Tai Tip Mein in Greenwich

I'm Chinese and I rate their Sweet and Sour pork when you eat it there fresh (before covid), it's crispy and the portion sizes here for everything are AMAZING. They're huge. My boyfriend loves Singapore fried noodles and this place has their own recipe, and it's his favourite dish. Really nice restaurant layout, takeaway is easy and fast, you can trust them because they speak Cantonese and this is genuine Chinese food! I also love the staff :)

Extraño este lugar. Era mi lugar favorito para disfrutar de una comida china excelente y asequible mientras estudiaba en Londres. Realmente no puedo pensar en nada negativo aparte de quizás el servicio algo lento a veces, pero estoy acostumbrado a eso de todos modos.Siempre tuve el arroz frito con pollo con patatas fritas y tal vez algunas costillas cada vez que tenía un poco de dinero extra jajaja. Pero en serio, este lugar me salvó la vida tantas veces que no te lo imaginas. He estado fuera del Reino Unido durante más de 7 años, pero me aseguraré de visitar este lugar en mi próximo viaje. . . aunque obviamente puedo permitirme comer en lugares mucho más caros ahora, pero se lo debo a ellos. ¡5 estrellas de mi parte bebé!

He sido un cliente habitual durante años, los platos de arroz me parecen buenos, pero los fideos y las sopas son muy impredecibles. Las raciones son generosas y los precios baratos. El servicio es nada menos que terrible. Le daría 4 estrellas si pueden mejorar el servicio.

La comida es estupenda, tiene un sabor auténtico, con porciones generosas y un precio muy razonable.No suelo comer a menudo, pero hago pop-in y ordena una comida para llevar de vez en cuando.El restaurante es bastante sencillo, pero eso no me importa, ya que la comida es deliciosa.

Vine aquí por primera vez con mi familia. ¡El servicio fue rápido! Las comidas se estaban llenando. El servicio al cliente fue brillante, fueron extremadamente amables y profesionales. . ¡Me encantaría volver una y otra vez! Los baños estaban impecablemente limpios pero eran realmente pequeños. . 10/10

Estas personas son terriblemente poco profesionales. También son muy racistas hacia las personas de piel oscura. He estado yendo a Tai Tip Mein durante los últimos 6 años, y nunca me han decepcionado en mis muchos viajes. El tamaño de las porciones es simplemente fantástico y vale la pena el precio. Si solo fuera una cadena, ya que tengo que viajar desde Clapham cada vez que lo quiero.Fantásticos sabores y variedad de cocina, a pesar de que me he limitado principalmente a un plato durante todo este tiempo. Hay mucho aceite en el plato que hace que quieras a vomitar. Las raciones son tan grandes que si comes allí sería 2 más grande de tamaños.

We ate takeaway from this restaurant once during a recent visit to London when we were tired and didn't have the patience for a long, drawn-out full-service meal. The premises did not give confidence of cleanliness, so there was no way we were going to eat in the restaurant, and the service was brusque. The food tasted OK, but I think there are better options in the nearby area.

Dies ist eine TAI Restaurant von ausen ist es nur Schäbig. alles in dieser Strasse ist gewönungsbedürftig. wenn man hineingeht sucht man sich einen Platz studiert die Karte und danach geht man den Tresen.Das Essen wird in der Küche frisch zubereitet. Es gibt zirka 30 Menüs und über 30 Einzel Gerichte. Meistens bekommt man einen Teller auf dem alles gemischt serviere wird. Aber Achtung die Speisen sind teils wirklich scharf gewürzt. Habe Für Reis mit Hühner und Rindfleisch, und einem bis oben an den Rand gefülltes Rot-Wein gerade mal 9.30 Pfund bezahlt. Egal was Ihr bestellt es kommt immer schnell und in einer grossen Ausführung. und ist wirklich lecker.

The food is so good and the portions are huge!! I get two or sometime 3 meals out of a portion of vermicelli noodles.

A favourite day and night for 15 years! Although not a gourmet restaurant, this place gets 5 stars because it consistently serves fresh, varied and great value food ( although prices have probably risen a little too much in the last couple of years). There is something on the menu for everyone and the size of the portions are huge. Whenever i get back from a holiday or time away, this place is the first port of call!

When I studied in London between 2003 to 2007 it was my fav restaurant ....roasted duck and chk fried noodles were my fav...huge servings will make up two meals for a student ....good old days...hope to visit in near future

I worked in Woolwich for 7 years and have never missed a good chinese meal every week here. The food is so good and the servings come in big plates. I highly recommend this to those visiting Woolwich.

Went to eat here while in Woolwich with my family. Service was really fast and the food did not disappoint! An order is already good for 2-3 people which makes it all the more worth it. The mixed meat fried rice and roast duck are my personal favorites!

This place has been running since the mid nineties and remains the one untouched piece of goodness in Woolwich. It's quiet, spacious and unfailingly clean, a far cry from the chaos of its tourist filled cousin in Greenwich. You go to the counter and order a meal, pay and take any table you like. Portions are substantial and I recommend the deep fried prawns as the standout starter with a little soy sauce dashed on it. The noodles are especially good, filling and delicious and chicken or king prawn are good. Of the rice dishes the chilli and garlic are good especially if you like a little sauce while the chicken fried rice is a banquet unto itself. They don't do that much but they do it well. After you take your seat the drinks arrive and on a busy day food takes around seven or eight minutes. The staff are quite and extremely polite and if you're a regular they know what you like. The benches are fixed though quite comfortable and they provide soy sauce and chilli oil along with salt. The food is worth the wait though if you're sleeved or banded, stick to a starter. Dark, air-conditioned and with a clean bathroom it's packed Sunday afternoons but otherwise a good bet for good food in Woolwich.

Visited Tai tip mein few years ago, when I used to live in Woolwich.. Gonna back after few years... Food is still the same... Make it according to your taste... And the best of all is their portions... HUGE portions.. I myself can eat a lot.. But I couldn't finish their portions myself... Awesome food.. Definitely recommended.

Its got awesome food, awesome service and good price. Singaporean Fried Rice is the best although its really spicy. I just love it and the portion is quite big. Epic!!!

My favourite Chinese House. Food portions are always a really good size, we usually pay 50p extra for take away boxes and take the left overs home. Food is piping hot and usually only takes 10 minutes from ordering to being in your table.

I have been coming to this restaurant for 17 years ordering the same meal however today my meal was saturated in chili. chili chicken garlic meal is never over powering just enougth spice. I eat hot food all the time but this was too hot, I never complain but o took my girlfriend as I had told her how great 5his dish was and she could not breath it was so hot, she is also pregnant. I explained this to the restaurant staff however there response was because we tasted the food there was nothing they could do for us and offered us some plain rice to mix in to cool it down as compensation. I explained how long i had been coming and that this was my regular dish and that there is so mich chilil that you cant taste the garlic or the chicken but they seemed un interested and even shouted over the counter in chinese. I was never rude to them i told them i was a regular and i was shocked how poor the food was this time and rightly asked for either a replacment or my money back. They would not replace or give me my money back and told me it was my fault for ordering. Obviously 17 years of customer does not matter as long as they get your money. Disgusing

Let me start by saying this is a far cry from fine dining. I think other reviews have been pretty harsh with expectations above the budget level of this place.The food comes in very big portions. They are more than happy to serve 2 big plates of food and give you 2 extra plates so the kids share your meal. In fact they offered as I ordered. I've had a few different meals including sweet &s sour, chicken & mushroom and mixed meat spicy rice. All tasted great. It's not the kind of place you ask 'do you have gluten free' or 'no pineapple in my sweet & sour'. The menu is the menu. 2 meals 4 drinks and prawn crackers came to £20.20 on our last visit. A bargain.The restaurant is bench style. A bit shabby but fine for the price. I've never been bothered by beggars as mentioned in another review but this must be a problem sometimes as there are signs on the walls about it.The staff are always very pleasant to us so can't fault them.Overall - a good low cost meal that fills you up. More a place I go for quick lunch with family or work colleagues. Not your date night kind of place.

If u don't mind about the taste, this is the place can easily make you full with less than 10 quid.Good proportion but less tasty.

Me and three friends decided to make a journey to dine at this restaurant, after recommendation from a few friends. Perhaps our expectation was unrealistic to begin with, which inevitably lead to my small disappointment. The meal was average, service not so attentive but i suppose good enough and ambiance well we were the only one's there, so I cannot fault the restaurant for this but it did get busy later on.

Went here on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The lady behind the counter is rude and not very helpful. 3 of us went as working local. 1 asked for the mixed meat soup but as he had eaten it before, asked for just half the noodles as last time was far too much. "They come as a portion, you get all or you don't have any" he was told. So he said ok I will have none but can I have some veg instead. "Yes, £1 extra". He agreed but the lady was not very polite. I asked for salt and pepper prawns. I didn't see them on the menu but they do salt and pepper squid or deep fried prawns. I didn't think it would be hard for a chef to accommodate this but here she is again with her favourite answer "NO". I had the squid instead. Well the food was ok and the place is clean but when I am spending money I expect to be treated a little better and at least ask the chef or try to accommodate peoples needs. You never know, they just might return and bring friends. Not me though. Politeness and manners don't cost nothing and go along way with me. Thanks for the "ok" food but unless the lady has a personality implant, she won't be seeing my hard earned cash again!

Went to the buffet with a friend, some of the food was good but some of the trays were colder than they should have been. Very small plate for price. Aromatic duck was very dry. Overall not impressed

If you cannot eat pork avoid this place. Every time i ask for a chicken dish, tonight chicken vermicelli, I get pork with the chicken. If you HAVE to use this place check the food in front of them at the counter before you leave. Food is good and they do change your order but again, check your food before you leave as well as your change

Been coming here for over twenty years. Alot has changed with decor, food quality and hair styles!! Still a cheap eat fav tho. Big portions of chinese food to eat in or take away. Menu massive but everything is as it should be. Juices are lush, squid starter not topped by anywhere else so far!

My second time eating here, it's it minute from the train station so handy for a quick bite if you don't want to cook at home.... Don't use the tables near the door as random strays walk in off the street and sit at your table waiting for their bus/lift/taxi or in my case tonight a tramp, begging and waiting for free leftovers (he even brought his own can of 'Tennents Super'.... Staff do nothing.... Not a nice atmosphere.... So maybe get a takeaway!! Quite cheap....
