Cute place. We arrived 15 mins before opening time and there was already a queue. Food was really tasty, though a little on the greasy side (that led to some upset tummies later) but we’d return again and try other things. The pancakes were the only disappointment.

Very good coffee, a good menu, but dragged down by the wait and overwhelming noise once finally inside. I could barely hear the person 60cm away from me, luckily I had some very nice coffee to enjoy. Overall I enjoyed it but I don’t think I’d be a regular. Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️

Have been here many times and have had better experiences in the past. However, queued for brunch on Sunday and it was absolutely not worth the 45min queue in the pouring rain. The service was absolutely appalling. The ineffeciency of the staff was unbelievable. There were 4 members of staff (plenty for the number of tables) and we watched from outside as it took 7 trips back and forth between 3 of the members of staff to clear a two person table. They looked outside and stood around day dreaming whilst 3 tables were completely empty when there was a queue of customers freezing outside. When we got seated, two tables around us had either got the wrong order or didn't receive their order at all. The table who didn't were asked by the lady if they'd got their order. They said no, could we just have the bill please. She just said OK and didn't even apologise. A small group of girls came inside and asked if they could wait inside because they were soaked wet through and could see there were tables free. They got told they should always wait outside as they hadn't finished setting up. Staff dawdled around seeing to other things and eventually came and put two menus on the table and even later came back and put a bottle of water on the table. A while after said OK you can sit now. So bizarre. They didn't even have glasses for the water and said they'd have to wait longer for those. It took us 30mins to get a coffee after ordering, the previous table got one 20mins earlier and there was a barista stood at the coffee machine the entire time. Coffee arrived after the food. The pancakes with banana are really nice (go for the half portion as better topping ratio). I had the eggs benediction, which was tasty but word of warning.... the side of halloumi for £3.50 is one small slice! The service was never great here but always felt worth it for the food. Really didn't feel worth it this time and won't be returning. Their cookbook is great... buy the cookbook and make the food at home!

I’ve been a regular since a dear friend introduced the place to me back in 2018. I swear by the courgette fritters - it’s a cornucopia of texture, form, and flavour. However I want to share a personal story last weekend - I tried some of my friend’s French toast with the salted caramel sauce and instantly my cheeks were wet with tears. It has a depth and complexity that takes me back to British seaside town fudge pantries. I am instantly back in Brighton, doing my A-Levels, first few days of winter. Unsure of who I wanted to be. A chill, and the boiling vapours of fudge. Answers abound in that sweet, treacly scent. I stepped on the cobblestone path, sure of some kind of warmth that life gives in random moments. Thank you Sunday for giving me one of my first Proustian madeleine moments - I will be back for sure.

What can I say, I have dined in at Sunday for close to 10 years now. My personal favourites are the courgette fritters and French toast. They never get old. Recently one of my dear friends was reeled in by nostalgia and reverie when he tasted the salted caramel dressing of the French toast. It brought back fond memories of a place he used to call home. How transcendent is that. Thanks Sunday, you are special.

These pancakes are what I imagine clouds must taste like, 10/10 for the delicious food, I got the fried zucchini dish and it was an explosion of flavors and textures, so glad I went with that, we got half a portion of the pancakes (wish I got the full🫣) the berry compote was delicious and the caramelized banana and whatever that butter on top was made of was an absolute dream, I’m only in London a few days but I’ll make sure to make at least one more stop here because it was excellent! As you can see even my daughter couldn’t hold herself back when she saw the pancakes lol

I came at a very quiet part of the week as I know it's very popular and can have big queues. I was made to wait outside in the cold despite that fact there were tables inside empty. Probably 20 minutes. Once sat down I was ignored for a fair while and then told the Kitchen was too busy to order food now. Odd as it didn't seem very busy. All in it probably took an hour to receive my food. The food was exceptional, probably the best full English I can remember and perhaps my first French toast? - also incredible. Good sized portions. And staff friendly when finally approached me. They wait was odd and keeping me outside was inconsiderate. Perhaps I caught the staff in a bad mood, fair warning though it seems you will have a long wait whatever the day apart from very low activity times.

Let me say this is the best brunch I’ve had in a LONG time. Went for lunch on a sunny Sunday at 1pm, queued for around 40mins but the food was incredible. We had the corn fritters with halloumi, sausage Benedict and shared a half portion of the pancakes (shout out to our blonde waitress for warning against ordering a full portion to share to avoid food waste, we had the perfect amount). Everything was 10/10. Only downfall we had a wonky table and so I lost half my latte, and my friends latte was cold. But the food was 10/10, highly recommend. And thanks to them for letting us keep my friends suitcase there whilst we had a wander round the area! 10 mins from regents canal for a lovely stroll

Although the food is good (and generally worth the long wait), the service is diabolical. I generally didn't mind the waits for tables or for food to arrive but the service standards have continued to slip. Last straw was waiting outside for over 15 mins (despite tables being available) only to come inside to be acknowledged and rudely asked to go outside again (yes, the sign says wait outside to be seated but if you've been standing outside for 15 mins already with no acknowledgement while tables are available and staff are just idling about then it's reasonable to step inside to be noticed). Slow and inefficient service is bad enough, rudeness is not acceptable. There are many other places in the area that are far better value and treat their customers with respect.

A little bit off the beaten path, but still popular enough to have long queues - make sure you come early! We queued for approx. 30 minutes before we got a table for two. The inside is relatively spacious (maybe ~10 tables total?) but wouldn’t recommend this for large groups since they take forever to seat! We got a couple of things - really recommend the toasted banana bread with butter, very delicious. We also got the courgete fritters and the cornbread with chorizo - both great. I read the reviews and assumed everyone was just being overdramatic about bad service! There is a long queue but that’s hardly their fault. We sat down, were given menus and no one came over for about 15-20 mins. I walked inside (we were sat outside) to show my face and ask if we could order, a waitress looked at me loitering and walked the other way? Eventually we ordered, and realised that no one had told us about the specials which was really disappointing. The food came which was alright but not good enough to justify waiting SO long for everything. Hate complaining like this just frustrating when they have so many reviews about poor service and people being forgotten about, but don’t change anything. Wouldn’t come back unfort :( sorry

Really great food, occasionally find *some* of the staff a bit rude/condescending. One of my friends had a bit of an issue with her order - she’s lactose intolerant and unknowingly ordered something with dairy (our fault for sure) and when we brought this up with the waitress she was not understanding at all and I didn’t appreciate the tone she spoke to my friend in - super harsh. They also gave me a regular latte instead of an oat milk one like I’d asked for (I don’t drink cows milk) which left me feeling quite ill afterwards - I asked the staff if they’d accidentally used cows milk and they said they hadn’t but when the bill came there was no extra charge for the oat milk making me again believe they had used cows milk. Another time I went with my mum and also found the staff quite rude and it me almost want to go somewhere else to have brunch. The cafe itself is small and quite cramped, nothing too fancy inside, but that being said some of the staff are nice and the food is for the most part excellent :)

The average person seems to really enjoy this restaurant which sums up the experience perfectly, average at best. We queued for an hour, so expectations were set accordingly for a quality meal. Ambiance was friendly, warm and cozy. We were 2 pax and sat at a communal table in between two other parties. Good thing the restroom was not needed. Excited for our meal we overlooked the downsides to a popular local breakfast spot and were excited for the delicious offerings. Unfortunately that was the extent of our positive experience. Our order was taken and the hospitality ended there. Tables next to us were served coffees and refreshments. 30 minutes later we inquired about the two juices we ordered and were told, apologies everyone is really busy. The rhubarb cooler special and fresh squeezed orange juice were very nice but to our disappointment it wasn’t the only part of our order that was forgotten about. As all the tables sat after us were served their food we again inquired about ours. Apologized for, our food was rushed out lukewarm as to be expected in such a scenario. Burnt banana bread and decent egg dishes. Though the food was ok, it was hard to discern exactly what one was eating with any given bite as there were close to 20 different ingredients on the plate. Over complicating food being the sign of a passionate yet inexperienced chef covering up mediocrity. Ready for the bill, our experience was never addressed by the staff leaving the lack of hospitality as a poor taste in our mouths after our average meal.

This place looked really promising, but I have to say I was disappointed with my full English breakfast. The bacon was burnt, the black pudding wasn’t soft, the sausage also overcooked. That’s too bad, because the beans were actually great (and I’m usually not a fan!) and the tomato was also very well seasoned, along with the mushrooms. Sadly, no one told us about their daily specials, and we only found out about them when our bill came. We also waited a solid 20min for our drinks. I could see why some people like this place, but considering the waiting time and prices, I will not be coming back.

As we searched last minute for Sunday brunch this Cafe came highly recommend but warned of long, standstill ques. We thought we would still give it a go and if the que was outrageous we would venture on to another Cafe. We arrived around 2:45pm and there were two groups ahead of us. We waited approximately 20 minutes outside. The weather was nice so we didn't mind. The atmosphere was like most hidden gems, quaint and filled with character. The dining area is small and but cozy, you can see straight back to the kitchen, watching the food being prepared. We ordered the Cornbread, Halloumi, Chorizo which was our absolute favorite, bursting with so many flavors, it was a fiesta in the mouth. The corn hash mixed with the creamy avocado and tangy chorizo was heaven. We also ordered the Sage & Onion Sausage Eggs Benedict. If you like sage then you'll love this as it was very fragrance. The hollandaise was so thick and creamy and when you cut into the poached egg the runny yoke added an extra layer of flavor and butteriness to the dish. Lastly we ordered the Brioche French Toast to curve our sweet craving. The caramel wasn't overly sweet which worked exceptionally well with the bananas. If you're in the area I highly recommend giving this cafe a try. You will not regret it even if you'll need to que for a few.

Food is very good. Good portion sizes and flavourful dishes. Only issue would be that it was a bit too salty. The service is very inefficient. Queues get up to an hour or even more, meanwhile there are tables left un-bussed and un-sat for 5+ minutes. Once sat, it takes a very long time to get an order in, despite the kitchen only having 3 tickets on the line at a time. They are a small restaurant with a high demand, but there is clear room for improvement in the service

It is a charming restaurant and, when it opened it was one of the better brunch places boasting a menu of casual Aussie style dishes, but the food now isn’t what it used to be in terms of quality or inventiveness. I recently had the English breakfast which was pretty ordinary and unfortunately has no unique twist that you’d expect in a place such as this. The coffee is good (though not as good as Southpaw coffee down the road) but it’s a shame that they no longer do their lovely cakes since Covid. The service is OK but could be more friendly. It’s quite cramped and crowded on weekends and I don’t think it’s worth queuing for other than for the first time novelty.

A phenomenal place for brunch. The long wait was definitely worth the excellent service, great tasting food and value for money once inside!

Great staff, incredible food and good prices I had the special of the day which was recommended by the staff, the paratha with lentil curry and eggs were amazing! The pancakes were delicious, fluffy and buttery. The fried green tomatoes on the chorizo was awesome as well We waited for one hour for a table for two but it was worth it Space is tight so Its tough to accommodate strollers, luggage, wheelchairs.

Food was good but they brought us wrong order, we didn't notice it was wrong. When they brought us our proper order they made us pay for both orders + service fee. So pay attention what they bringing to you and exactly which kind of portions. For example, I ordered half portion of pancakes, they brought me full portion and they made me pay for the full portion.

This place is worth queuing for; the cornbread with chorizo, egg and chimichurri was both flavourful and beautifully presented, full of colour and texture. One of the better breakfasts I've had out in London (and I've had a lot).

My go-to place for pancakes. I've been here for years but only have pictures of pancakes as I just can't make myself order something else. They're just perfect. Really appreciate that they have half portions as I will not be able to finish a whole portion.

I was really disappointed in this place, I wanted to like it but the service is awful. The food was lovely and it is a cute little place, very popular, always a queue outside, partly because it is such a small cafe can only seat roughly 25 people at the time. So the reason I had to give 2 starts is because, the service was awful, the wait staff is rude, but more so because I was bought over my coffee and she spilt it all over my thighs and my expensive Burberry skirt. So burning hot coffee all over my thighs, 20% of the coffee spilt and my Burberry skirt ruined. Now this happens sometimes everyone is human, She apologised and I said that's fine. Now I didn't make a fuss, but I expect to at least get that coffee for free, quarter of the coffee is all over my skirt and burning on my thighs, I wasn't offered any water to try and clean my skirt and the rest of the time that waitress just completely ignored and avoided me as if this was my fault. But more so I'm shocked that the service is so bad they couldn't offer me the coffee spilt for free, come on! That's just BAD SERVICE! I wouldn't expect the whole meal for free but the coffee that was spilt all over me absolutely I shouldn't have expected to pay for. Get better service!

Nice brunch place with great service! Normally there's a long queue but we went before 10:30 on Sunday and waited for only 15min to get a table. Loved the corn bread with chorizo and pancakes with banana!! 🥞

One of the best breakfast places in London. Superb quality of ingredients and wonderful taste combination. Friendly and quick staff once you are past the door. Very good coffee. Mid range prices. Nothing special decoration or ambience wise but: It is a sought after place with huge demand, so expect a long queue time. Recommended.

We've eaten here at least 4x. Each time we're prepared for the long queue, but observing the staff closely for 1.5 hr wait + 1 hr eating today reveals incredibly inefficient service. Single tasking is the norm. Staff are busy chatting among themselves while people wait to order, empty plates sit around, and several tables wait for bills. At least 4 parties got fed up waiting and walked up to the counter to pay. Food is good, but service runs like molasses. Won't be returning for this 2.5 hr ordeal.

Awesome pub. Very friendly with a lovely, warm and quirky deco. Easily the best pub in the area. We are locals/regulars but also had the experience of renting the upstairs room for a wedding reception; the room easily holds 50 people, is rented on a minimum consumption basis (very reasonable) and has its own bar (with staff to operate it). It is very well insulated; it was Friday, there was a concert downstairs and we couldn t even hear it - we also played live music with no issues. We were given the room the whole day and the owners and staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Thai kitchen operates independantly inside the pub, it's decent food. They also have a party menu - everything we had pre ordered was hot, tasty and arrived exactly at the set time. Overall great experience! Couldn't have been better.

Friendly helpful staff, decent priced drinks and a good atmosphere. Both front and rear garden. Food was a bit poor, we all had burgers and the chicken and fish quality was a bit low. Size was fine chips and salad was good.
