Strupag Brasserie in Highland

Stopped for dinner, largely inedible main course. It’s a tired place, needs an upgrade, was not busy save for some work guys having a beer outside. So disappointed as there are other places in the area. Think it’s under new management so May improve but doubt I’ll try again.

Had Bar Lunch here on 1st June and the Food was excellent and Fresh and the Service was good and Quick

My husband and I ate here twice this week, and were impressed with the standard of food, the service and the value for money. Between us we tried the roast of the day (pork one night and beef the other), the chicken and vegetable fajitas and the haddock with chips and salad. All were generous servings, and quickly and efficiently served. On top of which, the prices were very reasonable. To be honest, we couldn’t fault the place.

We enjoyed our meal in this slightly old-fashioned (in a nice way) hotel restaurant/bar - the ham hock terrine was very tasty, served with a salad garnish and chutneys; the chicken fajitas announced their arrival with loud sizzling, and were as delicious as they sounded. The staff were friendly, efficient and obliging, and the meal was very reasonably priced.

Strupag blends good and friendly service, an extensive menu and pleasant ambience with very reasonable pricing. This is the best pub/hotel place locally and there is no complacency, unlike certain other local hotels. Highly recommended.

Consistently great. For a pub dinner you'd do well to to better in a 100 mile radius. The gravy for example is real gravy. Go for a pie or roast and you know it'll be great. It sounds a small thing but the taste is amazing. Could do with a burger option but put it this way having spent years eating out around Inverness here's a constant, every weekend. Priory maybe edges for a steak, everything else definitely prefer here, go here most weekends because it's basically perfect.

The Strupag Brasserie may be the finest eating establishment in Beauly. My wife and I enjoyed a good dinner. The bar has a nice selection of wine, beer, and whisky.

My husband and i both had the burger and we both enjoyed it. Good quality beef burger. Can't say anything else just good food and friendly staff.

We stayed at the Lovat Hotel and found the food and service excellent and the staff very helpful.Would definately come back

Great value meal - good choice on the menu and daily specials as well. Meals well prepared and presented. It was a busy evening and we were very politely warned of a 20 minute wait which was fine while we had a drink. In many places a 20 minute warning would be the bare minimum and would likely be extended, However on the 20 minute mark our starter arrived. Service after that was slick. The staff work VERY HARD but they work with a smile and nothing was too much trouble to them. This was definitely a huge plus point. The setting would not be to everyone's taste - a bit dark with a tartan/highlander theme throughout. I expect in winter it would be very cosy. A good value meal and a pleasant experience. Would certainly visit again if in the area.

Despite large parties having just arrived, we were served quickly and efficiently. The staff were friendly. The meal was good with a reasonable range of items on the menu.

We had an evening meal for three in the Bar. Nice menu not to extensive but a good selection . Good flavors, well presented at a reasonable price.

An enjoyable meal experience in comfortable surroundings and simply the most delicious salmon dish I have eaten!

We usually just go for a lunchtime toastie which is fine.The staff are friendly and polite.The lounge is pleasant to sit in and have a coffee but there never seems to be many people in when we go. Maybe the fact that it's a hotel puts people off having lunch but it's very comfortable.

Auch ein sehr gutes Restaurant, sehr gute einheimische Speisen, nette schottische Atmosphäre, sehr aufmerksam es und gutes Personal, günstiger Whisky mit großer Auswahl, Tagesgerichte absolut empfehlenswert

Went for lunch and there were 4 main options which included the dish of the day Moroccan lasagne the vegetables were hard and the dressing tasted like diesel, the lasagne was inedible and should have just been called cous cous

Inaccurate description of food on menu. Unable to cook steak medium rare (served well done) and poor quality meat for a high price. Friendly staff and nice decor - I recommend coming for a drink but give the food in this restaurant a miss!

We decided to go here to celebrate my birthday as the menu was on the internet and there was good variety. We arrived early which was no trouble at all and shown to our table which i had reserved - turns out this is the best thing to do. Had a starter and main course - hubby had chicken soup and i had mushroom & goats chees stack followed by hubby having gammon and i had their chieftain venison and haggis in a drambuie sauce - everything was very nicely cooked and presented. Service was very friendly and we weren't rushed at all - very reasonably priced as well. Also you sit in booths which is very nice and gives a bit of privacy

Our order for lunch (on Mother's day) was taken swiftly. The food was tasty, well presented and plentiful. The staff checked to see that we were happy with everything. Very reasonably priced. Pleasant background music. Allowed to take our time over lunch, which was important as we had 90 year old mum with us.

Returned for Christmas lunch this year having thoroughly enjoyed last years experience. Again, enjoyed our lunch albeit there seemed to be a different "feel" about the place this year ....... Last year, we were greeted on arrival by a very professional manager who offered us all a complimentary glass of champagne. No particular greeting this year though (possibly due to the reception area being rather overrun by a large coach party staying over the festive period). Lunch was lovely with a nice choice available and plentiful portions. Apparently the coach party were being fed after the 2 lunch sittings had departed. I wouldn't exactly say we were rushed but certainly didn't feel as leisurely a lunch as last year. This hotel has taken a few knocks on Trip Advisor - We've never stayed here as we live in nearby Inverness. We can certainly recommend the food though.
