Excellent tapas place. Every plate was good. The only thing to improve is that they don't leave the water jar in the table. So thats a little uncomfortable.

Whenever I am in London at a Trade Show the first Dinner is always at Tapa Tapa. Last night was no exception and it was as always a lovely evening. Thanks to Bogdan we enjoyed a very friendly and attentive service with a good sense of humor. Drinks and food were served swiiftly and in a very good quality. Thank you very much again and see you next year!

I'm not generally a Tapas person and we'd popped in just for a drink after a day at the Excel which is adjacent. But the staff were so lovely and the place comfy so we looked at the food menu and stayed. So glad we did. Absolutely lovely.

Small group of us dropped in here early evening. We were seated promptly and had excellent service during our visit. The range of dishes on offer was excellent and the food was both tasty and good sized portions. Very enjoyable and would definitely return.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here and it was phenomenal! The food was absolutely incredible, each dish was better than the last. The staff, especially Jose and Ashik were super kind, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend checking this place out for a great time and delicious food!

Shocked to receive the bill and see we had been charged for tap water that was poured for us before we even sat down. Some of the portions were tiny! Calamari was about 5 small pieces and the chicken wings were also 5 tiny wings

6 of us had a great tapas meal and left absolutely stuffed. Staff very efficient and friendly. Wine list not so good and expensive for a rather mediocre bottle. One of the waiters spilled prawn oil on my Barbour coat but used salt to get it out. Not sure if it’ll work yet but I’ll let them know if it doesn’t

Great place to eat. Tapas as good as the best tapas in Spain in a beautifully restored building with excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Loved it and the food is fantastic. We love tapas and have had it all round England and Spain and this has to be one of the best. Staff are fab and special dish is the sea bass. Not a whole fish just a small saviche dish with fish and chilli. FANTASTIC!! Not. A big eat but beautiful! Highly recommend if you are a bit adventurous with taste while at Excel or surrounding.

Though I'm not a big fan of tapas, tonight's experience has been a delight. We booked a table for early evening, on a weekday. From the welcome to us leaving, the staff were unbelievably friendly and efficient. As usual the dishes came out at irregular intervals but we had no issue with the quality of the food or the seasoning. I enjoyed the beer on tap, while my wife was pleased with a Spanish gin accompanied by an elderflower tonic. Can't recommend Tapa Tapa strongly enough. Have now been a second time and had a similar, if rather noisier experience. Food, drink and service exactly as above. Still thoroughly recommend.

Did the special group option for 38 pounds per person. Plenty of food of 7 options will be served at the table, mix of vegetarian and meat portions. The food is nice and the service is quick. If you have selected the group option they will come regularly at your table and bring another portion.

Incredible food, very quick to be served and good presentation, very Spanish 💃, even though the restaurant was almost full. It's difficult to get truly Spanish flavours now a days but highly recommended. And the good thing you can share with your families and friends.

Service was good. Food nice however, they charge for table water when didn't ask for it, plus also tried charging me for food item I didn't receive so check your bills. other than that great location and friendly staff.

Came here with my sister and niece for the first time after experiencing the baby show and I must say it was a relaxing and beautiful experience the food was stunning we had the padron pepper, calamari, chorizo, croquettes and a selection of deserts and they was all Devine and it was well worth the money and at a good price too the staff were very attentive and lovely to meet and converse with I didn’t get his name but a guy with a tattoo on his neck served us and he was wonderful and truly made it a great experience :)

We live close to this place but have never been in before today. We got odd of the Elizabeth Line (Underground) at Custom House station and Tapa Tapa is pretty much right outside, in the Excel centre. We were greeted as we went in by a very peasant young lady who told us that we may have to wait for a few minutes for food as they were busy but if we didn't mind they could seat us straight away. We sat and ordered drinks which came straight away and we ordered our food which was served within five minutes. The food was of excellent quality. proper Tapas, as good as any We've had. We had the Bread with Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar ... The Meatballs ... The Chorizo and Patats Bravas .... Any, or all of which I would highly recommend. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will go back ... Soon .... Thank you Tapa Tapa ...xx

Absolutely disgusting, inedible. Sent six out of nine dishes back. Cocktails were tasteless. Would not recommend.

Honestly, if it was a little closer I would permanently haunt this place. From beyond exceptional service, to delicious and well portioned food. This is a little slice of heaven. Special s/o to Sergio and Iñaki, I would be hard pressed to find something wrong - everyone knew what they are supposed to, the food history and level of care is something hard to find elsewhere. A standing ovation for Tapa tapa and their brilliant staff.

Very attentive staff, and good ambience. Traditional Tapas with a modern twist: Chorizo in Cider, prawns, octopus, nice Spanish cheese board, fresh bread and oil, pastas bravados. Really great food.

A gem of a place. The food was outstanding, so tasty and flavoured very impressed. The staff were so helpful and friendly just all round brilliant little tapas will defiantly revisit next time we are in the area.

Staff and ambience were spot on. Lovely warm and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Food however, pretty bland and not how Tapas should taste. The seasonings were just not there, the chorizo was pretty stewed and was an unusual texture and the patatas bravas had been reheated in the microwave we felt, quite mushy. A disappointing £82 spend for 2.

The Spanish food served here is fabulous 😋 - I highly recommend it. We had tapas at lunchtime. There was a variety to choose from along with lovely breads & oil & the best olives I've ever tasted! Delicious! My friends opted for cocktails to accompany their meals, but i choose a beautiful White Rioja which was divine & chilled to perfection. The building is housed in an old warehouse which has been sympathetically refurbished & is very comfortable & welcoming. I recommend a visit here. I shall definitely be returning!

I went here for lunch with my co-workers while we attended a work event at the EXCEL recently. They like the vibe of the place and the decor. The menu is really nice with some good GF options as well. Service was slow as it does be very busy and it is expensive but the food was great.

Booked a table in advance for wife's birthday as we was out at excel centre when turned for book was told whole venue was booked out for private function to which was told on day we tryed to call and we only got email cancellation 2 hours before reservation was due surely with function like was on would have know more than a day in advance

You may wanna check your bill as prices aren't very clear: 9.6£ for hamburgesas, 6.2£ for jamon croquettes and a 5.4£ pint of lager returned a 26.33£ total. Food and staff both very nice, but an unjustified +25% is bound to reflect on service.

Food was a bit bland, edible just not special, Service was fast and friendley

We really liked the food, we first thought only to get desserts, but this was very because the food was to delicious. We got some bread and also some mushrooms. It was really good, but the seats weren’t really comfortable but we only sat down for 30 minutes so this was okay.

Tapas were as good, if not better than many we have had in Spain. Sangria was amazing, great recipe. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely evening.

This little gem of a restaurant serves delicious tapas. Generous portions and really reasonable prices for London (we are northerners). Lovely atmosphere and attentive service. Highly recommended!

Really disappointed by this restaurant. They told us that we would need to sit on a bench type table as we hadn’t booked. I asked if we could have a small table by ourselves and was told no. A couple joined our “bench” and were talking quite loudly, not very loudly but as we were sitting so close to them, we couldn’t not hear their conversation and it was not possible to have a peaceful meal. We just ate and left. I saw at least 6 empty tables that were unoccupied the whole time we were there and we were at the restaurant from 7-8.30 so they were unlikely to be all booked. I concluded that the restaurant manager had decided to squash us on the “bench” to keep the tables free - to maximise their revenue. But it spoilt our experience and although the food was good, for this reason we won’t go back. So th

What a lovely place. Our waitress Dania was excellent. Attentive but not overly so. We asked her advice on how many tapas dishes to order and she was spot on. The food was superb. We especially liked the meat balls. Dania told us how they make their Tortilla which we will be trying. We were not rushed at all and the atmosphere was very good. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Best tapas I’ve ever had in the UK. Food was freshly cooked and super tasty. Service excellent, good vibe / ambiance. As others have said the tables are small so have to shuffle things around a bit but not a problem. My only slight frustration was they bought water to the table that looked like tap water. To be fair I didn’t clarify but we were charged £2. Felt a bit underhand. They add a discretionary 12.5% service charge to the bill which to be fair is becoming the norm these days but just for awareness! Would def highly recommend and would go back. It’s pretty much right outside the west entrance to the Excel.

First up - no working hand dryer and no hand towels in the bathroom! Not pleasant... Sure it was cheapish, but we left 1/2 of it so go figure.! A poor lunch - and asking for tap water, but being charged for 'filtered water' just disappoints every time. The chicken wings were served up 'warm' but totally lacking in any flavour and a couple of salads that got eaten but weren't anything to shout home about. The chorizo was lacking any texture - like they'd been sat around in sauce for a long time. £45 for 5 plates and water - I wouldn't go back, a sandwich would have been better.

Great food and good service however the experience was slightly ruined because the door kept being opened by people entering / exiting the restaurant and you could really feel the cold inside to the point that my wife kept her coat on the entire time. This wasn't the staffs fault and they did try to accommodate by closing the door every time someone came in which is realistically impractical. I would definitely say that they should try and find a way of keeping the place warm in the event of such cold weather. Maybe an automatic door or a second entrance

One of our favorite places to eat during our annual stay! Love the food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Can't speak on the eat in but the delivery was inedible. The boquerones were off, so fishy and disgusting. Pan Catalan was so soggy. Championes were cold and soggy. Croquetas were cold but could just about eat. If the food is the same in the restaurant it should be shut down.

We had sangria - lovely! 15£ each for a big jug Then steak ( very nice but comes well done) , beautiful meatballs , lovely croquettes, Spanish tortilla, tomato bread. Then had the amazing home made desserts. Shout out the host who changed our table to a better one and looks cool af. And shout about Anjana who gave us great service all night. Food comes very quick. Better than Barcelona tapas ( la boqueria) from experience!!!

My first visit and was very impressed by the menu and the staff all of whom were excellent. The tapas were all authentic and very high quality. I had meatballs, ham croquettes and crema catalana all of which were excellent value.

Went there for a quick bite during my visit at exibition centre. Overall the restaurant in the area in my opinion are not great, especially the ones inside ExCel so I wanted to try something different. I was surprised by portions that for London standard are big. The waiter suggested 3 dishes each but I would say that 2 is more than enough. The selection of cold meat is very good, and also the octopus was amazing. I give 4 stars because it is expensive but given the location it is kind of expected.

Absolutely smash it every time, especially when Giusy serves us. She's incredible, I only go to Tapa Tapa each time I visit Excel. X

Food was great, the sauce on the patatas bravas was ace. Meatballs were good. Overall the food was very filling, even in those small bowls. The starter (bread with tomatoes) was very good. Atmosphere was lovely, prices were perfect. Waiter was accommodating and friendly :)

I want to appreciate and give thanks to a fabulous staff : her name is Guisy! She gave the best service and such an amazing lady. We came quite late after Robert Kiyosaki’s event with Success resources. Technically she should not let us come in to order food. But she still served us cause there would not be any food anywhere else. As a business owner myself, she is the kind of staff that I would like to hire and even promote to manager level if they are willing to go the extra miles. She is willing to do the extra work and help to increase the revenue even though she does not have to. She served us well and very helpful and friendly. Please give her a pay rise or bonus at Christmas!

Very quickly seated and served. The food was excellent, tasty and reasonably priced. We had four dishes which was perfect for us. I would happily eat here again

The staff denied access to our party even though the restaurant was deserted. My daughter has an assistance dog, the dog is highly trained and is a disability aid, not a pet, he can not be denied access. This right is in the Equality Act 2010. Apparently Tapa Tapa have unique building insurance which prevent assistance dogs, no doubt guide dogs and by extension people in wheel chairs access. Disgraceful! especially for a business relying on trade from one of the UK's biggest and disability friendly exhibition center's. The staff were rude and unwilling to listen, even when presented with law explaining it didn't matter because they weren't English. Spend your money elsewhere!

Located a short walk from the DLR station and off the walk way to Excel conference centre. In a previous ware house so interior is very dark with low ceiling, wood floor and exposed brickwork and wooden beams. Reasonable comfortable chairs, small Tables - will Struggle with tapas dishes sharing on a table for 4- Table does not have adequate space. Atleast tables are spaced out The Boquerones-anchovies was average - it was overwhelming taste of vinegar and tasted very waxy. Very underwhelming dish! Service was poor, not attentive to orders , waiter managed to bump into table with a child chair although huge space between tables then another waiter brought someone’s red wine and had to be informed that was not on the order! 4oz filet de veil was cooked perfectly but two tiny patatas bravas and 4 padrons are laughable. Potatoes don’t cost very much so why be stingy ?

We got in at 5.15pm, pretty quiet inside to start off but it meant service was right on point Great food and drinks , and all appeared pretty rapidly - by the time of leaving was looking pretty full Steak was a particular highlight Thanks to the staff for looking after us! The food was a good standard, the portion sizes were bigger than expected. Our waiter was pleasant. Only thing that let it down was the state of the toilets. They were horrible. So unclean and had no toilet roll. Made us question the hygiene of the place

Here atm. Wished I wasn’t. Nothing like a tapas. Ordering desserts, but still waiting for some mains. Potions ridiculously small. Had to ask for bread and olives!!! For goodness sakes. This place does not know what Tapas is if they fell over it.

Vegetarian croquetas are good, calamari is not tasty at all though. Chocolate mousse for takeaway is given in a very small sauce container. Very friendly staff and servers. I would advise the restaurant to be more generous with quantities.

I have been to Spain twice and not enjoyed the food (although service was okay) today I have learnt that I should not have be so close minded. Jose also gave an amazing experience, extremely friendly, treated us like we were family and gave us his choices of foods when I told him what I liked to eat. I would honestly come here again with family if it wasn't far from me.

Lovely, relaxed venue. Had drinks and tapas. The tapas were excellent. Never thought I would rave about pan Catalan, but the flavours were perfectly balanced.

The staff treated me and my friend differently, probably because of the colour of our skin, or he seemed to be having a bad moment... because I watched him carefully attend to other individuals with a little more respect.. However , I will choose to believe he was having a bad moment at the particular time we entered 😉...

Loud and food isn't good. The host and the another gentleman provided good service but the waitress was less than average. Will definitely not be returning.

Estupendo! We have been going to Tapa Tapa for a few years now, we try and go a few times a year for birthdays and special occasions. We typically have the tortilla, albondigas, gambas, croquetas de jamon. Food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. Waiters...

Pretty sure the calamari was out of a packet, chicken wing sauce was Heinz tomato soup, burgers tasted like they had been cooked about a day ago. But the waiters and waitresses were nice.

I recently dined at Tapa Tapa, a Spanish restaurant in an unexpected London area. The restaurant focuses on traditional tapas, offering a variety of Spanish dishes. The pan y tomate lacked salt and the tomato flavor fell short, overshadowed by an overpowering garlic taste that persisted throughout the meal. However, the boquerones stood out with their well-balanced, vinegary, and herby profile. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the ceviche, even though it's not traditionally Spanish but South American. It was a wise choice for a warm summer evening in London. The ceviche's star was the tiger milk, skillfully balanced with a refreshing citrus kick. The croquettas de jamon were also quite pleasing, with a well-made béchamel, although the ham itself left something to be desired in terms of flavor. Moving on to classic tapas, the chorizo stole the show with its simple yet delicious preparation. Unfortunately, the tortilla de papà y cebolla was a letdown, being a small, precooked tortilla that was then microwaved, resulting in a dry texture. The absence of ali oli was disappointing, even more so since I had requested an extra portion to dip, which they forgot. My anticipation for the octopus dish was met with a well-cooked octopus, complemented by Jerusalem artichoke purée. However, the purée was served cold, slightly detracting from the dish's overall enjoyment. Despite the culinary highs and lows, the outstanding service from the front of the house left a lasting positive impression. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. While I plan to return due to the excellent service, I would recommend that the chef pays closer attention to the flavors of the dishes and ensures proper seasoning. Perhaps a taste test before sending out each dish could prevent the consistent issue of under-seasoning that I encountered during my dining experience at Tapa Tapa.
