Great food, my favourite place for a good curry, friendly staff and always made to feel welcome.

One time great going down hill fast would not recommend now all dry over cooked only thing eatable nan bread they can't wait take money next person in terrible delivery take priority be waiting over hour at table.

Out for dinner with my wife. Tonight’s experience right from the welcome as we entered.The quality of the food that was promptly served by the helpful staff .The great choice of dishes at realistic prices.The fact able to take own alcohol drinks.The modern decor with a comfortable relaxed atmosphere.All this contributed to an excellent experience. We look forward to our next visit .

First time at Sylhet spice. We tried starters and mains we'd not had before and were very pleased with our choices. Delicious! The staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Use the Comet if you live in Little Eaton as the last bus back is 8:55pm

Absolutely superb meals delivered from Sylhet last night, the North Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken Tikka and the luxury Tandoori mixed grill along with naan breads were unbeatable.

Another visit to this wonderful restaurant. The food quality is excellent, served by pleasant and efficient staff. After popadoms and a nice choice of accompaniments I had chilli chicken stir fry with salad which I would rate as the best starter I have had and I have dined at many Asian restaurants. As a main course I chose chicken tikka karahi which was extra spicy as requested. A wonderful dining experience at a reasonable price. I would recommend anyone living within driving distance of Ripley to give this restaurant a try. They will not be disappointed.

Came here with my husband and son after it was recommended to us. What can I say? The food was first class, everything came out piping hot and the flavours were incredible in everything we had but the garlic naans were probably some of the best I've had in a very long time. Highly recommend trying this lovely restaurant if you are in the area.

Had a takeaway from here as when I’ve eaten in the restaurant before it’s been very nice. The food arrived in good time and the delivery driver was excellent so no complaints there. But! The food was cold except the curry. Rice was stone cold and the mint yogurt sauce for the salad tasted just like soapy washing up liquid. Could not eat any of it. A waste of money and time.

Why haven't we found this Gem of a restaurant before now? We couldn't fault it. The staff were lovely and helpful and the food was superb and very very tasty with good portion sizes. This is our new favourite restaurant

This is our absolute favourite Indian restaurant! Not only is the food amazing and always top quality, the staff (especially Bod and Naz) are brilliant too! They are so welcoming and just genuinely nice people. Always on the ball with clearing plates and bringing out courses. Thank you for your continued fab service, me and Ben will be regulars for as long as you are open 😀

Had lamb tikka jalfrezi balti pilau rice and garlic bread it was cooked to perfection tasted amazing, first time been went with friends they have it regularly eat in or takeaway well recommended I came all the way from Mansfield. 5 star rating

Fantastic food and super friendly staff. In my opinion Sylhet is the best Indian restaurant in Ripley. I have tried them all, and Sylhet are definitely the best. Superb food, great prices and wonderful staff. Always has been the best in Ripley and still going strong. I like that you can take your alcohol, which helps keep the cost down.

Sylhet Spice have a selection of dishes approved for dieters which are very tasty but not too calorific. Indian food is amazing, I've tried many dishes. Friendly, helpful staff and comfortable surroundings, ideal for a great night out for two or a birthday party for twenty. We celebrated last Sunday. It was quiet and we had a very good evening. Take your own alcohol or buy from the off licence near by. They have soft drinks available. Go and see, soon.

Another great night with friends at the Sylhet. Food as good as ever and even at 7pm, a full restaurant with plenty of atmosphere. Got to be the best offering in Ripley - recommended without hesitation.

Ordered a takeaway meal from this resturant at 6.10pm on a Saturday evening, was told the takeaway would be with us by 7.20pm. At 8.10pm meal had not arrived. Took ages to phone the restaurant, when i finally got through was told that they were too busy to deliver our meal. Was told that they had phoned us to inform us but this was an utter lie. Why did you take the order in the first place. I will never order from this restaurant again. Just wish i had read other reviews before ordering as this seems to be normal practise with this restaurant. Appauling customer service.

Excellent in one word ! The table was booked for 630 and it's that popular by 730 not a table left in the house. An extensive menu packed with house specials and traditional dishes : spectacular service and nothing was too much trouble I had garlic mushrooms as a starter - delicious and then lamb tikka saag again faultless : my partner had chicken passanda and the manager tried to persuade her to have a similar dish that was a little more adventurous: she declined but when it arrived she got a complimentary dish he'd recommended as well as the passanda ' if you don't eat it you'll be charged if you do no charge ' said with a smile. Couldn't believe the bill it was ridiculously inexpensive: I have to say this is probably the best Indian meal I've ever eaten and the service was wonderful this guy cared about the experience you had there : if you are near Ripley a dining must 6 stars if possible !

Absolutely brilliant, been 3 times in 3 weeks and it just gets better, the staff are absolutely fantastic, big warm greeting and genuinely the most attentive staff without being too in your face. The setting is compact and can be fun / lively when it’s busy (a plus for me) The food is excellent!! Easy 9.5/10 (I’m keeping the 0.5 in reserve for my next visit as I’m sure it will continue the trend of being even better next week! Please give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Good Bangladeshi restaurant. Great service and a wide choice of dishes on the menu. You need to bring your own booze from the off license over the road. But this keeps the cost down and the restaurant provides glasses and bottle openers. Great venue for a group curry night

My partner and I have just finished our meal from Sylhet Spice, 2 tikka massala's spiced up to around a madras level of hotness, chips, rice, 2 cheesy garlic naans, vegetable samosas and keema samosas. Best Indian cuisine that's graced my mouth for months. The meal was full of flavour and everything was cooked perfectly. The cheese and garlic were plentiful on the naan bread and the massalas were spiced perfectly with plenty of flavour. The samosas were great and also had a good degree of Spice to them. Next time I am craving Indian food Sylhet is getting another call.

Previously all ok but tonight you let us down badly . Delivered 2 hours 15 minutes earlier than ordered and then resent same food out at required time 👎. You have just lost two regulars sadly

This restaurant is the safest I know during these difficult times of Covid-19. Tables socially distanced staff wearing masks, NHS track and trace scan for your app, hand sanitizers- just everything to make you feel safe. The food was as good as ever on our visit last night and staff attentive. Highly recommend.

We made our latest visit to the Sylhet during Boris’s EOtHO scheme and were impressed that the quality of service and food were as good as ever, despite being very busy. Bod and his team have done a cracking job throughout the COVID lockdown, providing a takeaway service throughout and more recently ensuring a COVID safe environment for customers using the restaurant. Whilst the Eat Out scheme has obviously brought in more business during August, I really hope that everyone continues to support this local eatery for many months to come. Highly recommended.

Ordered a takeaway from here while staying at a nearby campsite with family and it was brilliant! It can sometimes be difficult ordering a takeaway when you don’t know the area (and we were ordering for 10 people!) but I found Sylhet Spice on tripadvisor, the reviews and menu looked good and it didn’t disappoint.Food was ready bang on time and staff at the restaurant confirmed my order and explained which dishes were which. One staff member then helped me get all the food to the car so I didn’t have to make 2 trips or drop anything! Really kind and helpful.Nothing had been forgotten, food was really hot, good size portions and delicious! Thank you!

Excellent service, excellent food. We were visiting the area and tried this Sylhet spice was really pleased with the exceptional level of service, was they they had been trained at the Ritz! Poppadums and the chutney tray, the king prawn starter and both main courses were brilliant, just wished we lived nearer. The fact that you can take your own beer and wine was the icing on the cake. Can not recommend it highly enough.

Great credit to Bod, Naz and the team for keeping the takeaway service going throughout the last few difficult months. The service and the quality of the food has been as brilliant as ever, whilst fully complying with the COVID restrictions. Now looking forward to dining in the restaurant very soon.

The best takeaway curry ever! Had other curry's more local to us during lockdown but now travel restrictions are lifted we drove to our favourite restaurant to collect a takeaway. It was far superior to any other food we've tried recently and can't wait to return to Sylhet Spice to enjoy a meal in the restaurant when reopened for customers.
