Always a smile with staff and greeting,excellent atmosphere ,and a good vibe 1st class pint,and resonably priced,food is excellent ,try it yourself ,allround cracking experience,well managed and attentive staff,,known the main man a few years,and he knows whats reqd.

Amazing night on Sunday wonderful atmosphere, Adam the entertainment man was hysterical and very entertaining. Bar staff were great Ellie and Vicky couldn't do enough for our table of 10, food was prompt and tasted delicious 😋 will definitely be returning very soon thanks for a brilliant night 👍

Good service friendly staff and good food

Party of 10, all the food arrived at the same time and it was hot and very very tasty. Kim who looked after us couldn’t do enough for us, all family members enjoyed their food. Thank you so much we had a lovely evening.

Awful food and atmosphere. Food took ages to come out and was greasy and cold, Heard some very bad things about the manager since our visit sleeping with young bar staff and not paying them if they don’t comply with him. Avoid the place.

Had a meal Saturday, four of us in total... really chilled atmosphere and the food was outstanding...compliments to the chef...and polite staff...a fab afternoon out....would highly recommend...

Everything seemed greesey all deep fried pie stated it is home cooked but definitely not very dry, chicken nuggets dry and over cooked, fish was suppose to be beer batter but not crispy but very dry again waited for food while everyone else in the group was eatting and had mine and my dad's while everyone else finished, poor standard of food also service not the best

My daughter had her 11th birthday meal with all her friends at the Tafern y Felin tonight ( 22nd January). I had pre ordered food beforehand. The party went so smoothly. Everyone's meals were brought out together and on time . The food was a hit with the kids . We also had food and it was served so quick and it was piping hot. The service we had was fantastic. Thank you for making Ffions Birthday go as well as it did . Sarah Ps - thank you for dropping off Ffions Birthday card that she left behind ( now that's service for you ) 😉 😀 x

Came in with the family for dinner, lady behind the bar very pleasant and helpful. Dinner was lovely and nice and hot and the beer was good. It’s a shame this review doesn’t give zero stars, I’ve been going to this restaurant for many years as it being my local, however since it’s been taken over by new management this year the hospitality from the restaurant manager is appalling. The staff working at the restaurant are very friendly and they work very hard, however the manager is rude to staff and customers. The manager refused to cook children meals in September only adults when we visited, and yesterday, he made the wrong meal twice for a family member, we were a party of 8 and all had their meals before she had hers 45 minutes later. No apology from the manager, when asked to speak to him he kept making excuses, and refused to come to our table leaving his poor staff to deal with the situation. When a Family member went to the bar to speak to him, his attitude was disgusting, claiming we were rude to staff and started to point at her inches away from her face. When asking the staff if we were rude they all declined and said we weren’t. There was many witnesses to this. Totally unacceptable for a manager to be pointing closely at a customer’s face, he refused to refund us, and the late meal was inedible. We would of requested a refund earlier if it wasn’t for that member being diabetic with low blood sugars. I’ll never step foot in this restaurant again, not until the restaurant is taken over by new management. I would avoid this place at all costs.

We went for curry night, absolutely stunning. My little boy had dippers and waffles with peas and he cleared his plate so always a good sign. Been for meals before also and they are always spot on. Great food 😁

A friend of mine recommended me this place to have an evening meal. However, my food was ice cold, and top of that we had to wait over an hour for basic food. The ingredients did not look locally sourced and look frozen. My gammon was too chewy and had to waste most of it. I have heard that the previous owners were running the place a lot better! It’s sad to say that the new owner has really let this place down! I will not be visiting here again unfortunately. Therefore, I have given a 1 star.

Tafarn-Y-Felin isn’t as good as it once was when the previous owners were there. Food is great when we’ve had it. However kitchen closes early. The toilets need a big makeover as does the outside area. With such beautiful views it’s not a pleasant place to sit unfortunately with cigarette butts all over the small piece of artificial grass that’s there and furniture that needs painting with the real grass on the other side that’s not looked after. Such a shame. Sky sports has been cancelled which is disappointing too. And I’ve heard people say that it’s not the type of pub for tribute acts too. The girls behind the bar work their socks off and the landlord is lucky to have them.

Called on the hop with my Dad for lunch. Very pleased with what we had. I had the Philly Cheese Steak baguette & Dad had the Prawn & Marie Rose Jacket Potato. The steak was cooked as I like - medium/rare. Having been to Philadelphia, the baguette I had today knocked spots off the one I had out there. Very good value for money. In fact, got left-overs for supper. The jacket potato had plenty of filling, with a lot of prawns & a lovely side salad. Didn't really need to order the loaded nachos as the portions were plenty - more left-overs for tonight. We are regulars here & have never had a bad meal.

Called in for a pint and some food to meet a friend. Ordered the steak with peas, onion rings and jacket. It was cooked just the way I asked. Staff where very polite, very clean and great view from the garden. Highly recommended

Visit here at least once a month and can honestly say we have always had lovely food at a reasonable price, compliments to the chef, great entertainment nights too, the last one being "Elvis Tribute Night" Extremely pleasant and cheerful young bar staff, always a warm welcome from them and the landlord. I went here for a change of scenery . I left a review on Google Reviews but I wanted to leave one on here too from how good it was . The food was really good at amazing prices , the atmosphere was so relaxing and it made me feel so much happier leaving . Called in for a bite to eat. Our first time here and we both had salads. A prawn salad and a chicken and bacon salad. Both very nice and plenty to eat despite them being salad choices. Staff were very nice. Overall very leased and would call again.

Having booked a table for lunch we were allocated a table in a less pleasant area.When we wanted to sit at a table in the main dining area we were told we had to sit there because we had our Jack Russell with us.On previous occasions we had been allowed to sit where we wanted. Only 2 tables were occupied in the main area and none of the vacant tables were reserved. Apparently a dog is not welcome in this establishment. If all of their customers were as well behaved as our dog they would be very fortunate indeed. We live a few yards away but will not be patronising them in future. Dog owners take note!

Very disappointing meal on friday, steak was full of fat, when I told the chef (Who was at the bar at the time) he said 'Oh is it?' No apology and no offer to swap or have something else. Very slow service considering only another 2 tables eating. We go there 2-3 a month as it's always very nice. Just gutted I walked out not enjoying my meal.
