We eat here often - love the food and we always reminisce about our holidays in Greece.

I’ve dined at Sulas for years, and never had a bad experience. They always remember me, and I only have to say the usual please, and it’s all systems go😉. Food is lovely and fresh, I always have the healthy option so I feel like I’ve eaten some quality ingredients. Great, sincere bunch of guys. Dined there this afternoon - yummy 😋 as always 🙏. I have gone to sulas a few times I really enjoy the food and good vibes. I have gone with my family today and we had the best time and great serves.

We have known this place since 2019 and had food there many times. ( eat ins and takeaways) The meat was on point every time we went there in the past, but last night, it was horrible. The food was purchased in the evening by my partner. More than half of the wrap was filled with fatty chunks when she brought it back. There was barely any proper meat in the wrap, which was so disgusting. We will never get food from this place. Such as shame as we never had this issue, but nothing good lasts forever.

I haven’t had such real authentic Greek since I was at my sister Minerva’s house about 2200 years ago

There are few places where I/we can go and eat knowing that the food is always tasty, great and really good portions. For the last 8-10 years we visited this always clean and well presented place as we love the taste of the fresh food they prepare. Having a few special preferences, they don't mind fixing it for us - always smiling. Today we have been there again and I already can't wait to visit them again.

The food is of rather low quality. The meat for the Gyro is fried and cut into very small pieces. The portions do not match the prices. Staff stands at the bar and looks at the customers, which made us feel quite uncomfortable.

It's 5 years since we found ourselves in Southampton looking for a hot tasty reasonably priced dinner and Sulas sprang to mind. My last review was (I think) complimentary and our visit this evening did not alter my opinion. Food was freshly cooked and exactly as described on the menu. The restaurant is simple, clean and unpretentious; service is smiley and prompt. It's not fine dining but does not set out to be. Excellent olives, humus and pitta were followed by gyros and moussaka. Yummy. Recommended.

We loved the vibe and the food. The family salad was cut fresh after we ordered it. The pitta, hummus, and tzatziki were all exceptionally good, and everything was so fresh. We felt the portion sizes were generous, as well. We will come again.

I am happy all the time to eat here. It is a great corner from Greece brought in England with their delicious food. It makes me to miss and remember about Greece more. I remember since I lived in Greece, there are nice bakery products and maybe I will see some like dessert in the menu. Just a thought. xx

A family meal out, I would suggest this is not a family destination or cater to families. We ordered our starters and mains and asked for a 30 minute break between the two. The starters come out and less then 5 minutes later we had the main course delivered. We told the waitress that we had asked for a break between the two and she said she could not do anything about as it’s cooked. When paying the head waitress asked if everything was ok and I said no we had asked for a break and she replied. Well it did not suite us to give you the time so we brought the food straight out. I replied are we not the customer and we had asked for a break, the cook turned around and said they are busy and had to serve us. It was a very rushed experience and I will not be going back to try again staff rude and self important and food quality poor. Bill was £81 Avoid at all costs

Lovely food, friendly staff and quiet relaxing place to eat or wait for your takeaway what more can you ask for. Gyros are one of my favourite foods it has to be said.

I've been to Sulas about ten times now and cannot recommend it enough. The food is absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and it really feels like an intimate family-run business which you don't get the feeling from at big chain restaurants. Love it here and will continue to visit!

Best Greek food outside of Grece

Great restaurant, best customer service I’ve had. Top quality Greek food. And also Erion, the best chef ever.

I went to this place after it was recommended by a greek friend hoping to have authentic food. The restaurant atmosphere was okay although it lacked the stereotypical warmth of greeks, the waitress was polite and friendly and service speed was good. However, the experience was rather disappointing; first the menu pictures were deceiving where they pictured non-existent items and a rather inflated portion size. For example it showed that some items would come with garlic bread but we were told they only come with chips. We ordered the Beef Moussaka and Griddled Chicken fillet and were very disappointed. They did switch the chips with garlic bread for the moussaka (.. who has chips with that anyway?) and the dish was okay but the surprise was the sad-looking single slice of chicken that we paid ~14£ for. Believe me when I say the picture shows it bigger than it actually is. This was ridiculous in my opinion that they charge this much for a small single piece of chicken. Over all, not recommend since there’s nothing special about it.

Sula's is a very lovely intimate restaurant. Fantastic food and very attentive and friendly staff. Would definitely go again and would recommend it. Thank you and Merry Christmas to the owners and staff.

Fantastic place to eat. Most importantly the family who run the business are actually Greek. Food is quality. Always friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, add the fact it is quite small you don't feel part of a conveyor belt. Best Greek for miles. We travel from the New Forest just to eat here.

Fantastic food! We got takeaway and the staff were so lovely, we waited in the resturant for a very short time. The resturant has a lot of natural light and a lovely interior, great atmosphere.

This was my first visit to a Greek restaurant in the UK. The food was lovely. Simple and fresh food. The gyros was delicious and the chips nice and not any oil anywhere. Nice clean and fresh food. Injad a Greek mythos beer too and it had a good flavour.

Decided to eat there with the family on Friday evening. Travelled all the way from Fair Oak having checked the opening times (12.00pm to 9.30pm). The place was closed. All the chairs were on the tables. I wouldn’t have minded but there was no note explaining why and more importantly no note apologising. Wasted trip…thanks

Best Giro pita eaten outside of Greece, good atmosphere and nice people.

Great service as soon as we came in. We were greeted with smiles and made welcome by all staff. Generous portions for exceptional food and at a reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back to Sula’s with my daughter again!

There are plenty of bars and restaurants in this area, offering different cuisine dishes - this time we decided to try a Greek one and ... what a great surprise. It is small restaurant and interior is quite basic, however it makes the place even more genuine. The dishes were prepared at place and the taste was great. To make the things even better, the staff is very friendly - you can really feel like visiting a Greek tavern, even if there is Southampton outside. I will definitely visit this place again if I want to eat something good from Greek cuisine.

Googled where to eat and found this. Reviews looked good so went for it. Popped in and ordered, it was lovely and hot and big portion. Staff were great and helpful.

This place is excellent !! , great service, great food, amazing value. Even though the prices were very modest, the waitress really cared and made sure we were happy with the meal., they made a custom meal for my kid. There is a council car park 5 mins away, and this part of Southampton felt a bit rough. so do take the precautions you would take in any major city center , but totally worth it!.

We’ve been to Sulas 4 or 5 times now and can’t stop going back. The most beautiful Greek food made with such fresh ingredients. Family run with a very humble and cosy interior. Great for a family night or a date night.

A bit disappointing. How can you run out of one of your main meats (lamb) at 7pm on a Friday evening when you have hardly had any customers in? OK meal saved by the puds at the end, which were good.

Really lovely, authentic Greek food. We got it as a takeaway and still hot and fresh. Recommend the mixed meat Gyros and the Mousakka. We couldn’t believe how cheap it was, proper value for money, quality was amazing. We’ll definitely be back many times.

Probably the best pork and chicken gyros I've eaten. Very generous with meat portions in their gyros than other greek places I've been to and lathered in awesome Greek sauce and herbs to pack alot of flavour. Nice little joint.

If I could I would give 7 starts! A true authentic Greek restaurant with awesome flavours and relatively large portions. My personal favorite is the mixed pita and for 5£ it is an absolute bargain. Extra tzaziki is always a must because I can't get enough of it!! Sula sauce is very tasty too as well as the Greek salad! Thank you guys for being here and cooking the food I was only able to get when I traveled to Greece 🇬🇷 It is always a pleasure to see those lovely smiles in the restaurant!

Food is really good, staff were cautious of wearing masks during the pandemics. However, the chairs and tables in dining area were not very clean, perhaps because there were a lot of cooking from inside, which can be improved.

Good value flavoursome food - generous portions. The kids enjoyed the meat! Was looking forward to tucking into pork souvlakia however they had no pork to offer (hence the 4-star). Establishment doesn't take advance table reservations so you're kind of chancing it if you're a big group (we were 6).
