Amazing food) drink etc. but honestly, if this pub wasn't ran by the main guy Stu then I wouldn't come again and again. His respect and respect for his team and the customers are what it's all about.

Visited for lunch today after recently moving to the area and was super impressed! We came with our dog and were made to feel very welcome, happily getting him some water for his travel bowl. We had the chicken burgers and fries with onion rings and they were so tasty. Great service and came over to ask if we would like drinks. See you again soon :)

One of the more 'swanky' places in Shoreham, popular with couples. Quite pricey and not a massive fan of the food but the small plates are good. Watch out for the low ceiling when you enter and leave as I've often banged my head 😂.

Just had a fabulous lunch here on 9th December. Four of us had starters, followed by turkey ballotine, I couldn't finish my pudding. The young lady with plaited hair was nothing short of brilliant and even when I asked for some of their cocktail sticks to take away at the end they could not have been more helpful. I thoroughly recommend

Atmosphere seemed nice but food was overpriced for small portions

Food was beautiful. My parents had cod, wrapped in Parma ham, samphire and sweetcorn puree. I had the chicken ballotine and caramel parfait. All very tasty and perfectly cooked. Staff was really friendly, helpful and efficient. Food atmosphere with not too loud music that allows for conversations. Nicely decorated, good a choice behind the bar. We will definitely return.

Very nice, traffic free location in Central Shoreham. Great choice of beers and a nice menu. We shared the small dish, tapas type menu. All well presented and very tasty. Good smooth service. Give it a try.

Moule were a bit disappointing, too much cream, and balance wasn't right, but friend had fish which was good. Service was great and beer selection ok.

6 of us visited The Tap House yesterday at 4pm for a late lunch. Our waitress was really friendly & efficient. All of us enjoyed our starter & mains & the vegetarian options. Nicest place I have been to since moving to Shoreham 7 months ago. Would definitely go again. Thank you guyz.

Wonderful lunchtime experience with duck and fish dishes chosen. Plus a shared salted caramel parfait which was complimented by popcorn 🍿 🥄...!!! Thank you.

Looked at the menu at the Tap house it looked interesting we started with 3 small plates cauliflower steak, pigs cheek and artichoke soup with crispy egg they were all delicious followed by a portion of mussels full of flavour. We just managed a portion of the dark chocolate tart. The staff were lovely definitely back with friends

Food was very good but a little bit pricy.

Nice bar, tasty burgers. Great selection of quality alcohol & a good bloody mary. One of the best places in Shoreham. Visited again for a Sunday Roast. Oh wow, so tasty, perfectly cooked exceedingly nice food. Amazing pig in blankets (best ever!) and cauliflower cheese. Go you will love it.

Don't think I'll be back here again for a while. I've had the roasts in here before a few years ago now and they were really good! But went recently for lunch and I ordered a beefburger. It cost £13 (without chips) so was expecting something quite tasty. But it really wasn't very good, tasted like it may have been frozen or something. I think stick to the roasts on a Sunday. Anyway, it's a nice place to sit outside for a drink tho and the staff are friendly.

A great little Bar-Restaurant located not far from the River Adur. It has a decent variety of local beers, ales, and gins. There was a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating for its size. With outdoor seating, it leaves you in a great atmosphere, especially when the sun is shining and the nice cool breeze from the river hits you. The food I had was very tasty and freshly cooked. There's a good mixture of choices of options on the menu depending on your preferences. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The number of toilet facilities was fairly limited for both male and females. Overall, everything was fairly priced. I had a pleasant experience on this visit, so I would definitely like to visit again.

Sports pub with good tvs and decent food

Been living in Shoreham for less than 6 months and the Tap House is already a firm favourite for me & my family & friends. Fabulous roasts, amazing small plates and a stellar drink selection, can’t fault them and I’m looking forward to many more visits.

Absolutely delish roast with one of the best gravies I’ve ever tried! Little bit of a wait in the restaurant but no worries as it was noticeably busy.

We were there for an early lunch so it took a little longer to get our food. When it arrived it was a very nice burger. Could do with a more extensive menu

Lovely little pub. Was very busy and very popular in shoreham. I would recommend to reserve a seat if you which to eat also go early if you would like a drink. Staff where friendly and quick. I would recommend a visit.

Friendly service and a good selection of food, Ales and Gin’s. We have been here a few times when we have been visiting the area and we have always enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

I had thai mussels here sitting outside a while back which were very nice but also came here for drinks last weekend. Nice cosy atmosphere, beer selection is okay (bedlam, harveys). Would be a 4 star but for the toilets. Only a single cubicle for each gender. The pub is big enough to accommodate better facilities

Held my 50th birthday party at the Tap House on Saturday. It was a much larger turn out than expected but many thanks to Stuart and the team for the food and service and for making us all feel welcomed .

We were thinking of going to either the beach house or tap house we went to the tap expecting the usual pub food ( burgers etc) so we were pleasantly surprised by the menu. 100% recommend going, nice friendly staff, excellent food, good value for money

What a Super local bar/restaurant ...Alfresco Dining with very good service, delicious food.

A really lovely space to enjoy a great range of G&Ts and the best fish cakes and cheesy fries! Can't wait to return and try the chorizo & cheese croquettes that our lovely waitress recommended!

Food was ok. Menu very limited and quite expensive for what it is, music way too loud for a week day lunch time and the barman could do with smiling every now and again!

Had a very nice pub lunch and pint of bitter after cycling the Downs Link to Shoreham. Sat outside next to the pedestrian area. Waitress service. Food looked ordinary but tasted great (could be the cycling appetite). The beer was very good (could be the cycling thirst). The price was reasonable.

We tried the burgers and onion rings with 1x beer each. This came up £40 ish. Beer came up to £5/5.5. The menu is simple and the chef special on a board. Pricing is clear. The service is only at the bar, I believe. We did not get table service only when the food was brought out. Payment is an immediate requirement. I am not sure if service charge is included - i did not see a tip jar. They were decent - thick patte burgers. Plenty of sauce provided as well. We liked the seeded buns. Toilets were small - but spotless. It was a nice place.

We had a perfectly done roast beef for Sunday dinner. Two guitarists played perfect 1940s/50s guitar tunes. Very enjoyable afternoon.

Very friendly but service wasn’t good , had to wait ages for food order to be taken, once we had finished they took our plates away and didn’t ask if we wanted the desert menu or coffee, we had to ask them!, but they didn’t have decaf coffee which isn’t good for a restaurant!, so we left and went two doors away to the patisserie for coffee+ it was warmer in there!!

We came here on Sunday and we were all just so impressed! Staff so attentive & friendly - lots of smiles & went the extra mile for us to have a great time. Food was so tasty, fresh and portion sizes really good. They even let our mains hold off whilst we had a break after our starters. People mentioned expensive but we are from London and thought the wine was extremely reasonable, just over £20 for a bottle of really lovely wine! Cocktails very decently priced and so tasty. Overall we just had a lovely time, the decor is stunning too - we can’t wait to be back. Big thank you to all the staff!

A first time visit for our weekly lunch jaunt. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful , great selection of beers and a very enjoyable Prosecco. The food was obviously freshly prepared and waiting time was very reasonable. all courses were very good and plentiful, good wine choices, we enjoyed a Picpoul de Pinet. The prices are good for the quality of the food and drink. A great experience and a must to revisit

The mussels were good but the service not amazing, they brought a starter and we were for more than 45min waiting for the mains when they came to tell us that they had ran out of one of our choices 🤦🏻‍♀️

It was a wet & stormy Sunday and went to seek refuge and a cheeky tipple. Lovely waiter invited us in and made us all feel welcome even our two little pooches. All the staff were kind & accommodating and let us have a table in the corner at the back as one of our dogs is still young and a little energetic. Didn’t get the young waiters name but he was brilliant with our boys and gave them some treats to keep them quiet. Have never eaten here but will be coming back in the near future for sure! What a lovely place and atmosphere!

We had mussels and to say they were tiny is an understatement. I told the waitress who spoke to the chef. The reaponse was thy were fresh today. Still got charged for 2 portions of mussels. Spent over £30. Total waste of money. Dont normally write reviews but if you are thinking about having mussels dont bother

One of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten (Smoky Bacon cheeseburger)! Staff is super friendly and does a great job, if you’re in town, worth the stop!

Pretty disapointing, now I'm no CAMERA member but it's nice to get a full pint when you order a pint, the Harvey's was good even if the measure was short! And the service was poor 😖

Wow, how amazing is this place. 10/10 for everything from friendly staff, fabulous/tasty & good quality food. The wine was fantastic & you will not be disappointed with both the food & drinks menu. Hi called in the other day after a dog walk along the river and came back through Shoreham via East Street and it looked like a nice place to call in for a drink as place was quite busy .was approached by a lady called Sophie how enquired if i needed a drink or food .i said it was just for a drink and told me it was bar service now .i went in for a drink with the dog as they are allowed which is good and took my seat at a table outside .while i was outside i did a bit of people watching .i noticed Sophie coming in and out of the pub and noticed what a friendly member of staff she is and is always smiling and gives everyone arriving a warm welcome and a lovely smile .i hope you will pass on my observations to her and tell her what an excellent job she is doing for the owners there. Thank you very much.

Had Thai mussels here. Overcooked small portion in a dishwasher type broth. Very disappointing. Overpriced. Worst portion of mussels I've ever had Good service.

When we arrived at this pub, the staff were very quick to say that we only had 30 minutes to order and we’re rude upon speaking with us. There appeared to be no regard to customer service. In the height of COVID-19 staff were handling drinking glasses by the top of the glass. I then watched members of staff clean tables, then handle my drinks which I had just ordered and not wash their hands. Very poor hygiene standards. When ordering the staff member appeared that he did not want to be there. The food itself was average. The burger was fairly cold and I feel that it was overpriced. I would not recommend this pub.

Popped in after a day out walking in countryside. Just fancied a quick drink and cheesy chips. Staff were really friendly and there was a really nice atmosphere inside. Many thanks to the chef who prepared stunning cheesy chips!!!! Will return again soon. 😀😀

i would like to congratulate all your staff at The Tap house for their friendly welcome whenever i come in there . They are a credit to the owners ,especially Robert ,Sophie , and Megan as nothing is too much trouble when i ask for something when you had table service. i hope you will pass on my thoughts about them so they feel valued when doing a great job. i hope they stay for a long time as it is the main reason i come in there and makes my stay there a memorable one . Was good, gives nhs discount. But I thought prices for a salad were quite high. And chips! It's situated in a quaint place...maybe that's why!?

Our server Valencia was superb. We ordered the fish platter and it was fantastic with delicious whitebait and mackerel pate. The Eton mess was the best I have ever had. With huge amounts of freshly whipped cream and an excellent berry coulis. Hoping to visit again one day. Well done everyone!

Always a great experience at the Tap House. The staff are excellent (we were served by the lovely Sophie). Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. It's a lovely atmosphere sitting outside and plenty of choice on the drink and food menu.
