Taco Bell in Chelmsford

We use Deliveroo for Taco Bell maybe once a month, and every time there is something missing from the order. I think we have most probably lost about £15 in missing products. It’s a shame because the food is really nice! Just takes a second to check, it could be so easily avoided.

Received order takeout. Items missing from order, tried to phone Taco Bell and they were not taking calls. I left a voicemail and did not receive a call back.Food poor quality with very little meat inside the soft Taco’s (less than a teaspoon). Classic Cravings for 4 - what a joke!I would NEVER purchase from Taco Bell again!

I ordered a meal and they say I got it which I didn't I rang them up to get nothing but a rude young man saying it's not his problem and what I have never been so angry at someone on the other end of the phone taco bell you should be ashamed of yourself employing staff like that I will not be eating at another taco bell restaurant and I will pass on the message disgusting

My order was missing items, I ordered a chocodilla but instead got churros (i dont like churros otherwise i would have ordered them!!) My food was stone cold, greasy, soggy and the nacho sauce tasted like it had been watered down! What a waste of £15!! Taco Bell Used to be my favourate place to go but will not be stepping foot in there again!

I used to love this American style food placeBut I know a lot of people that don’t go any more because they do not sell full fat Coke which is ridiculous for this sort of restaurant poor Why not just charge a little bit extra like everywhere else

I am always amazed at how consistently good the food is in Taco Bell in America but was disappointed to try this UK version. Yes it is similar with a cut down menu but it just isn't the same, the flavour wasn't there and there was just less of everything.It was also quite dirty, food everywhere, they needed to clean up.

As soon as I walked through the door, can I exaggerate the ‘as soon’ the woman behind the counter named Karen shouted across the restaurant to me “can you shut the door”. I understand that this does not sound rude but the look she gave me was appalling and the attitude within her voice I found was disgusting. Also the rice was uncooked and the chicken was cold. I’m not one to usually complain but this really did tickle my pickle. Sort it out Taco Bell! I was a big fan but not anymore.

My first and probably last visit to Taco Bell.No greeting or welcome from staff at entry.I ordered the box meal,beef taco,chicken burrito,fries,and churros.beef taco contained virtually no beef,just a literal smear at the bottom of the small taco chicken burrito contained almost no chicken.barely any taste of chicken or beef in either item.churros overcooked and dried out.Very bland ,not spicy at all.almost zero beef or chicken.Really disappointed.overall a very bad experience feel like ripped off was so bad.

At lunxh in chelmsford for a change and I fancied a change from having a burger and enjoyed a meal here. Food good - staff friendly and helpful.

Popped in for a quick between beer snack. Well priced, quick and very tasty. Even got a beer with my food. Thanks Taco Bell

Very friendly and helpful service, great food that is quick to get and the eating area is very clean.

I dint class Taco Bell as a Restaurant more like a take away, although their are tables and chairs I expect they cater more for the take away market, we felt a bit peckish last week and popped in for a light lunch, it was very noisy mainly with teenagers but we ordered our taco's and a drink and waited for our number to be called, the food was ok nothing special but for only £5 per person quite good value.

Thank you for the Taco Bell in city center, staff very friendly, food was hot and quick, inside was clean and comfortable, would be nice if you could validate parking while eating at your place

Look if you want traditional Mexican food there are a few restaurants in London that specialise in this, if you want "Mexican Fast Food" then you can't go wrong here.

I had never been to a Taco Bell and was visiting Chelmsford and thought I would pop in. The display looked good price etc was all okay so went for a box meal with a fajita, taco and churros.

Returning home on a Sunday late, there were few places open that I could grab some food quickly. Popped into Taco Bell and won't be doing that again. Nachos were like cardboard and not edible. The other food I purchased, a buritto, was also very underwhelming. It's fast food and cheap, and therefore I did not expect 5 stars. That being said, I can safely say I will not ever be going to Taco Bell again

This is just like being at a taco bell in america. The staff is great and helpful. The tacos are my favorite. I also enjoy taco tuesday. I eat here probably about once a week.

When this fast food place opened it was good quick food, but as time has gone by the quality has dropped dramatic. Dry, stagnant food. With hardly any meat in the meals. I won't be returning in a hurry.

I've been here only once and they do a great Mexican food offer. It looks very professional in Mexican food and people should try it especially if you love Mexican.

We decided to spend the day at Chelmsford and after spending time looking at the various shops we stopped to have lunch at Taco Bell this was our first visit to this establishment and we were very impressed with the quick service and the quality of the food, we both had the Grilled stuffed Burrito with chicken which was served with Mexican (French Fries) with unlimited soft drinks, our lunch was just under £10 which was very good value.

Me encanta la comida Taco Bell para rápido y sabroso. Normalmente una caja de compartir que pedir mi pareja y yo compartimos juntos, completa con churros para un poco de lujo. Le daría 5 estrellas pero los tacos siempre parecen en relleno, lo que es decepcionante. Sin embargo, la burritos son fantásticas. Modificar su pedido patatas fritas para nachos o arroz, mucho mejor!

Nos detuvimos en Taco Bell durante un ajetreado día de compras y de la caridad quería una comida rápida razonable con una bebida sin alcohol. Dio en el clavo, generosas porciones, recién hechos, dentro de cómodas, baños limpios, me alegro de que se detuvo.

Very good place visited forlunch good service clean and tidy highly recommended. Good value and a good menu. Would most certainly return.

I enjoyed my meal on Friday night (5th May) late in the evening, but I would like to comment on the performance of the security guard. Martin was a great help and dealt with every situation calmly and with very high profession. I felt so much safer being there while Martin was on guard. Even though Martin doesn't work at Taco Bell he know almost everything about the menu and was able to answer all of my questions with a great amount of detail. I feel like every security guard should aspire to be like Martin. Please pass on my thanks to his employer.Would visit again if Martin was to return to keep the restaurant safe.

Taco Bell is some fast food I liked in the U.S so when it re arrived over here I thought I would check it out for nostalgic reasons. There used to be one in Earls Court years ago that closed so when the brand popped up in Essex I thought give it ago.There is one Taco Bell outlet at Lakeside shopping that we tried and it was poor , however the one in Chelmsford was the real deal and pretty good.Chelmsford Taco Bell on Sat lunchtime was horribly busy with no tables available when we ordered and the staff shouting loads which was kind of doing my head in but eventually we got our order and got a seat. This seemed like a spike in custom as it did calm down a bit but at one time it was rammed. The food arrived and was fresh and tasty in a naughty junk food kind of way.Reasonable price and my only complaint which is personal opinion are that the fries are actually horrible. I avoid them and ask for the spicy rice which is far better. This is not in any way shape or form REAL Mexican food but a fast food take on it and on this occasion was good and enjoyable.

The food in taco bell is brilliant. Better than all the other mexican food restaurants, but at a fraction of the price. Bit why the low rating? Almost every time they get the order wrong. Every time I go to taco bell I expect to receive a mistake on my order it happens that often. Whether it is forgetting I said no spicy sauce or forgetting churros. Yesterday however was the worst. 1. They forgot my drink, I had to remind them.2. They forgot my fries. (I got a free portion of cheesy fries to share with my partner so they forgot to give me the ones that actually came with the meal I paid for) 3. The chips were under cooked.4. I had said no to churros at first, because by the time I finish my main they are always cold. I did tell the staff this when they tried to up-sell me some with the meal, but they assured me they would bring them out hot after I finished the meal. But nope there they were where when on my tray with the rest of the meal. And cold by the time I got to them. Sigh.I often find the staff don't listen, whether it's to the food order or when i request to charge my phone (and the 20 min long wait for them to turn the power on to the sockets) but I keep going back anyway, just less often.

Fancied a taco bell with my mate, and we were both super hungry so we went for a box meal that had everything in it. Ate the lot and was super full afterwards. Does the job for a Mexican takeaway, Overall for what we got, the prices weren't two bad.

I've been waiting for taco bell to come to the UK for years. Now it has, I'm not disappointed. Just a couple of minutes from the main highstreet, taco bell offers Mexican fast food, packed with flavour at similar prices to burger chains like McDonald's. The staff are friendly and the food is packed with flavour and really fills you up.

Situated a short 5-10 minute walk from High Chelmer Shopping Centre, Taco Bell offers the consumer something a bit different when it comes to a tasty snack. I went to Taco Bell needing something tasty but also filling for the rest of the day. I ordered the new cheesy burrito and it was just what I wanted. If you want something affordable and tasty (a rare combination), then come and try Taco Bell.

Myself and my wife stopped here for a quick fix after some shopping in town. The obvious choice for most would-be McDonald's but for a change we went here and it was nice to see plenty of choice on the menu. As a bit of a Mexican fine anyway I did want to try it and I wasn't disappointed but it's worth taking into account how calorific some of the items are so probably best visit this once in awhile and not more regularly

I am so pleased that there is a Taco Bell in Chelmsford as, having visited the US a number of times, this is by far my favourite fast food outlet. The only drawback is that they don't take American Express credit cards. This almost lost them a customer until I realised that I had a small amount of change. I would expect a large company to accept American Express and this could lose Taco Bell some customers. I probably would have bought more due to this, however, the bonus for me was that I was directed to the Cravers menu (slightly cheaper menu), and ordered the amazing spicy chicken griller, which was extremely tasty! I'm looking forward to trying this again! Staff were helpful and polite and the restaurant is nicely decorated with lots of seating available.

Pleasant change from the usual burger joints.Very busy but did not have to wait long to be served or for food to arrive.Staff pleasant with a smile on their faces.Food was lovely and very filling.Definitely recommended.

Wow! I prefer Taco Bell to all the other Authentic Mexican restaurants I have visited.Huge variety on the menu, superb flavourful ingredients, nice staff and open till midnight or later most nights! Very handy on the way home from a late shift.Nice change from the burger only fast food restaurants.

First visited here just as an alternative to McDonalds and got hooked. Haven't had a burger in Chelmsford since. Food is great and cooked fresh for each order so a little wait but worth it. Staff are always friendly and help.

It's nice to see Taco Bell finally spread their wings in the UK. Ok, it's not genuine Mexican food but a US version, but it is still pretty good. Everything is made to order, which means a little wait, but it is worth it. You can have tacos, hard or soft shells, quesadillas, chicken, pork or beef burritos, crunch wraps, seasoned fries or nachos, refillable soft drinks and even Sol beer. I happen to love minced beef crispy corn shell tacos. The burritos are very filling so you only need one. The range in the UK isn't as varied as in the US. No Mexican pizza on the menu. But we do have churros and chocolate sauce and they don't, ha ha!

I ordered a vegetarian fajita, all it had in it was a lot of cheese and a few onions. Not impressed. The chips were alright, they just seemed to be normal chips with paprika on them.

This was my first visit to a Taco Bell. The premises were pleasant enough, and the young lady who greeted me at the counter was very friendly.Being vegetarian, I asked about the options available to me. She showed me the choices, which looked nice. She then recommended I try the 7 layer burrito, so I did, along with fries and a coke. This came to £4.39, not unreasonable.The food was ready very quickly, and was nicely presented. The chips were coated in what looked like a spice powder. This was nice, not too spicy. The fries were of the usual thin type from other fast food places.The burrito was of a good size, nicely packed and not soggy! There was a nice amount of food within it, including sour cream and guacamole. The vegetarian element were the beans, which were somewhat mashed.Overall, a pleasant meal that took less than twenty minutes from ordering to leaving. I will definitely eat here again.

One of my granddaughters has a dairy allergy so needs to be careful of ingredients, staff were helpful and friendly and the establishment was bright and clean also a welcome change from hamburgers.

Brought the family here for a quick lunch. It was really busy. We waited 10minutes plus 5minutes in the queue. We found a table in the corner, that I had to clean with baby wipes as it was covered in sauce. Also the same with the high chair.We like coming here and this is probably the worst it's been. It was an enjoyable cheap meal. The kids meals are also excellent if your child is fussy.

Good to see something different on the high street though just not impressed. Food is a bit tasteless and isn't good value for money.

What a delight it was to learn that Chelmsford would be one of the first places in the UK to get a Taco Bell.While tacos inherently won't be for everyone, it is a welcome alternative to the glut of burger and kebab joints on the high street. If you pick the right taco it can also be a little bit healthier for you than a Big Mac and chips!Pricing is marginally more expensive than McDonald's, but worth it for the ridiculous variety, and the bottomless drinks offer, where you can fill up your drink as much as you want from the machine.My personal favourite, however, is Taco Tuesday, where you can get a 99p taco and a bottle of Sol beer for just £2. Considering a bottle of Sol would cost at least £2 anywhere in town, you're basically getting free food with your beer. It's an insane deal.Staff are friendly and accommodating in my experience; they will often bring your order to your table unless it's busy which is a nice touch. I just wish they were a little more clear about the closing times; I've gone there multiple times when the door sign says it's still open, only for them to be closing up, which can be a bit frustrating.Overall, though, a great addition to Chelmsford.

Love this place, food is always spot on, staff really freindly, offered me to refill my coke before I left. Was not as busy as I expected on my visit tho, yet McDonald s was. Guess poeple stick to what they know. Get behind this place, it is far better then it's rivels and at approx a fiver for a meal it won't break the bank!

I love the food at Taco Bell but some of the staff don't always seem to understand English resulting in wrong orders. But it was clean,nice menu, loyalty card and free refills

We arrived on a wet Tuesday night and the restaurant was empty. The server was very helpful. The food came quickly and was relatively tasty although oddly, not very hot. I recommend the cruncher. It was strange not to have a menu we could pick up and read.

First visit and we were served by a very friendly informative team member,we had the huge big bel box and wow these kids are stuffed to the brim,great food,nicely presented and the veggie options are a welcome suprise,clean restuarant and fast efficient visit,

although this place is tiny and has only 5-6 seating areas it does have outside space and really hard working staff,they are always busy but very quick to serve you and the food is pretty tasty.

It's 'fast' food, but this place makes McDonalds look like gourmet dining. No amount of liquid cheese is saving a 'meal' in this place.Avoid.

nothing really special here, just another fast food place, first time ive been to taco bell, was alittle disappointed considering you hear a lot about it. I suppose its a bit of a change to the usual fast outlets, its wasn't just average, one thing i thing was good was the service, unlimited refills, and the loyalty card scheme is pretty good something you dont really get at fast outlets.

I love tacos however not a massive fan of spicy food and they accommodated really well. Yummy yummy yummy

Clean, friendly fast food restaurant - serving fast food!!! (I'm guessing from other reviews, others have never been to the USA to the home of this food chain). Fortunately it was a good sunny day and were able to make use of the outdoor tables/seating otherwise the only downside if you enjoy the food is that because its new in town, it gets busy!!

one star for the staff and one for the beer. horrible processed food that i couldn't tell the difference between the beef, chicken and pulled pork - or the beans come to that. nice clean restaurant, friendly staff but the food was sweet, salty and looked like it had been sat on. wont go back.

We popped into Chelmsford with my sister and the kids wanted lunch. We visited Taco Bell as it was something different from the normal quick food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a nice selection of food and all at a good price. The portions were a good size and the flavouring was lovely. Very well worth a visit. I just hope they open more across the UK.

It's quick, cheap, and tasty. Taco Bell is simple Mexican food on the go. The beef burrito supreme is so tasty and comes as a meal with chips and a drink. The menu is not as robust as American chains but, it does have the classics of taco supreme, bean burrito, churros, nachos supreme, and loaded chips. Don't expect to find anything very healthy there, it's American fast food. The food is full of flavour and made fresh to order.

Great food, had big bell box meal. This consisted of a large pork burrito, a beef taco, nachos with dips, a soft drink and dessert. £6.19!!! That's cheap and was quality to. Got my daughter a quadrilla kids meal also. Was about 2.99 and she loved it. It looks nice inside with classic American decor. They also have licence so you could have an ice cold beer. Il will be back. Forget mc Donald's and kfc. This is the way foward

Visited for the first time tonight. A pleasant surprise and good value for money. £6.19 (big bell box) gave us a large fajita/burrito, a taco, fries and chocolate churros plus drink. Much better value than other fast food outlets and certainly felt less greasy/more healthy (minus the churros/fries). Choice of chicken, beef and pulled pork. Will come again

Quick visit before the cinema with the kids. Food is nice, kids love having something different to the usual McDonald's/KFC fast food. The decor is nice and staff friendly. You place your order and wait for your number to be called. Tonight I sat at some comfy chairs to wait for my food and the staff brought it over rather than just shouting out my number. Had a churros for dessert....don't think I'll bother in future...really crispy...felt it had been sat for a while. But the main meals were delish.
