Fried rice was cold and more like boiled rice and the chicken and mushroom was slimey like frogspawn . Won't be back

I never order takeaway food.. However last night I decided to order from here. Apart from the Tea House which is amazing I used to dine in here regularly so thought the food would be lovely. I was really disappointed. I ordered beef I'm a sauce which was undercooked and freezing. Fried rice it was cold and salt and chilli chips which would have been lovely had then not been rebooked and cold. It went in the bin. Not cheap at £20 either .Won't be ordering again

Receptionist was lovely, happy and chatty but also seemed so busy (and a bit stressed) I felt bad for her. I picked up an order placed over the phone.

The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic but recently I have been left disappointed with my meal. The Taiyuan is renowned for it's salt and chilli chips which without doubt are amazing but as for my curry I found the chicken tough and overcooked.

Nothing wrong with the food, but the delivery service is terrible, or they can't cope with the volume of orders, in excess of two hours for a delivery and that has happened twice recently.

Used to order from this place frequently, went downhill so went elsewhere, tried again and genuinely the worst Chinese I've ever had. Rotten.

Service looses a star because the staff were clearly stressed and struggling with the amount of orders they had to deal with. Luckily they remained polite to our faces while we waited for our food, but it was still a bit distracting. They no longer offer sit in after COVID-19, and we really did want to sit in, too. There is perfect space and lovely decor inside that set a wonderful atmosphere for the food you're about to eat, so it would have been even better if we could have dined inside. I digress, however, as this was one of, if not the, best Chinese I have tried in the Falkirk area. Walked back home and food was still warm to eat. I had a Cantonese style Sweet and Sour chicken and it was beautiful. My partner and my father had the same main dish and throughout them eating it they continuously made comments on how wonderful it was. My partner even shared some pieces of his meal with me and I do have to agree, it was fantastic. It was really quite busy for a Tuesday night. I would love to see the dine in option become available at this restaurant again! Will be ordering from here again.

Got a delivery tonight for first time. Food was excellent. Will definitely be ordering again 10 out of 10

Absolutely fantastic place to order Chinese food, never had issues with any service, food,quality. Food is always of a very high quality standard, curry sauce is always consistent in flavour and spice.staff are excellent for help and advice, jenny is a valuable asset to this business.

Je commande toujours la même chose et je ne suis jamais déçue. Le poulet aux oignons et le riz frit sont délicieux. Le service est rapide et on a toujours un gros sac de prawn crackers. La serveuse qui est toujours à l’accueil est très agréable et est toujours contente de prendre de nos nouvelles quand nous venons en Écosse (« Kanyane » sorry for the spelling). Je recommande.

A true gem! We regularly get a delivery from here after discovering it a few months back, food quality is superb. Salt and chilli chips are to die for. Staff are also very friendly and polite. Highly recommend this place!

Ordered and collected from here for the first time at the weekend after a recommendation and it’s absolutely amazing. Staff are lovely and helpful and the food is unreal. Salt and chilli chicken is the best around and everything else was perfect too.

I'd like to give a review but there's been no sit in service for quite a while now.

Ordered from here a few days ago forgot to take a photo, got the chicken balls and a chicken curry food was tasty service pretty decent overall just outstanding, popped in for a collection and it was pretty quick service didn't wait too long either!

Ordered chicken chow mein, no taste, the chicken was very bouncy! Chips were soggy and definitely not salt and pepper. Not impressed at all.

Our go to takeaway. The food is really fresh and quality is very consistent. I love their salt & chilli chips in particular!

Ribs were tiny and special fried rice meat was tough and chewy and pork somehow looked burned and undercooked at the same time. Not great.

Food was bomb, waitress and staff were on point. Travelled all the way from cumbernauld to see if the legends were true. I was right, I highly recommend the place

Great tasting food but very small portions compared to other takeaways. The Teahouse is at least as good and gives a far more generous portion.

Not sat in yet but we've had plenty of takeaways and the food is consistently brilliant. Staff are always really friendly and polite, always following COVID rules too. I see a couple of reviews that say otherwise but I'm betting the customer is the problem. Best takeaway in Falkirk.

Have been getting food from here for a while but about 6 months ago I got a not so nice Thai yellow curry. So I decided I would try again.... Mmmmm not good at all. The dish was watery with no taste and not what the menu said. Iit may be a new chef but it needs to have taste and it needs to be what the menu says

Just ordered as I regularly do. My number flagged up an issue I had a few weeks ago which I had forgotten about. They heavily discounted my order for tonight. This level of customer service is unheard of in Falkirk. Absolutely amazing customer attention . Well done folks

We ordered a takeaway on Saturday, this is a busy restaurant so allow plenty of time for delivery. The order was clearly and efficiently taken. The spare ribs are fantastic as were our sweet n sour king prawns. . We tried a different beef dish and asked for mushrooms with it and it too didn’t disappoint. A really good Chinese can recommend it.

Phoned for takeaway clearly gave my address, but they have my old address linked to my mobile number and sent it to old address then refused to take blame and sent out a replacement to the address clearly given on the phone and then they put the phone down absolute tossers

Slightly more expensive than other take away restaurants but worth it in my opinion for the quality of food. The ingredients are of a higher quality than others we have tried, chicken for example doesn't taste the usual frozen mush you receive from others. Just hope they keep up the standards and not start buying cheaper ingredients in order of cutting costs.

I’ve only tried the chicken fried rice with a side of curry sauce, but it is delicious! Quick service and good price, highly recommend!

Cannot praise this restaurant enough. The restaurant serves amazing fresh food cooked to perfection. My husband raved about his crispy duck my seafood hotpot was a delight and my brother in law had the pork sizzler which was fab. The service was great with lovely friendly staff even though they were rushed off their feet. A must go to for Chinese Thai Cantonese food. Will be back soon.

terrible service, missing items and not even an apology from a rude and misinformed employee. No receipt as proof of purchase (for a £60 order) abuse on the phone for asking for the food we paid for. Being told to pay an additional £20 for salt and chilli chicken, salt and chilli chips and prawn crackers (not sure that adds up) for the missing and paid for items. Don’t know what their priorities are but customer service isn’t one.

Awful Customer Service and overcharged for missing items! We had a party of 12 people over for Super Bowl Sunday, so Taiyuan being our favourite local Chinese restaurant we chose to place our order for the night with them. We called the restaurant at 9pm and read through the list we had written down for everyone. The lady on the other end of the phone read it back to us, missing a few items we repeated these and when she repeated this back to us (on loudspeaker) we were happy that all of the items were available on the list. Chinese food arrived very promptly and driver explained that due to a potato shortage there was no normal chips available (we had ordered 4 portions) and the restaurant had replaced these with sweet potato chips instead (but nothing had been done to take these off the bill as a goodwill gesture even though it isn’t what we ordered) not being cheeky people we accepted the order and even gave the driver a £17 tip (because he is local to the area and like I said the restaurant is all our favourite Chinese).So we gave him his £60 and off he went. Upon opening our bags we noted that a few items were missing one main meal of salt and chilli chicken, a portion of chips and no prawn crackers. We were clearly a bit annoyed but called the restaurant hopeful they would rectify this. I spoke to the same lady who took our order and explained what items hadn’t arrived, she said it wasn’t a mistake and we didn’t ask for those items. I again went over the written list with her and explained since no receipt was attached I believe this was a mistake on their end. She suddenly started ranting that if we wanted the missing items we would have to pay £20... not happening. I asked why no receipt was provided and she claimed that she did not have to provide one, only if the customer asks for it are they given one... nope as I worked in customer service I am aware that if an establishment does not provide the receipt this is no longer a legal transaction. So after explaining this and explaining how much money we had given them she then got extra feisty and was now claiming all of the chefs were home for the night (even though 30 seconds prior to this they were happy to make it for an extra £20). I told her to forget it and that we would require our valid receipt with the correct date and time stamp present through the door by the end of the night as we have no proof we hadn’t been ripped off. Fast forward to 11:30pm at night we received a text from the restaurant claiming that our receipt had been posted through the door as no one had answered and that in fact they had missed out the prawn crackers and they were sitting outside the door... seriously. Almost dying of laughter I went to the door, no receipt, opened the door zero food left outside. So I informed the restaurant that we hadn’t received either, so there are two scenarios here 1. They forgot the door number and rang a random neighbours doorbell at half 11 on a Sunday night and left the items there or 2. there was missing items on the receipt and they don’t want us to have proof of it. Either way 12 customers feel ripped off and will not be returning. Very disappointed Taiyuan.

Went for a meal tonight with friends from London my meal was not good I said to the waiter this is not what I ordered she said is it not, customers were coming in after us and they got served there meal before us I got the bbq sauce before I got my food and I said that's curry sauce and its cold won't be back 🤬🤬🤬

I am a regular here.... but no more. For the 3 rd time in the past few weeks my food arrived cold not warm not even room temperature...... COLD ..... having reheated it in the microwave the taste n quality was poor.... chance after chance we won’t be back * photo is the food that was binned.....

Food is AMAZING, best Chinese I’ve had for a while and has had an amazing redone of the restaurant making it look modern instead of he old pea green colour. Reading the reviews of this restaurant, has made me wonder if the people who put 1 star was in their right mind! Absolutely DELICIOUS. Definitely recommending to my friends and family. Although delivery has let me down a few times, I would highly recommend to eat in or takeaway instead of delivery if you are complaining.

I’ve been meaning to visit this place for years and managed to do so last night.  The menu is varied with choices from all over Asia, the staff very friendly and efficient and the food good without being excellent.  It is all good value too, and I will be back!

We visited this business on the eve of a family wedding. We ordered a takeaway for 14 of us and to be honest we thought there were bound to be issues with the order being incomplete or dishes not being cooked properly. How wrong we were. The order was complete and the quality of the food was simply excellent. The staff were friendly and patient when we were ordering such a vast quantity of food, despite the restaurant being busy and the takeaway orders queuing out the door - always a good sign. Yes, we had a bit of a wait whilst our order was being cooked, but that's only to be expected. We can't say anything negative about the experience, everything was perfect and should we be in the area again, we would definitely revisit

The food is excellent, we’ve been a few times and they never disappoint. The ginger is subtitle and not overpowering. Loved the banana fritter and ice cream. They will adjust the meal to suit your requirements.

Use this place for take away but have noticed it has gradually been getting worse. I only ever order sweet and sour Cantonese style and fried rice. Over the last few months there have been less and less sauce with the meal, today the sauce had the consistency of water and hardly had a taste. The whole meal was very bland. Today is the day I decided I won’t be back.

Fantastic quality food & service. Sizzling fillet steak with black bean sauce was exquisite and the battered chilli salt chips were incredible! Delicious chicken satay, sweet & sour pork, the list goes on...

A wee gem hidden in Falkirk, who knew? We've dined here twice and each time we have been greeted warmly, seated and drinks order taken quickly and smoothly. The restaurant is lovely & clean, the menu, whilst not huge, offers all of the favourites and a few others that made me want to try them all! My son recommends the king prawn chow mein, which looked really appetising and stuffed with juicy king prawns, although I would recommend asking for a wee bit of sauce to go with it if you're not keen on dry dishes. I can also thoroughly recommend the seafood crispy noodles, the seafood (scallops, squid, king prawn, mussels) were cooked to perfection, the green Thai curry was another dish which was enjoyed enthusiastically. Desserts consisted of fritters, (banana or pineapple), banana splits or ice creams. So all-in all a great place for a good Chinese meal. And a very busy place for take away meals too. Price wise for our party of six: 6x soft drinks, 6 main meals and 6 desserts £102.00 representing great value for money. Will dine here again when back in Falkirk.

Deep fried shreaded beef an fried rice was awesome. Place has had a face-lift since I been last and is really nice, bright and clean. Waitress was really very friendly and food came nice and quick. Definitely goin again. 👍

Very good food. Salt and chilli chicken was crispy but tender and quite hot. The side order of stir fried Chinese vegetables was mostly some kind of cabbage and a bit overcooked but the oyster sauce that came with it was very moreish. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Falkirk.

As always, great food. The new waitress wasn't unfortunately. Won't stop us going back.. really like the new decor.

Excellent meal very reasonable pricing

Went tonight with a group of friends and the food as ever was lovely, had salt chilli chicken with a side of noodles and loved it! The staff were very friendly towards all customers including us except you could tell there was visible tension between a lot of staff members which they didn’t keep behind closed doors, a lot of drawing each other dirty looks and outlasting at each other which made the atmosphere slightly awkward and gave across an unprofessional manner. I will be back as the food is amazing though!

Staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Menu offers Chinese and Thai food, they can cater for food intolerances, menu states if gluten free is an option. Meals are always excellent, it is a busy wee place, had a recent refurbishment and the place looks really good and modern. I'm a regular customer so will definitely return.

Taiyuan Falkirk is a tasty treat with friendly staff and quick service. It's nice to have the car park right next to the restaurant as well. The food has never disappointed us, even on a busy Friday or Saturday.

Have been waiting over 2 hours for delivery, spent £40 & still it hasn’t arrived.

Had a Sunday night take out from Taiyuan and the food, as ever, was first class. I would thoroughly recommend the salt and chili mushroom starter, one of the best I've ever had.

Ordered takeout for family took 2 1/2hrs to come cost £43. food terrible was cold had no taste even after we tried to re-heat this is the 3rd time iv had problems in recent weeks spoke to manager who told me he would remake and send but I declined as we had already waited 2 1/2hrs wasnt prepared to wait another 2 as we were all starving

Was really looking forward to ordering a meal for 5 people but because I didn't know the postcode as I'm only house sitting even altho I knew the address they couldn't take my order! Bad practice! I suggest if your driver can't find hallglen then maybe it's time you got another driver or change your practice! I'm so disappointed!

We last ate at this restaurant 15 years ago (Not sure what it was called then as it was an on passing decision) and as it was really good we decided, finding ourselves back in the area, to try it again. I have to say that we weren't disappointed. The quality was good there was plenty. We had Aromatic Duck, Chicken Chow main Beef in a Ginger sauce and sweet n sour chicken Cantonese style, All very tasty. The beef particularly was tender and not rubbery like it can be in a Chinese restaurant.
