Lovely welcoming staff and a great vegan lunch!

Food which we got does'nt even smell like Indian, so Bland, tomatos and onions in the curry was cut into halves and not even boiled, and chicken biriyani is just the pilau rice with turmeric and salt, and they are using Tesco's pita bread as i saw the man in the till opening the tesco product and giving inside the kitchen not freshly made at all,i would not recommend anyone else for this hotel, absolute waste of money, pls dont spoil the name of the Indian food by giving these cheap product and cheap taste

Very nice restaurant located just outside the town centre near the cinema. Staff are attentive and helpful. Ordered a starter and a main. The portion sizes are very good for the price which is on the lower end for the area. For the starter I chose the vegetable samosa which came with a small salad and a lightly spiced dip which were both flavourful and thoroughly enjoyed. For the main I opted for the chicken korai with pilau rice and naan as sides. Each came in its own dish along with a warm plate to dish onto (All dishes/plates for the mains are warm/hot to the touch). Again plenty of flavour in every part of the main. I would highly recommend this restaurant of you are staying in Oban. It is also just along from a large carpark (about 100m) and a number of B&B accommodations.

Worst service ever… Tried first time Duck curry which came uncooked and onions in all curries were uncooked. Waiter service was worst when we came in he is not so welcoming and did not wish us and so proud behaviour taking order. Worst paying to this restaurant. We came from Edinburgh for visiting castle and tried eating some Indian food but worst service and worst food ever.

Come on is it Indian not even it’s disgusting me being Indian bet you on it the taste was the worst and the attitude of the staff was on next level the staff was explaining that the owner of the restaurant is fine with the attitude of his towards us by not responding properly with us come on they need to respect the customer first and more over if they don’t want the customer they need to close the restaurant or not to take us in

The worst restaurant I have ever experienced Firstly when I came in the staff was in a confused mindset weather to take or not to take us that was the most disgusting and more over when we got in and ordered the food it wasn’t even Indian flavour we ordered a lot stuff but only was saag paneer was good but rest of the stuff was not even cooked properly and then the story began the staff started explaining how it is not cooked so silly I being an Indian suggest not to go in please please not to visit it

My second time eating here. The first was about a year ago. We had an excellent meal each time. The menu is quite varied and both vegetarians and carnivores will find interesting dishes. We were the only ones in the restaurant this last time and, of course, the service was exceptional - it felt like they were cooking just for us but actually they were doing quite a lot of take-away business. Both times I have been there the proprietor was extremely attentive and gave us excellent suggestions. I'll be back!

Honestly, even 1 star is a lot. Refusing service to people based on their origin is extremely rude. We went there twice and were very immediately lied to and refused service as the restaurant was "fully booked" and was going to close soon. But we could see that it was open for a really long time and tables were empty. The second time they insisted on paying minimum 15 pounds per person. I mean, why do they even have a restaurant?

Absolute worst experience in a restaurant i have ever had. The staff was extremely rude, felt a lot of racism towards Indians, inspite of being an Indian restaurant. Will not recommend anyone to go there

Worst place I have ever seen. They were lying about having reservations and rejected service even though they were empty. When we visited the place they lied about minimum order being 15 pounds which wasn’t for anybody else. They do not even deserve 1 star.

Quite disappointing to see restaurant staff be openly impolite and refuse to serve customers without reason.

They gave duck in place of mutton on Christmas eve. Not so testy. Starter is ok.

The food was very good - negative trip advisor reviews almost put us off. All sauces were home made and fresh, side dishes flavourful and fresh. On this Thursday night the restaurant was not very busy, and due to a very cold night they put on an extra heater. Our waiter was attentive and professional. Overall a good meal out.

Food was tasty, but oily. Gluten free options were limited. Hair on naan bread. Ordered a Cobra, got a Cola. 🤷‍♂️

We went there and the bald guy was so rude . We went there at 9:40 and restaurant closes at 11:30 still guy was forcing to take away and he was the rudest person i had ever seen

Food quality here is rather low. The butter chicken is disappointingly sweet, and it’s texture is odd given that it has coconut shreds in it. Same issue with tikka masala. Overall would not recommend The lentil soup was good however.

Nice service and good atmosphere. But sorry to say this. The food was terrible. The chicken tasted a bit off. The curry and the biryani was a disgrace to be called Indian even if the restaurant is a Bangladeshi one. Please try to serve something authentic. Doesn't matter if it's Indian, Bangladeshi or Pakistani

Popped in this evening unreserved for a meal with the hubby and was not disappointed at all. Amazing food. freshly cooked. Lovely atmosphere. Staff extremely friendly. Definitely return next visit to Oban! 💯%

Very good food and nice people. I forgot my mobile there and they brought it back.

It started with a weird vibe with the welcoming and order by one of the crew members. Then everything came smoothly, we took lite dinner at late time. Served quickly and it was very tasty. We finished everything in half an hour (When checked by the crew during our dinner, they seemed satisfied that we were eating everything) and no issue at all overnight as mentioned by others. We took the kashmir chicken and kashmir vegetables and it was really good, not dry, really sweet and with taste. Prices are correct.

Hmm. Independent of other reviews I would rate this a 3.5. I just don't think there was much spice to my dish and it was rather oily. I was expecting medium heat as indicated-and it had the same heat as bread and butter. The lamb tasted very good. Naan had the consistency of pizza dough. The waiter was attentive and service was fast.

Here's what I ordered last night: Chicken Biryani Spiced Poppadom Chuntey (chutney?) Chicken Chaat The biryani had cucumber. If you are having authentic food from the subcontinent you shouldn't have cucumber. No. Never. Poppadoms were plain. The chutney was not chutney. It resembles a jar of chillies aesthetically and smelt like tomato oil. I didn't even bother tasting it. Chicken Chaat? Lol. Nowhere near Chaat. It was a weird curry that had little to no flavour or spice. I ordered from here as well as another location to mix dishes and regretted both. We stopped eating both sets of food at the same time to save our stomachs from any future damage. My body thanks me today for that decision.

Food is superb well worth the walk to the other end of the High Street away from the tourist restaurants

Order placed online, picked up within timescale offered. Staff friendly and food excellent, what's not to like.

Pleasant restaurant with good food. Service is variable, judging by other reviews. Staff take orders and bring the food but don't seem interested in the customer's experience. When I thanked them on leaving the restaurant, the two waiters at the front desk carried on talking and ignored me completely. No 'hope you enjoyed your meal and hope to see you again' - possibly a consequence of a restaurant that is patronised by holiday makers just passing through Oban.

Delivery last night. Chicken pakora was a disgrace., nan bread cold and soggy pompadour.

Always get a nice meal here, the food is always prepared fresh and you can ask them to make a dish hotter or milder than described on the menu. The staff are very friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

The food was good but it was severely overpriced and a curry in Glasgow's finest Indian restaurants would be cheaper knowing this as a curry conoseur.

No es muy conocido lugar, pero la comida es increíble. Ellos hacen la entrega de alimentos en la mayoría de las partes de Fort William. Muy sabrosa comida India con cantidad mucho mejor en comparación a otros restaurantes. . Siendo un indio, puedo decir sin duda que es mejor comida india en Fort William. También tienen muy buenas opciones para vegetarianos.

V good pizza from here, would defo have pizza from here again possibly the best I have tasted in a while!! Only prob was no salami but opted for donor meat instead and was delicious. Delivered as well, bonus!

Pedimos un pollo madras y naan de ajo. Madrás no era picante, pero no obstante tengo de media tonelada de sal. En arrojaban el bin ya que estaba muy mal.Naan de ajo era dura y seca, también arrojaban en bin.Muy caro, teniendo en cuenta la mala calidad de la comida.Sin duda no es recomendable en esta muestra.

Tenía una gran variedad de platos para llevar, arroz pilau bien, Bombay aloo muy buena, buena, verduras ajo chili a tarka dahl bhaji buena y mala. channa El servicio estaba bien, pero para una comida para llevar escondida en una esquina de una urbanización normal era muy caro, he tenido mucho mejor relación calidad precio de llevar un restaurante decente.

Pedimos desde aquí la noche pasada y me defraudó. El arroz frito especial estaba irreconocible desde cualquiera que haya tenido abd sabía a nada poppodoms Ubicados solo eran como goma las patatas fritas eran duras las setas de ajo estaban sin sabor no hay ni una sola cosa que sabía muy bien que acabó poniendo el aparcamiento en la papelera. Debería haberme quejado, pero cada cosa TBH cuando era horrible no llegué a ver lo que el punto. Pero después de pasar toda la noche con cólicos del poco comí yo pensé que debería al menos probar y advierte a otros. Evitar completamente.

Situado en el pequeño centro comercial en Caol. 5 minutos en coche de Corpach y Banavie. Estacionamiento disponible fuera, op enfrente de co para cualquier otros productos esenciales.

really freshly cooked lovely indian tastes with a very good delivery service, a really hardworking indian family who are people friendly.

The food is oily, the dishes are cold and either too spicy or too bland, the staff grumpy and not bothered to provide service. Horrendous!

We found a nice Indian takeaway in Caol, near our holiday lodge in Banavie. There's a good selection to choose from and the quality and taste of the food was excellent. It's reasonably priced, and can be found in the shopping centre at Caol, a few minutes drive from Banavie or Fort William.

A great restaurant/take away in Caol Fortwilliam. Had a take away from here whilst on holiday in the area. Excellent again, as it was 2 years ago when I was there. Cannot recommend enough.

Walked in for a late night curry and was pleasantly surprised, The exterior of the restaurant does not make it look massively appealing. However, the food was, as it should be, the star of the show. I opted for the Tandori mixed grill with curry sauce. Superbly cooked and flavoured, one of the best I've ever had. The rest of our party were also suitably impressed. Service was really good and quick. Give it a go, it's a goodun!
