Sultan's Palace in Liverpool

Visited early evening, not having booked, wasn't a problem, as we went almost as soon as it opened, Very friendly staff, helpful, explaining the menu. The food was plentiful, hit and delicious, The Onion Baji started was one of the nicest I ever had. The Nan bread was fresh and delicious, and the curry was just right, consistency and heat wise. The place soon filled up , and people were actually waiting for tables.

Excellent service from being greeted to leaving , food was delicious and very reasonably priced , would definitely recommend

We had been on a day out in Liverpool and booked a table for 5:30. I’m glad that I had booked ahead because there was a steady stream of diners coming in the whole time we were there. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our table in a beautifully decorated booth. The order was taken promptly and both drinks and food arrived promptly. The popadoms and pickles we had for starters and the main courses were delicious, good job we had worked up an appetite during our trip, but we were defeated and still couldn’t finish everything. The restaurant were able to slightly change my meal so I could have a vegetable biryani without the paneer, and the tikka curry sauce I had with it was absolutely delicious.

Sitting place was okay. Starters were little nice but the chicken and lamb curries were so terrible in taste. Noting high the prices, curries looked like meat in simple water without any taste. So terrible.

Perfect good and perfect service. Great service too. They’re not afraid of spice and heat either. Will definitely be back!

From the moment we were shown downstairs, we felt very welcome. The restaurant was ornately decorated to resemble a palace. We were quickly shown to our table, which was a booth. The menu was extensive and reflected all strengths of curry and flavours. There was a great selection of starters. I decided on 3 starters as I didn't fancy anything with sauce. I had tandoori sizzling prawns, onion bhjee and chicken wings, all were excelant. We also had poppadoms and garlic naan. My friend had a chicken byriani, which came with your choice of sauce, my friend had rogan josh. We loved our meal here. The staff and service were excellant

This is the most fabulous Indian Restaurant in Liverpool, if not the world! We arrived at 5.15pm, without a booking. The welcoming, the service, the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant was exceptional. I have never enjoyed a meal in any restaurant more than I have tonight. Please, if you are looking for an Indian meal in Liverpool, there is no where better!

Went to Sultan's Palace last week and it exceeded my expectations in every way. Located in Liverpool city center this restaurant provides an enchanting escape into the world of Indian cuisine. The minimal lighting lends an air of intimacy, creating a perfect setting for cozy meal. I ordered tikka masala and it had the perfect balance of creamy and spices and the service was prompt and friendly. The menu also offers variety of Indian delights to choose from. This was a stopover for me on my way to the Lake District National Park and I believe Sultan's Palace captures the essence of Indian cuisine and hospitality, making it a must visit restaurant for food enthusiasts and anyone looking for an authentic Indian dining experience.

My first visit to Sultan's Palace and they exceeded all my expectations. The flavours are authentic, and the portions are generous. I tried their Biryani, and it was a party in my mouth. The staff made me feel like a regular, even though it was my first visit. It's rare to find a place where the food and the atmosphere both win your heart – Sultan's Palace is definitely one of them.

Lovely traditional restaurant in a basement location (don't be put off by this, it is very nice inside!). Dinner with teen son after a busy day of museums etc. Curries and naan bread were all delicious, service was very friendly. Would definitely return.
