I’ve been yesterday with my friends for a dinner. It’s been such an amazing experience. The Restaurant is pretty small but it gives you such a cozy experience. The food and the service is amazing. It is that kind of place that you choose to feel in Greece without taking any plane. MUST TRY!

The customer service in this place is amazing, we have been served from Natalie which she made our night, she understood our needs and helped us with some choices from the menu by giving us her recommendations. The food is delicious, highly recommend if you want to savour proper Greek dishes!

Excellent fair at a wonderful price

We chanced upon this restaurant at lunchtime today. What a find! Delicious wild boar sausage and prawn skewers served with homemade pitta bread. We can’t wait to go back!

I came often after work and was never disappointed. It's small but perfectly formed. Great team, with Natalie front of house. I'm a foodie and I loved this place. Highly recommend.

The portion is extremely small while the dishes are all tasty. Genuinely love each and every single dish… especially the lamb chop!! bit pricy but it’s soho so not a big deal. Highly recommended, I’ll certainly come again.

Fantastic find in Soho on a Saturday! Friendly staff, food was fantastic - ordered the dips, spanakopita, courgette fritters, skewers, wraps & Greek salad. It’s a squishy restaurant but this is what you expect in London so no issues there.

Always go here after being at Simmons across the road for a souvlaki, and its one of the best in London

Best Greek food in Central London

The food was really good. The portions are on the smaller side but the taste is there! The chicken souvlaki is the highlight! Spanakopitas are served liked samosas. Recommend the dessert too.

extremely small servings for the amount you pay, understandable it would be more expensive as it’s in soho however you’re being robbed for what you get because the food is not even that good. the meat was burned, the wraps are nothing special and the presentation isn’t even amazing either. most of all the staff is not welcoming or friendly, our waiter wasn’t polite and very cold with every interaction. he didn’t respond at all when we were ordering and listing what we wanted, just stared. the other waitress was also frustrated with other customers and they both just made us feel like we were an inconvenience for them? it was kinda just odd

Suvlaki has become a firm favourite whenever we’re in Soho. Delicious food, quality ingredients, authentic recipes, well prepared - and the food is surpassed only by the level of service. It’s something when the staff at such a busy restaurant remembers you from previous visits, and that attention to detail makes dining here a joy, every time. Highly recommended.

Hadn't been in that place for quite sometime; it has changed management since. The food is really good, prices reasonable for Soho, nice and friendly service. What's not to like?

Greek restaurant in Soho with authentic food. Tables are super tiny (ca 50 x 50 cm) but staff is attentive and removes finished plates and dishes in a wiff. Servings are quite small but if you go for a few starters to share you won't leave hungry.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Delicious food, exceptional value for money and the staff are amazing. Atmosphere almost loses a point only because I feel like this restaurant could benefit from having an outdoor seating area.

What a lovely surprise... a Greek friend took me here. Utterly delicious taramosalata... colour free so looked weird, but superb to the taste. Delicious gigantes beans stewed for ever in tomato and herbs. Greek salad was tasty but served in a bowl smaller than some ash trays. Pork souvlaki were served in fluffy pittas with tsatsiki and light salad.. again perfectly cooked. 3 delicious lamb chops served with orso and spinach mix and an over large portion of tsatsiki were a bit expensive at 20+ quid for three exquisite succulent mini chops. But again, delicious and perfectly cooked over charcoal in the mini kitchen. Only a limited menu, but I'd rather have a limited but perfect menu than a huge menu of mediocrity. Washed down with a good bottle of red... a delicious lunch

Although not being able to have any seafood at a Greek restaurant sounds a bit disappointing, the food is quite fantastic nevertheless. This place is more of a northern Greek cuisine and I strongly recommend wrapped cabbage leaves which is served with a mind blowing sour sauce. It is not vegetation though, I am afraid but packed with goodies

This restaurant was tucked off a main busy road, but was a hidden little gem! The restaurant was small but was packed. We had the window seat which was great for a bit of people watching. Suvlaki chicken wraps were delicious. The only reason I have knocked a star off is the chips were covered in too much rosemary which became the overpowering flavour - would be better with just a tiny pinch!

What can I say about this place? I could have been in Greece at a fabulous meze restaurant where the tasty treats just keep coming. Authentic Greek cuisine at its very best along with charming service.

Ate here after a matinée performance of Ghost. Food was delicious & very reasonably priced. Red wine very smooth. £47.36 for 1 pork souvlaki wrap, 1 chicken souvlaki wrap, 1 greek salad, 1 oregano fries ,1 glass red wine & 1 coke. The service was very good, friendly and efficient servers. Very small inside and the tables are extremely close together so if you feel claustrophobic then maybe not the place for you. You will be sat very close to other diners. Wasn't a problem for us as everybody was just eating and talking amongst themselves. A previous review mentioned the occasional toilet smell and I could definitely detect this when someone opened the door through to where the toilet was. Glad I've experienced it but probably wouldn't return due to how cramped it was inside.

Another fantastic meal at Souvlaki! We thought we should check again, after our first sensational visit, and it did not disappoint. We shared two starters....the spanakopitas, which were hot and crisp, oozing with a gorgeous spinach mixture, and the courgette fritters, which were mouth-watering, and served with a tzatziki dip. My husband had the sausage wrap, which he described as fabulous, and I had the grilled prawns with almonds and beetroot, Succulent! It's a tiny restaurant, and you do need to book. Tables are close together, but it adds to the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Perfect place to grab a bite, post-movie or concert. We highly recommend it.

Whilst the menu is quite simple and small, the quality of food is fantastic and the service is absolutely superb with promptness and a ready smile no matter how busy they are. Tight seating arrangements, shame about the smell from the toilet if seated at the back, not ideal otherwise a fantastic place at a reasonable price in the heart of Soho.

Amidst the hoardes of poor tourist trap restaurants in the West End, Suvlaki is an utter gem. Incredible atmosphere, feels like a little slice of Greece in the middle of London. Service swift and charming, incredible value food. The wraps are authentic, the saganaki sublime, the feta and broad beans delicious. Good Greek wine too. Went with our 12 year old daughter on a busy Saturday night and we all adored it. Top find.

We’ve been visiting Suvlaki for some time now and it is still a favourite! The service is friendly and fast and the food is great - portions are really good, and quality excellent. The wraps and skewers are especially good, and definitely worthwhile going for a few different starters too as all are delicious. The decor in Suvlaki is another definite selling point - it looks really cool and you definitely forget you’re in the centre of Soho! The restaurant is small so booking is a must!

Small and perfectly formed! A delightful, authentic Greek restaurant, run by the charming Natalya. We had a wonderful, tasty meal. The courgette fritters, the spanakopitas, the Greek salad and the wild boar sausage skewers and the BBQ prawn skewered were mouth-watering. All washed down with a great value bottle of Greek red wine. We could not fault this little gem of a restaurant, and can’t wait to return. Be sure to book ahead - very few tables and a great demand - not surprising!

Great food, did feel a little rushed but hey that's Friday night in Soho. Although you could smell the toilet / bleach that had been put in it for the duration. Maybe invest in another door or some kind of counter? Was a little offputting.

Having walked past this place on many occasions and liked the look of it, I finally got the chance to go and try out the establishment. From the warm welcome and excellent service to the wonderful food, we had the perfect lunch. Prices are sensible and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, who are keen and attentive. The cooking and presentation is spot on and the feel of the place is that of an upmarket traditional Greek taverna. We will return and I will be sharing the find with many friends.

In London for a five day stay. Have tried a few restaurants with varying degrees of satisfaction. This evening when trying to decide on dinner came across Suvlaki - on TA reviews - booked a table for two on line, so glad we did! In interpreting menu food/wine we came across white wine varieties that we didn’t recognise, waiter then poured a sample for tasting for us to try - delicious! Ordered bottle ! Ordered signature dish of spicy lamb chops + skewer of chicken and wild boar with accompanying Greek salad Each dish simply presented and delicious. Service, friendly, helpful and professional. This was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience - highly recommended!

We have dined twice here during our 3 night stay in Soho. It’s local to where we are staying but more importantly it’s absolutely bloody brilliant. They serve up authentic Greek food with unflapable service which only the Greeks can offer. Small plates so easy...

Opa! Found this little Greek place while walking around Soho. Fantastic little restaurant with the owners making you feel right at home. The food was excellent, a real taste of Greece!

This is a wonderful restaurant with truly excellent food. It's not your run of the mill Greek taverna, it's a small, sophisticated and vibrant place to eat. When i've been to Greece in the past there's a tendency to overcook everything which Greeks like, but the rest of Europe despises. Not in Suvlaki. The chef cooks the meat to perfection and succulence, some of the nicest I've had anywhere. Then there's the other great dishes like Prawns with Feta, yes i know sounds odd, but is truly delicious. I don't even like Feta. Probably wise to book at table at peak times, they are small but it adds to the cosy feeling of the place. Good couple of Greek wines to chose from, nice beer and exceptional service, it's a true Soho (and London) gem. If you like high quality food rather than 'pile them high', then go. You won't regret it. Well done to the team there, i'll be back every week!

Great little shack with authentic Greek meals. Souvlaki being the most prominent (it's in the name actually) but one can get a good variety of tastes from Greece. Friendly and professional staff. Got serviced with a smile and patience, despite my ridiculous (temporary) dietary needs. Highly recommended!

Food was great, very tasty! Waitress sat us and then decided she wanted to move us 5 mins later to a table which was already set for 3 quoting the reason that she needed the table for a party of three, we asked if we could stay as we were tired and these seats had backs where as the others were stools( + the table we were moving to was already set for 3 people) , she declined and we felt slightly burnt by it, we were super hungry so we just moved. She put two tables together to make a seating for 4. Then this elusive party of three didn't show, and she declined another party of two in the meantime, which if she'd kept us in the original space he would have been able to seat the party of 3 where we were now sat and 2 tables of 2. Unfortunate I guess, and kinda made what would have been a great evening with my wife into an average evening (food was very nice tho which is why it gets a 4 rather than 3).

I visited Suvlaki Soho this evening and was so impressed. Beautiful Greek food and friendly service. Prices were very reasonable for central London too. Well worth a visit, very small and intimate so might be worth booking before you go, easily done online. Highly recommend!

Tiny place with maybe 10 tables total. Very nice staff, good atmosphere. The food is good, but not amazing, and certainly not quite like in Greece. But if you miss some of the usual Greek dishes and want a quick pre theatre bite, would recommend.
