Tafarn y Gors in Ceredigion

Lovely accommodation and rooms, but beware that there is no WiFi in this place if this concerns you. I would have loved to dine in the pub as the food was lovely if it wasn’t the unfortunate case of having it ‘permanently closed’. Not the sort of place I would stay in compared to last time. <:(

Good spacious accommodation above a pub just outside of Aberystwyth, Crap shower, a bit noisy when the pub is full, but a good location and well equipped for a few nights stay. Parking is fine. Good value for money. Pub was fine too.

Called in to the Tafarn y Gors for a meal, was not disappointed at all, the steak was cooked spot on, friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced, will certainly be back for more. Thanks Gary and Karen.

We have had Sunday lunch here on a number of occasions - always a warm friendly welcome, great service and the food is great and plentiful. This week we took friends to share this little gem with them. If you can manage a dessert after the large roast dinner then the puds are all home made and delicious!

Had a short break in Mid Wales with my Wife and my Dad. This little pub hides a big secret!....The whole of the upstairs is a beautiful flat! and a very good flat it is too. Everything we needed to explore Aberystwyth and beyond! Downstairs is the Pub with very friendly staff and locals, The food is excellent and choice of ciders and beer is great! Overall I would recomend Tafarn y Gors to everyone who wants to visit Aberystwyth without the bustle if the town center!

We stayed in the apartment above the pub which is large and comfortable. A little noise from downstairs when there are a few people in but that is to be expected. If you have had a few drinks before bed, this doesn`t bother you as you will soon be asleep. A lovely place to stay with all the comforts of home.

Was pleasantly surprised a fantastic welcome clean and tidy flat great food very friendly locals. Nothing to much trouble.

What can be here 5 times new all startes we stunning had 1 prawn cocktail 2 garlic mushrooms and 3 garlic bread main meals 1 mixed grill 3 rib eye steak 1 gammon 1 chips ham and egg and all meals stunning family love this place and staff can.nt do enough for you if there was a 10 it would have 10/10

i had an awful stay in the flat above. i went to cook the kids some pizza and the oven monster hopped out and broke my hip. and to top it off every day and night there was people being really loud in the pub from 3 pm till 1 am. wouldnt even wish my worst enemy to this place. absolutely disgusting hosts too the breakfast was shreddies in a dirty plastic tub and milk that was a day out of date.

A warm welcome was received immediately as we entered the building Lunching with friends we experienced a freshly cooked meal, nicely presented & served with a friendly smile. Can’t recommend the venue enough & yes will definitely returning

Booked for my daughter and I. Turned up a week early - doh! The staff were brilliant! They found us a replacement hotel (they were full) and the locals offered us beds if we couldn’t find anywhere!!! Diolch pawn!!!

Called in here today for Sunday lunch. It was absolutely delicious. The portions were huge with a fantastic choice of vegetables. Followed nicely by delicious cheesecake and my husband had apple pie and custard. Price was very reasonable too. Will definitely be returning.

We visited recently and were met with a very warm welcome and cosy atmosphere. The food was delicious especially the homemade Baileys cheesecake. Would definitely recommend.

Our first time eating since the pub changed hands a few weeks ago and we were very pleased with our evening. The pub is very clean, warm and welcoming. We were welcomed and served by the new owners and were made to feel at home straightaway. Our meal was delicious - we both had steak and it was very good with home made chips, mushrooms, tomato, onion rings and salad. No room for dessert as the portion size was just right. Happily would recommend the pub for very reasonable prices, good food and a good atmosphere :)

A stunning place for stunning food and a very nice welcome from locals and we got a very lvly welcome from the landlord if you want stunning food try this place

Enjoyed a stunning 3 course Sunday lunch today, from the homemade chutney with the pate to the flavoursome roast, everything hot and the choice of veg was spot on, tasted so good, must have been all the butter and ending with a an extremely generous portion of cheesecake, which was delish. All served by our wonderful host, Gwilym. Diolch, be back soon

Tafarn y va es el lugar para visitar el tiempo su local o visitar la zona. El encargado te hace sentir en casa tan pronto como entras en el pub. Realmente amable y siempre para pasarlo bien, la comida es excelente, desde un snack bar para cenas elegantes a un precio razonable, y debe tener su almuerzo de domingo . gwilym de gracias. regularmente visitamos este pub de campo para una bebida social y también un domingo maravilloso almuerzo. Altamente recomendado como uno de los mejores de domingo para llevar probado nunca. La cocina casera primera clase con todos los ingredientes frescos, comidas servido caliente y rápidamente por el eficiente jamás encargado, quien es un anfitrión maravilloso. En esta zona es buena para encontrar una tarifa razonable comida magnífica que difiere de masa producidas.

Nos quedamos aquí por primera vez estábamos visitando amigos en la zona. Nos gustó tanto que volvimos dos veces más antes de volver a Londres.
