Food wise: The hot pot was okay. Not impressive nor bad. we had separate pots. hotpot is normally a sharing pot in the middle but instead we had small pots separately. A bit of inconvenience. my husband and I were passing our pots back and fourth between us. Though the options are okay, Several items were missing at the buffet because it was busy evening and the refill was slow. another thing was the location of Buffett.. it was not centrale.. it was near the entrance/exit rather very odd and a bit far from some of the tables. Our table was on the far side unfortunately. The dessert we had was an ice cream and dog shaped pudding.. though it looked nice it didn’t taste good. Ice cream was flavorless .. it had yellow color not sure if its mango or lemon but there was no flavor. Not only tasted cheap but it also felt like it was old and maybe uncovered. Extremely disappointed with the ice cream. Pudding wasn’t good either! Lacked flavor. I wish if they paid attention to flavor as much as they did to the presentation of it. Service: staff are friendly but slow ( when we were dining the restaurant was almost fully booked) so maybe weekend is not a good time to go there. Atmosphere..rather strange.. We had to share a table with 2 strangers though we booked a table for 2 ahead of time , we were given a large table for group and later on two strangers who came without booking were seated next to us. The waiter told the strangers sorry we put you in this table because you didn’t book ahead of time and its fully booked today.. To myself I thought thats bull .. because even when you booked a table a head of time .. the staff didn't arrange it for is. P.s we had flexible schedule so the staff suggested an 7 pm and we agreed. Anyways, despite all this.. we planned to give it 4 stars because those were minor inconveniences likely because its a busy weekend >>> BUT On the way out just before we leave we went to use the toilet and it was not clean and there were No toilet papers!!!!! So that dropped a star down > unclean bathroom with no toiletries .. ruined our dining experience. :(

Had a lovely time here- was very authentic, food was great and the staff were extremely helpful with the dishes I wasn't as familiar with and how best to cook them! Will definitely be recommending to anyone who wants an authentic 火锅 experience in Belfast!

All of these negative reviews feel highly unwarranted esp when they advertise quite clearly that they are a hotpot/bbq restaurant. The whole idea is to cook it yourself in the broth and griddle pan provided by the restaurant and dip in a sauce of your own making. Anyway the staff here were excellent kind and helpful and very efficient as well as attentive. the broths were flavourful and the food choices were very good. Thank you for a great time, we will definitely be back. Would recommend the fruit cocktail and the bulldog mousse. The free dessert that comes with the hotpot/ bbq was also really nice.

We love steamboat and would dine here when we can, always enjoy the hot pot and BBQ , selection of fresh produce and sides is always great, staff are friendly and helpful

Very affordable, and have great tasting options of beef, pork belly, lamb, shrimp, and fish. It comes with hotpot and other side dishes you can cook on the grill or the soup. Staff are all friendly and attentive in refilling whatever food/drinks you need. It's definitely a great option for a cold, rainy day.

Went for a birthday dinner, would have enjoyed more if the buffet food was labelled. Also more information provided about how the hot pot controls worked. Staff were mostly hands off so if you needed something you needed to flag someone down, not a huge deal for buffet but would've been nice if people checked in on if drinks or anything was needed.

We had the all you can eat Korean BBQ and hotpot and it was well worth the price. There was plenty of choice, lots of vegetables, meat, tofu and seafood. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Had to wait very long (2 hours) for underwhelming and frozen food and had drunk people screaming behind us, which the workers did not care about.

AMAZING! Loved the concept, the experience and the food. Great selection of menu but we all opted for the bbq and broth. £25 per head and so much food was delivered. Did not disappoint. The satay broth packed a punch but was so flavoursome. Staff very kindly explained the premise and any food we couldn't work out. TRY everything. 100% loved all the mushrooms!

Large selection of different items to prepare either on the hot sizzle platters or to combine with broth to create your own soups. Otherwise, there are complete meals to order too, from fried rice to lobster.

We went there two Sundays ago, the place was cold, very uncomfortable. We went to experience the buffet where you can cook your own meal, but unfortunately we were told that part of the service began at 5pm, we got there at around 1pm and we didn't realise that part of the experience was at 5pm so we ordered from the regular menu. We couldn't finish our meal as it was over loaded with spices. When we asked for the bill, the bill was written in Chinese so we couldn't confirm what we ordered. I ask the waitress to explain the buffet experience to me, she took me to an area where the food was stored. I was shocked as the raw meats and raw vegs were not stored on ice. Needless to say that Sunday when I got home I was sick 🤢, and was sick for that entire week. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

This was my first time trying korean bbq and hotpot and it was amazing.Great food and very affordable, it’s nice to go with family and friends and sit in the table cooking your own bbq and soup, there’s a lot of different variety of meat and veggies to choose fromStaff were very happy to help (as I had no clue what to do) lovely atmosphere, excellent food, great time had by all. Definitely be back soon Interesting,If you haven’t eaten like this before it can be fun. A more traditional menu is also available.

I almost vomited after eating a bowl of noodles.

I tried the hot pot and BBQ here and had a great time. The staff were friendly and very helpful as it was my first time using the equipment. There is a great selection of food and sauces and it’s fun to try some new things. The restaurant is quite cold but when the grill and hot pot are on you are nice and warm. It is quite expensive in my opinion at £25 but it’s interesting to try various foods and cooking methods so I think it’s worth it as a treat. I will happily come back here again. Cash only.

Worst meal we've ever had. Food was absolutely disgusting. Service was a joke. Given the wrong starter, another starter was cold, given the wrong dinner and then waited 10mins for rice. Didn't finish our mains it was so bad. Totally abysmal. It's the worst Chinese in Belfast, how this place is still in business is beyond me. Bring your duffle coat, place is freezing inside too. 0 out of 10

Went here for a family night out. I was the only one who dared get the hotpot but didn’t regret it. You have a massive choice of meat, fish and vegetables, together with different sauces to play with. They even brought us extra thin meat slices to cook in the broth. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and think it would also be fun for children to try. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. My fav were the delicious duck pancake starters, and the giant prawns on the grill! Also had variety of Chinese beers! Would definitely come again!

Really excited to try this place for months, we r out for a celebration. We were put in the corner which is ok just a bit small of a table, then felt like we were ignored by staff at times, had to go find someone to ask if we order at the table or the front desk. Told the guy we didn’t know what we were doing and nothing was explained to us except to “pick a broth”, other tables had rice brought out and desserts included and we got neither of those and had to ask a few times just for a glass of water that had been ordered at the start. Had seen reviews about staff explaining foods and cook times and everything which would’ve been helpful. They came to refill the broth with water a few times and changed the paper on the bbq which i appreciate but left feeling really disappointed :(

I loved it. Staff was lovely, explained how it worked since it was our first time here. Food was delicious and the hot pot tasted really nice! There's loads of options, both meat and fish, and veg. Definitely coming back, good price for the quality! Cash only, but there's a cash machine about 1 min away, so not too bad.

Horrible service! Will never come back again. The tall waiter with short hair was rude(bad attitude) and in a hurry in taking our orders. Waited for long time and one of the order is missing. Management should train its staff with proper customer sevice.

The steamboat is a great place if your looking to eat Japanese or Korean food the servers are on point patient and kind our server sherry Was great and reliable and quick we will definitely be coming back here again I greatly recommend the steamboat

Reasonable prices with varies meats seafood and others .We love prawns ,squid and beefs so much. Also complimentary cheese cake at the end was so tasty.

Great all you can eat buffet which accommodates for all dietary requirements. Fun experience to cook your own meal, and considering the all you can eat aspect, it can be great value for money.

Food was amazing, the choice of having hot pot and the ability to fry the food was amazing. Staff were lovely, explained how everything worked clearly, were keen to help and keep the broth topped up.

Let's put it this way, a total of 10 of us went to eat, and 8 of us had gastroenteritis and diarrhea the next day. The enoki mushrooms were black, the marinated beef was smelly, and the self-service sesame sauce was as thin as water. Not worthy of being a restaurant

I would like mention that the price is 23.99 plus 10% service charge and CASH ONLY. I am not sure how to evaluate the food. Because I spent a lot of energy on keeping myself warm. If you left your chair for a while you may need to warm up your chair again after you return. So I would NOT recommend this restaurant.

The food was ok but the place was freezing. No heating on. Everyone sat in their coats. It completely spoilt the experience for us and we left after 45 minutes.

Wouldn't return here the place was cold the food was over done and tasteless there was no atmosphere and the dessert wasn't eatable the place cud do with some modernisation aswell it's a no thanks from me !

I don't recommend this place at all. Firstly toilets are dirty and disgusting, don't know when was cleaned last. No paper towels for hands or toilet paper available either. Second food is crazy prices. We went there 2 adults and a child, child hardly ate anything as they had no kids menu at all. Got charged £91, ridiculous price even in this economy, and had to cook everything ourselves. We didn't even have a desert only main. Third they only take cash, can't pay by card. Nobody even told us about that when we arrived, only when we had to pay. There was about 6 waiters there standing chatting right in front of our dinner table. Behind the counter was dirty, stuff everywhere, not tidy. I'll never go there again and won't never recommend it to anyone. Terrible experience. I'm actually speechless about the whole experience to be honest.

Brilliant experience as well as food. My partner and I got the hot pot and buffet which I highly recommend as the value for money is outrageously good. The soups were delicious and getting to try loads of foods I might never have tried before was such an amazing experience. Staff were lovely and explained how things worked with ease and guided us through our eating experience. I plan to bring my dad and brothers here over the Christmas period as they will love trying something different.

Don’t recommend! Ordered few hot dishes, main food and drinks, the food are really terrible, not native Chinese style at all! Bad customer service; Accept cash only! Tbh the prices of each items are more expensive than other Chinese restaurant. It is not acceptable that they taste so bad but cost much :(

I have eaten steamboat /hotpot in Asia, in the homes of friends and at thsearched for a good spot across UK and Europe. This is the best hotpot we have found. The staff are friendly and attentive and the spicy hotpot is lovely. Excellent combo with the grill. Ingredients are fresh and the broth is deep and tasty. Love this place and will keep returning whenever we are in Belfast!

Has a fabulous meal here last Thursday night. First time visiting and will definitely be back. Our waiter was very patient with us explaining what the buffet items were and how to cook things. Took a while for us to realise the soup is a stock for cooking with (you have individual hotplates). You can also cook in the BBQ pit in the centre of the table. Waiting staff were attentive in clearing plates and brought us more meats. You could literally eat as much as you wanted and we were stuffed. A great night.

The food, drinks and service was really great. The food was fresh and we liked the experience of cooking it. The only thing that ruined the experience a bit for us is the state of the bathrooms. Concept is good/strange(?), Chinese Hot pot with Korean BBQ. Plenty of choices, with lots of meats, fish balls, tripes, Chinese black pudding ( pigs blood curd). Soup base could be more flavoursome as you can lose flavours quite quickly.

Was at this place tonight for dinner the food was nice & fresh, decent selection of veg, meat, fish, tofu and sushi, not only do you get a selection of 5/6 soup base, they also have a selection off sauce. Staff are friendly and happy to help. Very good experience

If you haven’t eaten like this before it can be fun. Restaurants like this are very common in Asia and in particular south Korea. A more traditional menu is also available.

The current waiter's attitude is terrible. In particular, the man who answered the phone had a bad attitude, a very disdainful and impatient tone. The general meaning is: "My service attitude has always been so bad, so what's the matter? Do you like it or not?"

First time visiting Belfast and found this all you can eat hotpot and bbq with free dessert for £22.88 per person. We arrived 30mins after they opened and the food looked fresh and there was a wide variety. There was seafood, beef, lamb, tofu, seaweed, noodles, vegetables, fish balls and a make your own sauce bar. There were cooked food in the form of pickled chicken feet and kimchi, neither were to my liking maybe they are not as fresh. Overall, it was value for money for us due to the variety of meats, vegetables and seafood. The total bill was £52.16 with drinks. (Cash only) When we left, the place was filling up and I'm glad we arrived early. *some comments mentioned food poisoning - after reading those comments prior to eating there, we were extra cautious with mixing utensils and separated cooked with raw food. We also arrived early expecting the food to be extra fresh, which it was. So far, we are feeling well and there are no signs of any sickness. They do have an a la carte menu if hotpot and bbq are not to your taste.

Heard so many good reports about this place and wow they definitely didn't disappoint, food and service was great, furniture was a wee bit outdated but was definitely a great date nite for me and my better half❤️Two steamboat hot pots where you cook the amazing range of veg, seafood, red and white meat and the exotic range of Asian vegetables and sea flora was an experience itself. Totally recommended and only £45 for an enormous feed for two 😜

My partner had food poison after it, diarrhoea and vomit all night. The meat and seafood were just put in the tubs and not fridged, ingredients are not fresh. Broth are below average. My boyfriend was poisoned by food in his hot pot. He suffered from vomiting and diarrhea. The seafood and meat were not put in the refrigerator. The ingredients were also visibly stale. The spicy pot base and tomato pot base were very average. Even when adding soup, he added some boiling water. Stores really need to pay attention to the freshness of ingredients and food hygiene

The dine-in at steamboat is not Fabulous experience at all . The buffet experience is an worthless expensive waste . The hot pot soup was also not great. The raw food especially the prawns should be atleast cleaned for putting into the hot pot. It is an expensive Restaurant with no taste. Not recommended at all. It is waste of money

More than just a dinner out but an amazing new experience for me. It took a while to understand how things worked but staff were so friendly and helpful. The hot pot buffet was super tasty and the drinks were so fresh. This was a meal I won’t be forgetting anytime soon!

I was very impressed with this place. Though their spicy hot pot wasn’t as spicy as I had hoped, it is great value for money, and the service was absolutely amazing. Despite not being as spicy as I hoped, the soup base was very tasty. I’ll be back very soon, thank you for the awesome service!

Staff should be more friendly..

The staff is not friendly and not caring, poor communication. Both BBQ and hotpot were just bad. The meat cooked on the BBQ had really no taste, only the pork was acceptable. The button to regulate the hotpot was broken. All of that for 22 pounds. I just feel I got robbed.

Gorgeous place for DIY buffet. Very amazing and fantastic for dining together. Here you can just choose a mini pot. And you can enjoy barbecue as well. Food and sauce, dip are all over the table. Edwin is so nice and friendly. Jiejie Scarlett is wonderful and fantasy

Have visited before for hotpot and was outstanding. But visited after SIX the musical at the Grand Opera House. Choose to order from main menu, waste of money , poor portions for the price and long wait!! Over priced and waiter made us feel uncomfortable!! He Was more interested in other tables☹️☹️☹️

One of the nicest and most chill restaurants to go. It's a buffet style, and you get your own bowl of soup always bubbling on the individual hobs! All different kinds of meat and fish. There's also a grill per table in which you can cook food. The staff is super friendly, and very attentive to make sure you have enough drinks and they also refill your bowl of soup every so often. Love going there

Everyone should try this place. 100% eating outside your comfort zone. May involve sharing a table with strangers, and if you opt for the buffet priced at £23, it will involve cooking your own food, on a BBQ and in a hot pot. Thinly sliced beef and lamb are brought to the table, giant king prawns, chicken, white fish, and other meats (not fully labeled) are available, veg and various sauces, fresh garlic, chilli and corriander. This food is a taste sensation, but cooking it on your table, yourself, makes it a fantastic experience. The spicy hot pot, and the satay one add some nice flavour, and flavouring the meat is up to you with the various oils and sauces. If looking for something different in Belfast, try it!

Fui allí el 15 de enero con mi novia y su hermana. Era nuestra primera vez en un hotpot / barbacoa coreana, la comida era excelente y el personal no podría haber sido más amable y servicial. Fue una gran experiencia y definitivamente recomendaremos este lugar a amigos y familiares.

We went for some Chinese food, which were tasty and well presented, served by a friendly waiter. But the waiting time was a bit too long, about 25 minutes to get our food, and a small bowl of steamed rice at £3, wow?! Well, generally good!

The food's really nice, and the dessert is the highlight after a heavy meal.

40 quid for hard noodles billed as 'crispy', boiled chicken and warm beer? Joke. If I order salt and pepper I'm not expecting thin and watery soup with a few chilies in it. Oh and cut out this 'pre pay' nonsense. Avoid!
