We had set meal for 4 and extra sides to celebrate my husbands birthday with our family. The guy who delivered was lovely and really friendly it was delivered as they promised. The food was lovely and plenty for us all. Thankyou so much. We would highly recommend

Ordered from here almost every week for years. Today was short 70p upon collection and was refused our food. Went to local cash machine - out of order. Spent ages driving round the village trying to get hold of 70p - very very poor customer service for loyal customers. Why bother for 70p? Very disappointing.

Ordered a takeaway only to find 2 dead house flies in the egg fried rice. Shop offered to refund the rice but refused to refund anything else, needless to say I couldn't eat anything after this find. All the food went in the bin. £3 refund wasn't worth the time or petrol so didn't bother. Won't be eating here again.

Walking home, me and my mum thought we would drop of at Chinese takeaway for a nice tea, came home to noodles not being cooked! And duck was fatty and not shredded! This isn’t very funny when takeaway food isn’t cheap these days! I would avoid! Never going there again

Stopped off at sun kong on way home with my mum, for a nice tea to eat when home, got home to find the noodles weren’t even cooked and the duck wasn’t even shredded!! Avoid at all costs crispy duck fatty not shredded cut into pieces thin crispy noodles deep fried which we did not ask for totally unedible. Only ok thing was chips and curry sauce I have to say worst Chinese in outwood never will I enter this take away again!!!

We have used Sun Kong before, it’s been alright, not overly special but ok. On New Year’s Eve we ordered a take away,we used their app as before when we’ve ordered food, the staff taking the order haven’t understand what we were trying to order. Long story short, the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, one of the dishes was missing. So we called them up and said what had happened, kept getting asked my name and my address, after a few minutes they said they missed the dish off, they offered to send it but said it would be a very long time and the rest of the food would be cold, so I asked for a refund, they said I have to contact the company of their app, I said so there is nothing you can do despite taking money for a dish that you not sent. The staff member simply said no, contact them if you want your money back. So I have I’ve not heard anything or got a refund. So in short if you want to be ripped off, spoken to like a dirt and eat very average food, Sun Kong on Leeds Road is the place to go!.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cost of the king prawn and cashew nut meal I ordered last night. But by the same token a bit suspicious that the quality or portion sizes might not be that great. However, after I’d eaten the 5 prawns and the cashew nuts all that was left was the largest quantity of bamboo shoots I’ve ever seen. With a random piece of carrot. I left all that. Looked like it was just a whole tin of bamboo shoots. The fried rice was cold. I think I’m going to give up on Chinese take aways

Food was disgusting it was so bad just one taste of the so called chicken noodle soup put me off and the special vernachelli was as bad I rang and asked for the food to be collected and a refund to be given as it was inedible they have not done so

Best Chinese takeout in the area, easy. Excellent range of dishes, always cooked perfectly and never delivered late. The chicken fried rice is delicious and I won't order from anywhere else!

Ordered from here on Sunday. Not only did they miss some items off our order I also ended up with severe food poisoning resulting in me having to go to hospital. Will not be ordering from here again

This is an awful Chinese. Used to be good, seriously bad now. The food we ordered Chicken and Char Sui Pork fried rice. It was basically fried rice, peas and prawns, there was no pork or chicken. The chicken chow mein had scraggy chicken pieces, like the last pieces on a carcass. There is much better Chinese takeaways than this.

Placed order online for 6pm delivery. They rang at 5 to say was ready did we want it now. We Ageed. 45 mins later was delivered and had obviously been recooked as was burnt and chewy. Will not visit here again

I love Sun Kong and order once a week, always the same Special Curry and Egg Fried rice, yummy, big portion size too lasts me two sittings, definitely recommend

Had a takeaway tonight , salt and pepper chicken, beef black bean and crispy chili beef. Everything was lovely and very tasty. Definitely will say this is my new Chinese restaurant. Yummy

Ordered 2 portions of chips and some spring rolls and had to wait 3 hours (no I’m not lying) for a driver to turn up. The restaurant also think the best way to deal with customers is to take the phone off the hook so it is permanently engaged this restaurant is absolutely disgraceful at dealing with customers. Avoid at all costs and go to another take away that will value your custom. Then after chasing just eat for a refund the restaurant have the audacity to say that they refuse to give a refund.....and act like I had the food when I refused the delivery gone 10pm at night when ordered at 7. Restaurant is a complete joke.

Was always our favourite local takeaway. Used to get estimated delivery time and always well before. Just ordered again at 18:30, estimated delivery 20:00. And as has been the case last few times, have to phone 20 mins or so after estimated delivery time to find out where it is and they don’t seem to care about the time. 2+ hours after ordering isn’t great. Decided not our favourite any more. Food is good, but not worth a 2 hour wait when others can do better. Shame.

We have eaten from sunkong on a regular basis but its sad that I have to give them 1 star we have waited nearly 2 hours for our meal, and the last meal was horrible. This was there last chance to impress and they have failed miserably. And I'm still waiting for my meal. Distgusting I can't see them lasting long with customer service like this.

Used this take away for many years, but standards have declined over the last year or so. Take away collection, be ready in 10 minutes, be prepared to wait 30 mins if not longer. The food has declined as well, along with the food hygiene standards marking. Won’t be using again.

Pre Ordered through just eat for 6pm delivery. Got notification that delivery was delayed until 18:30. At 18:45 still no food. Called restaurant numerous times but unavailable. Used chat function on just eat and eventually at 19:45 was told that my order could not be fulfilled and would I like a refund. Errr well yes if you’re not going to deliver my order! Appalling service. Ended up having toast and honey as was only thing we had in. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I uNderstand we are in the middle of a pandemic and you may be busy but you could have cancelled or not accepted the order at 6pm so that we could have used an alternative restaurant.

Ordered on Just Eat. Lovely food and very tasty. Fast delivery (20 minutes quicker than Just Eat estimated). Honestly one of the best Chinese meals I have had in a long time. Yummy!

Absolutely disgusting. Beef chow main..taste of old vegetables, been sprouts. Terrible. Chicken salt and pepper skewers. Chewy as hell, cooked from frozen chicken strips. Horrendous. 16£ worth of food (3£ local delivery)straight to bin. Not usually leaving bad reviews..but this was a piss take! AVOID.

Rice and meat are clearly microwaved to 're heat due to the texture. Swimming with a restless sauce that has been watered down (it has separated). Also came luke warm. If I don't get food poisoning I'll be surprised

Overpriced average food, no rice included when ordering on just eat and £3.60 extra due to this. delivery charge way more than other chineses. Saw that this Chinese was in the top 5 in the area, very disappointed. Will not use ever again.

First time we have used Sun Kong (as our usual was closed Tuesdays). We shall make this our first choice in future. Estimated delivery time was most accurate of any takeaway we have used in 40 years. Well Done. Food was great too!!

We adore this place; and have bought food from The Sun Kong since I was a little child. Now, the food continues to be delicious, and the workers are always really friendly and sweet! Prices have been starting to increase, which is a bit annoying, but that's due to its increasing popularity. We tend to get the chicken omelette, roast chicken or the satays (various meats) and everything; from the prawn crackers to the noodles; is fantastic.

So after waiting an hour for.delivery and them forgetting our special fried rice we had to wait another half an hour for the rest of our meal only to find a big long black hair in the middle of our rice!

OK, rice not cooked to my taste, just my opinion but not my favourite chinese takeaway in Outwood.

Our go to Chinese, Great price and quality of food. Love the fried rice and chow mein dishes. The O.K Sauce and chips are also great. The only thing i could say negative about Sun Kong is the delivery times for orders. We tend to pick ours up from the store when ordering, However every time we go it seems very busy, So maybe that is the reason. 9/10 One of my top take aways and would order again.

When they are busy you don't get a full portion this was the case with all three dishes we ordered on Saturday but the quality was okay

Horrible, had the salt and pepper chicken and chicken satay, was chewing like a highland cow on it, obviously frozen like! No flavour really either just the usual garlic, sliced carrots and onions. I had a couple of bites of each and put it in me bin, threw the knife, fork and plate over fence just to get rid of any remnants! Sun Kong Fuc*king Krap!

Sun Kong takeaway is ok, the main problem is placing an order, the staff seem to not listen clearly when you order food and on some occasions even say they don’t sell stuff that’s in the menu. Best bet to avoid this problem is to have a menu and use the numbers when ordering the food, some times the good can be quite greasy too.

Had a takeaway once again from Sun Kong. Always quality food, no matter what we order. The whole family love this place and we have never been let down.

Love this place food is amazing and I wouldn’t order Chinese I till I found this place. The only flaut was told is 1hour and wait 1hour & 45mins. Wouldn’t of cared as the food is so good. I will continue to order and prepared to wait.

Sauces are tasty, although food colouring is dreadful. The meat, however, often tastes gone off, particularly the chicken. The place doesn't inspire confidence. Stopped going there because couldn't trust the food not to make me ill.

Ordered meals for four people. Everyone was pretty content and one portion managed to feed two. The Crispy Pork in Peking sauce was delicious and left me craving more. This has been my first positive experience with a Chinese takeaway in a long time. Definitely recommend.

Very glad to say the nearest Chinese takeaway is the Sun Kong, just half a mile away. Always comes up with quality food in decent portions and friendly staff, what more could I ask for.

Had a carry-out beef curry from here on Sun 16/4/17. What can I say but....best curry I have tasted in years.

Order arrived on time, we ordered special chow mein and beef fried rice plus a portion of prawn toast, i thought the chow mein had too much sauce and not enough meat my husband said his beef fried rice was delicious, the prawn toast was luke warm but very nice, we would definitely order from here again. Sun Kong used to be THE Chinese takeaway in the area. However over the past year each visit proves less satisfying than the last. Meals getting blander and blander, portion sizes smaller and smaller and prices higher and higher. Unfortunately this will be the last time i order from sun Kong. There are much better options near by.

Fantastic! Delicious food and delivered fast and piping hot! I couldn't ask for more! The chicken and mushroom dish wasn't too salty as they can often be at different take aways. We would definitely order from here again... especially as you have the top hygiene score our of all of the other Chinese restaurants (5 rating)
