The best Balti Restaurant on Brick Lane. We had Lamb Jalfrezi, Special Chicken garlic and prawns for starters. Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere and our host Ahmed was looking after us brilliantly. We definitely are coming back.

Choose another one! You are on Brick Lanne! - The food is ok, you will have somehow good indian food, but expect nothing special. Papadams are expensive, but you would do them better, if doing yourself at home. The spices are ok, but not exactly right. The service, unfortunately is bad. No one really cares, waiter come with food in their mouth. Ambience is nothing to shout hurray. - Choose another one next to it. Why not yellow…

Food was edible but lacked flavour - especially the tikka masala. Saag paneer was the nicest thing we had. Service was fast but overall Would not recommend!

My husband and LOVE Indian food and eat it often around the world. This is by far the worst food we have had. Overtly sweet, lacking spices and overpriced. This place should be renamed below standard balti house. Try another Indian restaurant on the street- it’s got to be better than this.

Quiet afternoon lunch at Standard Balti house. Ordered lamb biryani which was served with slightly spicy veg curry. Overall satisfied and happy with the food and service. 15mins walkable distance from London Liverpool Street station. Highly recommended

It was a great discovery that we made there! We came as a family with us two girls. we found a very pleasant typical Indian restaurant with very friendly waiters who recommended divinely cooked dishes to us. the quantities are generous, even very generous, obviously the cheesen naan was divine like everything else, you can go there with your eyes closed! In addition you will be very well received

Food is average, with good ambience and service. Curries lack flavour/depth with major focus on spice and the chicken was hard. Not completely worth the penny!

Mr Ahmed our server was a lovely lad, as was all the other staff. Food was beautiful, tasty and plentiful. From all the curry houses that try and drag you in on Brick Land were were happy to be dragged in here.

I have visited the Standard Balti House on two occasions and they have exceeded my expectations each time. The restaurant, especially Ahmed, was very welcoming and attentive to us. Their menu offered a wide selection of Indian dishes including vegetarian options. The wait for the food was not too long either. The restaurant had bathrooms downstairs, which was very convenient. Ahmed was very helpful throughout the time we spent at the restaurant including giving us recommendations. The food was a culinary delight and at the end we were given milk chocolate, a very kind gesture. Although, the seating arrangement was problematic. A group of six people were placed right next to our table when there were plenty of seats elsewhere. As these individuals were drinking, the effects of alcohol made them speak loudly which made it impossible for us to converse. This could have been easily avoided if management placed them elsewhere. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking an authentic Indian dining experience.

Wicked place Johnny was very helpful

Warm and welcoming interior, quick and friendly service. I wasn’t very hungry and they kindly allowed me to just order a few side dishes. The tarka dal had lots and lots of garlic (really nice with this current cold weather) and sag paneer was super creamy and subtly sweet.

'THE' Standard for food on Brick Lane. We have been coming to Brick Lane as a family tradition for many years, and have naturally sampled quite a lot of what is on offer. It was a quiet wednesday night in January, and we were on our way to our usual restaurant of choice, but we met Ahmed, who promised us the world and didn't fail to deliver. 10/10 food and service. rest assured, you're in safe hands. Anyone is welcome here, Ahmed will look after you.

To me the dish I had was very much between a 3 and 4. Some bits of the chicken were over cooked and the curry a little oily. On the positive side I came away feeling pretty satisfied and full.

Didn’t have our booking, 7 people squeezed onto a table for for 6, food was just warm enough not hot, service could’ve been faster, portion size very small, service charge automatically added (removed on request) and charged for table water ( removed on request). There are better places to go than here

Visited the place last Friday with my wife and kids along with my wifes friend and her kids around 9pm it was packed we thought we may have to change the venue we thought we ask before we leave and asked we need a table of 10 which is 4 adults and 6 loud kids they looked at us like we had no chance but within minutes the have organised the table which was amazing, all thanks to Mabz (owner) the waiters was so friendly and made us feel so comfortable, ordering food was so easy as the waiter made it even easier, plus the kids enjoyed it as they tucked in to the food, defo will recommend it to all friends and family to go there. 10/10

OK curry, but not spectacular. Had scallops to start, good value for the price but quite chewy. Main ordered sea bass, as they didn't have the crab I red to order. Was again a bit chewy, and really wasn't that filling as fillets quite small. Ended up ordering another vegetable main, which was filling enough but really quite a plain dish of vegetables and a lot of potato. Restaurant had good reviews, so I expected a bit more. You can't win them all I suppose.

We were kindly greeted upon entering with 'salam aleikoum'. The staff was very friendly, and service was prompt. The appetizer was fine, however, the main course was very tasty. There was a rich variety of dishes. All sorts of allergies and eating preferences were well taken into account. We were with a large group of 80 people, but still we were helped quickly. Next time we go to London we will definitely go again to Standard Balti House!
