Noodles were soogy and drenched in sauses, and the salt&pepper squid had a really thick batter and was underseasoned

So good.....really tasty..ordered hot curry and did not disappoint...yum

The food here is high quality, authentic and really lovely. Great portions also, I called ahead and the member of staff was helpful and attentive. Ive also had the pleasure of speaking to the owner who genuinely cares about customers and the experience customers get. Food is always awesome from here, unfortunately tonight there was a very long hair in the chicken curry and had to throw it away, very disappointing for a £50 takeaway!

Deverstated. We have always ordered from here for a special treat and know that the times can be slightly later than advised. But tonight was ridiculous, 3 hours for our meal when advise 1 hour 40. Then to be told the food has just left and will be with us soon, 35 minuets late still nothing. Called and told they were in NR7, we are NR1! Still another 20 minuets to be told we could have 10% discount next time. The delivery driver finally turned up and sound like they had a night of it and said there were numerous complaints. I really had higher hopes and always enjoyed our meals, incredibly disappointed.

Just had our first Take Thai and its honestly the best thai takeaway we have ever had. Full of flavour and ready on time, its a must have takeaway in the city.

Immaculate clean premises, friendly staff. Speedy service and totally DELICIOUS food. The best crispy chilli beef we’ve had. Loads of beautiful veg and fresh lovely sauces. This is our first time and we would recommend and will definitely return. We spent £11 per head and had a feast for four people. Thanks :-)

First time ordering from here and will definitely be back again! The green curries and coconut rice were lovely and plentiful and tasted amazing. Also appreciated the complimentary Thai prawn crackers and sweet chilli dip as had never tasted the Thai version before. Price was very reasonable too. The lady on the phone was also very friendly and helpful. This will be our new go to Thai takeaway!

Great local Thai place. My boyfriend and I are coeliacs which can cause issues when eating out but Take Thai were very accommodating and have plenty gluten free options for us to choose from that are both decently sized and decently priced! Staff are also always friendly- highly reccomend!

Awesome food, working our way thru the menu. so many great dishes to choose from for all tastes, spice and heat levels. Chilli Bomb bombs are to die for. Recommendations have also been spot on.

Fantastic little takeaway on Dereham Road. Unfortunately I don't live close to it anymore, but I'd recommend anyone to check it out if they're interested in Thai food. They offer loads of different choices and also a really wide array of things for non meat eaters which is refreshing. Service was always really friendly and I never had to wait long for an order. Great!

We used to love Take Thai but its gone downhill. We ordered plain noodles, two mains and a starter and it came to £44. For this you expect some quality. Unfortunately the crispy beef is pure batter, the pork belly is just pure fat swimming in BBQ sauce and the starter and noodles were bland with weird textures. The sesame toast was a stodgy grey mess that was inedible. (pic attached) Shan't be using them again. Update following Take Thai's reply... I'm sure it's that sort of arrogance as to why it's gone downhill. Well done on your award, the judges must love grey stodge. Update #2 since Take Thai have now edited their reply and I see they have left a more professional one. I'm sorry you dislike my review, its just honest. I didn't take any other photos of the food as I don't tend to do that. I only had that one of the very disappointing sesame toast as took it to send to a mate as was shocked by it so happened to have it. We have used Take Thai about 4 times previously and did attempt to speak to someone about it but got fobbed off. I'm sure you can do better than what me & my wife experienced but the whole thing as left (quite literally) a bad taste in out mouths so we won't be using you again which I'm sure you're not bothered about. With regards the updates, I am merely replying to your comments. How is it that you can keep replying but we can't? We did contact you the night in question so not sure why you mention we should have done that as we did. (confusing) Maybe at some point in the future, we'll give you another try when the dust has settled, and if it is better then I will of course change my review but at the moment it still stands. I only replied the first time as all you wrote was, "We didn't get voted best takeaway for nothing". Which I didn't think help diffuse the situation.

We had a Thai yesterday which was the best Thai takeaway we’ve ever had. It was our first from Take Thai, however it won’t be our last. The menu is extensive and we look forward to trying even more dishes. Already told several of our friends who also enjoy Thai. My partner and I have travelled several times to Thailand and can honestly say our meal yesterday, reminded us of the lovely food we had there. We had Gang Keowan chicken curry, Penang chicken curry and a large Khow Krati rice between us. Delicious.

Just had a takeaway from here absolutely amazing. Very filling and superb value. Was almost full just after the Tom Yum! Friendly staff.

Just had our first Take Thai after recommendation from Friend . Drove back to Thorpe St Andrew and still piping hot . Got to say , tastiest Thai we have had on a long time . We were told the order would take 1 hour. It took 2 hours. I called, they didn't seem to care. When it arrived, one dish was missing. It was expensive, late, and/or missing. I would avoid.

The staff were lovely and recommended me some lovely dishes after asking me what I was looking for. The quality of the food has never changed, I always love a place that can maintain their quality consistently. Would definitely recommend. Can't wait to try their homemade spring rolls again!

The staff are polite and courteous and will always accommodate any requests or "tweaks" to a dish. The food arrives hot and fresh, on time and on most occasions earlier than expected. We ordered and collected food at Take Thai and the service was brilliant! The staff there were so accommodating and friendly. Have had their food several times now, and will definitely be treating myself to this again! The papaya salad and steak salad will never miss, they are my go-to favourites.

We once collected our food, got all the way home (10 minute journey) to find out that they hadn't included some of the order, they were not very apologetic and made us come back to get it.. Have them the benefit of the doubt and tried it again later, but we were given raw batter.. I have tried to use the online messaging service 3 times but have had no luck in getting a response. *update* Once again Take Thai has failed to impress. I emailed the email address given to me in your reply over 3 weeks ago and still have heard nothing. This really isn't on as we were served RAW batter. Definitely would NOT recommend using this takeaway, The House Thai takeaway is much better. *update 2* I have emailed you on several occasions. This complaint is genuine, how kind of you to accuse me of it not being so. Although looking through your reviews you have had a lot of negative ones lately so maybe this is why you try to falsify them. Please find attached the photos of the raw batter (There was more than one of the tempura with raw batter but I only took it of these ones), for World to now see. As well as the "large" tub of satay sauce I was promised after having to drive back and collect this after you forgot it in my order whilst offering me nothing else. :) P.S I can even add the time stamps of the photos so you can't say they're false?

Delicious! I'd recommend the mushroom Tom Kha soup and nan banana. Both made me feel better when I was unwell. Cooked with soul 😋

Ordered food to pick up being told it’d take 30 min. Came to pick it up and was told it was going to take another 10 min. Still not ready. I just got it now after another 35 min! The girl on the counter needs a pay rise and at least one more colleague. I was offered 10% off but to be honest that felt more like an insult after waiting an extra hour. Won’t order from this place again, plenty of other thai food in Norwich. How much does it cost to add another staff member foh and one boh so you can stick to the times you’re telling your customers. Also, it’s 2022, should invest some money in the ability to add the order online instead of calling every minute until the line isn’t busy

Superb quality food, good portions at a decent price for the standard. An extensive and varied menu with tasty freshly cooked dishes. No sloppy glutinous sauces or pre cooked dishes here. Our delivery was going to be 1 hr 15 mins but in reality was little more than 30 minutes. Would highly recommend this Thai restaurant.

The Thai really is miles ahead of anything else I have tried in Norwich and the V3 dish brought me right back to Thailand. Very enjoyable! Highly recommended.

Usually is absolutely fantastic food and I was very much looking forward to eating but apparently this restaurant doesnt take card on weekends including Fridays. I don't understand this but this has massively put me off at a time like this where I have to go get cash to get a delivery. I was told this by the lady on the phone and I quote "we have no way to take a card payment at the weekend" Your website is brilliant it was who ever told me on the phone..friday evening. Poor service again by a young lady "sorry we are too busy to get to the card machine" such rubbish on a Monday night.

Amazing food. Always fresh and the best. This is the only take away we eat as we just can’t find anything better. Even our ten year old son looks forward to it. Lovely friendly staff also.

By far the best Thai I’ve had in Norwich, the service is impeccable and the food is always amazing. I’ve been going to collect and ordering delivery from take Thai for years and have always had a 5* experience, when wanting to try something new they’ve always given me great recommendations based on having got to know me and what I like. Not up to par really, compared with other local Thai offerings. The taste and blend of spices just didn't ring true.

I've used Take Thai for many, many years, the food is always consistently good. I'm providing this review so you can hopefully use this as constructive feedback. I think Take Thai must be having some delivery challenges at the moment. The last 3 times I have used Take Thai, the delivery times have taken so long. This week for example, I was meeting some friends one evening and we decided to try an avoid the lengthy delay we had before. So we phoned through and placed our order at 5.15pm for delivery between 7 and 7.30pm. We actually didn't receive the order until 8.05pm. At 7.33pm we called to ask where the food was, "the driver is on his way, he should be with you in 30 minutes" was the reply and not very apologetic at all. We then said "well if it's taking 30 mins our food will be cold"?, "let us know if the food is cold when it arrives and we can arrange a discount" was the reply. 8pm arrives, still no food. We call again and were told "driver is 4 mins away". Eventually the driver turns up at 8.05pm and said he had come straight from the shop. So I would really recommend being truthful about deliveries too. A better response would have been, I'm sorry for the delay, we forgot to cook your order, we are doing it now and will get it straight to you and as a gesture of goodwill we will provide a discount. I really hope these delivery issues get sorted as I would hate for this to impact what is usually a flawless business. Very best of luck going forwards TT.

Fresh and flavoursome food. W1 Quorn stir-fry tasty especially with the cashews and very tasty chicken in the W7. Loved the jasmine, coconut and sesame rice. Found the Thai crackers a little spicy for my taste. Delivery on time, by a friendly young man. Would get take-away from here again and recommend to others.

Best Thai in the area! We've tried others but always come back to Take Thai, great flavours and loads of choice plus good portion sizes. And the young lad who answers the phone is always super friendly and helpful.

Such great food and really fresh and authentic too

I had the quorn panang and it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever eaten. Our only problem was that when ordering we weren’t asked whether we wanted chicken or quorn and they assumed chicken but we are vegetarians so had to throw half of our food away, it was kind of our own fault but if there were more than one option clarification would have been helpful. Nevertheless the vegetarian dishes we ordered were amazing! So would go back and order correctly next time.

Food is always fantastic but no matter when we order, it never appears to be on time which is becoming frustrating. The last 4/5 occasions it has always been way over our allotted time slot and then this evening it was 40 mins early- if you have children to put to bed then you’ll appreciate that this is frustrating as it means the food just sits there! That said, food is always faultless but equally disappointing that the timing is always poor
