will be coming back regularly now. As we want to try the other dishes! Fully recommend this superb place.

Another fabulous visit, nice to be welcomed personally by lovely staff and owner, food and service superb, lovely red wine, lots of courses and my fave ricotta cannelloni, great desserts and liquer coffees, all felt amazingly -'covid safe' but still with the same great atmosphere, thanks for a lovely evening Liz and Andy x

We have visited Tapaz on many occasions previously and this was the first place we wanted to eat out at as we always enjoy it. We were not disappointed. we dont usual book but thought best in the circumstances as unsure how things were 'working'. We were so happy to see that our favourite eating place was just as we remember! Tables are well spaced as always so it looked and felt 'normal'. The service,food and atmosphere were as perfect as alwaus ... in fact the only differences from previous visits were that staff wore face coverings and the menus were paper.... totally acceptable, understandable and appreciated. We had, as always lovely service and food.

Dined with 2 friends and had a lovely meal, the food was hot, fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, very efficient and friendly and Maria made great recommendations. Her Sangria is the best I've had! We were seated distanced from other parties, asked to sanitise on entry and exit and the staff had masks. The measures taken to enforce social distancing and protocols made us feel safe and comfortable. It was my first visit and I'll definitely be returning!

Great afternoon meal for my wife's 75th birthday with youngest son and family. We had the special deal including garlic bread with cheese followed by any four tapas from the very comprehensive menu, great value at £15.95. We enjoyed 2 jugs of Sangria and many pints of San Miguel. As always the various tapas were delicious and the service first class. Many thanks to Tiago, Maria and Kenny. Very well organised following their shut down.

Had dinner with my wife and 3 children. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing, fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend itWill be back definitely!

We visited on the 4th of July, so as many will know it was the first night where restaurants were allowed to open after lockdown. My mother was a little nervous about how socially distanced going out for food would be, but the restaurant was perfectly placed, with good food and great service, would definitely come again!

Been here before for the buffet special (tapas) and have to say the food is amazing, however it was Friday night and no specials on so it was main menu, the tapas are small dishes with the cheapest being around £5 so u could easily spend £50 just on food to make u feel full haha but that’s me, I love food. The staff are lovely, the food is nice. Last night I had the paella which to be honest was nice, not amazing for the price but it was ok, tasty and freshlyCooked, I would go back here but for the buffet tapas at selected times during the week and weekend so please if you go please check the specials prices and times etc before going, other than that you will have a lovely delicious meal in a lovely restaurant

I have seen people say that here didn't take details for track and trace. Not everywhere does. We went 5 places that day/night and 2 places took our details. I am a strong believer in social distancing and good hand hygiene including hand gel. As long as you follow the rules you should be as safe as can be. They also have your details when you book. I booked a table and had to change it. They got back to me asap and were very good and efficient. We went as two couples. We were spaced away from anyone else. The staff all had visors on and kept their distances. The place was so clean and I felt secure being there having a meal. The good was amazing. We are keen tapas eaters as wow here is so nice. The portions are good and the food is all fresh and very night. We can't wait to return Thanks for an amazing night. Keep up the amazing work.

We were greeted very warmly by the staff at the door. We were taken to our table. which was already set. I would have liked the table to set in front of us so that we new everything has fresh. The food was nothing to write home about. The food was very bland and for the cost of the food I was expecting some amazing, but also has ok. At no point where was asked for information for the purpose of tracking. All the staff were wearing face masks which were a good sign. The only person that was wearing one barman which person I think he should have been.

Went to Tapaz this evening - felt very safe, food & atmosphere was excellent, service first class !!! Never had a bad meal here. Well done Tiago & the team - keep up the good work !!

Excellent , Takeaway , the garlic bread was so nice soft and buttery. The paste Bravas lovely with the sauce on top . Got the Portuguese chicken , could’ve done with it being a bit more spicy other wise can’t fault it. Ordered the food in advance and all arrived pooping hot .

Had an amazing takeaway tonight. Absolutely gorgeous food and service was excellent. Would definetly recommend.

Due to the coronavirus and the restaurant being shut, we ordered food to collect at 30% off the current menu (20% if delivered). It was ready on time when we arrived. We had ordered 8 dishes, one of them a paella and they all tasted delicious, just the same as when dining in the restaurant. Would definitely order again.

Just had the most delicious ‘lockdown’ tapas takeout meal from here. Eaten here a couple times before and I can honestly say it was just as excellent. Delivered piping hot..even got a message to say it was in its way.Over ordered..hubby has big appetite but even he couldn’t finish it all off. 3 dishes each plus 1 paella main course.Photo doesn’t do it justice. Highly recommend

This was our second Tapaz take-away and we ordered 6 of our favourite dishes all good portions and as always delicious. At the time of ordering we were offered two bottles of the excellent home-made Sangria, great value at £25.00, still got one left for our next take-away. We were also delighted when the delivery included two large slices of lemon sponge cake which we had with custard, many thanks to Marie. Hopefully restaurants will re-open mid to late May and look forward to seeing you all again.

The beautiful smell of garlic permeates the restaurant as you walk in. The most mouthwatering garlic bread ever! Very delicious food and the staff are just amazing! Very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back! Thanks for a great evening! x

Visited for lunch today with friends. What a gem of a place. Staff where friendly and helpful the food was delicious.

A calm yet vibrant atmosphere, with kind and thoughtful staff.

First time to Tapaz, a really lovely meal and helpful staff. We had the all you can eat tapas and really enjoyed sampling a range of dishes. The food was excellent and I particularly liked the meatballs and the lamb stew.

As always the food was amazing and the service is very good. Definitely be going back, the brushetta is my favourite.

We came for the all you can eat tapas before a theatre trip. The food was absolutely delicious and there are loads of dishes to choose from. It's great value for money!!

We came in last night (22nd Feb) and were instantly hit with a great atmosphere and a friendly welcome off the bar staff. We ordered the Red Wine Sangria which was so delicious it was like drinking juice! The food was cooked to perfection, the Langostinos were definitely the highlight, but everything was tasty, fresh, and came out quickly.

We went for the Saturday all you can eat before 6pm option, we found the food to be lovely and great value with this deal.

I try to eat here any time I'm in Bolton. I've reviewed before (2 yrs ago) and my opinion hasn't changed in the slightest. Never fails to impress. Good food, good service. A diamond in the mud!

This Valentines Night was already our 4th visit this year 2020 and what a great night we had. This special evening provided a super menu with a mega choice of delicious Tapas, followed by strawberries with marshmallows, warm chocolate sauce and coffees, great value at £22.95pp. As always the food and service was first class with an amazing atmosphere as the restaurant really got busy. Many thanks to Tiago and his friendly, helpful staff.

Nice food and nice staff but for tapas they are such big portions you dont need to order more, wanted to try more but was stuffed after first course

I went for the first time very late on a terrible rainy night with my Mum and we were greeted very warmly by the staff, especially considering they were very close to closing time!

Cannot praise this place enough! Amazing food, brilliant friendly staff, quick service, amazing cocktails the list just goes on and on

First time visit along with family. We were very impressed with the speed of service, friendly staff and wonderful food. I’m sure we tried most things on the menu and couldn’t fault any of the items. More importantly, my daughter has a nut allergy but, she was able to eat everything on the menu without having to check what she could or couldn’t eat. Definitely will go again, very tempted by their Wednesday Paella night.

Excellent food and service. Really friendly staff. The place is bright, very well located making easy its access. Being there several times now, and had a taste of the tapas rodizio as well as the menu dishes. The food is really tasteful and the prices are fair.

Meeting a friend one Sunday we wanted some tasty lunch in Bolton but the obvious choices were busy or didn’t appeal. Tapas! I thought, and rightly so.

We had the Sunday buffet and the food was amazing. Piping hot and really tasty. I just wish I could have eaten more but we were so full after 2 servings of tapas.

This was my first visit and will be definitely coming again. Excellent food, the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

We could not decide where to eat I always check my taste card saw Tapaz but when we got there we had the eat all you can buffet it was better value and we are big eaters the Greek salad was lovely the chorizo and patatas brava very nice as were all the dishes. The sangria was well made and was had two jugs lol but what was really nice how friendly and helpful Ines and Maria were makes the night much more enjoyable when the staff are happy to serve and help you they do include an optional service charge on the bill but we added more as service was very good . I would go again and recommend it to friends

Good service from the begining to the end! Very attentive staff and the food was very enjoyable and well-seasoned. Portion size was great and served hot. Good choice for the all-you-can-eat price of £15! Will certaibly go back to try the paella.

First visit to Tapaz and I can definitely recommend. Hard to decide on first 3 dishes out of an excellent selection. Chorizo always wins the day for me and this dish did not disappoint. King prawns in breadcrumbs was equally delicious. The meat just melted off the ribs. Selection of garlic breads tasty too. Will be back.

I've been in Tapaz Restaurant Bolton. Was a Amazing night with life music on Friday. Food is soo Tasty and all is hand made. All staff is soo helpful and professional.

This restaurant is very good, has a good atmosphere, the staff serves well, serves good food and has various events which makes it much more fun. I recommend

I been at Tapaz for a few meals with my kids and the staff are always brilliant, very friendly and very polite. The food was delicious and the environment is always very friendly and very family oriented. We been a few times and me and the kids love it. We definitely will came back over and over. Is the the best restaurant in Bolton in our opinion.

Been there with my family and the service, food and wine was amazing.

We went a group of friends for some nice tapaz last week. And what I can say was great from the beginning to the end from the food to the service wonderful. Definitely will be back soon
