We’ve been wanting to go here for a while. A long weekend gave us the chance and we were not disappointed. An amazing array of tapas dishes followed by a lovely mail and dessert. Some of the best food we have had in a long time, easily the best place to eat in Hay on Wye. Highly recommended - a must try!

This is a fab, fun concept; but I think the 5 star reviews may have attracted a pickier diner who expect michelin style environs. It has the stripped down vibe of a pop up, with simple canteen-like chairs and tables and a small waiting area where you can enjoy a few drinks.

The Old White Horse Inn

11/10/2018: Stopped whilst doing the waterfall walk. There was far too much choice on the menus and having made a choice the items were not available - third choice made the meal was excellent. We returned to the pub a couple of hours later and Joe went out of his way to assist - above and beyond - he is an absolute gem and the pub is very lucky to have such lovely staff - thoroughly recommended
09/09/2018: Excellent food and good beer. 8 of us went for food and everyone loved their meal. we would recommend the lamb or the chicken and pulled pork Friendly service best pub in the area mains were around £12-15 worth the money

The Shoe Makers Arms

06/12/2018: What a find! Variety of dishes, vegan and veggie and GF catered for. Mahoosive portions and home made. Really nice staff and a cosy environment. We have already booked for lunch next Sunday
26/07/2018: Came here beginning of July, staying nearby in a holiday cottage. Lovely unspoilt country pub with good beer and had a beautifully cooked bar snack of Gammon egg and chips. Tried to eat there again later that week but should have booked as there were no tables available. Recommended.
