It's the worst experience. Especially the waitress, it's perfect for her to be a Mean actress. Cause that's her, no need to act... Very serious discrimination, during our hour-long meal, this waitress came to urge no less than 7 times (not even bother to disturb other tables 1 time), and every time she came over, her hands and her eyebrows and facial features kept twisting, accompanied by the eye sight with contempt, which almost made me unable to swallow. I mean it's if she is uneducated, but at least be respect and polite to customers in restaurant. Or just leave the customer service industry, be the Queen who wears Prada if she can, otherwise no BB, be responsible The food is nice, thank you, the chef 💞

Amazing service from Erin this afternoon, seated quickly, she checked everything was OK with our food which was excellent, made recommendations especially on the cocktails, will be returning next time I eat out in nottingham, will recommended to friends 🙂

The food is absolutely incredible; especially the tandoori chicken, lamb chops, and salmon. The meat is really high quality and cooked to perfection! You can really taste the spice of India, and the healthy ingredients used. Highly recommend to anyone looking to eat here in Nottingham

Went to Tamatanga on Saturday had an absolutely fabulous meal! Don't commonly come to Nottingham so didn't know where to go but was recommended by a friend. Food was lovely and our server Anna made sure all our needs were met. My only complaint would be that I couldn't come more due to not being in Nottingham anytime soon.

Was served by Paris and Jessica for our meal, both the food and service was excellent! Really enjoyable experience

Came here last week and hadn’t been before but my husband had been previously and said it was good. I had the gun powder paneer to start followed by the goan fish curry. Both were beautiful. Our waitress Anna couldn’t do enough for us and was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

We first visited Tamatanga for my daughter's 27th birthday in 2023. I was blown away by the friendliness of the staff and the gorgeous decor in the restaurant. I knew we were in for a treat and was the perfect place for a celebration, so much so that we came back for my partner's birthday yesterday! They offer a wide variety of Indian dishes. The ones we've tried are delicious, well seasoned and fresh tasting. The spice is wonderfully balanced and compliments the flavour of the dishes perfectly! I would highly recommend trying the cocktails too! There are some very unique mixes that I haven't seen anywhere else. I have often seen "buy one get one free" offers on cocktails before 7pm (I'm not sure if it's every day, so double check with the restaurant before your visit). I cannot compliment the staff at Tamatanga enough! They are clearly passionate people who have a drive to make sure every customer feels welcomed. Massive thanks to the whole team for making our evening special, in particular Anna/Hannah (I wish my memory was better for names!) who delighted our whole table with her bubbly personality! We shall be holding all of our family celebrations at Tamatanga from now on!

We came across Tamatanga by accident but were so glad we did - the food is delicious!I had the thali and it's was a good size and the dhal and aubergine curries were worth on thier own. Staff are lovely even though it was really busy. Would go again!

Visited on Saturday late afternoon with adult family. Excellent thali dishes and superb naan along with a buzzing atmosphere made for a very enjoyable meal. Definitely recommend the Railway Cabin curry (lamb). Absolutely stunning dish!

Ambience, music and service everything is top notch. For dinner I had a Tama Thali had really great options I am vegetarian so me and my friend shared the Thali, for people eating vegetarian I will recommend the mix vegetable the spice the curry everything is in the right consistency. Looking forward to dining again.

Had a pleasant visit to Tamatanga and had a super helpful host Rhonda. She was really kind and patient whilst we made our order and gave some really good suggestions whilst accommodating to our needs.

Ordered food lotsof times only once has the food that was ordered arrived in full . I have just had the rudest man calling me lovely on the phone trying to tell me my order wasn't correct because of deliveroo and i should contact them , i know deliveroo do not pack the orders or sign them off . We visit the restaurant lot's but will think twice rude people if you pay for something you should receive it .

The service was speedy, and the ambiance was fantastic. The taste of the food was truly exceptional, showcasing consistently high standards. Our extensive order left us so impressed that we decided to pack the remaining items for a takeaway. Overall, a delightful dining experience.

The service is here was absolutely lovely! Was looked after by Kirsty, she has a lovely personality and very approachable! Food was delicious. It was my birthday today, and hit a little cake at the end, was a lovely surprise. 😄

Went back after a long time. Their service was amazing. The lady at the entrance never let go of her smile, regardless of how tired she was! Food as always, brilliant. A thaali works for two so you can enjoy a proper, reasonably priced meal. Remember that their portions are big! Definitely will be going back 💕

Always love coming here when I’m in Nottingham. The lady at the front desk is always so friendly and keeps a smile on, even when it is so busy and manic! The food is delicious. Must try the lamb chops and the thaali.

Faith is lovely and helped us all night

This is a lovely restaurant. Authentic flavours and decor reminiscent of India fused with modern western. Absolutely loved it. Food was really delicious, staff friendly, value for money. And we loved being somewhere with not a mask in sight.

Spontaneous visit with a couple of friends. When we got to the door, we weren’t able to get a table straight away as it was mega busy. Tania, advised us that it would be up to an hours wait. My friend was on crutches so we waited in a little seating area in reception. I was really impressed by the way Tania handled the never-ending flow of people. She never got stressed or flustered and smiled the whole time. Our server Jasmin was equally as lovely. The food was deeelicious and filling - I had the TAMATANGA SALMON. If I could give 10 stars I would. I’ll certainly be back.

Went to Tamatanga today, and the food was amazing, as always, but felt there were no Covid safety precautions taken. Even though we are not legally required to wear masks or social distance, it would have been reassuring to see some measures taken at the restaurant. All customsers were seated in a small corner of the restaurant together and the staff wore no masks or tried to limit close contact with tables. Several times during our meal the staff, who are extremely friendly, returned unnecessarily to our table to remove dishes and came into close face to face contact with us. The layout of the large restaurant meant that even though there were only about 6 tables occupied, they were all in the same section rather than spread out. This combined with the complete absence of masks, and therefore any perception of safety measures or concern over transmission resulted in an uncomfortable experience that won’t be repeated in the near future, which is a shame because the food is wonderful.
