Spotted Dog in West Berkshire

A friendly welcome, and good food! Our group of 4 all had different meals, and all were excellent. Portions are generous, and everything was very tasty. A good find - we'll go back.

Excellent food! Kev puts on a superb roast and great hospitality! Well worth a visit! Everyone left with full bellies and smiles.

Excellent Sunday lunch. We come here with family each year after meeting for a local Remeberence Day service. The Sunday roasts are so good, service so efficient and they are so cheerful and accommodating. We had to add extra numbers about 3 times this year before we got it right, but they were happy to help. We will of course be back next year.

Sunday lunch was excellent i had a beef dinner and my wife is vegetarian and she was very happy with hers also.We had been before when there was 6 of us and had to come back !!Many Thanks.(soon to return)

We’ve had several meals here recently and every single one has been excellent in every way, better than we’ve experienced anywhere else for a very long time. Yesterday, our family birthday Sunday lunch was just superb - the service, food and ambience was fantastic. Massive thanks to Kev and his team for everything. We shall defo be back soon.

Just enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast at this lovely pub. Even though they were full to the brim we had excellent service, together with an amazing roast dinner. Would definitely recommend this pub and it is certainly very good value for money. The tempura prawns were very tasty as a starter plus the leeks in cheese sauce was exceptional. Well done to all the chefs and staff for an amazing lunch.

Prebooked our dinner so we could eat in a short space of time! food was booked for 6.10pm we were sat eating by 6.15 as we were a little later than planned food was kept warm in the kitchen until we arrived and the food was amazing really lovely I had fish and chips and it was almost too much!!the portion was huge Will definitely be back again especially when everyone was so accommodating Thank you very much

First time back in over eight years. Found the place to be lovely and cozy. Decor fresh and bright. And Lisa who served us was just so friendly and helpful. The meal was exactly what we asked for and so tasty. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Going back for Sunday lunch.

We met up for a family gathering as it was my Husbands birthday, most of us had the Sunday roast, must be one of the best roast dinner I have eaten, the amount of lamb you got was amazing, variety of veg and plenty of them, the gravy was to die for, would throughly recommend going for lunch. The staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly. We had a lovely meal.

If you put it on your business card then you’ve got to deliver, and The Spotted Dog does that on all fronts! Great food, good service and value for money. It does exactly what it says on the tin, it’s pub grub served in the friendly style one should expect in this type of establishment. It’s Friday lunch so fish & chips all round, no issue for the request of a small portion for my small portion preferring father which was appreciated. Nothing more to be said other than looking forward to seeing Lisa & Erin next time. And as an aside,I am not easily impressed but for the two times here, spot on! Excuse the pun ………
