Swann Inn Pub in Rutland

Went for Sunday lunch.ade our concern to the male waiter that the roast beef was tough and could have been used as shoe leather. Unable to cut it with the provided knife. The Yorkshire had a soggy bottom and was uncooked The only part of the dish worth eating was the red cabbage The waiter said that he would talk to the "chef". But, no further acknowledgement happened. We were only charged for one meal as both plates were left half full. Unfortunately we will not return.

Just had lunch at the Swan inn. It was amazing, cannot praise the quality or quantity of the food enough. We will definitely be back again. Staff were friendly and helpful which created a lovely welcoming atmosphere, could have stayed longer just to relax over a drink.

We popped in today on Christmas eve. We eat out a lot and are often dissapointed by food quality or quantity or service.Or its mediocre. We had turkey dinner and it was plentiful and like the good old fashioned cooking I love. Land lord and cook and staff were friendly and service was perfect. We will, go again and again and again...

We called today,I'm not one to complain generally and it may just be a Christmas menu thing...I've heard good things in the past about this place but the meal today was lacking.chucking a bit of turkey on a cheese and bacon burger doesn't make it festive...especially when the bacon,burger and breadbun were cremated.I think they'd used the fire alarm as a timer

A lovely little pub with excellent food all home made. Extremely friendly staff - landlady couldn’t do enough for us. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend it to anyone and would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

We ate at the swan yesterday with our 2 grandchildren, the food was wonderful. Children had cheeseburgers and chips which they said was the ‘best ever’. Our meals, steak and ale pie and belly pork were also delicious. Staff were really friendly but a special mention to our lovely waitress who was only working her second shift, you were fab, the right amount of banter, hope to see you again soon.

We came for a holiday in skipsea and had a day in Hornsea, looking on swim advisor this grabbed my attention for the homemade food. We sat outside in the beautiful beer garden with the childrens play area and had dinners out there. We chose the belly pork and lamb skewers and they were lovely.

Called in on our way home from bridlington bit out of the way but worth the extra travel food was very nice recommend the steak and ale pie and propper chip's really really nice
