Sunshine Cafe and restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Visit for breakfast once a week. I am sure if we didn’t have half hour drive we would visit more often. The food is excellent. The place is spotlessly clean. It is very good value for money. All the staff are lovely and always happy to see you. Can’t fault it.

Lovely clean cafe with friendly staff. Very varied menu with plenty of choices. All cooked fresh and quick service. Lovely breakfast lunch and evening meals to choose from. Always go there when I am in Downham market. This cafe is an asset to the town .

Every time I visit family in Downham market, we pop into the Sunshine Cafe. The staff are always friendly, and the food is excellent, and good value. I tend to go for my favourite prawn omelette. A large omelette, with chips, salad and peas for under £7.00.

Excellent service and good breakfast and good coffee will use again and recommend to all I know Good parking nearby and open Sunday morning

What a little gem of a cafe , been here about 4 times now never had a bad meal there fantastic food prices and staff . Had a Sunday roast there today nicely cooked plenty of it and all served with a smile . Cant say a lot more but thank you for the delights you serve your customers.

As I ended the long 24 mile ride south, I was greeted with a warm smile and a choice of where to sit. A very friendly girl came over and took my order, which arrived on my table within minutes. Fast and efficient service, great food and coffee a lot like the street cafe in Ely but wider and 10x better. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff and the best tasting food in Norfolk. Will be back again

Clean premises, warm welcome, friendly attentive service, and a menu as long as yer arm! Very extensive, incredible choices, beautifully presented and served with a smile. And all at knockout prices. You won't find better in this neck of the woods. Stumbled on this last week and it made our visit to Downham truly worthwhile.

This little gem is worth a visit, great prices, great menu, spotlessly clean and all home cooked .staff are very attentive and polite,very impressed by portions of food too.Caters for all.

This is just what it says it is. A cheap, 'it is what it is' cafe and it rocks! Second time we have been, the first to have coffee and the second to eat on a Sunday lunchtime. I have a fussy family. One will only eat rice, chips and stuff and the other prefers a burger! Personally, I like the idea of a Sunday Roast. These guys catered for us all. Three main meals, one pudding and six drinks, all for just under £30 - Perfect

Customer service is always very good and nothing is too much trouble. The staff always look after our little one and bring a high chair and cutlery for her.

We came here as a last minute thing after the clean up operation following last night's fireworks display. There were 32 of us who turned up unannounced and the cafe was more than happy to rearrange furniture and fit us all together.Food and service were spot on. Thanks againDownham Market Round Table

This is my favourite cafe in Downham. The portions are decent sized and with lots of vegetables. The service is quick and friendly and there is a big choice on the menu. Prices are generally £5 to £6.50 for a main course, which is great for the amount you get on your plate.

Came across this busy cafe in Downham Market and stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a jacket potato with cheese and beans and it was delicious, served with a side salad which was also a nice touch. This place has been rated 5 star for hygiene and it was very clean and quite busy with lots of customers of all ages enjoying lunch. Would definitely recommend this cafe!

Food was fine but very expensive in my opinion and overpriced.Wetherspoons now open in town so they will struggle with those prices and need to review them.

Wasn't keen on visiting again after my previous review, but if you have been to downham town centre you will realise why I had to visit again - basically no other choice. This time I again asked for an orange juice instead if a can of pop or a fruit shoot, this time I was aloud and also they swapped items on the children's meal for me too which I appreciated. Jacket potato was huge and plenty of filling. Based on this experience I would go back again. Nice to see that comments are taken on board.

I have an assistance dog and even though I was able to take him in we were not so welcome. The food is basic but good

I always pop in for breakfast with my family and every time the food and service is always great. The staff are also great fun with our niece and nephew. Love coming here.

Visited for an impromptu dinner one evening. Sat down and waiter came over, I asked for the children's meal if I could swap the fruit shoot or fizzy can for a pure orange juice, waiter replied no so I asked for a water instead, answer no again, it's a fruit shoot or fizzy can, I explained that we do not give our daughter either of these as she's a child and Both are full of sugar. No budging so we left. Disappointed they wouldn't swap even for a water.

Used to go every week but since the refurbishment prices have gone up. Very friendly staff and nice and clean. Seel it's slightly over priced now which is a shame. Staff could have pointed out a cheep er way od 1 of the orders which worked out about £2 cheeper, leaving the bill payer cheated as we're regular customers

Every time you walk into this place you are always greeted and made to feel welcome. The service is very friendly and efficient. Well, the food, what can I say, I have never been disappointed. You have to go in hungry or you will not finish your plate. The portions are so generous and to top it all the prices are very reasonable. The Cafe itself is very clean and tidy.

I absolutely love the food and service, I try to go there for breakfasts as much as I can with family and friends.

Went here with a few family members for some lunch. First impressions were dingy and it definitely needs an update on the decor! The waitresses were miserable and I felt the restaurant was too cramped and basic. The food was OK - I had the lasagne which was very dry, chips were nice, the salad was odd too?? My partner enjoyed his breakfast though and it was an ok price.

We had fish and chips .Without doubt the best fish and chips for miles around. Big portions of freshly cooked food and always service with a smile. So glad its close by! Recommended to all :)

The cleanliness and general atmosphere was far better than other cafes I have experienced. The service was prompt and very polite. The food was pretty good with good portion sizes.

Had a lovely big breakfast here recently. It was absolutely delicious. Service was very fast, food was very hot and the coffee was lovely and frothy Very reasonably priced food too and a large selection to choose from. Will visit again very soon.

The food prices were cheap, you do get value for the price, though the quality of ingredients don't appear to be the best, you do get what you pay for, hungry, want something to fill a hole, then this is the place.

Visited on 6 January. Service excellent and quick. Prices very reasonable. Food was hot, tasty and well presented. Chicken curry very tasty with rice and chips. Place was busy, but service was very good.

Popped in for our main meal of the day on a visit to Downham Market. My favourite food is Shepherds Pie so as it was on the specials board with 3 veg at £5.90 it was an easy choice for me. It arrived after only about 7 minutes and was piping hot and tasty. The staff are friendly and the place looked to be very clean - recomended.

Not quite what im used to, but for a simple snack its fine. Pleasant staff, well run,Biggest draw is to go see the customers!We could hardly keep a straight face!But a pleasant hardworking owner, Well Done!

Ok, good points: Lots of space, nice coffee, big portions.Bad points? Poorly ventilated, everything swimming in cooking oil so no mater what you choose, it's gonna taste like Castrol

A lovely restaurant in the town. Good choices on the menu. It is very clean and the staff are warm and welcoming. Quick service and plenty of food. Very good value for money and stays open until 7 at night for meals.

Went here yesterday for breakfast with my husband and son.. Food was very hot and tasty and great value for money. Staff were very helpful and friendly.and said good morning as we entered the restaurant. Good selection of food for breakfast, lunch and snacks and will certainly visit again.

It is so hard to tell when you enter to find out how to order. I didn't see anything, in the end when I went up to try and order they said it was table service. - no clear indication and the staff there seem to agree along with the waitresses it's not good. They really need to improve as they even muddled drinks up initially but the toasted teacake was ok but I think I might have done better elsewhere. On the plus side they do have free wifi.

The staff are always helpful; the latte coffee is very good both for quality and price. The menu is a typical British one and is freshly cooked.

Sunshine Cafe is never going to win a Michelin star; it is in a market town serving good quality food at Cafe prices. The breakfasts are excellent value, the main meals are what you would expect from a greasy spoon not greasy but tasty and fresh; yes the cafe gets busy with local mothers and pushchairs but its a market town so what do you expect? Staff friendly and helpful, all in all well worth a visit and a cafe i use again and again

Asked for one thing, an egg burger, somehow they managed to forget the egg. Friend had chips which were really not very nice at all. Nice little place though - you get what you pay for!

Service was terrible young girl served us no more than 17yrs old terrible attitude , another young lady was there in her 30s she was brilliant very well mannered nothin was too much trouble that was on Monday 24th today 26th feb 14 was terrible yet the older blonde lady was not there tried it twice now not returning , food was greasy more like builders food

What a gem this cafe is! Loads of items to choose from. All well presented and tasty. The people serving are a pleasure to meet, polite and happy to be there doing their job. Every clean. Only downer is the women with kids who think it is OK to have pushchairs and prams in the way of other customers with their noisy brats taking up tables for ages in the mornings. How can they afford to take them in there of they are all supposed to be so hard up? The children leave half their food uneaten on their plates anyway.

Extensive breakfast and lunch menu. Bacon sausage egg combos with almost anything else plus chips. Reasonably priced excellent service. Well worth a visit for breakfast or lunch. Bacon and sausage in particular are quality for such a café.

Dropped in for a hot drink on a cold windy day. Nice room. Prompt service and served a good cup of tea.
