I had a wonderful time at Steak by Night, the restaurant I used to frequent before the pandemic. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. I really enjoyed catching up with my friends and having some fun after a long time. I will definitely be back soon to try more dishes and have another great night.

Lovely experience, car parking outside or pay and Display, Advice to book a table. Wonderful staff very helpful, open kitchen. Price range from 10 to 20 pound each person. There is a set menu 2 course from 15 pound. Can be busy. Opens from 6 in the evening. Lovely food. Child friendly

First time at steak by night and I was not disappointed! Really good value for money and food was delicious! A small restaurant so service was very good! Will definitely be back😃

I came here hoping I'd find an independent venue in Swansea that was worth attention. It... Wasn't. Service was sub par at best, wine arrived way too warm, and requested water never arrived. We ordered rib eye, t bone and rump, every steak was cooked wrong. Peas were cold and fries arrived tepid and horrible. It took over 10 minutes for sauce to arrive for our orders. For a steak restaurant, honestly shocking service. Steak and chips should at least arrive at the same times, regardless of how they are cooked. We told the manager we weren't willing to pay for our food, she accepted immediately which gives you an indication of the quality they are used to.

Went for my birthday. Very quiet in there and staff were ok. One staff member looked very unhappy and didn't smile once through out the whole night. Overall ok experience

The best steak in the world. Consistently turn out great food, amazing service and always accommodating. Even on a busy Saturday night and no booking. Very cheeky I know ( I thank you foh and chefs for fitting me and my friend in) But your aware of my usual order and know it’s a cooked in a flash!! May the business thrive and continue to turn out a great dining experience. I have only one small hang up (I think it’s because I’m getting older or my tism is slightly heightened but the music can sometimes be a little loud) however I have never felt the need to mention it as I barely talk to the company I’m with as I’m too busy enjoying my food!! Honestly, nothing can divert my attention away from their steaks!! Really want one now!! And the peas! Oh my gosh…the peas! Like are they grown in the back? Beautiful 👏

Food and service was great! Fast service, checked back on to make sure the meals were all good and no issues at all! Little more expensive than I expected but also where else could you get a great steak at 11 o'clock at night? I'm happy to pay a little more for the convenience and the quality! Music choice was great and the atmosphere was great! Only downside which was no fault of the staff or the restaurant was a loud group of drunk lads. Again not the restaurants fault so I would definetly visit again! Thanks for the great experience

Food was amazing. Serving Plates were cold so halfway through meal all the food was cold. Other than that food was fantastic. Door was open and we were say at the end of the bar and it was very cold. I would go again though

No where near what it used to be and well over priced.

Garlic mushrooms not as creamy as they used to be and the peas don't taste the same but this did not spoil the meal just missed the old ways

Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff, took my partner of 15 years here on our night away from the kids, only down point was the food, asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare which it come out cooked perfect, but the taste of it was foul, tasted like they hadn't cleaned their grill since they opened, was no flavour of steak just char, was very disappointed considering I doubled up on my steak too,

Haven't been for some years but nothing's much changed. The meal deal before 9pm was great value; starter (egg mayo plus prawn cocktail - both excellent) plus steak and chips all for £15/£16 - can't beat it. Chips were lovely, steak a bit chewwy and peas went cold too quick. Overall a lovely night out. Will call again. PS they do lots of chicken dishes too.

Had lamb chops delivered so can't comment on the venue but my food was amazing, perfectly cooked and still hot when delivered. Impressed with 4 chunky lamb chops as 1 portion. Will order again

Was ok, a bit too expensive and the food wasn't great.

Terrible order medium rare and it came out blue and cold. Peas were too salty

Absolutely love this place both when Andrew Mann owned it and now with the new owners. Decore has changed and nice and welcoming. Never had a bad meal and this time didn't disappoint either.

Best steakhouse in Swansea & south west. You can keep your overly priced places your Miller & Carters & Jean Piere whats his chops. Long live Steak by night....P.s. Be nice if they had Guinness on tap, thats my only gripe 🙂

Absolutely terrible meat weren’t cooked, ordered minted lamb chops they came with no mint just burnt on outside! The special menu is a bit confusing as they charge for two starters for £15. Didn’t know their prices which made me uncomfortable 🤬 never again .

Steaks could do with more seasoning but nice food.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Great value and quality! I have eaten here from the age of 18 when I used to club in the Valbone. It's just as good now as it was back then. The famous steak by night peas are still the best! The staff are very accommodating and the food was amazing. Think they just need to tweak the choice of music as this would make a huge difference to the ambiance, although it definitely won't stop me from going back!

Food was wonderful the only thing I would say is that they do a two course meal for £15 and yet there's an extra £3 charge if you have the sirloin which is in the £15 deal this is very naughty

Visited here when it first opened 30 Yrs ago Have visited periodically since this was 1st visit in 3yrs Nothing has changed Steaks cooked to perfection fresh chips big portions, wife and I had sirloins son had a tomahawk out of this world Huge portions of mushrooms one sauce enough for4 As for the staff A could not do enough for you pleasant well presented and went the extra mile to help family atmosphere Prices very reasonable considering quality and Quantity of product Highly Recommended

Haven't visited for many,many years no particular reason just somehow fell off our radar...... but it's clear to see why it's still a thriving restaurant. Menu hadn't changed that much which gives it a slightly retro edge and if it's not broken why fix it! Thoroughly enjoyed our meals, starters were generous and tasty, steaks were tender perfectly cooked, as was the burger. Attentive,friendly & professional staff and very reasonably priced, we will def be back soon 👍

It was ok 10 of us went and I must be honest did expect more food was ok but felt it good be improved the service was good only thing I would say is if you have a sauce 1 will serve up to 4 of you we wasted loads toilets were spotless but you couldn,t get a wheel chair in I must be honest I don,t

The food was lovely but I didn’t expect to dine with my coat on as it was absolutely freezing in there, not a comfortable experience, even the waitresses were rubbing there hands to keep warm .

Well cooked steak, very tasty ribeye great chips, nice Camenber starter, sent the peas back as they were cold, no big deal. More peas come also cold, no problem. 3rd portion of peas is huge, ok, might be making a nice gesture,but, they were so salty they were inedible, sent these back also. Who feels the need to send peas back 3 times? Well, today it was me. Just wanted a nice steak and got that so the steaks are good. Avoid the peas!

Came to Swansea for a few days to visit family and decided to come here for dinner. The staff was lovely, the service was quick and the food was truly wonderful. We had suck a great time that decided to come back the next day. Will 100% be back on my next visit to Swansea. The chicken al Pepe is a must have.

Website said it was open when we got there it was closed,can't quit remember what it said on door for how it was closed for but they need to up date their website.

Fist time I've been here in years. Internal seating has changed, there are no booths anymore. Food was outstanding. It's been taken over by the same people who have Maderia on the kingsway. Great menu selection, you can have a 3 course meal. Ladies toilet has not the best lock, bit confusing how to unlock it and when I was there a woman was locked in and was banging on the door foe a while before anyone realised where the noise was coming from. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Good selection of alcohol.

Absolutely brilliant, food was beautiful, quite a large portion for me so couldn't eat it all, I had Chicken Al Pepe, very nice, staff were brilliant even after I knocked my fruit juice over, lovely atmosphere and won't break the bank.

Not happy at all... the staff was very bad. Wen i said my food wasn't right he ask me if i would like to take it home with me.... i had two month fulls and it made me feel sick...

Well where do i start? Haven’t been here to eat for over a decade. Honestly a bit skeptical going there as it’s been a while. But wow! Absolutely delicious, the garlic mushrooms to start. Garlic bread then steak and chips with pepper sauce. Oh my goodness mouth watering tasty food me and hubby were making those nom nom noises as we ate because it was that DELICIOUS. Highly recommend! Amazing food, great drinks. Clean establishment, Great hospitality from the staff and super quick! 10/10 from us. We usually go to Madeira for our annual date night but this is definitely our new go too.

Steak was cooked to exactly how I asked. Garlic Bread was fab. Staff were lovely and prices were reasonable. Tried to go again after a gig in the arena a few weeks ago but was closed as it was a Monday. Would recommend and visit again.

Excellent service from the staff, considering 90% of the customers have had a few 😂. Food was lovely, had a mixed grill which was very reasonably priced. Can't fault it!

Visited Steak by Night for 1st time since the new owners had taken over . We hadn't booked before hand but the Staff were very welcoming and had a table for us even though they were busy . Amazing atmosphere , wonderful staff and we were looked after by the fabulous Lisa who couldn't have been more attentive . The food was outstanding . We had scampi to start , husband had the chicken and I had lasagne with beautiful homemade chips. Very good service. Definitely improved greatly since the old steak by night . We will definitely be returning.

Called in mid week on the off chance as we're recommended by a local. Royal result in my book. Friendly helpful staff managed to fit us in so call in advance to book. Pretty busy but food was served exceptionally well in good time. Best in a very long time. Well done team.

Lovely meal, has changed since I went last as have the owners I do believe. The interior is lovely as is the food, is a bit on the higher priced side of dining out but still quite nice.

Great experience, great food with good portion sizes, great customer service and staff were so friendly and kind, the guy at the bar welcomed me in even though I didn't book a table nor was dressed smart as it was a hot day, the young girl with long blonde hair was all smiles and welcoming, the woman that was waiting my table (Lisa) was kind and helpful, and the young man with dark hair was making jokes and was a great addition to the great service. I was surprised the new management is the same as vesuvio as I had a horrible experience there lately and lost me as a regular, staff over there are very rude. So it was refreshing to see that the staff at Steak by Night is much, much better. I think the staff made all the difference and deserve a raise for that level of service, which encouraged me to tip as well. Thank you!

Dont waste you money 😡😡😡 Well what can I say !!! myself and partner went there this evening had a veg soup for starters omg I think it was cupper soup from a packet we both left it , i approached the manager in there at gone 12 in the night he was with a baby of about 2 years of age with 4 other adults i thought i was seeing things a baby that time of night, i ask "how do u make you veg soup" and he said "it's made with special ingredients and when I ask "come on tell me what veg goes in" he laughed 😕 what a let down we will not be going again we spent over £50 for 2 cupper Soups like water and 2 small over cooked steak & chips with 1 pint of larger & 1 pint of water tamping 😡

Went there for my Birthday table for four and I loved it. Had steak with chips and all the trimmings and strawberry cheese cake for afters. Amazing food and the staff was so polite and helpful would definitely recommend .

The place is a total gem, even with the change of owner, the reason for loving SBN has been kept. Great food, especially superb steak and a cosmopolitan group of cutomers, nowhere else comes close to this great restaurant in Swansea or even further afield !!

Love a cheeky pub crawl and ending with the best steak in town. Turned up late without a booking and still got greeted like an old friend. I watched waitress handle a complicated situation with easy and compassion staff r always amazing

Looking for a good no nonsense steak before show in the new arena then this is the place to go. Stuck in traffic on the way, phoned and explained the situation and they kept our table open for us👍Great value, freshly cooked and real chips....

Great Value food! I had the mixed grill, good size well cooked, my wife had the sirloin which was also cooked to her liking! Drinks were a bit slow, but all round great!

Came here just before my mother passed away food was good but mine came and was cold so went back no problem food came back hot very hot.

Me and my partner went there last night as it was my birthday meal very disappointed with the food my partner had the chicken New Yorker and it was just swimming in barbecue sauce it was really not nice I had a mixed grill I ordered it medium rare but it was well done couldn’t finish it at all very disappointed also the staff made us feel uncomfortable because we felt there was too many on and they were just standing there staring at us definitely won’t be going back here

Really disappointed we ordered two mix grill but the side of the steaks was burnt and tasted bitter also we used to love the garlic bread with cheese but now it look and taste like garlic bread from a cheap kebab shop. Must be under different management. We used to love this place but won't be ordering anymore unless they go back to the old way.

Superb quality of meat! Very well presented and the peas are to die for! Also the chips are very nice just like on your local chip shop. Highly recommend this steakhouse if you are in Swansea .

Food was absolutely amazing, cannot recommend the sauces and steaks highly enough! Service was great and staff were quick to tend to drink orders as well as provide cutlery. Highly recommend booking a table before your visit, and be prepared to pay a premium for premium quality food.

Great place to eat out in Swansea, food excellent, the prawn cocktail starter alone is a meal in itself. Definitely will be back again and happy to recommend others to try it out too.
