It brought back memories of a home cooked meal on a Sunday as a child at my nans. Fresh veg and amazing beef, lovely jug of gravy followed by a stunning trifle and great value. The team work hard and recommend it highly .

Home cooked food, wholesome and so tasty! I can’t stay away - often have the full Welsh breakfast, but also love the lunches and the cakes. Tea in a proper teapot, cups and saucers, good coffee. It might be someway off the coastal path but previous reviews had tempted us to make the detour and we were not disappointed. The Welsh rarebit with bacon and poached eggs was excellent and generous portions too. Thank goodness we had another 3 hours of walking to work off the food. It was busy even on a Monday in February so clearly it is not just us who rate this place.

I can't rate this place highly enough. We had a traditional welsh breakfast and a veggie breakfast and I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I've ever tasted. The homemade glamorgan sausages were fab and every mouthful was delicious and perfectly cooked. We couldn't manage cake afterwards, but took some away - a generous slice of lemon curd cake (gluten free) which was just as good as the breakfasts. We'll definitely be back (considering making the 1 hour journey from home from time to time, just because it was that good and open all year round)

As there were several teenagers on our trip, having breakfast at the garden centre was a great incentive to be out of the accommodation in time. The coffee and breakfast were great and very welcome. Staff were very courteous and willing to please. As this is their first week of opening post lockdown, we hope a lot more people will think of this as a stop before departing on their way home. The garden centre itself is stocked with some lovely vibrant plants and we would have loved to purchase some, but a full car and long journey prevented us from doing this.Given that we revisit the area in the future, we will make breakfast here a feature of our last day in the area.

Been meaning to visit for a while (we know the lovely Simon who has bought the business), so on a sunny day when I needed some plants for pots in our garden we finally drove over to St Ishmael. The drive through the lanes from Haverfordwest is a reminder of how gorgeous the Pembrokeshire countryside is - it is not all about the coast. We walked around the actual garden centre first (I used to visit in the 80s when it was a very well regarded plant nursery) and chose a few plants. The stock is varied and fantastic quality. They all are suited to the Pembrokeshire soils/wind, and really healthy indoor plants, as well as a big range of all the other things you need for gardening. We then had a coffee and cake in the cafe. We sat in the outside seating, but there is also a cosy indoor area. Will definitely return for lunch soon, as the menu looked tasty. I can see why it is so popular. Book a table if you want Sunday lunch. A fantastic place to visit.

When I complained I was told by one of the ladies who worked there we should of told them that we didn't like mayonnaise on everything when booking the table in advance.as group of ladies for our birthdays we have visited many places and had cream teas we have never had to state that at booking anywhere else. Most enjoyable meal - nicely cooked and the sweets very nice indeed. In spite of the weather there were quite a few people enjoying the Sunday lunch (noticeable all plates empty going back). Will go back, hopefully in the sun.

My family were very disappointed with the Sunday Lunch, although it was nice the portion size of the veg beggars belief! One very small gratin dish between three! Unbelievable! We all thought it was one each even then the quantity would have been small. We certainly won't return for Sunday dinner but as a garden centre it really is lovely and worth a visit. We bought a lot of plants which were very reasonable.

Stopped for lunch here during my never ending quest for plants. Both indoor and outdoor seating available at the cafe, the outdoor being dog friendly. There's a fair sized menu with breakfast and lunch items, and cake, cream teas etc. I order a panini which came with coleslaw and a nice quality side salad. £5.50. The panini wasn't a panini but a toasted Baguette. I was having a lovely relaxing time until one of the other customers answered her mobile phone and continued to squawk at the top of her voice for the remainder of the meal. This obviously doesn't reflect at all on the cafe, just that if she happens to read this, put a sock it in Love,!!

Visited this wonderful establishment during Easter 2017. I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Simon, the centre's owner, went out of his way to find me the perfect wedding anniversary gift for my wife. Simon was able to use his extensive knowledge on plants to suggest a beautiful Japanese Peace Lily (my wife was not disappointed!). I will be returning very soon with the kids for brunch in their quaint cafe! Thanks for all your help, Simon!

We called in for lunch and had our first experience of Cawl, very tasty and great value followed by tasty home made treacle tart and lemon drizzle cake. Only rated very good as there was little choice presumably due to new ownership but sure it will soon be a great option particularly as the pub now only serves food on Sunday lunchtimes.

Under new management since my last visit had what I can only describe as one of the best breakfasts in the county. Friendly staff very helpful . Spoke with one of the new owners and for Pembrokeshire gardeners this is one to put on the weekend visit list

This garden centre is such a gem. It's such a different exoerince than trawling around the larger chains. Great, friendly personal service and planting advice and some beautiful olive and crab apple trees. Worth a visit just for a coffee and browse even, Plenty of outside space to browse and good parking. Nice and flat for those with back problems.

Came here with the husband whilst visiting family, was pleasantly surprised by the small and cosy cafe where I had a lovely chocolate log. Afterwards I asked a worker what he would recommend for my small garden back at home and he took the time to show me round all my options.

You know you’ve hit the right place for lunch when it has signs up saying they’ve sold all sandwiches for the day. Needless to say we made it there the following day to grab some baguettes. Good home made lunches and reasonably priced. Noticed they sold out again shortly after. Lovely to grab the food outside. Friendly crew running it all as well.

Visited here with friends for Sunday lunch, would recommend you book ahead as they get quite busy. Car park in the hotel grounds but if this is full, more parking down the road only a short walking distance away.A nice welcome from the receptionist, then we were asked to sit in the bar and given the menu. Had a drink whilst waiting for our table, lovely surroundings with plenty of comfy chairs to sit in. Restaurant is very traditional with lots of period features.A very good choice of starters, mains and desserts with one main vegetarian option. Three of us opted for the leek and potato soup and one for the salmon. The soup was okay, one had to be returned to be re-heated as it was cold and we all agreed that there was too much balsamic vinegar on top and nobody was able to finish it all. A good choice of bread rolls was on offer with the starters. For the main course 3 had the pork and one the beef. Generous portion of meat, the pork was lovely and tender. The beef was very rare, which wouldn't suit everyone but my husband didn't mind. Excellent selection of vegetables, beautifully cooked to perfection and plenty of gravy. Roast potatoes were very salty. Still and sparkling bottles of water on the table which was a nice touch but I'm not sure whether they were complimentary or not. Pleased to see they use many local suppliers.Nice selection of desserts but we couldn't manage one after the generous portions of starter and main. Opted for tea and coffees, very nice cappuccino served with chocolate mints. I believe the cost was £10.95 for one course. £14.95 for 2 courses and £18.95 for 3 courses which we thought was very good value. Our table was booked for 1.30 by the time we were seated it was 1.45 - this was not a problem but what did annoy our party was the fact that at 3.30 and whilst we were still having our tea and coffees the staff started stripping all the tables around us and setting up for the evening meal so we felt obliged to drink up and go. If this needed to be done before we finished then the least they could have done was explain and perhaps ask us to take our coffees in the bar area - we wouldn't have minded. We all thought this was unacceptable.
